Review 1：This is the type of hotel that doesn't have any soap or shampoo in the shower (the soap dispense is attached to the wall above the sink). And when you ask for some soap from the from front desk, they give you the half-used bottle that another (previously frustrated) guest has purchased at the nearby convenience store. Not exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this price. Still, the location is excellent and the city is charming.

Review 3：We stayed at the ground floor, there's no wifi nor air condition! Somy advise, if you book, book upper floors and pay a little extra! Thedinner buffet had typically 3 different options of meals! But they wereall chicken!! So more variety to the buffet would be an importantimprovement! The 18 years old girl at the reception was the only one tospeak proper English, so points for that, but I think her outfit(minishorts and minitop) was not corresponding to the level of thishotel. Especially when all the other staff was dressed like they camefrom a 1920's mansion. The room was ofcourse very beautiful in ahistorical way, but the most impractical! You don't have space tomove and you hit your toes all the time to the too huge furniture. Therefridgerator was not cold so the drinks are warm. And then finally atip for the hotel: it would be good if you'd give a littleinformation package about blaha lujza for the guests. Who was she? Didshe own the whole hotel building or just part of it? Her career? Etc.After all, the hotel is named after her, so I think it would make sensethat you provide this basic history information for the guests. At leastwe would had valued it!

Review 4：The absolute best at this hotel was the waiter who took care of thebuffet and served us every night! We didn't even share a commonlanguage since he didn't speak English and we don't speakgerman. But somehow the communication worked and he made us feel likehonourable guests alltough we are just normal people. Just absulutelyfabulous waiter! He himself rises the standard of this hotel a lot!Another thing we liked was that you actually feel like travelling backin time when staying at this hotel. Breakfast buffet and dinner wasalso great tasting! And then ofcourse points for the location whichwas perfect!

Review 7：A lefoglalt szobában nem működött a wifi, ez nem volt egyértelműen föltüntetve a Booking oldalon. (Kiválasztottuk a free wifi opciót.) Szerencsére sikerült másik szobára cserélni. Miután a recepció bezár, az ingyenes parkoló kapuját is bezárják. Erről nem kaptunk tájékoztatást, este nem tudtunk beállni. (Egyébként a bent parkolók pedig nem tudtak volna elmenni a recepció nyitásáig...)

Review 9：altho we left at 10 am and left the key, we returned at 5pm to find the room uncleaned and housekeeping gone for the day.. they agreed to give us the second night free - good! - but didn't seem terribly bothered about this service lapse. service generally seemed in a bit of a (pre-1989) time warp.

Review 10：very convenient to centre, with parking, which is rare. booked ground floor room which was supposed to be accessible, but there are still some steps - and ground floor rooms do not have air conditioning.

Review 37：Our room was extremely small; the bed (and even the toilet) could not be approached and used conveniently. No room for chairs or anything to place your items. The condition of the furniture, carpet, floor and restaurant reflected that there was no investment made in this hotel for several years. These items would not have bothered us so much, but the lack of cleanliness in bathroom and room was rather disturbing. The memory of actress Blaha Lujza would deserve better. :(

Review 38：It is located at a central location in a very nice street of Balatonfüred. Everything is in a walking distance, and the hotel is in an imposing building.
