Reviews for Naxos Kalimera Apartments
Review 1:Too far from the see.Two days stay in Naxos is enough.
Review 2:Small, folk style hotel, frendly staff. You need a car or bike. Beautiful beaches, nice Chora-small town, the capital of Naxos.
Review 3:I didn't like that we had so little time there! Next time we will stay much longer!
Review 4:The friendly staff made our stay so much more enjoyable. As we were on our honeymoon they had set the room us beautifully and we had a fantastic view.
Review 5:If you have young children you would probably need a car . We did the walk to the beach easily though. You need to walk to the beach area to catch the bus as well.
Review 6:Lovely big balcony with views to sea and mountains , big room with a kitchenette, nice pool, peaceful location away from the majority of apartments.Transfers to and from the port meant we could manage with public transport. Staff looked after guests.
Review 7:We could not ask for a better place to stay! The appartment and the pool area were very nice and clean and the breakfast delicious! But what really made the difference were the kind, full of positive energy people who worked there. And of course, the cutest dog ever, Mickey!
Review 8:A little far from the beach. There is a swimming pool though.
Review 9:Polite an helpful staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast. Free transport from port and airport of Naxos to the hotel.
Review 10:Rent a car to see Naxos, the roads are poor and very narow, so a bike is pretty dangerous.
Review 11:The hotel is just outside Chora, so very peacefully situated. Just 400 metres there is a nice beach, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The pool is pretty big, so you can have nice swim. But the hostess is a lovely person who does everything for you, whatever you ask. Very, very kind! Would stay again! For diner I recommend restaurant Pharos. Great Greek food, good value for money, service is great as well.
Review 12:Like a lot of Greek accommodation the beds were too hard. The bath and shower poor.
Review 13:Friendly quiet, environment, panoramic views, breakfast variation, transfer to and from port.
Review 14:The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious with most things being home made by Voula. The views are delightful and the accommodation spacious and very clean. We highly recommend it. For those who need to know it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach and the bus stop.the
Review 15:We have spent 4 excellent days in Naxos Kalimera, everything was perfect, from the awesome breakfast near the swimming pool in the morning (home-made bakeries and so one) to the advices (concerning the island, etc.) and services (car rental, boat tickets, etc.), provided by the owner.. Warmly recommended!
Review 16:The spacious apartment and the hosts willingness to help out with anything, there is also a great restaurant just down the road for evening meals. Don't miss the home cooked treats for breakfast! This place is worth more than two stars by a long way
Review 17:Every thing was fantastic! Nothing not to like here!
Review 18:The rooms are nice and clean, and the varied breakfasts were very nice. The staff are very friendly and make the beds up and clean the rooms every day! There is a cute resident dog called Mickey that likes walks and took him for a few. George was kind enough to pick us up and drop us back at the port in town. There is a nice restaurant called George's five minutes walk from the hotel and the beaches near by are beautiful with the clearest water! It's kind of in the country side though and if you have no scooter etc ... then it is a long walk to town. It is very quiet though in that respect, and has a rural feel.
Review 19:Leaving
Review 20:Voula and Rozmarie treated us like family. Every day the breakfast had home cooking featuring traditional greek food and coffee. Room was cleaned superbly each day and we wanted for nothing. Transport to town seemed always to be available. Plaka beach must rate as one of the best in the world. Nearby foodmarket provides most required goods and restaurants in Agia Anna are worth a visit. Any assistance a person may need regarding activities on the island is readliy provided. Special thanks to Voula's mother who made beautiful traditional soup for us.
Review 21:The hotel is situated a distance from the main restuarant area.
Review 22:The service that Voula provides makes this hotel special. The accommodation is great and spendidly clean. The breakfast that Voila provides is wonderful. Her friendliness (and all the staff) makes your stay memorable. When asked, she gladly arranged for transport to the city centre, and arranged vehicle rental when required. My wife and I certainly intend returning.
Review 23:Nothing!
Review 24:Great value for money. Swimming pool was nice and clean. Exceptionally friendly staff. Great breakfast. Greek coffee whenever we wanted! Free transfer to and from the port of Naxos. Very quiet, we got a great sleep. A motorbike hire was arranged for us very easily.
Review 25:The wifi is a bit slow
Review 26:Really excellent and free breakfast, varying from day to day. Very friendly staff. Clean nice rooms with private balcony. Clean swimming pool with good sofa's and tabels outside wich can be used to consume the breakfast. Free café freddo's. 10 min walk to the nearest beach. Possibility of ordering (fast foody) meals to the hotel. Free shuttlebus to the city and back whenever you like.
Review 27:Room and balcony (lovely view) were spacious and clean. The swimmingpool was clean and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. The breakfast, everyday fresh and delicious, was amazing. Voula was a great hostess, we would definitely go there again!
Review 28:All good nothing bad.
