Reviews for Mazis Apartments

Review 1:Although the hotel is not too far from the beach, it's situated at the top of a long and steep hill. Something to bear in mind if you're not physically able or in good shape.

Review 2:The hotel was beautiful, with an incredible view of sea and mountains. Very clean, and the owners were very kind and friendly. I was on my own and they made me feel right at home. The room also comes with a kitchenette and A/C. And there's a supermarket attached to the hotel. Super convenient. I also got to use the pool and pool bar across the street. And Agios Gordios is a picturesque village. I highly recommend this hotel and location!

Review 3:Only 2 complaints - poor wifi (was either not working or working terribly slow) and uncomfortable pillows. Oh, and that amazing view comes at a price - ~15 minutes downhill/uphill walk to/from the beach. We thought it was worth it, some may not.

Review 4:Amazing view from the balcony, very clean, has a super market on the property, access to a nice pool just across the street... and oh yeah, did I mention that view

Review 5:Had to buy washing up liquid and a sponge, a small detail you dont want to bother about when on holidays. 10 mn walk uphill from beach (further uphill than located on google maps) but ok for fit people.

Review 6:Beautiful panoramic sea view, cosy flat. Nice and helpful hosts. + hotel's shop.

Review 7:We loved eveyrhing!!!

Review 8:What a fantastic apartment. The two owners of the apartments are absolutely lovely. Everything was beautifully decorated and very clean. Gorgeous views from both the balcony and the pool. We will definitely be returning.

Review 9:Not a bad experience for us but could be for some. The view was outstanding but the appartments are on a hill above the bay. So a stiff climb up fdom the village.

Review 10:The view from the appartment was outstanding

Review 11:The apartments are not for anyone with fitness issues unless you have transport as the hill up to them is extremely steep, but we were 2 ladies in our late fifties who liked walking so were not put off.

Review 12:Great eating places, beach, views, people very friendly and helpful.

Review 13:- It's not a negative of Mazis - but worth noting that it is up very very steep hills, so you will be walking up and down a lot to the beach. Watch out if you're not a fit walker - We didn't have a double as requested, just two twins put together which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable

Review 14:- The view is stunning and each room has a lovely balcony - All new, clean apartment and bathroom - the shower was lovely - I read that wifi wasn't good, but it was great for us in the studio flat - Everything is walking distance, with a supermarket right underneath. The pool is next door and great

Review 15:- The appartments are located on the hill 15 min from the beach 7 of which you will have to climb up along the steep road. However you can rent a bike or car to solve the problem. - wifi access in rooms was sporadic and discontinious. However it was always good near the reception which is a bit lower the main building. - old TV in the room and only 9 channels. They say it is common problem in that part of the island and there are not too many appartments with tv at all

Review 16:- Comfort room. - despite only single beds staying together are available, they are rather comfort as well. - stunning view from the balcony on the mountains and the sea from all rooms except for may be rooms #1 and 2 on the 1st floor, - very fair value for money, the owner's shop right near the apps where you can buy everything you need - food and other stuff. - very pleasant, friendly and helpful owner and his Family. They will help you to arrange anything you need (car rental, transfer, entertainments)

Review 17:pillows were not comfortable, but the cleaning lady immediately changed them with another ones and we felt much better. Fridge in our room 004 was noisy and we had to switch it off for the night.

Review 18:We will come again, as in general the atmosphere (family run small hotel) is exceptionally friendly and cosy. All rooms are facing the sea and quite spacious. Family owned supermarket nearby - very convenient. Beautiful and quite location, not in the heart of noisy area with all bars and restaurants and just 5-10 min walk downhill to the sea.

Review 19:Good access to the beach, but not so great if you have trouble walking up steep hills back to the lodging. It was no huge problem for us, but can be a sweltering experience.

Review 20:The view from our balcony was stunning, the owners very kind and personable. There is a shop right at the foot of the lodging, which is very handy if one needs food or drink. The kitchen was well-equipped to cook - plenty of pots and pans - and cook we did. Good WiFi, decent shower. A/C good but we mostly let in the fresh sea air, and it was mostly quiet with our balcony door open.

Review 21:It was located on a hill and the walk to/from the beach was a bit hard in the summer heat. Not recommended for elderly persons. Beds were hard.

Review 22:The owners were very nice and accommodating. The had arranged for the taxi drivers to open the rooms when we arrived in the middle of the night. Nice view from the apartments.

Review 23:Compressed shower cubicle

Review 24:Quiet location. Great views from the balcony. Airey apartment. Plenty of hot water. Frequently changed towels and sheets. Well maintained and decorated.

