Reviews for Panorama Hideaway
Review 1:The sun beds only lay flat so are really uncomfortable. But we bought lilos to lay on top of them so we were fine.
Review 2:Everything! The place is so cheap and you get so much for your money! Just the view is worth what you pay. And Maria - what an amazing person to spend a week with, we loved her so much. Dassia is also a great base for Corfu but I would recommend a car to go to the other side of the island some days. I've seen people complain about the hill, but it was fine and worth it for the view.
Review 3:Steep walk up from the resort centre Don't believe that there is soundproofing as described
Review 4:Beautiful views, good location, wonderful staff, comfortable accommodation, good pool area
Review 5:We got dropped off late at night at the bottom of a steep hill in pitch black with no one to meet us fortunately we are young and found our way not so good if you are elderly or disabled the hotel needs tobe made aware of this
Review 6:Best view ever in Greece owners and staff are so lovely the pool is very nice and the rooms are very clean the food is also very good we have been to many greek islands this was up there with thebest
Review 7:Very loud snoring from guest next door which could be heard in our room. Sunbeds had no mattresses and were not adjustable. Shower very small and hand held.
Review 8:Views were amazing, food was delicious staff very friendly. Great place to relax and unwind few small changes could improve guests enjoyment even more.
Review 9:Had to ask for remote for air conditioning should just be left in room with instructions on how to use
Review 10:All the staff were fantastic very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent a little more pricey than some restaurants in town put you get what you pay for the seafood pasta is amazing. The Rooms were basic but comfortable. Dassia is a lovely little place beach is unfortunately pebble but you can use hotel facilities along the beach. Tips take a trip on the bus to Corfu town great shopping and kassiopi quaint seaside resort.
Review 11:There is a steep walk up to the hotel from the main tourist area but if you take is slowly its not too bad. The hotel is so nice and the food is good you may not want to go down to the tourist area very often.
Review 12:The food in the hotel is excellent. Staff very welcoming and helpful - customer service very good. Maria especially is lovely with a good sense of humor, they all made our stay one to remember. The location is beautiful with views over the sea, mountains and gardens. Very peaceful and just what we needed. Hotel, rooms, gardens and pool area well maintained and clean. It really is a lovely place
Review 13:A great place to stay, the view to the sea is wonderful. Rooms are clean, the staff was very friendly and you feel that you are staying in best friends house.
Review 14:Absolutely nothing!!!
Review 15:Wonderful place and wonderful people! Staff very friendly and helpful! Maria is fantastic!! Excellent food by the Italian chef! The place is very quite in a beautiful green area, from the restaurant you can enjoy an amazing view of the sea! Don't miss the Greek night!
Review 16:Shower was small and confined, the hill up was a killer, not suitable for oap's or people with back or breathing problems.
Review 17:Everything was fine, staff were helpfull and friendly, pool was fantastic and it was set in a peacefull location.
Review 18:Shower tray is small and the clingy shower curtain makes it even smaller! Water everywhere! There was a mistake with our booking which meant we had to spend our first night in a nearby hotel. I appreciate that mistakes can happen (although if you run a hotel, double booking is almost unforgivable) but we still had to pay for that night. I would have thought that the owner would knock it off the bill as compensation. Not only he didn't offer, but charged us the same rate even though the hotel he sent us to had a lower rate!
Review 19:Very friendly and hardworking staff. The grounds are spacious and maintained immaculately. Restaurant is above average. Excellent views, as it sits on a hill
Review 20:The climb up the hill, but you wouldn't have the view without this.
Review 21:Sakis, Anita, Maria and everyone at the Panorama Hideaway make you feel really welcome. It's more like visiting friends than staying at apartments.
Review 22:Unstable running of hot water throughout the day. Often there was only cold water. Bathroom floor was always wet because of the shower enclosure design.
Review 23:Perfect location, amazing view, good wi-fi signal, cleaning every day, restaurant/bar with excellent cuisine near the pool, very quiet and peaceful (at night you can hear only cicadas and owls), friendly staff. Often we were too lazy to go down to the sea and just sunbathing and relaxing by the pool.=) Definitely will be back here again!
Review 24:Best kept secret of Dassia. We were @PH with 4 friends for a short week. Kind and helpful owners plus staff. Great view and very.very good food for a reasonable price.
Review 25:Small shower room
Review 26:Delightful place to stay. Very friendly . Staff very helpful
Review 27:Far away from the beach.
Review 28:Clean, staff friendly, pool clean, nice view
Review 29:Lots of mosquitos!!
Review 30:The staff were lovely!!
Review 31:Amazing friendly staff and beautiful surroundings!
Review 32:Leaving! Although up a short hill, was not a problem
Review 33:Peaceful location Excellent service Good food Great views Ideal location for visiting other resorts on the blue and green buses My daughter and I were made to feel most welcome
Review 34:just a small gripe, the studio apartment is very small and although spotless, the bathroom could do with a bit of updating
Review 35:the apartments are in a lovely setting with amazing views, the family and staff are lovely very homely and friendly and even the pets looked chilled.
Review 36:Hotel was wonderful, Sakis and Anita are very friendly and helpful. The Studio was well appointed, peaceful and quiet with lovely views. There is good attention to detail eg tub of flowers by studio door, mosquito plug and nice lighting in the grounds. The grounds are beautifully maintained and spacious. The pool is very clean and we often had the pool to ourselves. Food is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is all good quality. Location is excellent as it is a five minute walk downhill to the centre/beach. (10 minute uphill!). Buses depart every 20 to 30 mins to Corfu Town.
