Reviews for Raintrees Resort

Review 1:The queen bed mattress I personally think needs replacing. Got a sore back. The toilets need to be cleaned a bit better. A stain at the bottom which bleach should fix.

Review 2:It was really close to the beach and playground with a privacy. The pool had a water slide which the kids and adults used a lot.

Review 3:Unit badly needed a makeover. Throw out the old mat near the T.V. Curtains had a few holes but for the price and location for Christmas. We were still happy.

Review 4:Great spot for families. Short walk to local Moffatt Beach and Good Dining. Gardens were beautiful. Quiet location especially around Christmas time. Undercover parking. Staff were more than helpful. Clean pools and BBQ'S.

Review 5:Some running repairs needed. Stairs from garage, up to unit and up to bedrooms tough for us oldies! Will check re stairs next time.

Review 6:Close proximity to beach and creek. Natural bush setting. Great for our grandchildren.

Review 7:The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable but other than that we enjoyed our stay

Review 8:Loved the two pools which was good if one was crowded u could use the other.Close to the beach and coffee shops

Review 9:The spa only lasts for 4-5 minutes and you have to keep getting out to turn it back on. It needs to go for 15 minutes. Also, if there are empty car spaces, it would be nice to be offered one for additional guests.

Review 10:The pool is great and the room was really good and it wasn't too busy.

Review 11:The staff treated you like family, we felt very much at home and comfortable. Great location, everything we needed was a walk or a very short drive away. Absolutely loved our cabin/apartment, best value for money!!

Review 12:This was a piece of paradise so close to the sea, estuary, bakery, brilliant Post Shop full of goodies! Our unit was exactly what we wanted with lots of space and outdoor living.

Review 13:Needed blackout blinds and fly screens on all bedroom windows.

Review 14:Great location right next to beach with Cafes around the corner. Love waking up to the sound of the surf!

Review 15:Little things like mould in the shower, mould on the roof, dust on the window screens etc.

Review 16:Can't beat the location and easy access to the beach. My son loved the slide into the pool. Staff were very friendly.

Review 17:Loved the freshwater pool. Loved the extra touches in our room eg. CD player with CDS ..books to read.,extra items in the kitchen ,washing machine and dryer in room Staff were very obliging nothing too much trouble ...underground secure parking a bonus ....beautifully marked with number of unit ...also loved the knowledge of the area provided by staff.

Review 18:The location was perfect for our family. The car stayed parked as we went to the beach in the morning, the pool in the afternoon and we were very happy in the spacious apartment.

Review 19:Our washing machine didn't work great and I couldn't get the draw back in! That's it

Review 20:Great value for money. could do with a little revamp but we loved the location and the kids loved the heated pool and slide.

Review 21:only thing bad i could say is that we ran out of toilet paper and couldn't find any spare and also the shower in the main bathroom apparently was terrible, hence everyone used ensuite shower

Review 22:it was agreat relaxed place

Review 23:Neighbours on end of street with wooden skate ramp spoilt the peaceful amenity of the place.

Review 24:Nice location, although specific unit needs some updating.

Review 25:The website didn't really explain that the apartments are privately owned and the picture was completely different to the unit we stayed in. I didn't like having locked cupboards everywhere, and there was little to no food storage in the kitchen. Noisy midnight Ibises!

Review 26:The pool was great for the kids. The cafes at Moffatt Beach ensured good coffee.

Review 27:The location was amazing - so close to the beach and public park/reserve/playground as well as being surrounded by beautiful trees and birdsong. If you don't have a car, location was very handy for bus stops too. Easy drive from Brisbane and all locations in Sunshine Coast and the Resort just had such a great low key feel about it. Would definitely come back again -Unit 6 is one of the nice 2 bed townhouses at the resort.

Review 28:Rugs should be in a bin . Could do with new washing machine and more efficient dryer poor quality even for short use. One of the beds in poor condition. I would take my own doona,

Review 29:Location . Good manager. Ground level unit. Great for young children. Would stay again

Review 30:the townhouse we had needed some maintenance, the paint on the walls had bubbled up due to water getting in..

Review 31:the staff are friendly and helpful. great location

Review 32:The only downside is was that there wasn't much natural light in the room. In fairness, this is due to the lovely rainforest surrounds.

Review 33:Great staff, facilities and accommodation. Our kids LOVE the waterslide. Perfect location right near the beach, park and food places.

Review 34:No bad experience, but it's a short walk to the flags at Dicky Beach, not safe to swim at Moffatt, though kids like the lagoon. So if you want surf outside your door, not for you.

Review 35:Unit was freshly painted with new bathrooms. We used the barbecue facilities and kids loved the pool. Loved using the park next to the beach.

Review 36:Nothing!

Review 37:This is the third time I have stayed at Raintrees and it is my favourite place to be based in Caloundra. It is extremely private, quiet, and the units are very well equipped.....extremely homely. I love the little path leading to Moffat Beach. My family are surfers and they are at the best surf beach in Caloundra within minutes.

Review 38:the overall cleanliness was not good, we had to wash up the frypan before we could use it as it was filthy, also the curtains in the main room need replacing as do the. cupboard doors in the ensuite. A little bit of love in unit 4 would improve it a lot.

