Reviews for Saint George Hotel

Review 1:Breakfast can be improved. Bathroom also must be improved with a new toilet, sink etc. When the air conditioning is on into a next room, the noise of it can be heard in the night and this is not a good feeling and this noise can be annoying. Wifi connection in the room very very slow and some times at all.

Review 2:Location is excellent, just near to the beach, big room with grate view. very good dinner. Is the best location from the island. There are a lot good things to say but a single word will include all : Excellent

Review 3:Absolutely nothing !

Review 4:Fabulous Hotel in an amazing location. We got a room upgrade on arrival and had the most spectacular view of the pool area and beach. The room was very comfortable, with excellent Air Con and a Hair Dryer - there was complimentary wine on arrival in the room. Beach Towels were also provided and the Hotel Sunbeds on the beach were free of charge. We ate in the hotel - the food was delicious with a wide range of choices available. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Review 5:Could be a hotel bus shuttle service offered as not driving made it a little more difficult to get around. But there are buses available so you aren't totally isolated.

Review 6:Lovely hotel in excellent condition. Breakfast was of good standard and staff were friendly and helpful. Quite location, so more convenient if you have a car, but not essential. Very relaxing and right on the waters edge. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 7:The beach is exposed to northern winds, hence in windy conditions it is perfect for surfers but not for swimers. The breakfast might be further improved with local products of quality

Review 8:We liked the location, the view, the beach in front of the hotel, something not obvious for most hotels in Paros. We had a spacious and very comfortable room for a family of 4.

Review 9:Shower was old and needed descaling. Ants in the bathroom. Breakfast not very good - yoghurt was inedible. No fresh fruit salad - only tinned (there was whole fresh fruit though). No nuts/dried fruit. Not enough shade around pool - very small umbrellas. Main issue though was with sunbeds. Hotel policy is for customers not to put towels on sunbeds to reserve them, but all customers apart from us did this, and consequently we only managed to find sunbeds once in the entire week, and these were on a muddy slope above the beach, not even on the beach. There were many sunbeds on the beach that were empty from 11am until 3pm, just with hotel towels on them. We mentioned this to staff twice, but were told that the guests just do it and there's nothing they could do about it. Consequently we gave up and went to a different, less beautiful beach 4 days running, where we paid 40 euros per day to reserve 4 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas. That's 160 euros we didn't expect to have to spend. At a 4-star hotel costing 300 euros a night, I would expect to have 2 sunbeds and an umbrella reserved for the room, or to at least be able to reserve them the night before if you show up before a certain time in the morning. I don't expect to (and did not) have to go down to the beach before 7am and fight with other holidaymakers (mainly French) about whose towels were there first. At other similar hotels we have stayed, staff were very good about enforcing the 'no towels to reserve sunbeds' policy, by simply collecting all the towels again when everyone was at breakfast, then again at regular intervals during the day. I strongly advise the Saint George to resolve this matter, as the current status quo is unacceptable and very frustrating for guests who have spent such a large amount of money on the accommodation.

Review 10:Location and view are stunning. Restaurant/bar reasonably priced and food delicious. Room quite basic for the price but clean. Good air conditioning. Staff friendly, especially cleaning staff, who helped me replace bedding when my daughter had nits! I don't remember your name, but thank you!

Review 11:Although the food was EXCELLENT - I would have like a larger variety. Same menu at lunch and dinner. Beds were a little too firm for my liking.

Review 12:Excellent customer service. They couldn't do enough for each and every guest!

Review 13:wifi had some issues while we stayed there. I would have liked some more TV channels, especially for kids

Review 14:exceptinally friendly staff always willing to serve with a big smile

Review 15:Our stay ended too soon!

Review 16:We've loved everything and everyone, beach, hotel & staff. Owners also are lovely people and look after their guests. Thank you Katerina, George, Michalis, Kostas, Anna, Angeliki, Anthi, Georgios, Yannis, the girl looking after our room, for being amazingly welcoming and helpful and kitchen staff for gorgeous home made food! Special thanks to Kostas and Michalis - you guys are perfect and your customer skills undeniable - always with a smart topic and good sense of humour! We hope to see you all next year and until then we'll miss you! Diana & Cătălin 19th-28th July 2015 Room 602

Review 17:The shower is not very well installed in the bathroom so this means you cant shower handsfree but other than that all was great!

