Reviews for Doolin Holiday Homes
Review 1:The Electricity rates were high and as this is extra to the booking cost it will be a consideration before we rebooked another stay.
Review 2:The house was very well equipt.
Review 3:Beds were quite hard. We had a lot of difficulty booking in as booking.com had not let them know we were coming so no rooms ready so they gave us one, it did not have a fridge, then the next one was not clean so we had to wait another 2 1/2 hrs for it to be cleaned for us which was disappointing so that took about 4 hrs to check in
Review 4:The views of Aran Islands from the lounge, quiet
Review 5:Cold. Very draughty windows and doors. Uncomfortable mattresses. No clothes line. Washing machine broke during stay. Landlady not too happy about an 8.20am call about this despite the booklet requesting any concerns to occur between 8am and 8pm.
Review 6:Great location. Great views. Nice houses.
Review 7:Too many rules, we had to take off all the linens which ive never had to do in another holiday hm. The list of rules were very strict made you feel unwelcome. The upstairs shower was not working. The wind hit the house hard and there was a lot of noise wgen it did. We found it very hard to get in touch with the people at "the lodge" for key pick up. I had to pay the whole price before arrival. The price was expensive for what you got. Ive stayed in far better places in fanore for less.
Review 8:Beautiful views from the living room of doolin. Close to the shop at top of the hill.
Review 9:No grill pan in the oven and took us a couple of days to work out the hot water system.
Review 10:Good location and facilities for 3 couples sharing!
Review 11:a bit far from the village quite expensive a litre of milk and a complimentry bottle would be a nice touch
Review 12:spacious
Review 13:The extra charges after the booking fee.
Review 14:Would have liked more cutlery and toilet paper.
Review 15:House was beautiful. Location was brilliant
Review 16:Downstairs en-suite had a big patch of flaking paint above the shower. One of the upstairs en-suite had faulty shower door which fell off and cut my daughter's foot. The other upstairs en-suite was missing a shower door entirely. Floor in living area was badly laid; laminate floor boards moved leaving gaps which could easily trap and pinch the skin on a child's foot. Irons didn't work. We were also asked to strip the beds and gather up the dirty linen, otherwise a charge would result. I feel like sending you an invoice for this as it should be your responsibility. I brought all the above to the attention of the caretaker when we were checking out and was basically told that I should have mentioned it at the start of the holiday. All in all, I really don't feel that we got a good deal, or that our business was appreciated.
Review 17:Rooms were clean and of a decent size.
Review 18:No wifi which all kids need nowadays
Review 19:very spacious house, loads of room. good loacation as it is close to all attractions such as the cliffs of Moher, the Aran islands,Lahince,Lisdoonvarna etc.
Review 20:Large Supervalu supermaket in Ennistimon which is 15 min drive, only one small grocery shop near Doolin. We did one big grocery shop in Ennistimon and bought bread & milk etc locally.
Review 21:Lovely spacious house, well equipped. All bedrooms en-suite. Weather was lovely when we wre there and there was lots to do. We visited Innishere and had a great day on bikes. they can be hired on the island for £9. Cliffs of Moher and Doolin caves are a must see and all close by. We also visited Bunratty Castle & folk park which is a 50 min drive but very worthwhile.
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:Everything
Review 24:no soap or detergent and a minimum of toilet paper only
Review 25:loved the house.
