The town is 1,300 feet from the hotel, which sits halfway on a horseshoe-shaped bay whose pristine, undeveloped beaches stretch some 12 miles to the east and west.

Review 1：Initally booked a double with an extra ranch bed for a child, was told I had to book a triple, so I did, turned out to be a double with a ranch bed, only paid more !! Not happy. Rooms are small, no lift and they need a gardener urgently.

Review 3：It's the sum of the individual parts that make The Karystion. The unfailing helpfulness and cheerfulness of the staff. The can do attitude on even small things which make your stay better and wholly unlike 1 review we found Sula on the front desk excellent. When was the last time you saw departing guests kissing the receptionist goodbye because they felt so good about their stay. - Yes I did too! . The quiet beach below and the location away from any noise but a short stroll to the harbour front and its tavernas and bars. Get room 110 and you will have the best of both views.

Review 5：Nicely located in Karystos, with very nice, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is situated close to the see and a green park, quiet but close to lovely beaches and the center of the village.

Review 6：Come twice a year and have always enjoyed. The location,facilities and staff are quaint and gentile.So easy to reach via ferryboat. A couple of blocks to Cabo Doro for delicious traditional meals.

Review 11：The warm and friendly staff. The great breakfast and dinner. The perfect location at the end of the boulevard and next to a very pleasant little beach. It is the perfect place for a couple with young kids.

Review 12：Some people might think the room a bit small, but how much time do you spend in the room when beautiful Karystos is outside, as well the extensive public areas in the hotel?

Review 13：Great location, only 5 minutes walk from the centre, but away from the noise. Lovely small beach just a few steps down from the hotel. Good lounge area, both indoors and out on a balcony overlooking a marvellous view of the sea. Good breakfast was included in the price (a bit overpriced if paid separately). Staff friendly and helpful, without being overbearing or intrusive. I will be back next year.

Review 18：A very good hotel with friendly and efficient stall. It is well placed to to Karistos Town Centre and all it's facilities. Easy access to a fine beach also. I have stayed here on previous occasions and have always enjoyed my stay.

Review 19：I didn't like the mattress, it was too hard and like sleeping on the floor. I had to use towels underneath to make it slightly more comfortable. Other reviews mentioned this and I thought, well I like a firm mattress, this was beyond firm! At the other end of the spectrum the pillows had no support and were far too soft!

Review 22：but... it needs rennovation immediately. there was no elevator, rooms are small and still use a key to lock the room door, television was old not plasma and the smallest i have ever seen. old furniture and very small room and bathroom. one person could hardly fit in bathroom.

Review 49：We traveled back to the karystion hotel after being there 16/17 years ago and we were so happy that the hotel especially the staff was as warm welcoming as ever. Anything we needed they are very attentive. We are defiantly not leaving it so long between our visits.

Review 54：The location is of first choice, the rooms are a little small regarding to the present standards, but the bedding is the best I've ever seen in a hotel or a guesthouse ! We've stayed there for 3 days from oct 17th to 20th, 2013. Breakfast is a real pleasure with such a gentle maid speaking all current foreign languages (but French) , and they serve a super fresh orange juice ! Staff at the lobby speaks a perfect French, this is noticeable, and they give you a maximum of precise touristic tips.The hotel is located at 5 minutes from the harbour, where we have experienced the excellent Cavo d'Oro typical local restaurant (also speaks French)

Review 57：Great location, a short walk from sea front restaurants and bars (and the evening passeggiata) - and next to a small beach. Superb staff, friendly and very helpful (especially reception). Pleasant an peaceful veranda on which breakfast and dinner are served, or for drinks. All this for superb value.

Review 58：A la carte breakfast ( must be specified in clear words at the hotel description, not only restaurant a la carte). every day the included meal was the same, excepting the desert and the type of gems. The morning meal include this: Drink: - coffee (greek, regular) or chocolate or tea - 100 ml orange juice - one slice of ham - one slice of cheese - 2 rolls - 2 small slices of toast - butter - gem (2 choices) - desert rice pudding or yogurt. Surcharge, you can order eggs, cereals etc. but very expensive!!! Another minus for one of the personal guy who sometimes served the breakfast (I didn't remember his name). recommandation: you can smile sometime and be more friendly with ALL guests.
