Reviews for Hotel Bon Repos
Review 1:Hotel is very old, terrace and beach in front of the hotel was smelly. They classified their guests according to their accommodation - two types of restaurants and food (apartments - one type of food for the others lower quality). Also for all inclusive guests they had a comedy show, for half pension and other guests nothing - discrimination. During the paid dinner we also had to extra pay for drink.
Review 2:The pool and nature around hotel was nice. The staff was OK.
Review 3:Breakfast is below any standard (we cancelled).
Review 4:Room with balcony, cleaned every day. Towels changed every day. Free parking. Close to the market. Location is all right (taxi boat stop is just next to the hotel). Flexible staff.
Review 5:No air conditioning, unbearable on top floor with hot temperatures in high season. Breakfast was terrible (wasps in marmalade, eggs tasted like outdated cottage cheese). WiFi signal in lobby was very poor and slow. "Free parking" hell, places are too small and never free. When no wind blowing, sea smells disgusting, due to a port being right around the corner.
Review 6:Room was always clean. Supermarket across the street. Frequent taxi boat next to the hotel which go to Korčula center or to the other small beach islands (Badija, Vrnik).
Review 7:The room was below any standard, but since it was the only and the cheapest accommodation left at the time of our booking, considering the price, I didn't expect too much. What shocked me was the rest of it, since there are much more expensive rooms and apartments in the complex, and guests who payed for those received the same so-called-service. Extremely rude and lazy staff at he reception desk, with no manners or knowledge about tourism. Housekeepers who gathered in front of our balcony with their brooms, at 7 a.m. to yell and laugh instead of cleaning. I ate (tried to eat) breakfast only once. It was the worst scene I have ever seen in any of the hotels I stayed at. Food was horrible. Cheapest cold cuts, eggs that stink, I guess because there is no air condition in the restaurant so they rot in the matter of minutes. Jelly and chocolate spread full of dead and alive wasps!! That wasps fly all over the restaurant and the terrace which makes it impossible to have a normal breakfast without waveing your arms like a crazy person to stop them from entering your mouth. And if you are wondering where do they come from. I'm afraid the answer is-garbage! The smell of it covers the entire terrace and many places all over the complex. This place is a health hazard and I'm surprised no inspection haven't closed it yet.
Review 8:Booked on Booking.com and was for 2 nights, being a hotel would haveassumed air conditioning. Even a fan in the room, it was 29 degrees inthe room in the middle of the night. The drain in the shower didn'tdrain away.
Review 9:Had a location on the beach
Review 10:The hotel advertises that it has three stars but I think that is the official characterization is two (I think it does not deserve even one). We were on the top floor and the room didn´t have the a fan (it was very hot season but room could not be cooled even at night). I am very disappointed with the overall picture and the staff which was not very helpful.
Review 11:The hotel is quite old and needs renovation. Needs new doors and windows. The partly open gap above the main door (which cannot be closed) to the room is unnecessary because you can hear all the sounds from the hallway and other rooms. Luckily, there is another door between the bathroom and the main area where the bed is. Guests who are not all inclusive cannot use the drinks from the cafeteria where meals are served. Only all inclusive guests can use the machines for sparkling water, alcohol beverages, sodas, etc.
Review 12:The staff is amazing and very hardworking and dedicated. The cleaning lady brings new towels every day. There is always warm water and there are no water problems. There was no need for the air conditioning in the room because the temperature was just about right (which is the case with the end of the June, when we were staying). The water is suitable for drinking. The food is excellent and it is a buffet type of service. Breakfast is the usual type of breakfast served in most of hotels. Dinner is amazing and there are many different (at least 10 to15) types of food you can eat: cold appetizers, main course, salads, soup, bread, etc. You can rent a bicycle and ride to Lumbarda beach, which I highly recommend. Konzum store is right across the hotel. Korcula itself is filled with friendly cats which I am sure the cat lovers will appreciate. The staff told us that many cats from the hotel area were adopted and now live happily somewhere outside Croatia: all you have to to is take it to the vet (near the bus station Korcula), it will be vaccinated and given an animal passport and it's ready to go. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who are not willing to pay too much for good service. The good things about the hotel out-top some of the shortcomings.
Review 13:The room was dirty, dirty cotton bud above door. Cobwebs in room. Rubbish in room. Dust on work surfaces. Informed staff but nothing was done. My fiance tried to get a drink which was supposed to be included in `all inclusive`, and couldn`t. He asked the bar staff for assistance but was informed by the waiter that it "is not my problem". The food was awful. Do not stay here.
Review 14:Nothing
Review 15:Old communist hotel with the standard of the 1960's
Review 16:A little dated. Needs some TLC. Seemed to be more of a family orientated hotel. No air conditioning . Wi fi very slow if at all
Review 17:Clean rooms
Review 18:The place is not suitable for solo travelers. AC less rooms and a suffocating atmosphere. Loud music around the pool day and night
Review 19:the hotel was clean
Review 20:location
Review 21:Durty room, bed unconfortable Not enough product for bathroom Too expansive for quality of services
Review 22:Good welcome at thé reception
Review 23:The hotel was old and the facilities where what I would classify as 2-3 stars.
Review 24:The location was stunning
Review 25:It is mainly for families - not suitable really for a couple of friends. Too many children jumping in the pool and parents not supervising making it unpleasant for other guests. (However, that is not the fault of the hotel.) The hotel had not received our booking via Booking.com and, as the hotel was full, they gave us a grotty room without balcony (we had booked a room with balcony) on the first floor. Basically the room was not clean, was extremely tatty and old and the bathroom had seen better days. After the first day, a room became available with balcony (but not the superior room we had booked) and was identical to the one we had but with balcony so we turned it down as we were only there for 4 nights. All in all, a very rundown hotel that has seen better days, staff who were not particularly friendly (except for the 2 people working at the beachside bar) - it appeared that they were used to complaints by their attitude - and a dubious, very unappetising breakfast. Not a pleasant stay at all.
Review 26:The location is superb - right on the beach almost with a regular taxi service to Korcula town.
Review 27:Stay away from this place!! Horrible experience, we got a room on third floor and there was no elevator, the room floor was dirty and the furniture were very old. There was no hot water in fact there was only cold water!! The staff was not able to help since it is pressure in the pipes problem so I assume it happen a lot!! There is no air condition in the room and phone was not connected at all and TV was not working The breakfast was very basic and many bees everywhere.
Review 28:Breakfast very plain and room on 3rd floor with no lift and no help with cases to room
Review 29:Next to dive centre as on dive holiday
Review 30:Old and antiquate rooms, poor cleaning, uncomfortable bed, and no air conditioner! no recomendable at all, except for the location