Review 29:Family run hotel that does everything possible to ensure the customer comes first. Great freshly prepared breakfasts that offer something differant every day along with local coffee and other local fresh produce. Spotless, well furnished and comfortable rooms, we enjoyed a great view of the Hora to one side and Plaka beach to the other with the hills in between. The pool was great as well as the pool side furniture. The walk to Maragas beach was fine and not a problem. Agia Anna was only about 7 to 8 minutes at a stroll. Mickey the dog was a pleasure, a great little lad. Best of all was the family, good people who care about their customers.
Review 30:If you arrive by car, google maps instructions are not accurate. Instead, ask or emai the owner and she will provide precise instructions.
Review 31:Lovely stay, the room was spacious, conveniently located and with all the comforts. The best part was the breakfast, delicious, home-cooked proper greek food featuring local specialties and greek coffee. An extra bonus, breakfast was open until noon ;)
Review 32:a bit too many mosquitos but they promptly gave us the product to keep them far.
Review 33:Voula, the owner, is really the heart and light of the place. she is vivid, friendly and always smiling.
Review 34:The pool was not open very late. It would have been nice to take a dip late at night under the clear starlit night, after a night out, but I completely understand how some folks might take advantage and make too much noise for the other guests.
Review 35:The island was beautiful. The weather was beautiful. What more could you ask for? How about a beautiful experience where you're staying? That is exactly what we enjoyed at Kalimera Apartments. We did not expect to spend a lot of our time at a hotel when we are on a beautiful Greek island; however we did expect to take advantage of what the hotel had to offer in between our beach excursions, island discovery and restaurant/bar nights out. Voula and her staff were perfectly in tune with our needs. The breakfasts couldn't be better, from the fresh homemade jams and honeys, to the pastries and main dishes, and finally Voula's special Greek coffee. The pool was perfectly maintained and although we did not use it much, I thought it was just another example of how well the entire place was managed. Smiles, jokes, service all came very naturally. When we come back to Naxos, I see no reason to look anywhere else. I'll book well in advance for Kalimera Apartments.
Review 36:As difficult customer you can always find something, the location and scenery are not as fantastic as expected.
Review 37:Fourniture, swimming pool, breakfast are great. But on top of That Voula's and her team provide a VIP services. Anything you need or want, they will do anything possible to help you (car booking, restaurant, drop off, etc.)...and even find a room for you durind high season when Naxos is overcrowded as you missed your boat... as it has happened to us!
Review 38:Beds could be better - for instance our double bed was two single beds put together. But not a big problem.
Review 39:Excellent service, breakfast, pool, location, close to fantastic beach, amazing place.
Review 40:I didn't like leaving the hotel and saying goodbye to such wonderful people.
Review 41:There are not enough complimentary things I could say about our stay at this hotel. From the very moment we arrived in Naxos to the moment we left we were superbly looked after by the family that run this excellent hotel. The free transfers to the hotel, and shuttle services to the town and the beach by Apostilis made life so convenient for us. Voula's passion for cooking up new and delicious breakfasts every morning and the unlimited frappes made by Rozamarie by the pool made our stay luxurious. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and cleaned spotlessly every day. The pool was an oasis, with plenty of chairs and tables to relax by. The beaches are a short walk 10 minute away, with a convenient supermarket very nearby. Most importantly the warmth we felt from the family who run this hotel was unbelievable. They were all so hard working but yet cheerful in an effort to make our stay memorable. Truly a wonderful stay on a beautiful part of the island.
Review 42:We have never felt more welcome at a hotel than at Naxos Kalimera. The staff (familiy-owned) is simply FANTASTIC. If you need a ride to the beach or to town, they will give you one. When you are at the pool, they will bring you juice. Etc. Etc. The hotel is fairly new (8 years) and in good conditions. We had a nice and big apartment with a great balcony with a fantastic view. Agia Anna is a very nice place with a good beach, nice restaurants, etc. And Naxos is a nice island with some interesting places to visit, a good atmosphere and not too touristy (almost no charter tourism).
Review 43:The location indicator on booking.com is to misleading. Litterly no shower in the room. And beds are hard as on most Greek hotels
Review 44:Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Always serve limonade or frappe to guests at the pool. Offering transport anytime anywhere. Nice view from the balcony and quiet surrondings.
Review 45:Our stay was just too short!!!
