Reviews for Böne Vendégház és Borozó
Review 1:Payment only by cash, a little slippery on stairs.
Review 2:Center of the Tokaj, nice personal, clean&warm room, good view from balcony, first drink for free.
Review 3:Very nice place in a good location, room was big and very clean, overall a perfect place for a good relaxing stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Review 4:The owner was very helpful. She even gave us a ride to restaurant as it was about to close! The wine cellar at the place offered some of the best wines we ever had.
Review 5:This is was not an issue for us, but shared balcony can be some problem. Bikes for rent are too small for persons above 180 cm.
Review 6:Excellent location, good spacious and clean room with fridge, Wi-Fi, TV (which we didn't watch), cosy bar and cellar, helpful owners
Review 7:We loved the porch with a great view overlooking the little town. It was a quiet fairy land- we there there a little early for the season so it was very quiet...so quiet you could hear the storks in their nests!
Review 8:The wifi signal was terrible. I couldn't use it inside the room, only on the winecellar.
Review 9:Located on the heart of Tokaj the hotel is very comfortable, cozy and clean. All the staff was very polite and make a effort to make us feel welcome. We had a small problem with the toilet and they hush to fixe it right the way.
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:The receptionist was very nice, the owner, the first femal soccer trainer in Hungary served us a nice, in hungarian flag colours, breakfast, we slept good, quiet little town with phantastic wine and scenery.
Review 12:We had no kitchen facilities (these were offered in the description) and there was confusion over the correct price.
Review 13:Everything was fine, good staff, offered a choice of room, room large and v clean, use of balcony (shared), quiet at night.
Review 14:Very very cosy but big apartment. Silent location The small pub with great vine is right under the apartment. Young man in pub was very kind. We were absolutely satisfied.
Review 15:Everything was more than perfect!
Review 16:This was the very best place from 8 hotels we stayed at during out 12 days road trip! Mati (sorry, if I spell your name wrong) was a perfect host. Everything was so sincere and nice, and warm and beautiful - breakfast, wine tasting, room with a balcony, view above the rofftops of Tokaj... Thank you so muct, Mati!
Review 17:All was o.k.
Review 18:Very nice appartment. Secure parking, good wi-fi, friendly staff.
Review 19:Nice welcome drinks
Review 20:Fabulous location, very close to city center. Perfect for place for wine lovers, as they have a Tokaj wine cellar.
Review 21:Excellent apartment, well equipped, very clean, close to the center, but above all, very nice and helpful owner.
Review 22:We were there in the off-season so a lot of things were closed.
Review 23:The staff there was absolutely great and took care of our every need!
Review 24:Very kind staff. We left early Sunday morning and we were able to get a great breakfast !
Review 25:Some rooms are silent but ours was next to the outdoor seating for the winery. So it was noisy during the day but quiet once they closed.
Review 26:Very friendly hosts. Don't speak much English but we speak Hungarian so no problem for us. Nice garden. Big rooms. Excellent breakfast. Walking distance to the main street.
Review 27:Nothing.
Review 28:I'm afraid that if I describe Böne Vendégház accurately, everyone will stay there and I won't be able to get a booking next time I'm in Tokaj! Excellent and very friendly welcome and service. Our checkin started in my very basic Hungarian, and went on in the member of staff's basic (but very good) English. Later I saw the same person switch instantly into German to talk to some German guests. The entrance is a small courtyard winebar, with a good selection of local wines by the glass, bottle, or to take away. The room, reached up steps through a lovely garden/back yard, was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable, with ensuite toilet and shower/basin room. The view from the balcony, over the roofs of the town, made it a perfect place to sit and drink some wine in the evening. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast (900HUF or 3EUR extra). When it came (at a time we chose), it was enormous, delicious and well-presented. It was very helpful to be able to leave our luggage in a corner after we checked out, until we left Tokaj later in the day, as we were travelling on foot/by train. Finally, we bought various wines to take with us when we left: both the more expensive vintages in bottles, and the cheaper wines in plastic containers. We wanted a particular variety, and though it was one of the cheaper "plastic-bottle" ones, the barman wouldn't sell us the last bottle he had, because he thought it looked a bit wrong and wasn't sure whether it wasn't a bad batch. I think this sums up the feeling of quality service we had while we were there. Highly recommended.
Review 29:Everything was fine.
Review 30:A good sized studio apartment, with a reasonably-priced wine bar attached. Close to the town centre, such as it is, and the one good restaurant. Friendly, English-speaking staff who can also advise on the numerous wines on offer by the glass and bottle.
Review 31:Our room was right next to the bar, which thankfully had no late trade. Checkout lady was grumpy.
Review 32:Clean room in a wine bar. Marty was a friendly host. Well located to explore Tokaj on foot.
Review 33:I had a large room with an outside terrace overlooking the garden and the town of Tokaj. It was quiet and very relaxing. This guest house doesn't offer meals in the evening but they have lots of delicious local wine instead :) You can easlily walk to some nearby restaurants and I had a dinner in a place called Bonchidai Csárda and loved it.
Review 34:Already stayed in the other guesthouse in Tokai, but that one is much more better. Very friendly staff. Clean and spacious room on the ground floor, with an access directly onto the patio, where wine cellar/bar operates in the evenings, and breakfast is served in the morning (btw very tasty). The place is so quiet, that it was not a problem, and remarkably facilitates the consumption. The other rooms seem to require climbing a fairly steep stairs. Close to the square with the nice view onto the church from the best restaurant in town. No problem with parking the car just in front of the guesthouse.
Review 35:Peaceful pleasant accommodation with a wonderful view over roofs of Tokaj. Nice personnel, a clean room large enough, rich delicious breakfasts according to your wish and taste always including vegetables (pepper, tomatoes, cucumbers). Very convenient location near the town centre. We can only recommend it! Perfect.
Review 36:We were overwhelmed by the great generosity shown to us by our hosts, Andras and Judit, who helped and supported us far and beyond reasonable expectations when we struck car problems. It made us realise that travelling is more about the relationships you establish en route, than the quality of the accommodation. How lucky we were that our accommodation was so good as well! Judit and Andras, we hope that we will have the opportunity some time to host you in New Zealand. We will never forget your kindness.
Review 37:Considering that we live in the third millennium when the world is becoming smaller and smaller, thanks to technology and other "facilities", a little bit more English language knowledge coming from the staff of this lovely motel will help to attract more oversees and Europeans customers, and will put the motel on the world map.
Review 38:lovely, location, very nice and well manicured gardens, clean, tidy, quiet, private and cozy place, friendly staff, staying there you feel part of the family
Review 39:None
Review 40:Staff is really good and help in everything, breakfast is great and it's a nice experience staying in this hostel.
Review 41:Fall Tokaj vine
Review 42:Large quiet apartment, huge breakfast, wine shop on place
Review 43:Above all, Judith and Andras are lovely people and great hosts! It's a very welcoming environment, relaxed, and with comfortable rooms.
Review 44:Very nice owners, cleanliness, hospitality, excellent value for money.