Review 37:Be prepared for everyday climbing! This disappointing place on the top of the hill was over-rated previously by booking.com. Without a car, with all your laguage or staff you bought down the hill, it is extremely difficult to reach the place, 0.5 miles from the beach, at very steep hill, every single day! Considering location it should be cheap, but it is very expensive in summer season comparing with other similar studios~appartments. Old furniture, old pipes, black cats moving around, hard matress, very poor breakfast always the same, sheets are changed once weekly only; you should leave the place before 10 a.m. on the day of the departure as new guests arriving...I cannot understand the people who liked this place. Location is especially problematic.
Review 38:Peaceful place
Review 39:Friendly & welcoming staff Excellent Italian/Greek food Fantastic view Well kept pool and gardens Great place to relax and/or explore the rest of the island
Review 40:Dassia is not in the same league as our resorts we visit in Majorca Pollenca and Soller but they are becoming too expensive. Also the steepness of the hill you have to climb from the resort to the Panorama would not suit the elderly or any infirmity.
Review 41:The hospitality was second to none. Right from the start you are made welcome. It is easy to see how people keep returning to Panorama. I will certainly return at some point.
Review 42:The hotel is up the hill around 200 mtrs walk from main road in Dassia.THis is great to get away from the real touristy part of Corfu. You caneasily get to it when you want it, but are able to relax around thereally great pool and amazing views. The rooms are really comfortable, not the latest in modern design, but great villa style with your ownverandah. The breakfast is typical of Europe and we loved it, plenty toeat. The restaurant serves really good food, and we ate there everynight. We stayed 7 nights and loved it, sorry to leave it.There are busesinto Corfu on the main road.
Review 43:has nothing to the with the panorama hideaway but the beach in Dassia was not my favourite one. However, if you rent a car than you can easily access fine beaches in the South-west and North-west of the island. Otherwise everything was perfect.
Review 44:Delicious food ( and I was travelling with a demanding Frenchman so that means something :-)), beautiful views and a secluded, quiet location far from noisy tourists. not to forget the impeccable service by the owners and the relaxing swimming pool.
Review 45:Arrived at the hotel and there were insects crawling around the floor, very basic facilities, no gas for little cooker and when asked the owner said he had run out and would bring some the following day he did not. Food available on site was expensive. Not enough chairs for us to eat no dinning table as shown on the picture for the four of us to eat at.
Review 46:The cleaning lady was lovely and always checked to see if we were ok and if we needed anything.
Review 47:We spent 2 weeks at Panorama in early July and we would stronglyrecommend it to anyone visiting Corfu. The apartments are set in abeautiful garden with a swimming pool, amidst stunning countryside witha truly panoramic view of the strait. The location is great - about 10minutes drive from downtown Kerkira, and a short walk from the beach, although if you like bigger or sandy beaches you need to drive to theWest and Southwest of the island. The owners, Sakis and Anita, areamazingly nice people, with great attention to detail, and made us feelat home right from the start. Although they're constantly runningaround and keeping the place humming, they always found the time tostop and chat with everybody, exchange family stories, give our kidfree ice-cream, and recommend the best non-touristy beaches andvillages to visit. The restaurant is unpretentious but everything isfresh and carefully prepared (like true Greek food should be). Makesure to ask what's the fresh fish today - they'll take you tothe kitchen and show you a bucket of fish, mussels or oysters caughtthe same morning.
Review 48:Nothing.
Review 49:The owners were phenomenal. We felt like a part of the place within days of arriving. The view was gorgeous- I got up for the sunrise one morning & it was the prettiest I've ever seen. There was live music two of the nights we were there and the margaritas are phenomenal.
Review 50:Nothing!
Review 51:1:excellent food,2:beautifull vieuws,3:staff is so generous and friendly,4:quiet and peacefull location,5:very clean swimmingpool,6:nice clean rooms,7:every day fresh towels and extra big blue towels for the swimmingpool,8:fresh breakfast,9:good location for trips(busses nearby),10:hospitality:100%,It's the second time we went and it immediately feels like home!Thank you Sarah and Sakis
Review 52:Panoramic view over Bay of Korfu to Albania and main city Kerkyra. Nice walks in the forests behind the hotel, the short walking distance to the beach if you did not prefer to use the pool. The nice garden area. Good bar and restaurant, frequent bus connections to Kerkyra. The atmosphere was nice in this family operated hotel.
Review 53:nothing
Review 54:Excellent staff, excellent position and views. Rooms contain everything needed for self catering. The pool and gardens are magnificent and the views lovely over the sea.
Review 55:Friendly and helpful owner, daughter and staff. The sea view from our studio apartment. Plentiful breakfast buffet inside the restaurant or outside on the terrace. The relaxed atmosphere.
Review 56:The advertised price was 36€ a day with view from room. Total 4 daysrequested.1. At arrival they said our card didn't work so the owner used it as an excuse to later change the price! at 40€. He gave us a pre written false receipt which was for 36€ a night (15€ difference was not a reason for us to make a big fuss so we just left without saying thank you). When I used my card and checked its balance it was totally fine. 2. No view from room they gave us, there was a building in front of it. 3. No hot water so we each took 1 minute freezing shower each time 4. They don't have remote controls of the air condition in in the room you have to ask for it 5. The room was very small
Review 57:View was decent but only from the pool area or from a very few rooms.
Review 58:some fruit for breakfast would be a nice addition
Review 59:amazing view, very friendly atmosphere, very helpful
