Reviews for Hotel Massimino

Review 1:The staff will warn you, and I mean warn you ( as if you're in the army ). This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel.

Review 2:Don't come back late, otherwise you'll get locked out. All doors are locked by 11. I thought only happens in B&B only.

Review 3:Spacious suite for working and relaxing. Ultra clean with very responsive staff. Great breakfasts included and wonderful restaurant for dinner. Close to Rome.

Review 4:Though it was a bit far out from the lovely picturesque lakeside village with all the restaurants with views. No problem getting there as had a vehicle.

Review 5:Very friendly owners, very spacious comfortable apartment very good value for money. Would be excellent base for business travelers due to the location more industrial. The restaurant appeared to be busy however didn't try the food as went to the lakeside village of Anguillara Sabizia but overall very nice stay with drinks had in the restaurant bar on our return from dinner.

Review 6:Can't honestly say there was anything we didn't like

Review 7:Everything about this Hotel is value for money although a small distance from central Rome we had no problem travelling by train which is five minutes walk. The town of Anguillare was also a wonderful change from the crowds. The staff couldn't do enough for us.

Review 8:Staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the Hotel was very clean. Excellent wi fi reception, altogether a very nice experience.

Review 9:We stayed in a suit which was a very large room, the room its self had a king size bed - tv with sky channels and was very clean. The hotel staff where very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent and at a good price. Thanks for a great holiday.

Review 10:There is a stove and hob but there isn't cutlery at all and no pan and pot

Review 11:The apartment was very clean and very spacious The breakfast was wonderful the owner was very welcoming 2 large bathrooms Garage Elevator directly into the room

Review 12:No negatives.

Review 13:Made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Octavia and Matteo were very attentive. -Location very close to train and bus. Only a short distance to the lake and train straight to St Pietro station in Rome. If I ever come back to the area would definitely stay there.

Review 14:My mate and I finished a busy 15 night tour in Rome, than headed to anguillara to relax, everything was clean and the service was outstanding would recommend

Review 15:I wish we had rented a car so we could have explored more in the area. It was helpful that hotel is within walking distance of the train station and across the street from the bus stop. Ottavia drove us to the lake the first day and showed us where to catch the bus back.

Review 16:I loved the friendliness of the staff and the large rooms. Ottavio was so helpful and welcoming. The room was the largest I've ever had in Italy. I loved having a kitchenette.

Review 17:As it's near the station it's perfect for a train ride to visit Rome, unless there's an unexpected strike. However, it's 2 km away from Anguillara, a quaint village by the lake, which deserves a visit. Members of the staff were pleasant and ready to help.

Review 18:Ease of access to ENEA Casaccia by car. Nice village of Anguillara nearby. Quiet, free WIFI.

Review 19:Nothing

Review 20:Location great - only 100 meters to railway station, but in nice rural area.

Review 21:Octavio and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel was very clean and our suite was spacious and beautiful!

Review 22:Good value for hotel which offers everything you need but a little distance away from lake so you might need a car.

Review 23:Super hospitality, we were made to feel like part of the family.

Review 24:None

Review 25:The staff is very friendly and kind.

Review 26:Location away from the lake , on a main road

Review 27:Excellent rooms, spotlessly clean Helpful proprietor Excellent hotel restaurant

Review 28:Nice people, huge, clean rooms.

Review 29:Staff were fantastic

Review 30:The location to the village, too far too walk and driving and parking was a hassle.

Review 31:Excellent staff, easy quick check in and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The bedroom has blackout blinds and curtains and is soundproof with extremely comfortable beds so sleeping was fantastic, the best two nights sleep we got in Italy. It is located about 12 minutes by car to the center of town by the lake. You can either bus it there (station is right in front) or you can ask the manager to drive you into town (we drove). There is not much of anything around the hotel for tourists but we did see a few local pizza places and a bar but it closed by 8:00PM.

Review 32:Such friendly people working there! Room was clean, meals were excellent. Very helpful with advice on how to get to Rome by train. Most relaxing portion of our trip! We had only planned to stay one night, but stayed an extra night because it was so comfortable and friendly.

Review 33:we have just spent 6 nights there and very much enjoyed our stay. made very welcome by ottavio and staff all very friendly attentive and helpful. rooms spacious clean and airy. had meal in restaurant first night and was so good we ended up having our meals there every evening, delicious food and great service looked after by luka who helped us make great choices from menu very friendly. thanks to christina who helped with directions to casperia, and saved us a lot of time with clear directions to airport for journey home. we enjoyed our drinks of an evening on the patio. would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone , after 5 days in rome, it was a lovely way to relax and enjoy the countryside and lake bracciano. Big thanks to Ottavio and all his staff for warm welcome and fantastic service. love to go again sometime.

Review 34:The hotel was great!! All staff members were helpful and very friendly. The family which owns the business was also wonderful. I was very suprised at the quality of food and cleanliness of the facility overall.

Review 35:Nothing! No bad points to report!

Review 36:The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Although not all staff spoke English, they made every effort to make our stay extremely comfortable. The rooms were clean and sizeable and the restaurant served excellent food. The location of the hotel was great for us visiting friends and getting the train into Rome!

Review 37:Nothing close by to walk to apart a busy street. But with a car this was no issue

Review 38:Size of room, separate kitchen. Quiet. Good breakfast. Staff helpful.