Review 18:I liked the location on the new Golden beach in Paros, conveniently just a few meters from the beach - ideal local for wind surfing! I liked the friendliness of the staff, the restaurant veranda blue is amazing view and food!

Review 19:The wifi was a bit spotty in the room, but service was always fine near the pool, near reception, and in the restaurant area.

Review 20:It's easy to sum up the St. George in one word: exceptional! The staff is beyond incredible and they all go out of their way to make your entire stay comfortable and relaxing. The rooms and amenities are wonderful! The breakfast and restaurant provide delicious food, and regular meals are very reasonably priced for the high quality food that you'll eat. The rooms are very simple but very, very comfortable. And if you have a sea view room, the views are simply stunning. I highly recommend St. George to anyone looking to stay on the beautiful, stunning island of Paros.

Review 21:The beach in front of the hotel, though very beautiful, is unusable. It is the windiest spot on the island and the beach is crammed with windsurfers who take up all the space.

Review 22:Very good friendly staff with a professional service. The room had an amazing view and the hotel is very well kept.

Review 23:Some rooms need some upgrade and Wi-Fi needs to be stronger.

Review 24:The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms are clean.

Review 25:The beds are a bit hard but overall did not deter from our stay.

Review 26:My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 3-night stay at the St. George Hotel. The hotel is situated just steps from a beautiful beach and the pool is fantastic. The beach offers lounge chairs with umbrellas and a place where you can rent equipment for water activities. We even tried our hand at windsurfing. All of the staff from the check-in desk to the restaurant were so welcoming and very interested in making sure we had a perfect holiday. We really enjoyed getting to know them all during our short stay! The front desk helped us arrange for a rental car and the manager thoroughly explored the island map with us before we set off giving her recommendations and advice. The hotel is a bit isolated so renting a car for one day is a great way to explore the full island. Kostas was our favorite waiter and was truly a delight. He even researched how to make my husband's "American old-fashioned" cocktail. The food at the restaurant was top-notch and very reasonably priced. We were so sad to leave but hope to return one day! Thank you to all of the staff for an unforgettable stay!

Review 27:Mislead by low rating. This place should be rated in the mid 9s. We would have booked 2 weeks instead of just 1.

Review 28:Excellent location, close to beach, great views, good pool, good staff, strong Internet, ok breakfast ( for Greece ), relaxing atmosphere, very comfortable bed.

Review 29:If you want to wake of to GORGEOUS VIEWS of the sea!! This is it!! Located at the new Golden Beach this place is just perrrrrfect!! The beach is STUNNING!! Hardly any people! Great for swimming!! The hotel is very nice and clean! Lovely staff and breakfast was just AWESOME!! The views from the hotel and pool are stunning!! We loved out stay here!!

Review 30:Everything was perfect with no flaws. A car is a must if you want to travel around.

Review 31:1.The perfect locatin on a beautiful beach. 2.The hospitality and helpful staff, professional, cooperative and attentive. Good recomendations on restaurants without "pushing" their own restaurant which turned out to be one of the best we have eaten in Paros. 3.Spacious rooms and balcony with wonderful sea view 4. Great swimming pool , very clean.

Review 32:-not really a remark, just a point of attention that the hotel is a 20min walk from the closest busstop. So or rent a car, or be prepared to do that distance multiple times if you plan to visit something :-)

Review 33:+modern clean pool, bar and restaurant. +beautiful sand beach just across the road +quiet neighborhood +...

Review 34:I have no dislikes about the hotel. The one fault is the coffee is luke warm at breakfast and maybe the evening menu can focus more on Greek food.

Review 35:A well run hotel situated at a wonderful location. The staff are polite, helpful and professional. The sea view rooms may cost a bit more but well worth paying the extra monry fot the view,

Review 36:Some rooms do not have view and the beds are not very comfortable. Just ask in advance for a room with beach view and you would enjoy your stay even more

Review 37:The service was excellent, with staff and hotel owners being very helpful and polite. The restaurant was very nice both in terms of food and atmosphere, just right next to the beach. The beach was beautiful, very clean, with gold sand. Definitely recommended for a stay

Review 38:Service needs reviewing. Even for an island the restaurant was extremely lax. Food would be left on tables for extended periods of time around the breakfast rush. Would wait for a table to be cleared to be able to sit down. Even when it wasn't full. Coffee was mediocre. They apparently used UHT milk for everything, which is unpleasant. Some of the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. Others seemed to not be bothered. The room is very spacious, but overlooking the rusty A/C units from the building below. Aside from that eyesore, the view is stunning. No transfer from/to ferry is provided and it is across the island. Need to arrange your own taxi or rental car. They could have been more helpful with this. Not enough chairs at the beach on some mornings, as people had started catching on and going before breakfast to put their stuff on chairs. A few more chairs would solve this.

