Reviews for Carpe Diem Apartments

Review 1:No bad xperience. Two bedroom apt has steps to each level and one room to each level = 4 levels. The two bedrooms are the first two level(thus not super private) and then the kitchen and, lastly, the top floor is the living room.

Review 2:Charming apartment, very clean and well-stocked/equipped kitchen. Excellent location. Helpful son of owner.

Review 3:Owner only shows pictures of house not studio. We booked studio thinkngit was house. When we explained this to the owner, she told us it wasour fault. Too bad, so sad. Shower leaked Room too small for couple Noamenities whasoever Misrepresented ad

Review 4:The room was very small with no outside view we found it more comfortable to eat outside in the alley way and friendlier!

Review 5:The bed was excellent as was wifi. and in middle of the old town

Review 6:Our ground floor room was too small for a couple. Fortunately we only stayed 2 nights. The bathroom was constantly damp and was dark and airless.

Review 7:The Location in the old town was great The price was reasonable.

Review 8:A better comunication with the owners would have been much easier for us, keys delivery...

Review 9:The house is super nice, beautiful decoration, just excelent. The location is in the city centre.

Review 10:Photos just show the house and not the studio but it's similarly well decorated and no stairs to deal with!

Review 11:Nice studio apartment in the middle of the old town. Hosts were a pleasure to deal with.

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:Location in old town convenient and quiet. Nicely decorated room with good facilities. Owners met us at the ferry and allowed us to keep our bags later on day of departure as we were on a late ferry.

Review 14:It is too small. No closet to hang clothes. No place to put our bags.Large size poeple would bump into each other. The owner lived 20 minutes drive away. We do not know how to call him if anything happens.

Review 15:The pick up from the pier. Otherwise it would be difficult to find the apt.

Review 16:Awesome, Quirky Apartment with lots of little additions you would not expect. Fabulous Knowledgeable Host, whom recommended we try the Belin Restaurant, this is a must as we eat in a lot of top restaurants, the Hospitality & food will excels your expectations. Ideal for touring Korcula Island.

Review 17:Whilst WIFI initially seemed to work fine, on the 2nd day it didn't work at all. It wasn't a big problem so we didn't even contact the owners....

Review 18:Great service as we were met at the ferry terminal & it was a short walk from there to the studio apartment . The studio was in a quiet street - it was small but beautifully kept. On day of departure, as there were no incoming guests, we were allowed access for the day as our ferry was not leaving til 6pm. The hosts were very helpful . We had the opportunity to look at the 2 bed apartment upstairs which is gorgeous & obviously a lot more spacious than a studio - would love to go back & stay there !!

Review 19:Open gaps between door and wall which lets in noise a lot. Poor communication with host not reading important emails from me in regard to payment and check out. Shower leaked and put water all over bathroom floor.

Review 20:Location, decorated nicely, clean.

Review 21:Excellent location, although some work going on outside in street. Well equipped and well furnished, just a toaster and iron/ironing board would top it all off. Great family too... Met us at bus station and allowed us a later check out. Perfect for a couple of days. If you are there longer consider the bigger house... I've had a look around its amazing!!!

Review 22:Very expensive for this time of year Stood up for 20 minutes waiting to check out. Charged (a bit more) than advertised and agreed.

Review 23:Very tasteful, extremely well furnished, great location

Review 24:The apartment is vertical, one room on top of the next in true old world style, so not ideal for those with mobility issues.

Review 25:Beautifully furnished by Marija, every little corner holds a surprise. Perfect for those who prefer the freedom of having a kitchen, though coffee shops and great little restaurants abound. Great welcome and support throughout!

Review 26:We were greeted by our lovely host, Nikola, at the ferry dock. Upon arrival at Carpe Diem we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a beautiful platter of fresh fruit. The home is beautifully decorated by Marija, Nikola's wife. It was a wonderful stay in a historic city.

