Reviews for Premier Inn Woking West - A324
Review 1:I wasnt happy abput the cleanliness of the bathroom. the maid should knock and call housekeeping before entering a room its rude not to! We felt rushed to exit the room every morning for the maid to enter.
Review 2:The location was suitable and next to restaurant. The room was in a quiet annex as we had requested
Review 3:Premier Inn SHOULD NOT garantee a great nights sleep because this is NOT what I got while stopping here. Firstly putting a family room facing the car park next to a busy pub/restaurant is not a good idea. The amount of laughing people and car doors that got slammed was unbelievable. This subsiquently woke my 2 year old son up who was sleeping next to the none modern double glazed window. Great! Secondly, the coldest night of the year and the heating in the room (if we can call it that) was not effective enough. The max temp you could set the room to was 23 Degrees, great if the thermostat was located in a better place or working! But alas... The thermostat clearly thought the room was warmer than it really was. Also, the thermostat resets after a while to 16 degrees! Which, given the fact that it clearly wasn't reading the room temp correctly meant waking up in the middle of the night after losing feeling in my nose and toes to reset the thermostat. Then we move on to the small herd of Elephants that had occupied the room above. So all in all very limited sleep at the Premier Inn Woking over the weekend. More suitable for couples/singles but NOT families.
Review 4:Great location short walk from town centre. Bridge Barn had good service, food and excellent staff.
Review 5:There was something that intermittently clicked in the room, perhaps the heating control. Just irritating when trying to get to sleep
Review 6:Quiet location, but quite close to centre of town. Suited our requirements. Breakfast options good.
Review 7:In the first room I was given the heating system kept me up all night making knocking noises every time it turned on and off. It also had a general cold and unpleasant feel to it. Probably due to all the bluefish tint LED lighting. In the second room I had it felt much more pleasant but all the fittings were tired, damaged and getting old and the sliding door to the bathroom was off its sliders and just lent against its location so could not be closed.
Review 8:The breakfast and beefeater restaurant linked to the hotel and the location.
Review 9:Noisy, poor insulation, electric heater made clunking noise everytime it cycled on and off. Automatic door could be heard from my room keeping me awake.
Review 10:Location
Review 11:Very accommodating staff; phoned with only a few hours notice to see if cot was available and had one delivered from another hotel. Breakfast also great and very friendly for young families - with 3 kids the ability to have 2 additional single beds, travel cot and double all in room and kids eat free at breakfast
Review 12:Communicatin between Premier Inn and "booking.com" has to be improved - prices via hotel homepages are better. Sleeping quality on the fourst bed inside the family room is inacceptable
Review 13:Value for money.
Review 14:I booked 3 rooms for a relatives wedding the booking came up 3 rooms with disabled access which we didn't need ?
Review 15:The bed was excellent and the bathroom was a wet room as I can't clncultNt in bath with was brillant
Review 16:The room was not clean. The toilet was filthy. We asked to have it cleaned the day we arrived. Nothing was done at all. Shan't be staying here again.
Review 17:The breakfast was delicious
Review 18:We enjoyed being right next to the Woking/Basingstoke Canal. The attached pub was great and served good Biritsh fare. We appreciated being able to walk into town and also to our friend's place in Horsell. It is really a lovely spot!
Review 19:The bathroom fan was irritating - it switched on with the light and could not be disabled, emitting a high pitched whine.
Review 20:Fairly good location - nice to have a pub next door by the canal.
Review 21:Asked for room on top floor but got ground floor. Came back from brothers funeral to find coach parked inches from my window so could not see out. Spoke to receptionist who said there was nowhere else for the coach to park and we were not even informed. I get claustrophobic so could not stay in that room as coach was staying all night. Asked to be moved, lucky one room left on top floor, had to put all our stuff together again and move outer room, which took time and we were due to out for dinner. Considering the upset of the day due to funeral and to be faced by this and move room and be late out for dinner we were not happy. The receptionist, said I have apologised what else can I do. I am sure you understand our problem.
Review 22:The bed was great. The location was good next to the canal with easy access to Woking town centre to walk.
