Reviews for Hotel Finikounda
Review 1:Didn't reaaly affect us, but the complete absence of staff who could have perhaps given us information about the area etc. I was concerned that we were never asked to check in. There was nothing to tell us about the cafe that was used for breakfast, we found it by accident.
Review 2:Great location. Cleaned daily. Rooms basic but adequate. The cafe for breakfast was very pleasant (we just used it for coffee to wake up with) The staff there were very friendly and helpful
Review 3:No good view from balcony. Not much atmosphere. No garden, although roof terrace available if not very pretty.
Review 4:Central location. Room cleaned daily.
Review 5:My husband is disabled,we had a hire car,and the owner made no attempt to let us park outside,my husband struggled for 9 days walking from a nearby car park where we had to park, she was putting cones outside the hotel for one of the staff who was 100% healthy,it was very distressing for husband,it wasn't until one of our Greek friends had a word with them that we were able to park outside, this hotel is not at all suitable for disabled people,
Review 6:Good location,
Review 7:The only problem was being woken by the Church bells the first morning - the Church is right next door - but you can't really complain about that. I couldn't get the tv to work but I didn't really want to. The air con from next room was noisy at times.
Review 8:The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, the bed firm and comfortable. The shower was fine - hot water and good water pressure. The hotel was easy to find, in the main square, and 100 yards from the beach and seafront bars and tavernas. There's a fridge in the room to keep water and wine cold, a supermarket a few yards away to buy yoghurt and honey for breakfast. I didn't want for anything.
Review 9:When we arrived the staff was talking and let us stay in the hottest sun for 5 minutes, the room without any decor was very small, in the bathroom broken parts of tubes and some clothes from the last guest. The matrasses very hard it was difficult to sleep on. In the morning very loud bells... The breakfast is in a nearbay cafe on the beach, if you want a second cup of coffee you have to pay for. Only some bread, one croissant, orange juice and packed marmelades. Finally we had to ask for a bill for the cash money ... We cannot recommendn this hotel.
Review 10:almost nothing, the location near to the beach is good ... Poiitive is the Location of the breakfast cafe ...
Review 11:Generally agreed with previous opinions- good value/money and perfect location at the center of Finikounda. Of course -the hotel does need some technical attention, but probably its imperfections make this great value for money. So, ironically, hope it stays that way, LOL :) If you're not really demanding for hotel amenities and don't like overspending, this one should be a perfect match for you!
Review 12:Room not serviced for the last2 days
Review 13:Location and breakfast

Review 16:beds were bad. very simple rooms. couldnt speak english
Review 17:was close by
Review 18:Nothing to dislike.
Review 19:Easy parking, close to the beach and restaurants.Basic but very clean with free air conditioning.
Review 20:basic things.very old hotel.a little bit expensive for the facilities it offers. is good only for few nights and low budget stay
Review 21:good location
Review 22:Staff didnt speak any English. Internet worked only sometimes and in the hall.
Review 23:Location is great. Easy to find.
Review 24:Really basic and to be honest needs a good renovation
Review 25:It was clean
Review 26:Central position in nice Finikunda bay, good beaches, close to Methoni, Koroni, Pilos, Gialova and beautiful Voidokilia beach.Very nice place for breakfast , right on the beach.
Review 27:I wish that the roof top terrace lights would be lit at night so thatmore people could take advantage of it at night when it's beautifuland serene out.
Review 28:The location is terrific since you are only a minute walk from the beachand the restaurants and cafes; it is near a supermarket and thetown's church. It is also quite near Taverna o Antwnhs which is atruly wonderful eatery that is not on the beach front but has awonderful view and offers fresh, local food cooked in a truly authenticGreek rustic fashion using the owner's own meats and vegetables thathe grows. I highly recommend that place when you stay at HotelFinikounda! Since we stayed there during the week of August 15th (theDormition of the Virgin Mary) we heard the entire services and thechurch bells, making the vacation also a religious one. It felt as if wewere part of the village's rituals being near that church and ittruly adds to a traveler's experience to get that local feeling. Thevalue for money is also important to highlight. We payed 40 Euro a nightfor two adults and two small kids. We had two beds for the adults puttogether and a cot for our 3 year old. The baby crib we used was onethat we brought along, but we found that once we rearranged theroom's furniture, everything fit just fine. There was airconditioning in the room and it was easily accessible. There was a smallrefrigerator in the room that was just the right size for holding ourperishable foodstuff. The television worked although the stations werenot clear except for a couple. The staff was genuinely helpful; our roomwas cleaned daily in a wonderfully thorough manner; wifi was available(albeit in the lobby area or on the rooftop terrace area); there was arooftop terrace with a nice little swing to entertain our little ones.We were easily able to pay using credit card; there was a balcony thatoverlooked a small yard where we could sit at night at one of the twochairs and the table on the balcony. Overall, I was quite pleased withhow much I got for 40 Euro a night.
Review 29:The facilities are old and non functional, everything is falling a part. Staff is not trained. No Wifi in the rooms, you must get a chair right to the receptionist to get a signal. Bathroom is so small it wont take a person more than a 80 kg. The church bells were driving me crazy. TV was not working nor any one was interested to do something about it. The list is so long, I must stop here. DO not ever ever ever go there
Review 30:I liked the location only.
Review 31:Compared to many of the other hotels I stayed in in Greece, Finikounda was rather over-priced. The décor was very dingy and in desperate need of a face-lift. The air-conditioner did not work very well, which meant that we couldn't get the room cool enough for sleeping.
Review 32:I liked the breakfast (included in the price), which was (although rather basic) was in a lovely café overlooking the sea. The internet worked well in the communal areas (not in the room).
Review 33:wi-fi is simply not working, signal is there 15 seconds a day from very specific locations.
Review 34:close to the beach, staff was friendly (but poor with English)
Review 35:The price was right for this hotel. Location good.
Review 36:Location
Review 37:Good location, nice room. Good for small budget
Review 38:Hotel looking tired, problems patched rather than repaired
Review 39:Rooms cleaned every day, linen changed daily, staff friendly