Review 27:Original stone wall and other features made the room very quaint, cleanliness of the room, facilities - hairdryer, sewing kit, shoe polish, toiletries, kitchen facilities, wifi etc, friendliness of Marija and obvious pride in her apartments, located in the middle of the old town within the fortified walls and 2 steps away from the sea.

Review 28:Wonderful hosts- Nikola and Marjia make you feel extremely welcome and at home. Absolutely loved this quaint room. The owners have an eye for detail, loved the exposed stone and all of the charming decor. Comfortable bed, best sleep of our trip. Wonderful location. Can't say enough about our stay here.

Review 29:No dislikes. We were four travelers in our 60's and the four floor apartment was no problem, but if stairs are a problem for you this may not be appropriate. Top level "living room" not used. Could have more natural light or skylight.

Review 30:Wonderful kitchen, great views, quiet, amazing craftsmanship and superbly decorated. This will always be our "go to" spot in Korcula. The owners could not have been any nicer and more accommodating!

Review 31:We were dreamers looking for an ultimate romantic setting and we found it in Korčula. Our accommodation was perfectly located, decorated with charm and care and maintained with attention and affection.

Review 32:Nothing really but worth noting lots of stairs & layout "open plan"

Review 33:Location in the heart of the old town Very tastefully furnished & equipped with everything you could think of Owner very friendly and helpful

Review 34:Nice studio located in the heart of Korcula old town, probably one of our best stays in Croatia. We spent 3 days in the apartment and really enjoyed it. We were welcomed upon arrival by the owner and felt immediately at home. The rustic studio - which has a great history - is equipped with everything you need (wifi, A/C, etc.). Worth mentioning is the possibility to have breakfast, dinner or a glass of the tasteful homemade wine in the alley, it made our stay very particular! We won't forget this place and its lovely owners! In sum: recommendable to anyone who is looking for a real old-town 'experience'.

Review 35:Lovely landlords (picked us up from the harbour, gave us self-made excellent red wine), appartment is very nice and new, small kitchenette, very good air condition, top location.

Review 36:Nothing! I wish we had stayed longer.

Review 37:Everything! The hosts have literally thought of everything. You will not need a thing. The detail and decour in the apartment are without match. You may not want to leave.

Review 38:We stayed in the studio flat of carpe diem apartments which was perfect for our couple's short staying on the island of Korcula. We were greated off the ferry by out hosts who continued to make us welcome by being attentive but not overbearing. Perfect hosts! The studio had recently been updated from the pictures with touches making the most of the space.

Review 39:My husband and I stayed in the one bedroom suite on the ground floor. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Nikola and his wife, Marija were very friendly and helpful. Nikola had a bottle of homemade wine waiting for us on our arrival. We shared it with our daughter and her boyfriend, while sitting at the table outside the apartment. The memory of the good wine and relaxing atmosphere in beautiful Korcula will stay with us.

Review 40:Can't think of anything!!

Review 41:The owners came and met us off the ferry and walked us to the apartment.Studio was small but so beautiful and everything we needed. Bed verycomfy. Had our own table and chairs outside down a lovely little street.Location was amazing, right in the middle, easy access for allrestaurants, boat trips ect. Juice, nectarines and wine left for us bythe owners and very helpful if we needed anything.

Review 42:Unfortunately we were not able to log on to wifi for some reason.

Review 43:Located on a quiet walk way right in the old town of Korcula. Easy walk to everything. Maria and her husband ( owners) welcomed us like family. And helped us with any questions we had . We stayed in the lower studio which was very clean and functional with a small kitchenette. Maria was nice enough to show us the upper apartment which was truly amazing and will recommend if it is available .

Review 44:Warm welcome at the harbour and a bottle of wine - what's to dislike!! Small studio apartment on the ground floor in a small street. We loved sitting outside having a glass of wine watching the world go by with a view of the sea at the bottom of the street. Very central location, close to restaurants, but nice & quiet.

Review 45:Marija the host was very friendly and welcoming

Review 46:Excellent hosts, excellent location. The room had everything we needed.

Review 47:Excellent location Great decor

Review 48:Nothing - all great!