Review 25:The owners were very friendly and the views were gorgeous. Handy swimming pool and bar across the road

Review 26:Wifi worked only near reception. Air conditioner - extra paid.

Review 27:Amazing view from the balcony, very clean, friendly owners.

Review 28:Great place for our vacation! Very nice and friendly owners. I will recommend this place to all my friends. Breathtaking view!

Review 29:Beds are hard and pillows are like resting on stones, had to switch pillows.

Review 30:Studio with wonderful view of the Agios Gordis bay.

Review 31:Not renovated apparently for a long time, but still a very good price value

Review 32:The view from the balcony

Review 33:-mosquitos (we were aware of that already through booking.com, so we took precautions), nevertheless, maybe a flyswatter should be provided my Mazis in every room - extra fee for AC (5EUR the day) - poor selection of TV channels (but we didn't spend too much time inside anyway) - pillows quite uncomfortable

Review 34:- The view from the balcony (Studio 6 we had), from the upper floor the view must have been even better -very friendly staff - Irini is taking good care of the lovely garden - eventhough Agios Gordios wasn't our first choice, we do not regret having stayed there! would definitely come again!!! - quiet surroundings, short distance from bakeries, several mini markets and bars/tavernas - room has been cleaned every 2nd day - free wifi in rooms - spacious

Review 35:Massive hike up hill from beach. Really too much after a day in the sun. If taking car to beach very narrow access through village to car park where if you're lucky to find a space you have to pay.

Review 36:Beautiful gardens

Review 37:We were given room 3, on the ground floor, on arrival. There is the trunk of a large palm tree a few feet away from the window, so not so much a sea view, more of a tree view. However, we were able to move to a first floor room after 2 days, fortunately, and had superb views from there.

Review 38:A very kind and friendly welcome from Spiros(Mr.Mazi) when we arrived from a late flight at midnight. We had asked him to book a taxi to collect us from the airport - this is well worth doing, costs 30 euros, ask for Nicos, who is charming and knows the family - and he greeted us with the gift of a large bottle of water and 2 cartons of juice, as the supermarket had closed. It is very convenient to have the supermarket just below the apartments. And the Sofia opposite has a pool and a bar. The rooms are simply but pleasantly furnished, clean and well equipped with a basic kitchen for meals on the balcony. Lovely views of the bay and the distinctive rock at the far end from the first floor rooms. Be sure to get one of these! And a very pretty garden below. It is a bit of a walk back up from the town, but well worth it for the quiet and the views. In town, the Romantic Palace (with an upper floor with sunset views) does superb sea bass and a fantastic Greek night once a week, complete with musicians (bazoukis!) singing, dancing and a spot of plate-smashing! A really happy, family-run place. Best beach bar is the Poseidonio, with free loungers/parasols for guests. There is absolutely nothing wrong with their vodka and fresh orange juice...and they do good snacks for lunch on their terrace. Agios Gordios is (in early June anyway) a really relaxing, friendly place, with mostly families and couples on holiday. And sitting on the beach, watching the fabulous sunsets over the sea is wonderful.

Review 39:Having to run up the steep hill back from the beach when it rained!

Review 40:Stunning view from balcony. Supermarket on site, so no need to go downhill to the village for supplies. Very friendly and helpful family who run the place. Lovely gardens.

Review 41:The Internet worked on and off, and the bed mattresses were a bit on the thin side. Agios Gordios has TONNES of mosquitoes. Come equipped with Off.

Review 42:Amazing view, well-equipped apartment and good shower. Clean. Helpful owners. Mazis is probably the best place to stay in the village, as it's on the hill, and you can sip your morning coffee with a postcard perfect image.

Review 43:Be carefull, Mazis hotel location on the map is wrong, hotel located rather high. It is very useful for those who need fitness. And because of its high location you can get wonderful views from the hotel room.

Review 44:Great view from the room balcony, market in the hotel, staff attitude, very warm and clean sea, sandy beach with showers, tasty restaurants, relax atmosphere everywhere in Agios Gordios

Review 45:Beautiful sea-view panorama, very clean room and bathroom, very kind &helpful staff.

Review 46:The view is beautiful!

Review 47:The walk up the hill!

Review 48:Everything fine. No problems at all. Can recommend. Staff very friendly.

Review 49:Steep walk to apartments from beach.

Review 50:Stunning views. Very clean.

Review 51:Location on the map is wrong. It is nog on the beach, but on the upperstreet of the vilage.

Review 52:Great viewfrom the rooms, good kitchen
