Reviews for Swan Guest House LONDON - HEATHROW

Review 1:Nothing to actively dislike.

Review 2:Most things on good side of the equation. Friendly landlord/landlady, very flexible about arrival time, keys etc. Convenient for public transport. Very quiet for city!

Review 3:Reasonably priced and exceptionally clean. The location was convenient to Heathrow, shops and the train for downtown London and points west. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, providing a personal shuttle to the airport (less than a 10 minute ride) to catch our return flight.

Review 4:The only disadvatage is a shared bathroom but because it was sooooo clean, we didnt mind that either!

Review 5:Amazing stay! We needed something cheap around Heathrow for one night and we got exactly what we needed. Amazing price, amazing hosts and spotless place. We've never seen anything as clean as this, and the house including our room smelt beautiful. I would recommend it for anyone that needs a stay in the area!

Review 6:No prior warning that they don't accept credit cards. Took cash only and I had to walk to a cash point before I could leave.

Review 7:Booked the budget option- cosy little room with all the space I needed. Brief walk to train station for easy ride into central London.

Review 8:Perfect location for Heathrow and M25 corridor businesses. Walking distance from West Drayton station, which is in Oyster catchment. Quiet, comfortable, and wifi-enabled. Great staff who couldn't have been more helpful

Review 9:not taking payment by card was the only down side, but I knew in advance and had cash ready, so a minor detail.

Review 10:Very accommodating hosts, we arrived late, but nothing was a problem, they advised me of a good take away near by as we were to late for any thing else. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful.

Review 11:Arrived late to find house seemed empty apart from one young man who took my payment in advance, told me there would be no breakfast available and that he would be leaving soon. The owners did not seem to be around at all. I felt unwelcome, cheated and a bit unsafe.

Review 12:Location was okay

Review 13:Absolutely delightful guest house! I was only there for one night but you could easily stay there for a week due to the location of the train and bus stations. I had the single guest room and the bed was like sleeping on a big ball of cotton, Loved It!! Slept like an angel. The shower was great as well. The owner was wonderful and helpful too. Took the U3 bus from the airport to the guest house for just 2 pounds and they run in both directions about every 20 minutes.

Review 14:taxi driver tried to charge £22 to Heathrow Terminal 4 when I had agreed £19.50 on phone but not fault of hotel

Review 15:nearby train station and not too far from Heathrow, very helpful explaining that I could use oyster card for train to West Drayton from Paddington, everything was as I hoped, restaurants and shops nearby, The Golden Curry was nice and spicy

Review 16:The host was helpful and charming, as was the room. The location was convenient to the rail station, which was easy to use to get to and from the city.

Review 17:We were a bit warm at night as I don't think there was AC and we didn't want to open the window too much for fear of bugs.

Review 18:The Swan Guest House had a unique feel, a nice bed, and was extremely clean. The owner was very gracious and even hopped out of bed super early in the morning to help us when we had some flight troubles.

Review 19:No parking available at guest house, but was able to find free parking on nearby street.

Review 20:Room was immaculately clean and well fitted out - very comfortable bed. Location was excellent for me - Close to Heathrow and also to good train link to Central London.

Review 21:Would have liked a small fridge in the room.

Review 22:A nice and clean room with en-suite bathroom offered by a friendly and helpful host. Shops, restaurants and train station are in walking distance.

Review 23:The house was adorable - our room had a beautiful view of the garden. The host was very nice. We had our own bathroom and were able to easily walk to small grocery stores and restaurants nearby. We were only there for one night but it was a nice little stay!

Review 24:Only five minutes walk to the West Drayton railway system which accepts Oyster Cards. Ten minutes drive to London Heathrow Airport. Quaint B&B with a recently updated interior. Extremely clean premises with nice bathrooms. Vladimir is a thoughtful host catering to every need.

Review 25:Our room and ensuite were immaculately clean and tidy. Excellent facilities such as king size bed, free wifi and TV. Breakfast was lovely but a bit expensive.

Review 26:Good location, couldn't hear any planes and there were places to get some food and buy some snacks pretty close by. Vlad was a great host and welcomed me with a refreshing drink when I arrived. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone travelling from Heathrow :)

Review 27:Friendly welcome, very clean and comfortable, i was given a view of all the rooms and they were all presented to a good standard of furnishings and cleanliness. I would certainly book again. Highly recommended!!!!

Review 28:A bit poor noise insulation between other rooms, although that is pretty standard in British houses. Shower could be stronger and warmer bathroom.

Review 29:Liked this place a lot. Starting from the warm welcome from Vladimir, continuing with spacious double room which was simply spotless. Extremely clean and tidy, looks like newly renovated. Soft and warm cozy carpet. Big bed and BIG new LCD TV with number of channels. Located 3 mins walk from the train station. Nearby places to eat or take away. Will repeat myself, but place was exceptionally clean, I find it a big value - can't find such B&Bs/hotels often. Even had a Christmass tree inside the room!

Review 30:Location was ideal, 5 minutes walk from the station and handy for my business venue near Heathrow. I received a personal welcome, arriving late in the evening. Breakfast was served bang on time every day and the food was delicious. I had a lovely room overlooking the rose garden. A very tranquil stay after busy days at a conference

Review 31:Although the Guest House was further away from Heathrow than other hotels the privacy and quietness was exceptional. I caught the U3 bus from Heathrow Central Station and I was dropped outside the door. All this for a small local bus fee. Vladimir could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The Guest House has all the facilities anyone would need. The beds were comfortable and everywhere clean and welcoming. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling back to or from Heathrow.

Review 32:Did not take credit cards - the only tough part about being a business traveler - you want to expense your accommodations.

