Reviews for Waterside Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:The bathroom was absolutely freezing and was a little bit small and cramped also I was having trouble finding food but there was no member of staff at reception to ask.

Review 2:I liked that instead of it being like a normal hotel, you had your own sections s you couldn't be kept up by anyone else being loud and noisy, there was plenty of parking available and you were right near a main road as well. Staff were nice and friendly and made check out really quick and easy, very nice place to stay and would go back!

Review 3:Damp bed, poor breakfast we went else where for that bathroom not clean mouldy on shower, were going to stay a second night but booked else where. Far to over priced for what it is.

Review 4:Very unhygienic. Continental breakfast offer was very soggy to old to eat it was discussing. All Beds was single not for adults. the size of the beds not suitable for adults. Its was like for 7 to 10 years old kids beds. Very bad and discomfortable stay.

Review 5:Only thing was good its not too far from airport

Review 6:- no any help provided from the staff (e.g. electricity plugin / converter; wi-fi username and password, etc.) - cleanliness rather questionable (e.g. big spider in the toilet, hear, etc.) - food (for breakfast served in the room) very, very old and uneatable - location far away from the Uxbridge center and not very close to the University

Review 7:Would have prefered double bed but for one night singles were comfortable no real complaints

Review 8:Location excellent nice garden next to shalley accommodation nice pool good parking and near park and restaurants.Great for dogs excellent accomodation really friendly owner who cared and had good knowledge of area.

Review 9:I'd like to say something bad so I know there will be room available next time I'm in the area but I can't. No doubt some people would find something bad to put down, but I've worked in this area for over a year on & off, and this is the best place I've found!

Review 10:Nice area. Nice pub a few minutes walk away. Clean room, breakfast and snacks in room. Plenty of parking. Oh, and a swimming pool !!

Review 11:Room too small for 4 adults- more like a camp dormitory than a hotel. Internet access not available from room. Cold breakfast only (cereal, biscuits).

Review 12:Convenient to the airport. Quiet. Refrigerator stocked with milk, juice, and cheese. Early check-in for those arriving on overnight flight.

Review 13:Breakfast was cold cereal and pre-packaged buns. Parking Cabin type rooms (pan abode cedar style) very crowded with furniture

Review 14:Pet friendly Close to Heathrow

Review 15:There is nothing bad I can say about this place. The only thing is I didn't have much luck connecting to the wifi in my room, but that's very minor for me... I tried by the pool, and it was fine. And once I was connected, the wifi continued in my room.... So it's all very good.

Review 16:EVERYTHING!!! I absolutely love this place! Value for money, people are so friendly, and the grounds are actually beautiful! Bonus to have a pool, and a gazebo from my home county, the Philippines! What a brilliant surprise! I'll definitely be back!

Review 17:We did not find the beds at all comfortable. The self serve breakfast was terrible. Some cereal that seemed to have been there a long time...and some long life milk.

Review 18:We had a nice welcome when we arrived at the accommodation. Our rooms were clean. The location was lovely.

Review 19:The only complaint we have is that the blinds in our log cabin were not black out blinds and a lot of light got in which kept me awake.

Review 20:We upgraded to a log cabin and sat outside on the verandah having a cuppa and eating the infamous crisps whilst soaking up the sunshine. The plants and garden made the whole place look lovely. The check in was friendly and we appreciated the woman asking us for a debit card so that we didn't have to pay 5% on a credit card. The breakfast was adequate as we only have cereals at home.

Review 21:I loved my room. It was the luxury option and just like a cozy log cabin. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and well equipped with its own private decking. The owners were helpful and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.

Review 22:All good.

Review 23:It was a nice place for all our family to meet to chill out before going to a family wedding in nearby Uxbridge Golf Club. We had a really nice afternoon sitting round the pool in the brilliant sunshine. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and they made our stay trouble free.

