The stone-built Frourio Apartments is located in the medieval castle of Chios, across from the historic St. George church, 650 feet from Chios Port. It offers self-catered accommodation with free Wi-Fi and terrace overlooking the scenic streets.
Featuring wrought iron furnishings and stone walls, all the air-conditioned apartments at the Frourio open out to a courtyard. Each has a kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave and dining area. All apartments offer a satellite TV.

Review 1：The building is not winterised. I had three heaters going and it was still cold It's not really an apartment - it's a suite. It is not serviced. There is no sitting room, but the bedroom is nice The kitchen was a jumble of odd glasses, plates etc and generally a bit cheap. The stove was rusty and the vent hood covered in grimy dusty A bit of maintenance is definitely in order - closet door broken, nothing for the shower head to attach to, etc. little stuff but that's not what was advertised In checking future dates I see it is consistently the most expensive place in town. Not justified

Even when we arrived at the port of Chios at 3 am they were happy to let us in and show us to our apartment/room. We were also treated with local sweets and cakes, a very kind gesture on behalf of the staff. Any arranges/additions to our stay was communicated effectively and promptly!

Review 9：Inside the appartment is very good. Balcony / terrace very poor; not providing any view of the old castle or harbour, no view at all of pittoresque streets ( as was advertised)
Review 10：Had a lot of trouble finding it because the address did not appear on the English version of the booking.com website. Needed a few more items in the kitchen such as a decent knife and board for cutting bread and vegetables. Also there were no instructions about the hot water service switches that needed to be turned on so we were forced to have cold showers on Day 1 until this problem got sorted out.
Review 11：Very pleasant, spacious, clean, modern and tastefully renovated. Great to have parking available out front (but the streets are very narrow).
Review 12：Cash only, which I wasn't aware of, but owner was accommodating. If you don't need to be in Chios town, there are far better places and hotels on the island. Basic walk-up apartment with kitchenette, but no services or breakfast. Be aware that Greek ferries and Turkish ones are at opposite ends of the pier. Local travel agents (who sell tickets) were unaware of this, as was the manager. If you are going to Cesme, you must pass through a customs building and passport control.

Review 36：This was the 4th place we stayed in during our 2 week visit to Chios. Frourio's was a great value in one of the quietest parts of Chios town yet only a few steps from the harbour and market. The apartment was very spacious, clean and recently renovated to the highest standard. Superb on all counts.
Review 37：No hot water. Since you are inside the castle streets are too narrow to park. Cleaning lady who checks you in has no English.
