Reviews for Margarona Royal Hotel

Review 1:The hotel is situated at an inlet. The view from our rooms were very nice, either across the pool to the water or into the greenery. There are rooms facing the road, so it might be good to call the hotel to get a nice view. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpfull - including the waiters, the reception staff and the manager. The rooms are nice, the aircondition worked well and the bathrooms are very good - you appreciate this especially when you know the usual Greek standard. We booked the hotel with breakfast. The buffet was with a good variety. The terrace to the pool and inlet was very pleasant to sit on in the morning. The town of Preveza can be reached by car within minutes and the beaches (we prefered Monolithi beach with crystal clear water) are just a 10 minutes drive away so it is possible to return during noon to the hotel room.

Review 2:The night we stayed there were festivities due to a big wedding which caused some problems: 1) loud music that you could not avoid in the public areas until quite late, 2) the parking was full, 3) it was surprising that the breakfast area only had large dining tables available (holding 5 or more) which meant that you had to share the table if you were in a small group.I am not sure if this is a permanent feature or was caused by the aforementioned wedding but either way, it was inconvenient. It was also interesting that such a hotel only had wifi available in the public areas and not in the rooms (we were aware of this from the hotel description in Booking, so we were not surprised and cannot complain, it was surprising nonetheless).

Review 3:The friendliness of the staff: They did whatever they could to alleviate the problems that were created because of wedding festivities taking place during our stay. They also gave us excellent directions for sightseeing.

Review 4:What an a terrible hotel. Not clean (showers and toilettes in the pool area just awful, carpet in our room as well),unfriendly staff, all this for 150€ per night...

Review 5:Nothing.

Review 6:The hotel rooms are dated and musty. Don't feel clean. Bed and room was below average compared to lobby and reception area. The breakfast had a lot to choose from but not a lot of quality. They could upgrade the quality and cut down the amount to choose from. The hotel is far from Lefkas. Shuttles were expensive. Location is not ideal.

Review 7:The staff was very helpful in getting us rides to Lefkas town. Lobby and pool area was very nice!

Review 8:wifi was not available to our room as it was located on the edge of the corridor.

Review 9:The receptionist guy was very friendly! He helped us by informing us about the sightseeing of the area, with what to do, etc... The breakfast was good! Although there was lack of traditional products from this area of Greece on the breakfast. The staff in general was very kind and friendly!

Review 10:Nothing

Review 11:We had a chance , a very good one being there. Firstly we were sceptic, of its position, etc.. But when we arrived there enjoying the great view ...ah fantastic!!! The hotel was lovely, i would like the kind hospitality of all the staff, a special greeting to Vagia and Kristina in particular. The breakfast was perfect, the swimming pool very friendly, my daughetr enjoyed very much. The cleannes was adorable. We for sure we will be back at Margarona Royal Hotel.

Review 12:Generally we prefer boutique hotels but we were here for a wedding which they did very well

Review 13:everything was what you would expect from a top class hotel.

Review 14:amazing facilities and the staff were wonderful in every respect. the management should be very proud of them

Review 15:very poor choice of menu for supper

Review 16:Very obliging staff

Review 17:Frioendlinness of the staff, and the luxurious feel of the hotel.

Review 18:slow laundry facilities.

Review 19:Excellent hotel

Review 20:The food, including breakfast with its diluted orange juice and badbread, was very poor in quality by international standards. The buffetevening was bizarre with a bad pianist accompanying our bad food withhymns played on an ancient piano! The waiters and maitre d'hotelwere unhelpful and surly, while hardly anyone spoke anything other thanGreek (we speak both English and French). It was also disagreeable thateu regulations on smoking at meals and in other locations were regularlyflouted. Non-Greeks find this most unpleasant and also unhealthy. Butconcern for the comfort of guests was variable.

Review 21:The excellent pool, the nice staff (girls and man) who served at thepool, the nice senior lady in reception, the accessibility to the townvia a taxi. The maids cleaned our room immaculately. We enjoyed the townof Preveza very much where we ate almost all our meals (see opposite),and also had a delightful boat trip from Parga to Paxos.

Review 22:Everything was good, very happy with the hospitality of the staff & decor of hotel. I feel the town prevaza let's the hotel down, derelict. I think the town needs to be rejuvenated to support the hotel & it's location.

Review 23:Great place and wonderful staff, we had a fantastic stay, everything as you would expect.

Review 24:The wi-fi cost of 1 euro!!!

Review 25:The room was clean, spacy parking area, the stuff was polite and they had a smile for us every moment!!