Review 24:Accommodation was in an annexe in a separate building away from main house and shared with other guests. Not great for safety of a woman travelling alone. Walls were paper thin and other guests conversation could be clearly heard. Breakfast consisted of d I y cheap cereal etc. To be taken in the room. The property was covered with signs giving rules with no please or thank you. The place was not clean. Finding someone else's pubic hairs in the shower is not a good experience. Having paid in advance for 2 nights I left after one.

Review 25:Location was ok.

Review 26:very dirty (we had the green house) Cold water tap was NOT working Old shabby beds and old stuff This is NO Bed & Breakfast because there was no Breakfast at all!!! Just some old crackers and bags of chips , how do I make a cup of coffee with only a COFFIEPAD !!!! So 100 Pound for 1 Night is toooo muchhh 50 is a fair better price !!!

Review 27:The pool was ok

Review 28:Friendly, Spotless, so handy for Windsor. Spent a lovely relaxing evening in the garden next to the pool. Our well behaved dogs were made very welcome by the owners. Will definitely stop again.

Review 29:It would be nice to see some updates, our sheets had holes in them. The owners very expensive cars were parked outside, although clean, the decor and furnishings were a little tired. Breakfast not good, why have UHT milk when there is a fridge in the room?

Review 30:From the moment we arrived we were made to feel totally at home. The room was large and very very comfortable. The pool was so crystal clear and the gardens beautiful. The owner even offered to take us and our dogs to the airport. There was plenty of food and everything we could have wanted was supplied. This must be the best place we have ever stayed and would 100% recommend it to anyone

Review 31:You could hear everything in the next door room , including people going to the toilet. If you book, get one of the detached rooms.

Review 32:The poolside and friendliness for the welcome.

Review 33:The owner was not welcoming. They even suspect us not returning the towels when they were actually not provided. Breakfast was very minimal in the room. In one if the rooms, hardly anything was provided. The owner didn't bother to explain about the room. We felt like bothering them paying and staying at their B&B

Review 34:Not a lot

Review 35:Cold tap didn't work, breakfast was self service cereals, we were not aware the dog couldn't stay in the room alone and so couldn't take her (this is the only reason we booked this hotel), we stayed in a chalet, alright but damp. Checkout was too early at 9.30 am.

Review 36:The fact that we had our own entrance.

Review 37:Disgusting accommodation with a notice in room which states if guest wets bed or vomits the guest will be expe ted to pay for cleaning service. This was not encouraging. Mould on walls and smelled dreadful

Review 38:Breakfast, just two choices of cereal, to follow prawn cocktail crisps, cream crackers, chocolate biscuit ? Offer of drinks good tea, coffee, hot chocolate, couple cartons orange juice. Marmalade, but what was it for? On suit tight fitting smelt of drains.

Review 39:Clean, comfortable bed, pleasant décor. Peaceful and pleasant stay.

Review 40:A little cramped. Shower head could do with replacing. Not a fan of self catering but it was a port in a storm. Maybe I'm too fussy ;-)

Review 41:Availability, and facilities I did not get a chance to accept the use of.

Review 42:Great place to stay and because all the rooms are ground floor, it's a great place for people needing wheelchair access etc. (Mention that on booking form). Lovely friendly owners and staff. Nice light, bright room with modern decor, microwave, kettle, tv, little fridge, iron, trouser press, wifi, shower. Everything you need. The garden/pool area is regularly maintained, lovely and relaxing. Like a microclimate of it's very own. It's also quiet, shielded from the main road. Staff clean everyday and top up the 'continental breakfast' items, teabags, sugar, milk, coffee etc in the room. I think some of the previous reviews are unfair. If you do have a problem, politely tell the owners and I'm sure they'll put it right. The price is about right for this area. This place is highly recommended.

Review 43:Was expecting a continental breakfast; I don't consider a packet of Alpen and a couple of pre wrapped buns as being such. Also ended up paying more than was advertised on Booking.com.

Review 44:Quiet

Review 45:The room was more suited to workmen than a couple on leisure. Double room booked, yet given a twin. Room was small, dirty, with flaking paint. En suite was dirty and had rust on all fittings. The room was noisy and not at all comfortable. We booked because of a 7.1 customer rating, but we found a facility much less than that. This guest house did not compete with the budget priced hotels, which are basic but clean. We would have expected to pay much less than £70/night for similar rooms. Very disappointed.

