Reviews for Corfu Chandris Hotel and Villas

Review 1:nothing to report

Review 2:I was the organizer of the scientific meeting using the hotel at the end of the season. The meeting counts around 100 participants and I did not hear no one complain about the hotel. Extremely helpful and excellent customer service. The rooms are equipped with smart approach and made impression of large space. The territory of the hotel is very spacious, very green (a lot of olive trees), and well-groomed. Big private beach with nice lightening in the evening is wonderful. The staff of SPA offers super quality treatment for the reasonable price! Nice restaurant with lot of vegetables, fruit, fish, nice cuisine. Definitely recommend this hotel for the vacation and business meeting.

Review 3:Arriving late at night to find the accommodation we had booked was not available. Whilst alternative agreed,it took 2 days of a 7 day holiday and there were issues (faulty ac and fridge). We noticed others had similar booking problems so if you must (hobson's choice?) go, book through a tour company, not direct. Ridiculously expensive food and drink. The shops across the road are there to stock up - use them. The hotel was tired and in bad need of renovation and modernising. Staff generally seemed demoralised and whilst some seemed to genuinely want to help it seemed their hands were tied.

Review 4:Gardens were lovely.

Review 5:Bungalows need a refurb, air con leaked, taps were loose, grubby tilling and grout, door lock issues etc ......

Review 6:Nice pool area and beach bar / grill. Some of the staff were excellent.

Review 7:Bungalow was horrible and obviosuly hadn't been cleaned for months. Dead bugs and dust and hairs and stains and chipped furniture. Got some clothes cleaned and they STANK of cigarette smoke. The staff challenge you as if you are lying or eating when you haven't paid for the board. Unmodern and unfriendly and not for young people.

Review 8:wifi is not free. beds at beach not free. so much noise in the rooms under the restaurant. moisture scent in the rooms.

Review 9:staff was very kind. the location was good.

Review 10:Bar swimming pool that was open to all from the public (not private) beach. Bedrooms need updating. Bar prices excessive.

Review 11:Food was excellent, plentiful and extensive buffet choice. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 12:Location is definitely the best on the island. The territory of the hotel is very spacious, very green (a lot of olive trees), and well-groomed. Big private beach. Nice restaurant with lot of vegetables, fruit, fish, nice cuisine. Near hotel there is a bus stop, it's very convenient to travel. In the evenings souns leave music. Definitely recommend this hotel for respectable rest.

Review 13:We stayed in a bungalow. It was clean, but old, the wall of the bedroom was moulded and there were ants in the bathroom.

Review 14:The location

Review 15:Our booked room not available

Review 16:Friendly staff

Review 17:Excellent customer service, very clean facilities. Close onto a private beach.

Review 18:Liked the bungalow but thought it needed upgraded

Review 19:Location good staff very friendly grounds very well kept enjoyed the Greek night

Review 20:Paying for beds on beach.

Review 21:Close to beach. Good public transport

Review 22:no variety for breakfast food, for one day selection is not bad, but each day - all the same

Review 23:Nice location; comfortable rooms, all with sea view; friendly and helpful reception staff; amazing sea with perfect water and long beach

Review 24:Beach is peble. No sand. Chezlongue and umbrellas are not free on the beach. Average age in the hotel is 60-70. Noisy until 12 at night because of parties at the hotel beach bar. Breakfast is reasonable but same selection every day. Wireless internet expensive but all mobile communications are a bad joke in Corfu.

Review 25:Large space, nice garden, private beach, Deluxe bungalows and villas are ok and spacious. Close to the Kerkira city - 14 km - with good bus connection. Breakfast is ok. Chandris people very nice and ready to help. Room was cleaned every day. I think the hotel has a decent value for money. Hotel restaurants on the beach and inside with good food at decent price.

Review 26:- bad location - tiny old style bathroom - double room means two twin beds stuck one to each other - none of the pictures actually reflected the reality except the view, wich is the sea.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR COUPLES THAT WANT TO ENJOY THE HOLIDAY IN CORFU

Review 27:worst hotel I ever stayed at on a holiday

Review 28:Sea water not so clear, also staff should be more careful with the cleaniness of the bathroom.

Review 29:Location, close to the beach, large pools, nice breakfast and dinner, renovated room.

