Review 2：A professionally run B&B where everything worked and in a fine central position, but still far enough away from the centre to be quiet. Good breakfast except that it seemed to finish earlier than they said.

Review 17：The sound proofing of our was not good. We could hear simple taking from the next room. The toilet seat was broken and was not fixed while we were there. The shower curtains smelled very musty.

Review 19：Door needed a good slam to shut, which must have upset everyone. Asked for a quiet room away from stairs/lift but got room next to stairs. Card was pre-charged, twice, despite stating wished to pay in local currency, but was all resolved.

Review 21：I was taking part in triathlone on Sunday , so stayed there sat and sun night with my boyfriend, ideal location , right in the middle of town, 2mins walking to everything! Room was perfect, clean ,ideal for our stay.

Review 22：Small thing...when we searched online for a B&B in Athlone, thecolour of the Arch House was yellow. So, when we got there from Galway,we drove around trying to find the street and looking for a yellowhouse. When we found the correct street, the house was green! Maybe, theonline picture could be updated

Review 37：Broken pane of glass in front door which was an annexe and opened on to the main street of Athlone - Treadbare towels of a very dark colour - Not possible to fill kettle from sink this had to be done with a glass - Pillows that had no protector just a flimsy pillowcase - Very shabby somewhat grubby carpet on stairs and floor covering in bedrooms was well worn Carparking was very difficult entering and exiting a very narrow alleyway (would not feel happy using it at night) the carpark itself was littered and almost impossible to reverse into spaces hence making it difficult to get out as space was so tight and again exiting on to a main road.

Review 38：Iv stayed twice now in The arch b&b and im yet to b disappointed. Muhammad is always very friendly and on hand for anything you need. All the staff are very professional and take pride in both there appearance and in there work. Its always cleaned to the highest standards and the food is lovely.

Spotlessly clean room and toilet, lovely breakfast in the morning and fantastic price, what more can you ask for? To top it off, super fast free wifi was a major bonus. Highly recommended if you are planning to visit the Irish midlands :)

Review 53：Room was uncomfortably hot and you couldn't adjust the heating so we had to open the window and it was so noisy with drunks shouting on the street, speeding cars etc... Such as shame as the B&B have tried to rectify this problem by fitting special windows. Turn the heating down!!! Kettle in bedroom was filthy and I would not use it.

Review 77：Parking was horrendous in entering and leaving site.Room was very small and noisy through the night.Thin walls,Steep and narrow stairs.This is the first negative comment I have ever posted but for the life of me I cannot understand why on earth this place has a four star rating when whilst the staff were excellent the accommodation barely manages a 3 star in my opinion and only just.

Review 85：The room was so small you could hardly walk around the bed. The bedwas hard as a rock, though I was told it was only 2 weeks old. Thebathroom was tiny and the towels very worn with no bath mat. Thepictures are quite misleading and don't reflect the poor qualityof the linens or the tiny room size. This place would be okay at 60Euros but not for 90 Euros.

Review 90：Stayed in this B&B for 12 nights while I was looking for something to rent. The location is superb, in the center of the city and close to all amenities. The room was always clean and neat. The breakfast is delicious, with many options.

Also had a vegetarian option for breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, they made enquries for us for the Viking cruise, and looked after our bags for us while we were waiting for the train.

The Stubs pub and the pub called Seery's is really à must do. The restaurangs near the castle next to the river has very good food...the staff at B o B was great
