Reviews for Ohn-Bar Guesthouse

Review 1:Price is high taking into consideration there is no breakfast in the facility. However, this is a general problem in Israel.

Review 2:Views from most rooms are amazing, The Spa facilities in each room is great, Owner is helpful and nice, Huge DVD library with all the movies you missed in the past... Great place

Review 3:1. It was not clear that there is additional vat on the price. In Israel, it's against the law to show prices that do not include vat.2. The currency was not ILS. They charged us in $ and we are in Israel! It should be local currency ILS as it is the local currency (like all other bookings through booking.com) 3. There was not any balcony with any view. 4. The bathroom was dirty

Review 4:They were nice and they let us stay after the check-out time.

Review 5:The location is amazing. Very peaceful, calming. I have never had such a beautiful view from a room--ever. We used it as a base for trips to the Golan and Tzfat, but I would like to come back and have the village be my destination next time.

Review 6:The ceilings in the room were low and in general felt a little closed in... even the balcony was closed in - you had to stand to see the amazing view.

Review 7:The hosts were helpful and thorough The view from the room was great

Review 8:Location View from the room Well appointed room with lots of spa, relaxation features. The moshav was beautiful, even in the rain. Proximity to Safed

Review 9:The sauna didn't get very hot. The view is partially blocked by the orange trees and rose bushes - trim those down so that the view can be seen while sitting in a chair.

Review 10:Quiet - except for one night (next room had barking dog and crying baby) Comfortable Large Luxurious Hot tub in the room Lots of windows / light

Review 11:The guesthouse was incredibly comfortable and homey. We had the most amazing view from the balcony. The proprietress was informative, helpful and engaging. A nice touch was the large movie collection available for borrow - she gave us a great recommendation for an Israeli film and we enjoyed it very much.

Review 12:jacuzzi had black bits in the water jets

Review 13:amazing location and great views, comfortable and clean

Review 14:Beautiful place. Helpful and friendly staff. Room was very comfortable. Beautiful views.

Review 15:Not very clean, not particularly gracious service

Review 16:Beautiful location, good facilities

Review 17:The setting is just lovely and the set-up of the rooms is very inviting. It's a great place to relax and unwind.

Review 18:Minimal markets or dining out opportunities.

Review 19:Very cozy and romantic retreat set within lush vegetation. Private.Owners very accommodating; went the extra mile for us arranged forpayment of our parking ticket!

Review 20:The town had potential but when we visited neither place to eat we were told about was open. It's a get away and not convenient for those types of things

Review 21:The view of the valley and the Kinneret. The coolness of the room. It was like a cabin.

Review 22:On arrival we were very poorly greeted by the owner. She had no patience for us at all ( i was sure she couldnt be the owner but she was indeed). All info in the room (except 1 small sheet) about the MOshav and the surrounding areas were in hebrew so it was useless for us. In 3 weeks of touring the country this was the most expensive accomodation and the only one that did not include breakfast so we found out on arrival. For an eco friendly place there was way to much plastic furniture for my likings. At approx 8am on our first morning they were renovating the room next to us so it was very unpleasant ( no warning provided). What is a lovely view from the room can only be seen if you are standing at the balcony balastrade, if you are sitting in the chairs provided there is a wall and pot plants blocking your view. The matress on the lovley bed is foam so it was most uncomfortable. The moshav seemed lovely however there were road works throughout so we were unable to get around to see anything and the map and info were in hebrew so we had no idea where to start. Isreal is such a great country to travel through so the accomodation is not the most important part of your holiday anyway. oh and we were charged VAT even though we are australians. we were told we could claim back at the airport (this is not true) .For some reason this venue was the only place in 3 weeks that charged us VAT everyone else excepted our passports to avoid the extra 17% tax.

Review 23:The room was tastefully decorated and spacious. The home made wine and fruit basket were a nice offer on arrival in our room. The spa bath is great size for 2 to relax in. The selection of movies are great and the surround sound t.v was a good gymick too.

Review 24:very friendly hosts. We had a suite with large deck, providing great privacy and view of the surrounding landscape. The guest houses are very nicely designed and built with much attention to good materials and details.

Review 25:amazing views of Galilee, the cabin was beautiful and wellsupplied, it a a wonderful Jaccusi which we enjoyed, the cabin is set in a vegitarian community, on thursfay we had pizza made outside by a local family cafe, a lovely village. Great place to stay especially for a couple or a romantic stay! not ao romantic with kids, but still qworked well, they had a table tenis table and swinging hammocks, also a very large tv and endless supply of dvd options which the kids enjoyed.

Review 26:Wonderful position to base oneself for exploring the North, fabulouscountryside with expansive view from the terrace and very helpfulowners, who provided useful information and fresh fruit/dates/wine. Perfect for complete relaxation.

Review 27:This place is amazing! Everything was often from start to finish. We even decided to stay an extra night because of how much we liked it. The staff is friendly the rooms are great and the location is spectacular.

Review 28:A little short of space to move between bed and table

Review 29:location, atmosphere, interior decor

Review 30:The free WIFI was too weak.

Review 31:Sauna, Jacuzzi, DVD entertainment system and a spectacular view.