Review 23:Despite clearly indicating in the booking confirmation that we were to travel with dogs upon booking 5 weeks before travel, the hotel called us on the day of planned arrival to cancel the booking because the hotel did not allow dogs. The hotel staff was very unfriendly and could only advise us not to travel with dogs, as any hotel in the UK would charge huge costs. Fortunately we found a better and cheaper hotel at Heathrow allowing dogs. I even got an email afterwards stating I would be charged for 88 GBP for cancellation costs. Hilarious. I will never ever consider that hotel chain again.
Review 24:A little disappointed with the bed - have used Premiers before where beds much firmer.
Review 25:Fantastic venue for gathering of friends and family prior to wedding. Great location not far from church.
Review 26:No drawers for clothes, only small shelves. Only short hanging space, no long hanging.
Review 27:Comfortable bed, good evening meal in the Beefeater next door, and also great breakfast!
Review 28:Don't like your policy of only one hand & bath towel for two people, but staff obliging when ask for extra,
Review 29:Staff extremely helpful, location& parking good, very clean room
Review 30:The hotel has its "particular" smell (especially on the corridors) which may be a bit annoying.
Review 31:The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The room was OK generally speaking but the carpet and the bathroom were some areas the hotel could improve. The carpet was a bit "tired" (not bad but...) and the bathroom was just ... regular.
Review 32:One tiny hook in the bathroom? Family of 4 in a tiny room with only the bathroom to change in no where to hang your clothes while you shower. Fan was squeaky and didn't out take the humidity. Main bed rolls to easily. Cot bed was hard and lumpy my son wound up sleeping on the floor. Cars parking at all hours outside our window.
Review 33:Having the restaurant close and beds ready for the kids. There was a fan in the room helpful to run when you have 4 people in a room. However, I would not call this a family room.
Review 34:Only one small hand towell and one small bath towell. Bed was very high, someone elderly may struggle to get in and out.
Review 35:Very quiet even though the adjoining pub was open. Very pleasant staff.
Review 36:The coffee at breakfast was very poor Evening meal selection was expensive WiFi should be free not just for half an hour
Review 37:The full breakfast was very good The pub and hotel surrounds are very nice Good safe parking
Review 38:did not like the fact the dining was on a separate building to the hotel and it is not owned by the hotel. we had to walk in the rain to get breakfast and the big lady that attended to us on the second day didn't particularly like black customers. she was extremely really nice to the white customers even all the children noticed. our table was never cleared so we had to be moving plates to make room. of course this was different for all the white customers.
Review 39:love the location. loved our stay on the first day.
Review 40:Have always found Premier Inn's WiFi charges a bit of a con. Surely in this day & age, they should have free WiFi or, if they insist on charging, then a discounted 24/48hr/72hr rate of £3/£4/£5 rather than the £3/£6/£9 as at present
Review 41:Staff stood at the entrance (directly outside our room) smoking, talking and laughing on and off all evening into the early hours!! Not great when they'd postioned single bed and cot right near the window. Greated in the morning by a member of staff that looked like she'd just arrived back from her night out!!
Review 42:The facilities, breakfast and value for money were good.
Review 43:Small room for a family room, heating inadequate / didn't work overnight, extractor fan in bathroom very loud and woke both of us while using the bathroom.
Review 44:The bed, quiet location, polite staff.
Review 45:One of the waitresses was quite rude and unfriendly.
Review 46:Probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in at a hotel. Very friendly receptionist on arrival and a nice breakfast. I will definitely be booking a Premier Inn next time I go away with the family.
Review 47:Convenient location in quiet area. We have no cold water in our room but even though we arrived around midnight, staff did all they could to help. Wouldn't want to spend the week there but great for an overnight stay to break a journey. Staff at breakfast also helpful & cheerfuk
Review 48:No comfy armchair in which to sit and read or watch television
Review 49:Car parking, restaurant next door, comfy bed, nice staff on Reception, great location for my work committments
Review 50:If I had to find a fault I would say it could do with some air conditioning as the floor standing fan was a little noisy
Review 51:The bed was fab, great nights sleep was had by all, and the breakfast was great, hot and tasty and cooked to order with plenty of choice.
Review 52:No complaints
Review 53:Comfy bed, Temperature and lighting were good, and WiFi was also good. Tea and coffee making facilities were much appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Altogether a pleasant stay.
