Reviews for Villa Britanida

Review 1:The aircon was not quite up to the job, but the room was cool and shaded anyway (north-facing).

Review 2:Well-located, family-run guesthouse set back from the main road amongst palm trees less than 5 minutes walk from the ferry dock. Very friendly, welcoming and easy-going owner, superb local food (including fresh fish) and excellent wine. Accommodation is a little dated but clean, quiet and comfortable, and very good value for money - even in high season. My good rating primarily reflects the overall excellent value for money.

Review 3:I had not realised this is a 2 star hotel and it really shows the place is extremely dated something out if the sixty is the way we would describe it and the air con was very poor in our room

Review 4:Great view from balcony of the sea and split at night and matte the owner was a likeable man also the location is good it is about 400 m from the ferry terminal

Review 5:Mate was extremely helpful and even gave me a ride to the ferry terminal. The night before I left he cooked an amazing meal of fresh fish and veggies. Of course I drank his homemade wine to keep me happy. I strongly recommend the Britanida.

Review 6:The coffee was sometimes served in a chipped cup. The toilet brush was not clean.

Review 7:The owner and family were so helpful. He could not have done more to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was excellent every one of the ten mornings.

Review 8:Uncomfortable bed and pillow Basic room facilities , no tea or coffee. Very small shower

Review 9:Friendliness of the owner Very good breakfast Clean room good tv channels close to harbour and bus station across road from small beach.

Review 10:Beautifull place and kind people. Amazing food - all home grown. The owner was really friendly and offered a lot of advice to the places we should go and see on the island. Great ambient that suits the Dalmatian island feeling. We loved the evening meals on the terasse with Croatian music and local vine.

Review 11:Location was good - a few minutes walk from the centre of Supetar and just over the road from a lovely beach (which has a bar/restaurant). Rooms are simple but clean and the owner goes out of his way to make sure your holiday is everything it should be. Breakfast was good especially the coffee! We would definitely stay here again.

Review 12:It would be nice to have a kettle in room, for making the cuppa!

Review 13:Right near to port, so easy walking with no transport. Very welcoming. Loved the evening meals, all freshly cooked and served with a smile. We certainly knew we'd eaten. Very near the beach, which seems to be used by the locals and has it's own bar etc.

Review 14:The location is not as described in the Booking.com hotel information script.

Review 15:The food.

Review 16:Old fashion guest house

Review 17:Staff was really nice and nicely located next to the city.

Review 18:Restaurant at the hotel is excellent!

Review 19:The hotel is a little old.

Review 20:Very near to the port.

Review 21:The hotel is a bit outdated.

Review 22:The owner is very friendly and helpfull.

Review 23:Accommodation aging but okay

Review 24:Near the Town, nice staff, big breakfast until 11

Review 25:the ovner of the hotel was a very Nice andhelpful person

Review 26:Old-fashioned ( "soviet" style), smoking in the lobby and probably in rooms too. Barely no other customers.

Review 27:Clean rooms. Helpful personnel.

Review 28:Great area - close to the sea and easy walking to the town. Breakfast was delicious and the owner very helpful.

Review 29:The room has a great sea view. The breakfast was excellent. The owner was helpful.

Review 30:Beach over the road has good facilities and swimming and there is a good easy coastal walking pathway. Owner does a good breakfast and we enjoyed our stay. Will stay longer next time as this is great value.

Review 31:The rooms are without balcony, but we were offered to dry the towels back in the garden so we have felt like a sort of at home: hanging the laundry in the garden. So problem solved !

Review 32:The location is great, 500 m from the port and the same from the centre of SUPETAR town. And only 100 m from the villa is already a beach with clean water. Our room, facing the sea, was spacious. For the breakfast, we would point out availability of home-grown figs: they were free to pick in the restaurant also during the day. We also sticked every morning to home-made jam. Villa is also a restaurant so for the final evening we order fish plate compiled very nicely by Mr. Mato who is in charge of villa. The dinner was topped by also home made warmed pie-cake with cherries soaked in "travarica". We left ourselves to hospitality of Mr. Mato.

Review 33:My bathroom was literally not touched for the whole week that I was there. Towels were not changed, or the sheets, and housekeeping seemed to consist only of emptying the dustbin once per day. I had to specifically ask for a refill of toilet paper, or i would have had to go out and buy my own. I would not go back under any circumstances.

Review 34:Location is great, close to the port and the ferry from Split. The beach is just a cross the road.

Review 35:Maybe the forniture and the style itself of the structure are a little old-dated, but that could be also a "vintage" touch that doesn't disturbe.

Review 36:Villa Britanida is the classical little hotel run by a lovely family. It's simple and very basic, but has everything. The positiong is strategic, quite and charming, just in front of the sea (and a beach with a great grilled fish restaurant), and close to the port, the autobus station and the center of the town. The owner is a very lovely person, who did everything to make our request satisfied, with smile and warm-heart. That made a difference for us.

Review 37:The host was friendly and helpful. The breakfast (included in the price) was simple but enjoyable and could be taken on a terrace overlooking the sea. The décor was spartan and dated, but this gave it a peculiar charm.

Review 38:We loved the place and the family, who is running it. They really make your every wish true. Gourment kitchen. Excellent situation near the port and with sea view. The villa is surrounded with palm-trees and garden. Quiet situation and still in walking distance for everything. I do not undestand why the villa has got only 2 stars as it is worth of 4 and half stars. Riitta from Helsinki

Review 39:Excellent host of the accommodation.
