Reviews for Harbour View B&B

Review 1:Nothing.

Review 2:This B&B was beautifully decorated and comfortable, spacious room with a wonderful view across neighbouring green fields to the harbour. The hosts were delightfully friendly and helpful in every way, the breakfast was superb.

Review 3:The room was large, comfortable and nicely appointed. Breakfast was fantastic! Lots of choices and all delicious. Amy, the owner, was extremely helpful and charming, as was her morning helper.

Review 4:Had to pay by cash at the end of my stay which was unexpected. Yes it was in the small print of the email confirmation but that wouldn't be something I would read. I would recommend mentioning it to guests as they check in. I managed to scramble together enough for the 2 night stay otherwise I would have had to visit a cash machine and there is only one a good few KM away at the Cliffs of Moher visitor Centre

Review 5:Lovely B&B with great views of the countryside. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable of local area and tourist venues Great rooms some with sea view and fantastic breakfast

Review 6:It isn't very close to Doolin if you like to walk as we do the road is steep and narrow, so not walkable. Be prepared to drive.

Review 7:Quiet and immaculate rooms

Review 8:Harbour View B and B was a short three minute ride to the pubs.

Review 9:Everything was absolutely excellent. The staff were amazing, and the room was comfortable and clean.

Review 10:Short drive rather than walk to pubs of Doolin.

Review 11:Our hostess was delightful and extremely helpful. The breakfast was delicious and there were a variety of choices. Quiet despite being on a major route!

Review 12:When I reserved it said breakfast was included but ended up not being the case. Sounds like a problem between booking.com and the owner! But I had to pay extra in the end.

Review 13:Clean, comfy beds, cute town. Fooling has some great pubs! Live music and good food.

Review 14:It was all great.

Review 15:Staff went out of their way to customize our stay. Suggested where to get cheese, smoked fish, bread, wine etc. and put them in the fridge for our dinner on the deck with a fabulous view on a sunny afternoon / evening.

Review 16:So welcoming! Assisted us with our ferry reservation to Inishmore (Aran Islands) a quiet night's rest the night before, and a lovely, hot breakfast before we were on our way!

Review 17:They charged extra for breakfast. Never heard of this before in a B&B. Seems its just a B!! My father's room was at the back of the building when I thought I'd booked a room with a sea view for him!

Review 18:Good breakfast. Our room had a sea view.

Review 19:Lack of fruit at breakfast. No bath for guests. Shelves in the shower.

Review 20:Breakfast was delicious. Maybe a few oranges and bananas grapes wouldn't go astray.

Review 21:We loved the location. A village feel with all the comforts of a city hotel. Amy is the perfect hostess, warm and friendly. She also gave us great advice planning our route to our next location. Good breakfast selection also.

Review 22:The bedroom had a moldy smell , the bathroom blinds very dirty with dead fly's on them.Would not book this accommodation again. Taxi was owner brother and fares very expensive we felt we were very over charged and fares varied on both nights

Review 23:Nothing! (Except that we couldn't stay longer!)

Review 24:Wonderful hostess, great location, and SPOTLESS room! I wish we were able to spend more time there! We would recommend Harbour View and would definitely stay there again if in the Doolin area!

Review 25:From the front of the house, we had a great view of the ocean and the Aran Islands. This B&B was the most modern out of the five we stayed in. Amy was very welcoming and made us feel right at home.

Review 26:We had room 7...facilities were v poor yet necessities were there. There was a travel hairdryer in cupboard but no plug anywhere near mirror, ensuite was tiny, no shelf for toiletries etc, shower itself v small, blinds wouldn't close properly, 2 rooms in one but neither adequate. Breakfast was only ok. Mushrooms were gritty. Table beside us got mouldy bread with their breakfast.

Review 27:Nothing was overly impressive, stay overall was just ok. Beds and bed linen and towels were clean which is important.

Review 28:Nothing at all

Review 29:The B&B is run by two friendly ladies who try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Excellent breakfast (especially the pancakes)! The accomodation was quite large and very well maintained. The rooms were also very spatious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also quite large with an excellent rain shower! There 's a enough parking space in front of the B&B. A good location to start from when visiting The Burren, The Cliffs Of Moher and Doolin!

Review 30:The walls were paper thin and I could hear everything (some of which I didn't need to hear) but this is common in Irish B & B's.

Review 31:The mattresses were awesome, it was very quiet at night and Amy was a terrific tour guide as to where to go and enjoy the surrounding areas.

Review 32:Could have used a small table/shelf in the bathroom and a somewhat larger trash container. (These are minor issues)

Review 33:The manager and staff, (Amy and Shelby) were attentive and wonderful, the bed was sumptuous, the room was immaculate and the breakfasts were stellar.

Review 34:The view from our room was absolutely one of the best in Ireland, overlooking the water and farmland. We ate wonderful food at McGann's and listened to local music in another nearby pub. The full Irish breakfast was delicious and the chance to play with the friendly little hypoallergenic puppy who lives behind the B&B was an added bonus.

Review 35:Location is a bit far from Doolin and the harbour for walking but the area is great otherwise.