Review 33:Very sweet, welcoming host who greets you in the morning with breakfast and will set a table for you at night if you bring your own dinner and wine home. No deposit was required up front and I paid for my room on the morning I checked out.

Review 34:There is no fire escape, so the only way out is down the main stairs & out through the main door. The shower door needs to be repaired as it is not secure. The cost of the accomdation at £60 is very expensive fro what you get & breakfast at £10 was also excessive, the choice was from 3 cereal boxes & the butter was out of an already used carton as were the jams & marmalades from used jars. I feel that a visit from the hotel/guest house federation (if there is one) is required to see if this guest house is up to standard. Lastly, the payment for the stay was cash only!!

Review 35:It was relatively close to the centre of Uxbridge.

Review 36:A toilet roll holder would have been nice. Toilet rolls sitting on top of the cistern made it awkward to access when sitting on the seat.

Review 37:Our host was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and beds were comfortable. A short walk to the train station made access to Central London easy and there are plenty of restaurants around for good food.

Review 38:Modern bright room. Friendly owner. No problems with parking. Very near Heathrow with an easy drive in. The high St. (50 metres away) has a variety of cafes, restaurants shops and pubs.

Review 39:Very nice/clean.

Review 40:Very comfortable bed and room. Nice and warm. Good location for working at stockley park.

Review 41:super friendly staff

Review 42:Nothing to dislike

Review 43:Very clean, well located near West Drayton station and comfortable.

Review 44:Single bed

Review 45:Good people, honest and hard working

Review 46:No heating so a bit chilly & no-one on site permanently to communicate with

Review 47:Good location

Review 48:Got sore back from bed being a little to soft (at least for me).

Review 49:Sensible price given proximity to Heathrow. Good for overnight stay prior to flight.

Review 50:Nice and friendly manager, clean rooms, well furnished

Review 51:Web site could have provided a little more information re transport to Heathrow Airport.

Review 52:the friendliness of the owner and the high standard of all the property

Review 53:Door opened outwards from the room and sharing with a hot airing cupboard ( single room)

Review 54:Clean and welcoming. Great value and nice touches.

Review 55:Good welcome and very clean facilities.

Review 61:nothing

Review 62:The staff is very nice and helpful!

Review 63:Clean and tidy, convenient location. Owner provided hair drier when requested. Quiet.

Review 64:Cash-only policy in London is a little outdated. Congested neighborhood.

Review 65:Large clean room.

Review 66:Good location. Very comfortable room and Clean.

Review 67:good location, very clean and comfortable

Review 68:Its a nice place with good features. Comfortable and the staff are good. Its a good place to stay for a day or two.

Review 69:We liked everything about the facility. I must admit that the placer has been our stopover place between the country travel and the Heathrow airport. The rooms are newly renovated, spacious, clean and tidy bathroom, great wifi connection. Connection to London city centre is OK. The host is flexible, since our leave was early in the morning, left us some fruit basket.

Review 70:Room is noisy because of its a old house. And rooms havent got toilet and bathroom.

Review 71:Old house, hospitable staffs, close to the heathrow AirPort and station.

Review 72:Small bedroom, small bathroom, shower only, small common livingroom (only two armchairs) and double bed only. No cleaning staff on weekends. Short on amenities ie. towels, toilettres not included, hangers.

Review 73:Close to train station (West Drayton) and Bus Service (222). Enjoyed nearby restaurant, Griddle House, for breakfast, great value. Nice patio area. Use of washer, dryer and clothesline.

Review 74:could use wine by the glass for sale.

Review 75:Location to the airport, breakfast, company, service, courtyard and flowers. Had a very enjoyable time and am planning a trip back already.

Review 76:The owner's warm welcome, his continuous help even without asking for it, very friendly owner ability to accommodate guests requests. Clean rooms simply we loved everything you feel home away from home.

Review 77:Only downside was I couldnt get wifi to work, as it was so late I gave up in the end

Review 78:arrived late, around 10pm, owner very friendly and offered a welcome beer that was much appreciated ! Nice place to stay, clean, friendly and very convenient for Heathrow

Review 79:I had a room without ensuite even though this wasn't obvious from the booking.com site. (that's the mark-down on "facilities") However, the bathroom was lovely even if it was a bit far from the bedroom!

Review 80:The location is very good for the Heathrow area and is just a few minutes drive from M4,J4. The facilities are all first rate and beds and bathroom seem to be brand new. There was good off-road parking at no extra cost (which is very good for this location). This property represents excellent value for money. I was made to feel like a special & valued guest.

Review 81:Local-area not to interesting. Few restaurants near by. The chinese one was ok though.

Review 82:We ended up here after our flight from Heathrow had been cancelled. Vladimir, the owner, was very serviceminded and we had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was simple, and good :-) The place is located near the trainstation and should be a perfect starting-point for travels to the center of London. I will use this guesthouse again when we plan to visit London :)

Review 83:A wonderful, modern guesthouse (incl. fast WiFi) in the outskirts of London with an excellent traffic connection to the city of London and Heathrow airport. I travel a lot and stayed in many guesthouses, but this was the best one I have ever been to! If you search for a make-yourself-at-home atmosphere, this is the place to go to!

Review 84:We were greeted and made to feel welcome by the host of the Swan Guest House. It is a very well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable house as well as ideally located close to the Heathrow terminals. I will definitely stay there again and can highly recommend.

Review 85:For a day stopover, it's close to Heathrow and a visit to Windsor & Eton. Comfortable bed and helpful owner

Review 86:Nothing to dislike.

Review 87:Great for the airport..... Nice people.....

Review 88:Bathroom downstairs