Review 39:Friendly and helpful (family) staff, always available and nothing too much trouble. Excellent restaurant. Near train station, about half an hour from Rome. Would definitely stay again.

Review 40:I absolutely love this hotel. I've stayed in dozens of hotels in Italy and after staying here one night last week, this is my absolute favorite.Ideally located for exploring new York. Hotel is modern but with lots of vintage style and character. Ideal for romantic weekend break.

Review 41:Great access to train station. Approximately 35 minutes into the centre of Rome. Very friendly and accommodating staff who were keen to help at any given moment. There is also a bus service that gives you easy access to Anguillara.

Review 42:The hotel was about 3 km from the lake shore with beautiful old town. Without car it was not easy to move around (didn't try the bus though).

Review 43:The staff waa great, very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed good service, excellent food and staff even offered to drop off and pick up to/from my work location. The room was spacious and had working wireless internet. All in all, a personal and nice experience with good food.

Review 44:Distance from Rome on the train and the frequency of trains back to Anguillara in the evenings. We were disappointed that the hotel is quite some distance from the lake and the town is unremarkable.

Review 45:The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room more like a small apartment than a room. Very nicely furnished and extremely comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for two nights of our stay and had very nice meals each night. We were made to feel as if nothing was a problem and although the train trip into Rome is a little further than was ideal that is certainly no reflection on the hotel.

Review 46:The staff were friendly and helpful - over and above what we expected. The location is very good for exploring Rome - half an hour train ride to the centre. As you are staying outside the centre food and drink is much cheaper. The hotel restaurant offers a high standard of cuisine.

Review 47:Some sofas in the apartment would have been a comfortable addition.

Review 48:The hotel was easy to find - and had good, secure parking for our car, as our intention was to park it and take the train into Rome each day, as we had deduced on booking this accommodation, that the station was a short walk from the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how new and modern it was, as well as extremely clean - but, above all at how very professional, friendly and welcoming the lovely family who run it are. Davide, Gianlucca, Ottavio and Enrico were so kind and welcoming. They really contributed to making our stay in their beautiful family run hotel a wonderful experience. We met some of the extended family and it was especially nice to be introduced to the elegant grandparents. Their invaluable kind advice on how best to experience Rome was so appreciated and will always be rememberd. We also enjoyed a relaxing morning, as guests, touring on Lago Braciano, on the Spezzia II. It was almost sad to leave these lovely people. We wish you every happiness in your future everyone - especially Davide and his Margaret... Finally, but not least, the meals, aperitivos, digestivos and wines/beers, at the hotel, were amongst the best we've enjoyed in our travels.

Review 49:Found the beds too firm for my liking.

Review 50:Very friendly and well run. Rooms well above standard expected andcompare favourably with some 4 and 5 star hotels I stay in regularly. The staff are very attentive and helpful but not ott like some prestigehotels. Everthing is relaxed and casual which makes for an enjoyablestay. The location at first impression is remote but a bus stops outsideand takes you to Anguillara Sabazia old town in 10 mins for 1 euro. Thetrain station is a 2 minute stroll and a daily travel ticket can bepurchased in the tobacconist opposite the hotel for 8 euros. This allowsyou to travel into Rome by train(40-50 mins), use the metro or buswhilst there and return, an absolute bargain which we used 3 days out of5 and each time the trains ran exactly on time!!! You can also get thetrain to Bracciano for about 3 euro return which has the castle whereTom Cruise was married and a selction of bars and restaurants. A greatplace to stay.

Review 51:Lovely family run hotel, the owners/ staff could not have been any more attentive.Very comfortable ,spotless, great bathroom, good food, lovely wine. Really went the extra mile-we were there for a wedding and David, the son, drove six of us to the venue amazing!

Review 52:Breakfast could be more elaborate, but excellent coffee!

Review 53:We had a suite for four persons; kitchenette in main bedroom, separate bedroom, spacey bathroom. Three airco units and a refrigirator. Elevator. Modern and clean rooms, Large TV in every room. Good restaurant. Only 200 m walk to train station (and 45 min to Rome), 2 km to lake Bracciano. Most friendly "owner".

Review 54:Hotel location is not good if you want to be close to the lake.

Review 55:The family were very friendly and serviceoriented. Very smiling employees. Very good food in the restaurant. We chose this hotel because of the location close to the train station. That's why we gave the hotel good for location. We can recommend the hotel if you want to go to Rome by train.

Review 56:We had a problem trying to hire a car. You need a car to visit all the near by places.

Review 57:The location was good just few minutes walk from the station.

Review 58:Good sized rooms with excellent facilities, nice food with good menu choices, very friendly and helpful staff

Review 59:Excellent hosts; clean and comfortable place to stay; good location; good food.

Review 60:location, size of rooms enormous, modern facility, air conditioning works, staff are great and the food is superb.

Review 61:the staff were very friendly and helpful. very handy to Anguillara station.

Review 62:Nothing to do in Anguillara itself.

Review 63:Wonderful staff, wonderful restaurant. Close to train station to Rome. Many thanks to all personal of the hotel.

Review 64:As somebody wrote: you feel like part of a family.

Review 65:There is no proper bar facility

Review 66:Friendliness of staff

Review 67:A little way from lake, but if you are moving around then fine.

Review 68:Very clean, good facilities, friendly staff.