Review 30:We've came in the late afternoon, and got the information that wecan get into the bungalow only tomorrow, due to "technicalproblems", and that we will get some room in the hotel. Even aftercontacting Booking, and their call back to the hotel, nothing haschanged, we only got a free lunch for tomorrow, and had to accept theroom (which was ok, btw, and we had a help of the stuff for theluggage). Entrance into the bungalow was set from 12h next day. When wegot to the reception at 12h, we got the key, with the words thateverything is set and we can move in. Unfortunately, that was not thecase, bungalow hasn't been cleaned at all, and we had to wait until4pm to get in. And this accommodation was a separate story. I think ithasn't been renovated since it was built. Bathroom is very, veryold, and if you are a fan of ants, and like to watch the building theirempire, you're on the right place. You can find them everywhere, bathroom especially, but also in the other parts, sometimes in beds aswell. Btw, our bungalow was closest to the street, and it was quitenoisy until 1pm. Furthermore, it's impossible to sleep without thea/c turned on, since it's too hot during the night, and you canleave the doors open overnight, since lot of cats are wondering around. In general, bungalow accommodation is awful! In the description, hotelis mentioning the free parking in front. It is free, but not more than15 to 20 parking places, out of which at least 5 (if not more) arealways booked by hotel employees, so you have to park down on thestreet. Although the hotel is some kind of resorts, and it's not soeasy to get in if you're not a guest, they are charging you for thesunbeds and umbrellas (3 euro per sunbed). Why? We are any case paying abig price to be there, no need for this. Also, not enough umbrellas onthe beach, so you have to go early in the morning and "bookit" for yourself.

Review 31:Food is ok, although sea food is missing on the menu, you can find onlyfish, sometimes. Nice facilities, a lot of grass everywhere (which isvery rear for Greece), beach is not that bad also.

Review 32:Cleanness was below normal. We even had insects in our room. Towels werenot clean. Very poor in terms of entertainment and programs/eventsand night life. Food was not always good and not diverse. Drinks weretoo expensive compared to other parts of Corfu

Review 33:I liked the location, from which you could easily reach different partsof the island, an all directions - South, North, West. I also likedsome people from staff who were nice and friendly. The see view fromthe hotel room was really fantastic. Also the nature and the greenerywere great...

Review 34:We booked two double rooms which were on ground level, they were a little tired and we were disappointed that they were not as good as the pictures in brochures. The drinks were very expensive so we went out in the evenings, sunbeds were in short supply and we would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room.

Review 35:Excellent beach side location, beautiful views all around. Good self service restaurant with large variety of food at breakfast and evening meals.

Review 36:As said by others drinks prices too high - so most people went out to buy drinks. Usual nonsense about people reserving sunbeds. They had a rule saying this wasn't allowed but didn't enforce this so not enough sun beds for those who wanted his

Review 37:nice room with sea view. Close to the beach. Good price for 2 weeks half board and Dassia Bay was a good location

Review 38:Missing out on a few "small things" that would make a difference such astea and coffee facilities either in the room or available during the dayin the lounge area. Drinks were too expensive as was wi-fi.Rooms could do with updating and room cleaning was more of a lick and a promise!

Review 39:The location and the foodAll my family were staying at the same time

Review 40:I paid for a 4 star hotel but this hotel should be rated as a 2 starhotel. All the rooms are very dated. The bathroom must be from the60's!!!. Worn out nickel fittings showing the grass underneath, rustyhinges, dirty silicon seals around the bathtub tiles, etc, etc... Airconditioning was probably dirty and smelly. We ended up not using it.This hotel has not been renovated. They added a nice swimming pool 3-4years ago with nice surrounding gardens and this is what you mainly seeon their web site photos. The rest of the facility is very dated. Pleasemanage your expectations...I Also found out that other people paidnearly half of what I did because they didn't book it online. Parking isnearly impossible. They probably have around 20 car parking slots ansome of them are occupied by the hotel staff!! What you don't see isthat the hotel is located on a busy road so they ask you to park acrossthe street next to the shops. You have to pay for WiFi and for more thanthree days they run out of WiFi prepaid cards. I must admit though thatstaff was very friendly and the service they provided was very good.Overall, if I had paid 1 or 2 star hotel prices I wouldn't havecomplained. But I paid for and I expected a 4 star hotel and thereforemy whole experience was very disappointing.

Review 41:Staff was friendly. The new swimming pool and surrounding gardenwere nice.

Review 42:The time has come to make renovations in the rooms

Review 43:the stuff is very pleasant and friendly, trying to do its best for the guests

Review 45:The rooms are very basic .

Review 46:Good facilities . Very nice pool and beach area .

Review 47:The beach

Review 48:Noise from the ac. Deck chairs on beach for a fee.

Review 49:The way they dealt with complaints: quick, efficient, friendly. Goodfood
