Reviews for Collaig House
Review 1:Our room was clean and comfortable with a fabulous view. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and made all the more special by the woodpecker feeding on the nut feeder just outside the window. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay.
Review 2:Nothing to complain about in terms of the property, location or hosts. The nearest pub was unfortunatly not serving food on the Monday evening which meant a 7 mile drive to the nearest village, but once there, the food was excellent.
Review 3:Everything, nothing at all to complain about. The room was excellent, service from the hosts was top drawer. Home made bacon & sausage for breakfast. View over the loch, stunning.
Review 4:WiFi didn't work when we were there. I hoped there might have been a bath or at least a big shower cubicle in a B and B described as "luxury". Dinner was not on offer, as had been described in the publicity material.
Review 5:The location; the hostess was friendly and welcoming and gave us cake and tea after a long walk! The hosts went out in the evening and trusted us to let ourselves in and out of their house which was appreciated
Review 6:Our room was nice, with a view on the lake and a great kingsize bed. Julie, who is very friendly, prepared us a wonderful dinner. A B & B, we will probably return to!
Review 7:Only 2 nights but wish it could have been longer. Beautiful house, views and everything of the highest standard. Nothing too much trouble, Julie and Jamie are a great couple, warm welcome, amazing food and the room was gorgeous. Beautiful views over the Loch and so peaceful. Highly recommend.
Review 8:What they are advertising on their website is true everything is done to a very high standard and if you want to eat in Julie is an excellent cook and the dining room is bright and airy overlooking the garden.
Review 9:The house is quite remote. The drive was a bit scary for me as big trucks where zooming along the road quite fast and it was a single track road. Fine if you are used to driving in country roads, maybe not if your city people like me! Can't really fault the service at all and the views were fantastic.
Review 10:Beautiful views across the loch and gardens. Very homely feel and was made very welcome by Julie and family along with eby the dog. There are hens as well which my husband said the eggs were amazing! The food in general was great and I'm sure if you needed anything the staff would be happy to help.
Review 11:Julie and Jamie are really good hosts. Breakfast was great with home made marmalade and toast. We can highly recommend this accomodation and would certainly book again
Review 12:Apart from the windy road in, which you got used to there is nothing to dislike. Perhaps a sign when you reach the local hotel might be useful to let you know you are still on correct road.
Review 13:Quiet location with lovely views Great breakfast Lovely hosts Fabulous dinner Great tips about what to do around the area Home cooking was yummy
Review 14:I should have done more research as to the location as Collaig House is 8 miles from an A road
Review 15:Julie and Jamie the hosts were lovely people and made us feel very welcome. Julie cooked wonderful breakfasts. The Hotel at the end of the lane 8 miles away served great food.
Review 16:We had a really nice stay at Collaig house, stunning view's, excellent breakfast and very clean, I would recommend this B&B to anyone. Diane & Rob
Review 17:That we were only there for two nights.
Review 18:The quality! From the carpet to the ceiling and everything in-between. Lovely sitting area outside with great views of Loch Awe, the perfect way to end your day. (With obligatry glass of chilled wine) Breakfast was great too, top notch black pudding.
Review 19:This is my third time at Collaig House and I will be returning again next year. Facilities are second to none and Julie cooks a mean breakfast to kickstart your day,
Review 20:Nothing.
Review 21:Lovely helpful hosts and staff, high quality accommodation. Beautiful setting handy for many areas of the Highlands. Packed lunches were readily provided for our walk up ben Nevis, and perfect poached eggs for breakfast!
Review 22:Nothing really
