Review 1：I have been diving for over 35 years, and a dive instructor for 25 of those years. I found the dive staff to be unfriendly, and burnt out. There was a large group from Taiwan, and as I watched the dive staff, they paid little attention to the guests and preferred to just goof around with each other in the pool. They paid no attention to me and my daughter...maybe it was because we didn't need a guide they ignored us, but it was irritating never the less. The operation was confusing. Every time we wanted to dive, the dive staff said we had to report to the dive shop first. There was usually no one in the dive shop, so we then had to go to the front desk every time we wanted to dive. The front desk would tell us to go to the dive shop completing the circle. Years ago in Tulamben there were guides very familiar with the reefs and knew exactly where to find the unique critters on the reef (I am a photographer). When I asked for such a guide, I was told there was not anyone that knew the reef like that, and I would have to pay 60 USD for one person to dive with my daughter and me. That is ridiculous. Why do BOTH of us have to pay for a guide?? I was also upset that I had to rent a tanks for every dive we did instead of paying a daily rate for the tank, and then pay for a refill. It cost me 9 USD for a tank of air each dive. Why not something like 9 USD to rent the tank for the day, and then maybe something like 2-5 dollars to refill the tank?? Wouldn't that make more sense?? The resort was excellent, but I will not return to this resort because of the dive staff and un-flexible pricing system.

Review 5：Hard bed and dated washrooms. No dive information about the sites/photos of the sites available in the rooms - not crucial but would be expected from a dive resort selling their product. Massages should be done in a private area, not next to the dining room

Review 7：We stayed during our honeymoon in villa and the place is so perfect, if I knew I would stay longer. We stayed in many hotels from 5 to 3 stars (6 places) and Liberty is one of the best, I would rate them as 4 star hotel. Everything is clean, swimming pools & premises perfect, I really have nothing to complain. On arrival they offer free fresh juice which is also just perfect (not full glass of ice, no sugar and wasn't mixed with half water). Staff at reception gave all information while we checked in.

Review 8：You had to re log into the wifi every time you used it, even when your phone went to sleep for a minute or two. They were inflexible, we would have dived again had we been able to check out a few hours later but they wanted more money for that even though they told us no one was coming into our room.

Review 9：There are several different levels of accommodation, standard and deluxe rooms and standard, deluxe, superior and family bungalows. Our deluxe bungalow was lovely. A little verandah out front with chairs and table, another seating area inside and a lovely high ceilinged bedroom, super kingsize bed etc etc The grounds are manicured and perfectly maintained, an oasis in the heat. There are three pools ranging from small to large and comfy loungers with cushions at each. The restaurant serves reasonably priced and delicious Western and Indonesian cuisine and the included breakfast was delicious, the best banana pancakes so far. Our dives were great, nice friendly professional outfit.

Review 10：The chlorine in the top pool was very strong, so we only swam in that pool once then avoided it.

Review 11：Staff friendly and accommodating. Pools warm and clean. Large grassy areas for children to play on. Dive guides knowledgeable and friendly. Anything you wanted they would organise. Water and tea and coffee supplied in the room, power adaptors supplied. Everything was just so easy.

Review 14：This was our favorite place to stay because of the beautiful little individual cottages around a shared courtyard a lovely huge swimming pool, a PADI dive center in the hotel and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Review 17：The hotel had a great location just a minute walk away to dive on the Liberty Wreck. The service, accommodation, food was better than expected. We upgraded our room upon arrival from a Deluxe to the newly built larger room with terrace and large pool. It was worth the money. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the resort was in perfect condition. Spent a long weekend with my 14 year old daughter and family and had some excellent dives on various sites. Made our Dive Guide did a great job and I would always use the resort and Made again when I go back.

Review 18：I had a really bad accident caused by a rotten wood by the pool: it broke and my leg got stuck in the pool machinery. It was very painful, caused a huge bruse and destroyed a few days of my trip. The offered me to take the hospital, but I never got an official apology or any kind of offer/discount.

