Aran View Country House

Aran View Country House descritpion
Built in the Georgian period in 1736, Aran View Hotel And Country House stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. Doolin village is just a 10-minute walk away.
Facing Aran View Hotel And Country House there are the beautiful Aran Islands, which are just 7 miles from Doolin. To the north there is the famous Burren landscape of limestone and exotic wild flowers. To the south you can see Doolin Pier and the beginning of the imposing Cliffs of Moher that jut into the wild Atlantic Ocean.
Relax in the lounge bar next to a cozy fire with a Guinness or Irish whiskey. The view of the Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay is wonderful and in the summer evenings the sunset over the Aran Islands is a beautiful sight. The lounges also offer beautiful views of the islands and cliffs.
You can enjoy a buffet breakfast, a cooked Irish breakfast or a lighter option, including scrambled eggs and Burren smoked salmon. Toast and pancakes are served, and you can also enjoy freshly baked scones with tea in the morning and throughout the day. Reservations at local restaurants can be made at the front desk.

Reviews for Aran View Country House
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:The Aran View is a lovely comfortable, warm, hospitable place to stay very near to doolin and the view of the islands from our bedroom was amazing.will definitely be back.
Review 3:The only negative which has nothing to do with the hotel is there is no ATM bank machine in Doolin or Lisdoonvarna but you can get cash back on credit/debit cards when you make a purchase in most of the pubs/shops in Doolin.
Review 4:I Enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Excellent location with scenic views, convenient to the various pubs an restaurants in Doolin and a €10 taxi to Lisdoon. Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast excellent and the staff and owners were friendly and helpful. Plus point also is the pubs in Doolin have live music every night.
Review 5:The view was beautiful, the beds were extremely comfortable, the room was huge and bright. Easy walk back following a fun night in town. Lovely stay overall.
Review 6:But this comment is not specific for thet hotel: unfortunately all over Ireland no german TV available, and the Internet has some ristrictions, so we could not inform us as we would have done
Review 7:we had a great view on the cliffs and the Arans the distance to walk to center of the village was reasonable and passable dinner excellent
Review 8:The bedding was uncomfortable, in need of new beds and pillows.
Review 9:Warm and friendly staff, liked that it was family owned not corporate. View was beautiful and made you want to sit back and relax and take in the stunning view. Nice to have a bar onsite and breakfast was excellent.
Review 10:Wifi was a bit of a disaster but could have been due to the weather. Would love to have had an option of entertainment In the evening.
Review 11:Staff welcoming and friendly. Room was fabulous & the views were wonderful! Breakfast was a pleasure every morning.. Loved the pancakes...
Review 12:A Wi-Fi signal did not exist in the room at all; also a choice of available TV channels was rather poor.
Review 13:A free car park just in front of the hotel was great; good dinner and breakfast; clean, comfortable room; very friendly and helpful staff
Review 14:Tiny issue with spotty wi-fi at times (but ample access inpublic/shared spaces, which were abundant and comfortable). Biggestcomplaint is that I can't go back again tomorrow!! It was wonderful,no hesitation to give the highest possible recommendation.
Review 15:The Aran View is a piece of paradise on the West Coast of Ireland --sublime view, wonderful staff, above and beyond helpful to all of us,can't recommend the place, the people, the service, the comfortstrongly enough. Wonderful!!
Review 16:Horrible internet service Would have liked more luxurious bedding (I.e. down comforter instead of blanket) Shower is not big enough for anyone over 5'8" in room 229
Review 17:Owners were very personable and WONDERFUL to talk to
Review 18:Lovely, warm and inviting people and atmosphere. So much charm to our room, the dining room and the pub. Amazing view to the cliffs and the Aran islands. Loved our stay.
Review 19:The whole hotel has the feel of an old pub, if you like that sort of thing.
Review 20:Well located for visiting the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, which are amazing.
Review 21:Beautiful view from our window. The room was large and comfortable. Our son was given a single room (which we had asked for) but it was in the back and somewhat dark.
Review 22:The view was amazing, we're still talking about the breakfasts, and the woman who runs the Aran View is incredibly kind and makes you feel like you are cared for and welcome.
Review 23:This hotel was fantastic. It was in the perfect location for our hike of the Cliffs. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious each morning. Just a short walk to "downtown" Doolin to enjoy the pubs and a beautiful view of the Aran islands from our bedroom window. Great stay!
Review 24:We had, unfortunately, very heavy footed people staying above us on the 2nd floor and the ceiling made loud squeaky floorboards sounds.
Review 25:The owners were simply amazing and the service indescribable! We felt so much at home and wanted for nothing. We even felt comfortable enough to let our children (age 6.5 & 8) run around the grounds to play. As for the view, it was simply lovely...Lush, green, rolling hills with sheep in the distance & the Cliffs just 7km away. We simply could not get enough of the morning view and the crisp, fresh air, and the cozy Irish atmosphere.
Review 26:Wonderful furnishings, large room with sofa, beautiful wood furniture. Dining room was elegant with cloth table linens, a delicious meal and great service.
Review 27:Nothing to mention
Review 28:Nice hotel just North of Doolin (friendly village with many of the hotels having craic experiences) which is close to the Cliffs of Moher. Super friendly staff, nice older Hotel with an interesting history and they serve a very nice breakfast as well. Lovely views of the Irish countryside to the Aran Islands - had a stunning sunset one evening.
Review 29:Room was nice but the Hotel sign was between our windows and stayed lit all night. We could not block out the light and had a restless nights sleep. Would be nice if the hotel could turn off the lights at midnight. Check-in lady was not very friendly. Expensive for the quality of service and facilities.
Review 30:Having to leave
Review 31:The owners/staff were very helpful and friedly and arranged our visit to the Aran Islands and boat trip to The Cliffs of Moher Vey clean room with superb views of The Arran Islands

Review 35:Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Full breakfast with several choices - delicious! Beautiful views! Quiet and peaceful setting. Very clean. Great place to see Doolin.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed being there. This was definitely the right choice and whenever we'd come back we'll go thjere again.
Review 40:a bit out of town, so to visit the pubs, it is easiest to go by car - parking is generally available.
Review 41:wonderful view of aran islands from front of hotel. fine breakfast. friendly staff. excellent location for cliffs of mahar (see Pat Sweeney's guided hike from Doolin), the Burren and drives along the coast.

Review 45:There were beautiful views from this b & b. Our room was very spacious and very clean. The breakfast that came with it was great! Just minutes from the action in Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. Staff was very friendly.
Review 46:Not much but the TV channels are a bit restricted and the bar a bit small on space and selection, but small complaints really
Review 47:Exceptionally clean hotel with very comfortable and spacious rooms. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and breakfast was very good
Review 48:I got locked in my room twice - the second time was in the morning and there was no one sitting at the reception to answer the phine and let me out. This is extremely dangerous, and particularly annoying because I was travelling with my elderly mother (different room) and I was unable to help her take a shower. Ultimately she took no shower and she found someone to let me out. The windows in her room didn't open. They didn't give us toast at breakfast unless we asked, and my mom said that the eggs were so salty that they were inedible. (And she's very easygoing.)
Review 49:The room keys were very big and hard to carry around when we went out in the evening. (We were told to take the key rather than leave it at the desk since we expected to be back a little later one evening.) The big wooden block didn't fit in a pocket very well.
Review 50:We loved the nice big rooms and comfy beds. The view was breathtaking!
