Review 1：time constraint - we reached at the hotel about 9pm cos we are from Kuala Belait and our work ends at 6pm. we wanted to stay longer say until 3pm to check out but not able to cos they said many guests are coming. so our request were not accommodated

Review 4：There was scarce transport. There was no one at the Lobby of the Sea View Tower to assist us in getting anywhere. It was a bummer. Also, when we went for a morning swim, there was no towel available. What??? When I asked the pool guy, he told me that the towel is available at around 9:00a.m. So why open the pool from 7:00am if no towel will be available by then???

Review 6：Room is old and need renovation included bed and mattress need to renew to new set. Breakfast is not included with such price. It's just nice worthy if breakfast included.

Review 15：We have stayed in many top hotels around the world; stemming from NewYork, Florida, Washington dc, Dubai, Spain and the uk. The Empire Hotel,however, was the most amazing of all the hotels we have stayed, cateringfor everyone's taste in a most luxurious, peaceful and palatialsetting. The staff were extremely friendly, cordial and attentive whilstthe facilities can only be described as extraordinary. Quite simply,this is an outstanding hotel.

Review 31：- The service is impeccable. You will be treated like a king/queen. The staff are so lovely and friendly- The hotel is (I believe) the only Brunei hotel located on the beach. This is wonderful for a day of relaxation - The free wifi is extremely fast - The afternoon tea is delicious (local savoury snacks and cakes) As a bonus it is very cheap at only 17 ringgit pp (obviously there is no alcohol available) We enjoyed afternoon tea on a Sunday and a beautiful pianist seranded everyone with classical pieces as well as current pop songs - The rooms are beautiful. The booking.com photos do not do this hotel justice, it is much MUCH better in person. Our bed was huge! - We enjoyed dinner in the onsite restaurant Pantai which was a buffet dinner with delicious seafood and local dishes. Great selection and beautiful beach front setting

Review 100：Our initial experience was dissapointing because of our accomodation.Our room was in god forgotten sea view part of the hotel. When I enteredthe room I was shocked how poor it was: old furniture covered inscratches and stains, worn out carpets, blood stains on sheets, motellike curtains and cracked tiles. On top of it smell was disgusting. Wewent back to the reception for the clarification and even with anintention to cancel our whole stay. I must say the duty manager handledour request with understanding, very professional and promtly replacedus to the main part of the hotel where rooms were renovated (apparentlynormally they are sold as premium). New room was very good and up tostandard of good 5 star hotel however they should be sold as regularrooms, not premium. A 5 star hotel should manage its stocks properly.Constant unavailable items in the menu is not nice for guests. (Thephrase: ´sorry it,s finished´ we heard literally everyday of our stay).Next to it, there is no alcohol sold in in Brunei and of course there isno alcohol sold in this hotel as well. Moreover it is not allowed todrink alcohol in any place belonging to the territory of the hotel.Guests can drink the alcohol they brought with them from abroad only intheir rooms. In the city however there are few restaurants where you cantake your own bottle of wine but it requires 20 minutes drive. Also onfriday we wanted to have lunch around 12 but there was no food avaibalbein the whole hotel until 2 pm due to weekly religious services. Thehotel should have warned customers about this upfront. Beach next to thehotel is also disappointing as it is totally emty and not take care of.There are no sunbeds, beachbars or any kind of facilities. Spa is verynice, I had view massage sessions, which were very nice and relaxing.However over here was also an issue: the bathrope I got was not properlywashed and was dirty around the neckline.
