Reviews for The Pinfold
Review 1:Nice welcome on a cold rainy day. The room was warm, nicely decorated and comfortable. There was plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Owner had gone to the trouble of decorating the rooms for the Christmas season which was a nice touch.
Review 2:On my arrival a note pinned to door to ring this number as at hairdressers. On arrival gave myself key and back to hairdressers-no orientation to room which is seperate from main residence. In brief tap in bathroom not working, no hairdryer, no landlady presence or hospitality. A rip off at £70 for room only.
Review 3:There's nothing not to like !
Review 4:Amazing location and the room was perfect ! A really nice relaxing weekend spent and would highly recommend to anyone !!
Review 5:A little expensive to say no breakfast is included.
Review 6:Gorgeous cottage set in a beautiful area. Everything you could need in the room. Great choice of tea/coffee but could of done with more biscuits to say we stayed two nights ? (Only got one pack each). I forgot my shampoo and conditioner but they had some in the bathroom along with body wash which was fantastic for my fine hair. Would definitely return.
Review 7:As this was a guest house there was no breakfast included.
Review 8:Beautiful room recently renovated in a period style. Superbly comfy bed and had a superb nights sleep.
Review 9:There is nothing not to like about The Pinfold!
Review 10:Very comfortable and stylish, great attention to detail - lovely crisp, white bed linen, plenty of fluffy towels, excellent shower, generous amount of tea and coffee, plenty of hanging space and hangers - all in a delightful old building in a quiet and historic part of town just a stone's throw from the High Street. Outstanding!
Review 11:A quaint little hotel; welcoming staff and just what we were after. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the main town centre and easily accessible with car parks nearby!!
Review 12:Beautifully decorated, super location yet tucked away from any hustle and bustle. Very accommodating staff allowing us to check out a bit later than normal due to going to a wedding.
Review 13:Everything about this stay was fab! The room we had is one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in! We had our own separate entrance on the side of the property with our own little seating area outside so we felt like we were completely on our own. The room itself was so cosy and had everything in there that you needed. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Review 14:It was very difficult to find and not easy to see the name of the house. I felt isolated, because I hardly saw the owner. I had misunderstood the fact that breakfast was not included and that, for me, made it overpriced. There was virtually no room service.
Review 15:The room was very comfortable. It was also quite clean.
Review 16:The price of the rooms is brilliant considering how beautifully and individually decorated they are. We had a wonderful time staying here, and had both rooms during our stay due to limited availability. The kingsize was particularly amazing with a whole relaxing area, making it feel like a suite! Everything in the rooms is of top quality and a lot of thought has gone into the decor. Breakfast not being served didn't bother us at all as there are so many lovely cafes a stone's throw from The Pinfold. It also meant we were more at leisure to get up when we wanted. The free access to a secure parking space was the icing on the cake - fabulous idea.
Review 17:Would be nice to have a breakfast option, but with a cafe over the road, you cant complain!
Review 18:What a little Gem, amazing! Beautiful room, only thing would be it is quite noisy and with guests having a key, they can bang loudly. But no reflection on the Guest House at All
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:Great location for exploring Skipton. Good choice of coffee shops and restaurants just a stones throw away. Lovely furnishings and comfy bed. Reasonably priced.
Review 21:The unavoidable church chimes - would be heard from anywhere on town though. No breakfast on offer, but property next door very good with arrangement with this property
Review 22:This is a modest property that delivers serious value for money. Corrinne is excellent in providing support
Review 23:The wifi was a bit iffy, probably due to the thick stone walls, but it did work.
Review 24:Beautiful room, lovely town, very friendly and helpful staff. They do not serve breakfast, but there are plenty of great places to eat nearby.
Review 25:- no breakfast, but there is a kettle and a good choice of hot drinks in the room - the wifi didn't work
Review 26:- lovely location, right in the centre - the room we were staying in was beautiful
Review 27:I could not put it down in any way shape or form.
Review 28:The room we had was very secluded and looked over a beautiful garden. The room its self was gorgeous, very modern with a chic twist and very well presented. Absolutely faultless :) I will be coming back x
Review 29:Lovely rooms, very well decorated, exceptionally clean and comfortable, all the facilities you could need, even wine glasses..can not fault The Pinfold....Great location....Well recommended..
Review 30:Noisy bin men. Wish I could have stayed another night.
Review 31:Proximity to town centre, lovely room. I like the idea of room only with no breakfast (so I'm not subsidising people's fry-up). I wish there were more. Café over the road for croissant and coffee. Secure parking very close.
Review 32:Ideally, brewing facilities could be topped up daily. Heating came on around 3am which woke us because the room got too hot.
Review 33:Beautiful room, quiet and comfortable.