Review 46:The location was good for our purpose.

Review 47:Myself & my daughter had a lovely nights stay, it was very homely & friendly, if were ever in the area again we would definitely like to stay again.

Review 48:Very cold in the room. Paid for a double and got a twin room and we're told we had to push them together ourselves and still paid the same price. We booked 10 mins before arrival! Surely they would've known the doubles were sold out

Review 49:Cute and quaint. Swimming pool is a plus and very nice location with parking.

Review 50:The shower in room 14 is not thermostatically set and is very difficult to get right. Other rooms had a socket that didn't work. Some rooms are very tight, very limited space

Review 51:The rooms were fairly clean and comfortable,

Review 52:Disadvantages: -Bathroom had fungi and was not well maintained -Dirty bedding (stains on sheets) -Morning cleaning, after 8:30 the cleaner was knocking the door each 15 minutes, even though I told her that we don't want cleaning - quality of cleaning - BREAKFAST WAS A JOKE, described as continental included UHT milk, half year old cereal, pack of biscuits, butter, jam and small orange juice. I didn't even touch the breakfast.

Review 53:advantages: Nice owner Low price Good location and connection with the city centre and Heathrow airport

Review 54:The bathroom was a little snug.

Review 55:We required a place with early morning check in, close to public transport links, and easy access to the motorway network and the Waterside fitted the bill perfectly.

Review 56:Noisey in the morning got a knock on door just after 9. Asked if i wanted room serviced i said i was still in bed. I got back layer and room had not been cleaned or bed made. I stayed two nights, not good if you go to a function and want a lay in. Also check out 0930 which is rediculous.

Review 57:Looked nice

Review 58:The struggle to find parking. The clutter of useless cheap decorations and furniture in the room, grounds and pool area. The constant noise running water noise. The cleaner banging on the door at 9 am to clean despite our insistence we did not want cleaning. The long walk through the entire place, rain or shine, with luggage to the sheds. Awful pillows and duvets.

Review 59:Separate self catering 'cottages'. Pleasant gardens and private patio. The proximity to LHR and location on a bus route.

Review 60:My son and I slept in room 6 round the back of the property. The out buildings have flat roofs I found the room had a strong musty smell. Because of this I could not sleep . I booked this bed breakfast as it had a pool in the hope for good weather.

Review 61:My three daughters had a better room than me to the front of the house. But due to the age of the buildings again the en-suite bathroom had a smell of musty which was not pleasant. It was clean and staff were nice it just wasn't the best that I have stayed in . I would just say its fairly cheap so may be this reflects to age of .the rooms

Review 62:from the moment we arrived we were made welcome. staff were helpful, room clean, nothing was too much trouble, would go there again, when in the area. frances & roy webber.

Review 63:It's a little bit out of the way, but with a bus stop right outside it doesn't really matter.

Review 64:When we arrived we couldn't believe it! We had booked the room only a few days before and it looked too good to be true....except it was true! Great place, i would definitely stay there again no hesitation.

Review 65:We had reserved our family room, for 4 people, over 3 months prior to the date of our stay. On arrival, we were informed that another family were in our room and they were only able to accommodate 2 of us. Having taken our son and daughter, to spend the night at his rented house, we returned to discover our ensuite toilet had not been cleaned, since the previous guest. Standard of breakfast also very poor.

Review 66:The place was cute and comfortable but the breakfast was just cereal and milk and juice. There was no fruit or much else. There were old half-eaten crackers in the drawer.

Review 67:nothing to dislike

Review 68:fantastic place to stay

Review 69:basic

Review 70:Helpful staff

Review 71:Friendly staff, nice accommodation

Review 79:Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.

Review 80:The wifi didn't work in our room.

Review 82:Very beautiful lovely b&b'will stay longer next time

Review 83:Location was perfect for attending graduation at Brunel university

Review 84:Noisy boiler or water system that kept me awake.