Review 36:Perfect view of Doolin Harbour and the countryside. Watched a beautiful sunset over the ocean from our room. Great deck also. This is a fairly new, modern facility run by a great hostess, Amy.

Review 37:Beautiful location and stunning view! Lovely and caring host - Special thanks for lighting up the fireplace just for us:) Breakfast was very good! :)

Review 38:No harbour view and too far away from the centre of the village. I felt the pillows and duvet were in need of being replaced

Review 39:The friendly atmosphere in the house. The friendly staff

Review 40:Loved the accommodation beautiful home and Emma was so very helpful myself and my partner were only staying for the one night for a family wedding but I could not recommend the Harbour View strongly enough. It's easy to see why Emma had a full house on Friday.

Review 41:Absolutely fabulous B&B!! the service was fantastic, the setting was beautiful, breakfast was a real treat, lovely relaxing atmosphere will definitely be staying here again !

Review 42:Location : not impressive. The only negative about this place. On the map it seemed to be right on the cliff but its on a busy road. Although the windows dont allow any sound in, but not a view of the sea or harbour or the cliffs

Review 43:Rooms and cleanliness : VERY NICE SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE CLEAN ROOMS. Beds were big and comfy , room was well equipped and very well done. A Cozy place. Breakfast : Well made local breakfast. Could have been better priced!

Review 44:This B&B is located very close to Cliffs of Moher. The house is clean, spacious and the owner, Catherine is extremely nice and helpful. We loved our stay!

Review 45:We cannot think of any negative points.

Review 46:Harbour View B&B is a place we would definitely return to when we visit Ireland again. The stay was lovely and we received really useful advise on where to go (music in pubs, restaurants, et cetera). Nice views from windows!

Review 47:The location is excellent for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and the surrounding area, the staff were so pleasant and friendly, offering advice on local activities and restaurants, the breakfast was good (hard to beat a home-cooked meal!), and the room was quaint and cosy.

Review 48:village is quite a distance away and walking on the small roads isn't very safe (especially at night). so don't stay here if you want to drink during dinner as you'll need to drive from the restaurant to the B&B

Review 49:Very close to the cliffs of moher (less than 10 minute drive) nice view nice rooms

Review 50:The only disappointment was the shower, because although it looked very impressive the water pressure was extremely poor and made it the only negative for me of the whole stay.

Review 51:Everything really with the exception of the shower pressure.

Review 52:Wonderful owners

Review 53:Very clean. Beautiful views great room excellent breakfast

Review 54:Cute home type stay.. Close to the town of doolin

Review 90:The owner was so welcoming and friendly . The place was spotless and the view was truly worth the stay.its a bit out if the town but I would definitely stay there again.

Review 91:We liked everything.

Review 92:The Harbour View was by far the most spacious B&B we found in Ireland. The room was very modern with great windows, lots of light and a fine bathroom. Kathy served an excellent breakfast in a beautiful dining area. The location is convenient and quiet and very close to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. We would certainly stay there again.

Review 93:The location was great and view of the bay was stunning. Cathy was a wonderful host. The amenities were great with a spacious room and ensuite Breakfast was delicious and a nice variety to choose fom.

Review 94:There wasn't anyone there for 45 minutes to welcome us but the door was open. Felt Harbour View gave impression it was near the harbour but you could only just see it.

Review 95:Room pleasant and a good irish breakfast with pretty view of countryside

Review 96:No mirror in the bedroom and very little surface area to put things. A shelf or 2 would be good.

Review 97:Lovely welcoming owner, decent size bedroom, big bathroom lots of hot water. Nice breakfast with plenty of options.

Review 98:The best B&B i have even been. - - The banana bread they served in breakfast was very very tasty. - we checked in at 7:00 PM and they also arranged tea. Coffee, snacks. - location is fantastic - Very near to cliffs of moher, doolin caves and doolin village. In all, I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone.

Review 99:As soon as we walked in it was like home! Everyone was so personable and accommodating. The room was warm and cozy, the food was tasty, the view was beautiful.

Review 100:No complaints. Everything was perfect and great value for money.

Review 101:Everything. Staff were lovely, gave us great recommendations and a lift to the village (which would only have been a ten minute walk anyway). The house, and our room in particular was lovely. Very spacious and clean. Nice view. Breakfast was great. Great value for money.

Review 102:The views from Harbour View B&B were magnificent. The accommodation was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. We especially liked the parking facilities, the ramp leading to the main entrance for easy access with baggage.

Review 103:All -The extreme friendliness of Kathy and Jonathan -The first rate breakfast with fresh fruit salad and much more - The spacious nicely decorated rooms with modern bathrooms - the cosy sitting room wth many books available and the terrace with view ocean view - the remarkable scenery we could enjoy

Review 104:Very basic breakfast. I did got a full irish fry and ceriel which was good but that was it.To be fair I am used to staying in hotels which would have a bigger variety of food. A mile out from Doolin village.

Review 105:Very clean and modern. Friendly reception. Good facilities.

Review 106:The owners were great - very welcoming. Room was great looked out over the ocean. The room was large and the beds were very comfy. The breakfast was great. Would stay again