Review 34:Cash only, would have been a problem if I didn't realise. No breakfast provided, business recently started, so teething problems maybe?
Review 35:Good for leisure, not business travellers
Review 36:The room was quite small, there were only 2 bedrooms, there was also building work going on. Privacy was limited due to the bedroom and bathroom window being opposite to the pub next door.
Review 37:The room was very clean, the location of the Pinfold was close to all amenities, within walking distance to train station
Review 38:nothin
Review 39:The room was amazing.my partner commented all it needed was a little kitchenette and he'd be happy here. Very comfortable. Just wish I had Time to spend more time in the room and surrounding area. was at a wedding for the weekend but would to love to visit again.
Review 40:The room has been beautifully refurbished. We had the Airedale which had a large bed and v comfortable easy chair and sofa. Spacious, fresh and easily warmed up. Nice shower room-not a lot of space but everything you need.
Review 41:We went walking in the dales then arrived at the pinfold to a warm welcome after a long day. The bed was really comfy and the accommodation was in the perfect location for popping out for tea.
Review 42:We stayed for two nights in a cosy ensuite at the Pinfold. On arrival, the room was set out to give us very warm welcome (including festive Christmas decorations!). A characterful property in a lovely little town. Highly recommended!
Review 43:For the price we paid, little things like towels being changed and more milk sachets with the tea/coffee facilities so we could use them on the second day too would have been appreciated. I felt for the price of the room, which was absolutely lovely, little things like this should have been included.
Review 44:The acommodation itself was beautiful, really well furnished, comftarble and with all the amenaties we needed. Refurbished modern bathroom, gorgeous country style furnishings, wooden beams and window shutters gave the place a real relaxed cottage feel. We stayed fo two nights and were pleased with not only the quality of the room but also its location and the quality of the places we found to eat in Skipton. Relatively cheap but really nice food in the pubs and restaurants, which were all less than 5 minutes away. The acommodation is in a prime location for all the best things to do in Skipton: the castle, the canal, the high street and pubs are all within a few minutes walk. The roads are quiet at night, as was the house itself - the only thing that kept us awake was the church bells going off every 15 minutes! Myself and my partner really enjoyed out stay and will no doubt be back in the summer for another visit to the pinfold.
Review 45:The room has been renovated and restored to retain it's original features. The room still had it's newness appeal, a nice comfy bed, (I slept like a log) tea and coffee facilities, wifi, selection of books and magazines.
Review 46:Church bells rang a bit too often for a light sleeper like me
Review 47:Extremely friendly and helpul landlady. Room was decorated to a high standard with modern bathroom suite. Comfortable and cosy. Within a couple of minutes walk of Skipton high street.
Review 48:Nothing, everything was great.
Review 49:The room was lovely, I don't normally enjoy staying away with work but my room was so cosy and homely that I didn't mind this time! Facilties and quality of room on a par or better than most established hotel chains for a far more reasonable price. No breakfast available but not an issue as there are loads of cafes nearby. Would definitely stay here again if in Skipton.
Review 50:You don't do breakfast which, I knew when I booked, but it would have been nice.
Review 51:The rustic and quirky feel of the place. The location was excellent.
Review 52:The ensuite to the neighbouring room unfortunately backed onto the room I stayed in. Sound proofing needs addressing! Pity breakfast was not provided, however neighbouring restuarant Napiers did a cracking breakfast for £8.50.
Review 53:The room itself was warm, very clean and had good facilities to make tea/coffee. Nice touch to have a hairdryer and toiletries provided. Very cosy bed, off the main road which provided a good basis for a good nights sleep. Safe environment.
Review 54:Fortunately, I am quite deaf when I remove my hearing aids. Unfortunately my wife's hearing is very good. "The Bells Toll" My wife said she heard the church bell strike every hour through the night which meant a disturbed night for her. I myself never heard a thing and had a blissful sleep. In consolation, I got up and made the tea. We will return (with ear plugs for her)
Review 55:This was an Ideal place to stay the weekend, the room was excellent with of plenty of character and very roomy. The location could have not been any better as it was close to shops, restaurant's and pubs, it was also very easy to get out of town and do a bit of traveling to nearby towns.
Review 56:The noise from the next door neighbours room was quite loud but more to do with the persons rather than the room. The pub near to the pinfold called Napier offered to cook us a breakfast for both mornings for £9 each. It was a very poor breakfast in our opinion and it was too expensive for the lack of quality. We found a much cheaper and better one for the Sunday Morning in town.
Review 57:Central location which was close to all the major food establishments and the town centre. Charming little cottage style rooms.
Review 58:Lovely roomwarm welcome.Very clean.Would definitely recommend.