Review 54:The room was way too warm couldn't control the heating or open the Windows because then the traffic and over bead airplane noise. Not a good night's sleep at all.
Review 55:No easy chair in which to sit and read in the evening.
Review 56:Location, car parking, comfortable bed, quiet room, a Reception that was hugely welcoming, and having a decent restaurant on the doorstep.
Review 57:No fdrinking water in the room 4 beds in the room and no other choice or chairs spiders everywhere. Bathroom tiles grouting all stained. So expensive for the room, it had 3 beds in it and only the 2 of us. Holes in the curtains looked like moths.
Review 58:Bed was comfortable and the staff were trying to please.
Review 59:I was given an invalid room, number 2 to be correct, however being 73 year old and very active, I found the bars around the bathroom were colourful, and the cord for an emergency would have been handy if I had needed it.The room was clean and cosy. And I enjoyed my stay.
Review 60:The fact that after 6-30pm, snacks were not available. After a large lunch,i felt a snack would have been nice.
Review 61:windows didnt open properly due to security but it was a hot room because of the weather, hallway needs a fresh air now and again very very stuffy
Review 62:nice quite location nice pub to sit out
Review 63:No air conditioning. The hotel did supply fans, but for the price you pay, you would expect air conditioning. As we were on the ground floor we wouldnt have left windows open all night, and they only open a little bit anyway. It was the only thing that let it down
Review 64:The location was brilliant, and it was very nice to have the pub next door to relax in the garden with a few drinks and a snack before we headed off to Woking.
Review 65:The Pub, rather shabby & having to go out there for breakfast. Only allowed one hand towel each & yet unused towels were roved each day & not replaced.
Review 66:Receptionist very helpful. Convenient for Bisley Championships.
Review 67:NO airconditioning! 28 degrees in the room and a small fan to try to cool us down. Even with the windows open it was difficult to get comfortable. PLEASE get aircon!
Review 68:The room was great, lovely and quiet. The Beefeater next door was a hit with my six year old and all the staff we met at the Premier Inn were charming.
Review 69:No air conditioning in the rooms but perhaps it was hotter than usual in the UK around then. I didn't sleep well due to the heat but the kids slept ok.
Review 70:The staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were precisely as advertised and adequate. The restaurant next door was a bonus both for breakfast and afternoon beers with snacks.
Review 71:I found the booking in took longer than I had expected to considering that I had booked in advance and it was a little confusing but I got what I had booked and the staff were pleasant.
Review 72:The rooms were comfortable and quiet and the staff helpful. Booking out was very straightforward.
Review 73:The staff never said hello or goodbye when you went through reception. The cleaner would knock on the door even if we had the Do not Disturb sign up, and make you feel bad if you weren't ready to leave the room! She didn't leave us any towels for a couple if days, wouldn't top up tea bags, milk etc.. I think it was revenge lol! The worst part was beds, the mattress topper on main bed was a heat trap and we would wake up 1/2 cooked in the middle if the night despite leaving fan on. We spent 20 days in 2 different Premier Inns and my 7yo son had the worst deal as the trundle beds are rock hard. He would wake all night and try to get in our bed for some comfort. The Premier Inn Horsell said they'd refund 1 night, under the Good Night Guarantee but as yet I have not seen the money back.
Review 74:It was clean and tidy.
Review 75:Bed too short, even though I'm only 6ft. Rooms geared for single person, had to ask for second set of towels twice. Hot water from basin not hot enough to wet shave.
Review 76:Convenient and quiet location. Friendly staff.
Review 77:For someone with a gammy leg, the room was about as far away from the hub of the hotel as one could get - and up a flight of stairs.
Review 78:Bad smell in first room so asked to be changed. Had to ask for a hairdryer
Review 79:Room was a good size
Review 80:Could do with mini fridge in room for guest
Review 81:Restaurant next door was handy for dinner.
Review 82:Facilities and attitude of few staff
Review 83:Friendly staff, good accommodation and dining and well situated
Review 84:The heat in the rooms and also was much further than I was lead to believe from where we was visiting
Review 85:The staff and the food

Review 93:Really difficult to control the temperature of the room.it was so hot - no air con.