Review 39:Location - quiet, lovely beach, good to get a scooter or car to drive to other places around the island. Room was very clean and big, though the bathroom layout is ridiculous. Great beach for children, as the water was calm and there was sand.

Review 40:The old and small TV sets in the rooms need to be replaced with bigger ones with flat screen. Need for more toilets in the area of the swimming pool, bar, restaurant. Need for more umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach. Arrangements need to be made for the transfer of the clients from and to Parikia and Naousa.

Review 41:The rooms and the bathrooms are very comfortable. The location on a very good beach. The friendly service and gentle manners of the staff. The quality of the food. The design and decoration of the hotel.

Review 42:Dirty edges round the bathtub.

Review 43:Almost private beach, free umbrella's, nice swimming pool, excellent breakfast, beautiful view from terrace during dinner. Surfing and diving school at the beach.

Review 44:Staff was amazing, they always took great care of us

Review 45:amazing place with great service!

Review 46:Location, beach, pool-bar, room with balcony and polite hotel staff

Review 47:Wifi could have been better, but everything else was perfect.

Review 48:Location, great beach, very friendly staff, good quality restaurant, comfortable rooms.

Review 49:Wifi works with bad internet connection.

Review 50:Great location, beautiful beach and excellent food.

Review 51:Loved the friendly atmosphere but to have a glorious view from my bed and the balcony was heaven. Would have liked to stay longer .

Review 52:beautiful beach.

Review 53:Slow service at poolside bar

Review 54:Fantastic rooms with great views over ocean. Great breakfast. Softest towels in Greece!

Review 55:Very bad double bed. Windy beach. Surfers around. Unfriendly staff.

Review 56:Breakfast was good.clean rooms.

Review 57:Shower placement in bathrooms is poor design. Typical in Greece but poor never the less. Need to upgrade all older TV's. Need to just get a bit better on the mixed drinks at the bar.Not too bad, just needs to be a little better. All very minor issues.

Review 58:The personable service of the staff is fantastic!! This is a clean, wonderful little hotel. Great location if you want peace and quiet. Beautiful pool and beach. The staff is what makes this hotel. We felt like they were a part of our family. Our kids are already asking if we can go back! You need a car if you stay at this property, but it's well worth it. Made our stay absolutely wonderful!! Thank you to the staff (Katerina, Thomas, George, Vagelis, Annia, Maria, Chef and the rest.) for making our vacation something to remember.

Review 59:Dinner at the restaurant was OK but not very interesting - the taverna next door was better.

Review 60:Nice location with a windsurfing centre close by. Room had a great view out across the sea.

Review 61:All in all good, tv small If you have a car no problem, as it is relatively far from main villages

Review 62:Beach is good, better than the main chrissi akti Pool is of good size and clean , nice bar Room is spacious, toilets good

Review 63:Prices are expensive. But no more than other places on the island. The whole island is rather pricey. I guess the fact we went in August has a little bearing onthe fact as well.

Review 64:The hotel is excellent. The staff was great, helpful and always smiling. The beach is sandy, the water crystal clear. If you're going to the beach, make sure you stay in front of the hotel, there's umbrellas and chairs that belong to other hotels as well to the north side and you have to pay for those. Pool is clean, big and the food is great, albeit not extremely varied choice-wise. Surfers' paradise - you can watch them fall (or do stunts) all day long. Great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Rent a car It's worth it.

Review 65:The mosquitos at the outdoor restaurant. We had to leave our table due to the bites. Would have been a good idea to arrange some prevention before customers get bitten!

Review 66:It was a great location at one of Paros niciest spots. Staff was very professional and helpfull.

Review 67:I liked everything, location, pool, views and especially the personnel!

Review 68:Staff, location, calme, view, sea, beach

Review 69:The pool temperture

Review 70:The food Size of the rooms Great sercice always with a smile
