Reviews for The Captain's House
Review 1:Close to the waterfront, cafes and tavernas. Looks to be a fairly recent renovation, rooms and hallways decorated individually with a nautical theme. Attentive staff. Separate lounge/reading room with a piano.
Review 2:The only complaint was that the air conditioning was not working and we were told that no-one new how to fix it !! As a consequence, it was noisy at night to sleep with the windows open.
Review 3:Lovely hotel, nicely decorated and furnished in a very convenient location near to shops and restaurants.
Review 4:Nothing at all.
Review 5:A beautiful hotel close to the port and and lots nice little restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff with great recommendations. The hotel is much better in real life than in the website pictures.
Review 6:The only disadvantage for me was the variety of the food for breakfast - it could be a little more (add some vegetables and fruits)
Review 7:Perfect location, extremely friendly staff, comfortable and nice looking
Review 8:It was all excellent, so leaving was not welcome!
Review 9:Location, quality of suite, friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff were all excellent. Wonderful fresh bread at breakfast. Greece offers excellent value for money at the moment.
Review 10:Although we only stayed two nights we found it very noisy, being woken in the early hours by shouting youths, a barking dog and very loud motor scooters. Preveza itself would be a great town if it wasn't spoiled by unlimited graffiti on nearly all the walls and numerous road works
Review 11:Beautifully restored Hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
Review 12:It's hard to put my finger on what I didn't like, certainly 'The Captain's' is an above average hotel, but for me it lacks character, sorry.
Review 13:It's hard to fault this hotel, everything is done 'right', down to the classical music playing at breakfast time.
Review 14:Booked the junior suite for only one night, wished we could stay more! Great location, great service, very good quality breakfast, clean, nicely decorated room, great bedding. Thank you for your hospitality
Review 15:This boutique hotel has a wonderful ambiance. The staff, Natasia and Krystalia were extremely helpful. The Captains House is a stones throw from the port and close to restaurants and bars. The room we stayed in was immaculate, spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was traditional Greek fare with home made 'pites' (pastries) and other local produce. Overall this hotel provided a wonderful stay in Preveza.

Review 18:For anyone looking for a sea view this would not be the place to stay.
Review 19:We stayed one night in the Captain's house prior to a 2 week sailing holiday from nearby Lefkas. The decoration and comfort of our room and the communal areas were exceptional as was the welcome we received. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Preveza and we would chi-oose to stay there again ourselves.
Review 20:The restoration of this old captains house is of the highest quality. Our room was small but extremely comfortable. The reception and assistance from the staff was welcoming and very efficient. We immediately booked to stay on our way back through the town and would recommend the Captain's House to anyone.

Review 25:Everything; the staff were so lovely, the atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for calming down. Both the adults and the youth were impressed - tour 20 year old daughter said "If I once in my life need to relax, I will return to The Captain's House".

Review 60:Katherine was a lovely host and made us very welcome. Our afternoon tea was a special treat. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return one day. Thank you to Katerina.
Review 61:A major problem is that the staff smoke and therefore it smells much cigarette smoke on the first floor.
Review 62:Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is good and comfortable and perfectly situated.
Review 63:We have been here the second time and everything was as nice as ever. The house and the welcome are charming. The location perfect in the middle of the old town directly on the town pier with many restaurants and cafes nearby. This is a lively neighborhood. We will certainly stay here again.
Review 64:Only one small problem which will not take much to rectify. In my room number 6, its only a hand shower. All they need to do is add a fitting to have a hanging shower head.
Review 65:Absolutely awesome hotel. Friendly staff, Super Clean rooms, great breakfast, Great location. BRILLIANT STAY
Review 66:The towels didn't feel clean. I hade to take another shower and used the smaller towel instead that didn't have this stale odor.
Review 67:Stepping into this boutique style hotel makes you feel at home. The interior is adorable and the staff friendly and welcoming. Big plus is the spacious sitting-room/library. The Breakfast was very good and for a small hotel like this remarkable, splendid! The night life in Preveza is interesting for a foreigner. I had a feeling that it was very greek and classy. I enjoyed every minute!
Review 68:Our room had no view whatsoever. More expensive rooms are available with a sea view.
Review 69:Very quiet, clean, modern room. All windows had mosquito nets and double glazing. Very friendly staff. Parking was available. The hotel is in the middle of the town, a block away from the seafront, next to all the tavernas and bars. Has a very well decorated common room with a piano, books and space to relax.
Review 70:Very friendly and helpful staff. We had to leave early in the morning, long before 'normal' breakfast time. Nevertheless, the next morning at 7.00 hrs a complete breakfast with lovely warm bread rolls was served!
Review 71:We enjoyed everything about The Captains House, it is a little gem. The lounge is a delight to relax in and listen to music. The staff very helpful and friendly and the rooms very clean. It is also in a good location with a small amount of parking.