Review 46:We had a perfect stay in Naxos Kalimera , everything was just smooth and very relaxing. The free pickup from the port was a good and relaxing start. The staff is very friendly, helpfull and very warm, so that you feel welcome from the first minute. The Swimmingpool and swimmingpoolarea is very clean and well mentained and very comfy so that you can relax right by the Hotel if you dont like to go to the beach. The Hotel provides umbrellas for the beach and a lot of toys for the Kids. The breakfast is delicious , everyday homemade warm dishes and one or two cakes , that pimp up the breakfast every day. Voula even makes her own yoghurt and cheese every day. The Snacks are provided the whole day, so you can just step by the Lobby and grab something. Every day fresh made greek coffee. The rooms are simple, but have everything that you need inside. We enjoyed the big balcony very much! The beds are comfortable! If you arrive you have delicious homemade wine and Ouzo in your room. Voula always has something to offer, so you wont stay hungry anyways.... The Hotel also helps you to rent a car and get really great deals. We definately will come back and can recommend this property to everyone, this fine little family- hotel is very childfriendly! Not far from the beach, we rented a car though, not quite sure how long it would be too walk. We felt like beeing at home away from home. Thank you for this great experience. We´ll see you again very soon! : )
Review 47:Nothing
Review 48:We have had a wonderful stay at Naxos Kalimera. It is the second time we have stayed here and we love it. The rooms are very spacious and extremely comfort ale, they are cleaned daily and you are made to feel right at home. Voula makes you feel very comfortable and happy here, she is the best cook and makes delicious food all the time including aubergine and pumpkin pies for breakfast! Voula and her family are always on hand to help, giving you directions and transfers wherever required. The apartments are a short walk from the beach which is gorgeous golden sand and crystal clear sea. We were going to Athens but decided to lengthen our stay here as we loved it so much! We would recommend this to anyone whether you are a young couple of family :)
Review 49:Uncomfortable beds/pillows. walk to the beach was far greater than 400m as they advertised but they were happy take you and pick you up. Beds were two singles rather than a queen as advertised. Flies, flies and more flies in the room. Low pressure showers and not so warm water if you take a shower after 6pm. Bottom floor rooms open up to the breakfast area so you cannot sleep in with the noise in the morning.
Review 50:Hospitality was outstanding with Apostolis willing to take you or pick you up anytime from the beach or city centre.
Review 51:Spacious rooms, cleanliness, quiet, television, swimming pool and family welcome.
Review 52:lovely spacious studio with great balcony very comfortable bed
Review 53:On the map looks close to the sea but it is quite far.
Review 54:The owner. Very kind and helpful.
Review 55:Great facilities, the extras and the friendliness. You feel welcome right away!
Review 56:The host
Review 57:THE LOVELY BREAKFAST WITH FRESH HOME made baking each day.Lovely spacious apartment rooms and great pool with nice surrounding areas.

Review 61:nothing
Review 62:Wulla, the onwer, cuddles you like your mother when you get back to her!
Review 63:Breakfast choice, very simple romos, Internet not working well in the whole resort
Review 64:Location close to Agia Anna, Personnel very friendly and helpful
Review 65:We loved everything about it Voula was the most amazing person, and couldn't do enough. Lovely room wonderful breakfasts
Review 66:Too many flies in the area because an adjacent farm rearing some cattles!
Review 67:The room is big and clean. Breakfast is adequate and good. Service is excellent. The female owner provide very good service and made me felt like living at home. A very good hotel and great value for money.
Review 68:Maybe a little bit to long way to the best beach which is Plaka. 10-15 min walk can be pretty warm for the kids. On the other side, one could ask for a ride from the owner.
Review 69:Breakfast was good, with fresh fruitsalad every day. The owner baked a cake every day, free to eat of, and sometimes some greek speciality free to taste. If we wanted a ride somewhere, the owner organized it for free.
Review 70:Lovely staff, very very welcoming. Great spacious rooms and nice pool area. Amazing value - inclusions are breakfast, food to snack on during the day, free water, transfers to/from port, transfers to/from Agia Anna if you want. It is about a 15 minute walk from the beach on a road (not a busy one)..so if you have a car it is especially good.
Review 71:totally overwhelmed by the hospitality.Voula who runs it is great cooking allsorts of treats for breakfast plus always bringing drinks snacks etc if your round pool which is also lovely very well kept. Then there,s the legendary Mickey her lovely little dog. Will try and get back again
Review 72:Our stay at Naxos Kalimera was the best of all the places we stayed at on our 2 weeks long trip. You will get everything that you need for a good comfortable stay. If something is missing you can just speak with the kind owner, Voula. She is always available for help and ready to do her best as she can. A fresh homemade breakfast is set up very lovingly by her. She put efforts to make one new dish everyday which I thought was really nice of her. The breakfast and the coffee made by herself is great to get you going for the morning. Initially on arrival we thought that the location was a bit not in the center. But it turned out just perfect for us. Agia Anna and Agios Prokopios both are close by. And a supermarket just outside the hotel. Everything is perfect about this place! Next time we come to Naxos this is the place where we will stay.
Review 73:Voula the owner is just perfect and makes your stay likje an all inclusive holliday. Perfect service, spacious rooms with free water, bottel of house made wind and free drinks and snacks during the day. Free pick up and transfers. I would surely go there again.