Review 19：Staff was extra mega friendly and helpful, and spent lots of "quality time"with my 19 months old, playing. The resort is located just by the wreck and is perfect to dive it. The three pools were nice and clean, the food was great.

Review 20：The only thing that needs looking at was the shower in our Family Room No 23. Very hard to not get water all over the bathroom floor. But apart from that everything was great.

Review 21：This dive resort was better than I expected! Had some wonderful dives with very helpful and experienced guides. The resort itself is wonderful to stay at, the food was good, the accommodation very comfortable. We had a fantastic time. Will definitely stay again.

Review 22：Liberty dive resort is situated perfect for the macro diver entusiast. Tulamben is all about diving, but when I'am not a diver I still enjoyed the quiet place very much. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In total it's very good value for mney. We will definetly stay here aain.

Review 23：The resort is quite beautiful. There are three pools. The dining is pretty good, the prices fair. the staff is very eager to please. It is about 75 meters from the diving beach.

Review 24：Breakfast is very simple. We took 2 mangosteen displayed on the bar (no price tag near it) The staff wanted to charge us. That's fine. Luckily both fruits is rotten. So, we return them without getting charged.

Review 25：Deluxe room is spacious with bath. Room 7 on first floor with balcony able to view a bit of sea. Can get wifi in the room. If you are staying at the bungalow won't get wifi. Nicely organized Dive centre and 3 local sites to choose from (Liberty Wreck, Coral Garden and Drop Off). Ideal if you just want to do plenty of diving without too much traveling Versions Best Pizza and burger in Tulamben for lunch or dinner just a few minutes walk away.

Review 26：The wi-fi connection was very slow but I am sure this was the internet service provider and completely outside the control of the hotel. Wi-fi signal strength was excellent. I had the same issue at other properties in that area.

Review 27：Everything. The staff was the most welcoming and helpful I have ever encountered. The facilities were beautiful and sparkling clean. The restaurant was very good and VERY cheap. We booked 2 nights initially and would up staying 6 because it was so nice. If I go back to Bali, I would stay there again.

Review 47：We met our adult children at Liberty for a week of scuba diving and catching up. And we had a fantastic time - best diving we've done in a long time on the Liberty wreck - great vis, oodles of sea life and gardens of corals. Go for made and Rick as dive leaders...lovely chaps. As for meals, they were good, wholesome and reliable, not too exotic but always clean and fresh - we didn't get BB once! The resort itself is tranquil with pools, massages, reliable wifi and a friendly smile at every turn from the staff...what more could you ask for? Great value for money and we'll definitely return for another stay.

Review 48：Massages were only outside on large tables no spa treatments available except massages. This is understandable as most people come to this resort for scuba.

Review 49：We liked the set out of the resort, the gardens, friendly staff, large room and bathroom. Well maintained and appeared to be well organised for snorkelling and scuba apart from this and their two pools not a lot to do on the area.

Review 50：Even without the amazing diving Liberty Dive Resort was a great place to stay for the relaxing ambience, lovely gardens, inviting pristine pools, good food and mostly the amazing staff. I fell in love with my bed and felt comfortable and welcomed. A few great massages helped with relaxing as well! My room was very tidy and a good layout for a diver with heaps of gear with a patio drying rack and outdoor setting. I was in a shady spot with a nice breeze so the temperature was just right. Can't wait to go back.

Review 51：Awesome staff very friendly. Food is good room is good dive instructors teach well. Beer is cold. Was there for 8 days and can't say a bad thing about liberty at all. Meet some awesome people great dive spot will most defiantly be back after the wet season to see my new friends. Also the warung komang bar and restraunt up the road has awesome food and a really good band most nights.

Review 59：For a beginner diver like me it is important that I can communicate well with my dive guide, but one of my guides didn't speak English very well. It led to some misunderstandings, nothing major - but still as a nervous beginner I would've preferred someone with better English skills. The second guide I had (Made) was wonderful!
