Review 1：Constant noise

Review 2：Went for a relaxing break but was bitterly disappointed with the noise pollution. The hotel.was taken over with families from dublin who let their children run amuck all over the hotel floors till the wee hours

Review 3：Room was very cold, despite turning up the thermostat, view of shopping centre bins not the most appealing and breakfast was poor, very little food available and no staff member around to ask, had to wait until a staff member came to get coffee, restaurant was very quiet so no excuse, 10am Sunday morning

Review 5：I felt the menu was limited and the food was not as good as previous stays.breaded mushrooms were part of a platter dish but when I asked if I could have the mushrooms alone as a starter I was told no..no nice chicken dish only in a stir fry. The roast of the day was turkey but who would want turkey so soon after Christmas. Roast beef, lamb or chicken would have been nice..instead of just sirloin steak, fillet would be a nicer choice. Fresh veg was just carrot and turnip which was all dried up as if kept under a light.and the price we paid did not reflect the food we got..this hotel use to do a fab brie starter, a nice garlic bread, crumbed mushrooms, a braised beef dish, chicken, a better selection of fresh veg but the unfortunately not this time..would have been better off going to the chipper next door..lighting in bedroom is so poor you would need to do your makeup in the lift, best lighting in the hotel.

Review 22：The dinner menu in the restaurant did not change during the weekend when we stayed there which was a little disappointing although the food itself was without fault.The chairs in the restaurant & bar are extremely low (we had our elderly mother with us who found it difficult to get in and out of them) and they are quite badly stained and in need of a recover. Also there was no where to sit and chat in comfort over a drink or two.

Review 23：All of the staff were lovely and very helpful and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms were clean. The gym facilities are also very good and very clean. The pool area also looked really good & clean although I didn't try it. The bar food looked amazing although we didn't partake of it and the food in the restaurant was very tasty.

Review 24：Friendly Staff....helped us bring all our bags out to the car in the rain. Had a 10mth yr old baby with us,she had a ball. Staff couldnt do enough for us in the restaurant.

Review 25：Just few small bits, as we stayed with a small child (still in nappies) we spent a lot of time in the room. There was no bin in bathroom, kettle wouldn't boil, sink in bathroom was blocked and there was hair in the shower. I also found the interior in the restaurant a bit shabby for example the chairs had a lot of stains on them. I also order sausage & chips for our daughter in the bar one evening, the sausages were definitely reheated from the breakfast that morning, my little one even spat them out. Not good enough!

On second night we got no sleep because of a huge amount of shouting just outside our room door ( rugby team partied all night ) Our room was 208 close to stairs and lifts.this left us way too tired to enjoy or do anything next day. We were left with no towels in room for most of the day . Cups and saucers were left to dry on bathroom sink.

Review 58：Lovely, modern hotel on the outskirts of Athlone but near the majors roads.. Spotlessly clean in all areas of the hotel. Friendly and helpful receptionist on check-in and on departure. Great selection of breakfast buffet items, tasty cooked breakfast .. No noise at night time within the hotel or from outside. Will be returning again! Good value for money :)

Review 66：The leisure centre was filthy in every location. There was rust and mildewed the floor hadn't even been swept in the changing room, the pool had scum around the entire thing. The poor hygiene put us off going to try the Zen beauty. The hotel itself was ok. The room had some issues, the cups and glasses weren't all clean, there was mildew on the shower curtain, we found an old biscuit on the floor and the carpet was stained in several places. The curtain kept coming off the runner too. We were in a hurry to leave, so didn't have a chance to mention all of this to staff.

We have stayed in lots of hotels around europe and Ireland and have never come across this before now. ... if someone booked a day off work to make a long weekend of it , it would most likely be monday.. very few hotels close their spa one day a week not to mention two.

Review 128：The main problem we had was lack of heating in the room! No air condition (I should have checked this before booking this hotel) just very noisy radiator (when finally on) and no heating in the bathroom at all! – was really cold there. We had to contact reception each time we were discovering that the heating was gone. And it was gone approx. every 2 hours. When we arrived the room was freezing cold and we were staying with our small baby, I believe once they placed the cot in the room they should think that we would need the heating as well! I even rang main desk at 5am as the heating was gone again, they put it back for 2 hours again. Honestly it was really annoying. I have never ever in my life rang reception so many times over one thing! When checking out the lady promised to look after the problem! I am sorry but it was not really our problem anymore, it should be done while the guests were in the room! The price of the room was high enough for having the problem like this. I would also add that the bar is very small, it’s like the hotel lobby rather than the proper bar. The breakfast was nice, but not many options to choose from. I would say that it will not be our choice to come back as I believe that for the price we paid we could get better service.

Review 129：We decided to go to Athlone just for one night to visit the city, the hotel is too far from the town and you would need a car or taxi to get to it. The main advantage of this place is swimming pool and Super Valu and delicious pizza from Roma take away just two steps form the hotel 

Review 130：Wifi signal wasn't great in the room, As a non smoker I recently gave up I was quite annoyed that someone a few rooms up from me was smoking the whole time we stayed there and the smell was quite strong we chose this hotel as it said it was a fully non smoking hotel this did annoy me as the girls getting rooms on the floor ready must have smelt it