Review 59:Everything

Review 60:The wifi was not working properly Limited ventilation

Review 61:Good location

Review 62:The shower leaked, but hopefully that will have been sorted out after our visit.

Review 63:This studio is pretty small, so only really suitable for a couple of nights for 2 people. The studio contains everything you need. Well located, and very reasonably priced. Owners were lovely and welcoming.

Review 64:Nothing at all, it was a perfect 4 days vacation for us.

Review 65:It's a very cute apartment on the street level, very clean, comfortable and right inside the wall and close to everything in Korcula. The owners Nikola and Marija are very nice people, welcoming, helpful and trying hard to make our stay perfect. They were very generous and offer us few product from their garden.

Review 66:We loved it all, however there are 4 levels with stairs

Review 67:Everything! A show place, enchanting and thoughtful. Unique place to stay. Extrodinary attention to detail

Review 68:sadly there was no TV.. As a solo traveler when the weather was too cold and wet to sit out in the evening, lack of a tv was a bit of a downer. good thing I took some work with me.

Review 69:lovely little studio right in the old city. friendly and helpful owners who came to meet me from the ferry on arrival. the weather was cold and wet but the heating was good and the owners had supplied lovely fleecy blankets and very fluffy warn dressing gown to keep out the chill.

Review 70:As a solo traveler, this place was perfect and had everything I needed. Nikola, the owner, was very kind and hospitable. The location couldn't be better and the studio had a great design with the exposed stone and other little touches to make it charming. Highly recommended....hvala!!

Review 71:the apartment is arranged on 4 floors, not unusual in Korcula. the first bedroom is on floor one. the second bedroom is on floor two and requires that you go through the bedroom on the first floor to get to the second floor bedroom. you have to go through both bedrooms to get to the kitchen on the third floor then up another flight of stairs to reach the living room on the fourth floor. not suitable for people with trouble climbing many steps

Review 72:the apartment is well decorated and well supplied with all necessities. It is located in the walled town and close to restaurants and shops. It has a beautiful view from the kitchen. Would recommend for young couples in good health.

Review 73:Beautiful rustic designed house, spread over 4 floors and in the heart of the old town.Very comfortable, pleasant and enjoying ambiance. Nikola is very kind and hospitable, we were welcomed with the bottle of domestic homemade wine. We recommend it to the couples on the honeymoon. I am sure we will come back.

Review 74:I have booked this acomodation because the prices where acceptable and the property is situated in the hearth of the old city, 2 min walk from Marko Polo birth house. I was just passing trough Korcula and I am very sorry I didn't have the chance to stay in this place longer. It's is a great place for longer relaxing stays, honeymoom vacation and relaxing. The apartment is actually an old stone town house rustical decorated, cosy and welcoming. It's is much more nice live than on pictures. The owners are very carrying and making sure you have everything you need. They welcome guests with home made products (figs honey, rakija...). For longer stays they help you arrange daily activities. Love it! Will be back for summer vacation.

Review 75:The house is beautiful and in a great location, right in the old town. The house has everything you need and some lovely extras like a bottle of local wine. The owners are super friendly.

Review 76:Nothing!

Review 77:Attention to detail in the decoration, Marija's welcome, she left fresh petals on our bed as she knew we were on our honeymoon, the apartment was a very clever use of space, spread over 4 floors

Review 78:Cute little alcove apartment in Korcula walls - lovely host who met us at the port on arrival and let us check out late on departure so we could store our bags. Perfect location to explore Korcula, clean and comfortable and great value.

Review 79:Be aware this is a typical Korcula property that is on 4 floors and stone staircases, & is for those who can manage these - bedrooms are open plan on 2 floors

Review 80:Carpe Diem was a beautiful authentic house with all original features and comforts in the heart of Korcula old town - the owners were fantastic - met us from the Dubrovnik bus and thought of everything for our stay including local wine, fruit and milk in the fridge on arrival. They were very kind and hospitable and I would thoroughly recommend this property - it is beautiful.
