Review 1：The food was substandard. Breakfast wasn't bad but was repetitive. Other meals were poor and expensive for the quality. We ate away from the hotel as much as possible. The pool was average but clean.

Review 2：Our duplex family room was lovely. Lots of space, comfortable beds, beautiful seaview. The staff were friendly and wonderful with our children.

Review 3：Quite a walk to the rather scruffy beach.The management is not up to the standard expected, in particular by Europeans clientele. Lovely, polite and helpful staff, but not properly trained.Quite a number of points need working on.

Review 4：The Suite 901 was really lovely. A home from home. It rained a lot so we were happy to have somewhere to go in doors.

Review 5：Booking.com did not say that the quoted price did not include tax. We were unhappy to received an additional charge at the hotel of £100. On the sea front we were constantly pestered by shop traders and restauranteurs. Kerala is little more than a swamp fronted by a beach and shops. Prepare to be bitten by insects.

Review 6：The hotel , staff and location were excellent. We booked a suite and were assigned a room on the ground floor which had no sea view, the reception staff were quick to reassign us a more suitable room The hotel was located away from the busy sea front.

Review 7：Hotel is tired and poorly designed. Reception area is pokey, there are game boards in public areas. Suggest all games be removed and these areas beautified with plants and good furniture to improve the energy of the hotel. Hotel needs lots of money spent to improve standard and ambience of common areas.

Review 11：Fell down dark, poorly lit stairs next to reception area - next day there was a new light bulb fitted. Frosted glass doors near reception and in rooms had dirty streaks all over them. Cigarette buts and other rubbish on decking round pool not cleaned up for days.

Review 13：The resort asked me to pay for the room rent at the time of check-in itself even before we stayed for a night! It was indeed strange as we have given credit card details to booking.com as a guarantee for our stay. The receptionist stated that they upgraded our room. They took us outside the resort lobby and to another building where there was direct access for any person from the roadside. It felt very unsafe. I later stated that I needed the room that I have booked and did not wish to be upgraded. Except for the restaurant staff, the front office was not very hospitable. Under the Spa menu, they had hair treatments. However we were told that no hair treatment/oil massage was available and Pedicure was classified under hair treatment menu! Very strange!

Review 14：Breakfast was great! Loved the variety of Indian and continental food. Garden side villa was cozy and comfortable. The quiet library space was also good.

Review 15：The hotel wasn't full for most of our stay so on occasion we had the pool to ourselves, however when a big tour party arrived the facilities became a little overwhelmed, especially as both poolside bar was closed & the other restaurant under refurbishment, so other than the main restuarant not a lot else was operational!

Review 16：The staff are fantastic, very friendly & helpful. The proximity to Lighthouse beach was good if you can manage 'cardiac hill', which is short & steep! Actually it's not such a big problem as some people make out & you can take a taxi or tuk-tuk which are cheap enough. Our Arabian Sea room was large & well equiped with a huge balcony. The bed was huge! We were satisfied with our choice of hotel & enjoyed our 6-night stay very much.

Review 19：The reception from office desk guys can be more courteous and can carry smiling faces :). We were told that the hotel provides the ferry service to beach but on reaching there we were denied the same on the pretext of bad road, however vehicles were still plying on the same road (Though beach is at a very short distance but its pretty steep which is a problem for older person). Rest everything was excellent.

Review 20：Excellent location and a good property. Initially I had some hiccups but a big Thanks to Mr Justin who didn't leave any stone unturned to make our stay pleasant. Food was good and specially the view from the room was really awesome.

So, to use the hotel amenities and go to the restaurant you need to get to the street, which I think its a bit inconvenient. Review 56：friendly and helpful staff. good breakfast and clean pool and rooms at the top have a good view. offseason you cant go to the beach directly as the beach will be coverd up by the sea. but onseason you will have direct access. the staff are friendly and sometimes give upgrades when travelling with friends which was very refreshing. the rooms are big and can easily house 6 people. if you go for the double rooms with 2 beds on the top and bottom.

Review 57：Everything, I would be hesitant even to give 3 stars to this property but it is promoted as 5 star property. I felt immediately cheated as a landed there. I have travelled around the world and many places within India but never felt more cheated than this one. If you wish more detailed report ,please write to me. They gave me a corner room although I had booked an Arabian sea facing hotel. You need to be fit in order to be able to climb up and down from room to reception..

Review 118：What's not to like?? Right from Day One, my husband and I were treated better than our expectations. With warm and friendly smiles from all the staff at all times, they were always willing to help us to the best of their abilities and make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were bowled over by the warm and comfortable atmosphere, the clean surroundings, and the beautiful locale. Ideally situated right on Kovalam Beach, we were a stone's throw away from enjoying sunsets on the famous Hawa Beach, with Ashoka Beach and Lighthouse Beach being within walking distance. Even the locals were very friendly, and we had a wonderful experience. With everything from spice and garment shops, a clinic and pharmacy, to budget-friendly and luxury restaurants, within close proximity, we felt like we were right at home. Do pay a visit to their spa for excellent massages among other beauty and relaxation treatments. I would definitely recommend this place to honeymooners and families alike.

Review 121：The spa wasn't worth the money. I had a facial but had to go over the road to a salon where I lay in front of other customers while I had the treatment. It cost as much as a five star hotel however the experience was more like a cheap salon.