Review 39:The location was amazing, had our 2 year old granddaughter with us and she had a fantastic time as did we.

Review 40:The internal of the unit was old had never been updated it was definitely showing is 30+ years. 1 TV for 3 bed unit, not 1 plate matched in kitchen, no air-con, when toilet flushed screeched like an air-horn had gone off. Patios / courtyards were unable to be used due to rain.

Review 41:The pool and facilities were nice, unfortunately the weather was bad so not really able to use

Review 42:The room smelt 'musty & old' and could do with some TLC & a really good spring clean, but was comfy & I enjoyed my stay.

Review 43:The staff and the excellent position

Review 44:all good except the doors were hard to open and couldn't work out the t.v. only minor though lovely place

Review 45:great location right near beach and restaurants. Kerry and ian managers very nice and helpful. feels like home away from home. This was our 3rd stay and I would stay there again. Maleny close for lunch and shopping.

Review 46:We stayed for four days for the oz tag comp.two mums with their 10 yr. Old daughters and myself nan and pop.we were in unit 34, 3 brm apart.it was just everything you could want.spotless, very roomy, excell.position.Thankyou Kerry you were so helpfull, we will be back.

Review 47:Whilst the 3 bedroom unit was well appointed it was out-dated and could have done with a freshening face lift.

Review 48:We had a balcony overlooking the Rainforest between the Resort and the beach. Watching the antics of the birds in the tree canopy was fun and the atmosphere was very soothing.

Review 49:I can only go on our unit, everyone complained about the beds, it's the only reason I would stay in that particular unit

Review 50:Great location, convenience as far as small food stores go, close enough to the beach, nice, helpful staff

Review 51:stifling in our unit in middle of summer with no airconditioning. Make sure you book one of the few ones with aircon. screens very dirty and carpet quite sticky. limited room in shower/bath with young children. Main pool was heated even in summer - made it very uninviting on hot days.

Review 52:proximity to everything - beach/pool/cafes. great size kitchen. good space in unit with 3 young children. Two pools in the resort was great for choice. Clean barbecue and pool areas.

Review 53:The unit is virtually the same as two years ago. The furniture and bathroom need some upgrading. The lounge suite very uncomfortable, the dining table was "sticky". I think the outside area would benefit with a small clothesline. A couple of portable fans would also be a bonus.

Review 54:My husband and I travelled with our two grandchildren. The facilities and staff were excellent. The location is the best around on the Sunshine Coast. Coincidentally we were in unit 4 the same unit we had a couple of years ago. I do have some negative remarks, but we will be back.

Review 55:Parking was secure but not close to apartment.

Review 56:It was so quiet despite being the 'peak season'. Often we had the pool to ourselves! There was a little convenience store and bakery a tiny walk away and the staff were so polite, accommodating and friendly.

Review 57:The furniture in the unit was uncomfortable. The lounge was 2, 2 seater cane lounges, now where to stretch out. The cane coffee table at some point had a glass top , but now broken. Can't put cups on an uneven cane surface. The main bedroom had an old TV with poor picture quality and the mattress was really hard. The owners of this unit need to update their furniture!

Review 58:The managers are lovely, friendly , accommodating people. Can't say enough nice things about them! The complex was clean & well maintained !

Review 59:The townhouse was smaller than the photos suggested online with older decor and ensuite bathroom (for the price I would have expected more modern facilities). The townhouse could have been cleaner (foraging under couches for missing toys was a gamble). The oven door did not seal properly. There was an issue with the screen door not locking but this was resolved by the staff.

Review 60:Great location, close to the beach, playgrounds, cafes and restaurants. The pool was sheltered from the wind and very pleasant. There was a child gate on the stairs in our townhouse which was very handy with a toddler. Kitchen was a great size and comfortable bedding. Friendly staff and the grounds were very well maintained. Overall a very relaxing location.

Review 61:Accomodation was in need of renovation bathrooms were outdated and showing signs of age Beds in smaller rooms were uncomfortable Lock on door was difficult to lock Staff were aware of this but it had not been fixed TV remotes did not work Unable to connect to wifi as no instructions in information folder Only 1 car space per unit and locations of space not adjacent to unit

Review 62:The location Staff were friendly Secured complex

Review 63:Loved it all.

Review 64:Our town house was spacious and extremely well positioned. The outlook from the front patio was into the rainforest. We could hear the kookaburras laughing and were able to see scrub turkeys with their chicks when we walked through the forest path to the beach and public park. The back patio overlooked the pool and barbeque area. Again it was a delightful outlook. The pool was great with a water slide. Our children loved it. The unit was furnished in good quality modern furniture and was very comfortable.

Review 65:Some of the room inclusions really need updating - kettle, iron, washing machine... no remote for DVD player and a bit of maintenance was needed here and there e.g. door locks/latches.

Review 66:Great location - our apartment had direct private access to the beach. The pool, waterslide & BBQ facilities are excellent, especially if you have small children.

Review 67:Downstairs toilet would have been appreciated. Also wouldn't have been able to carry all cases up 3 flights of stairs to upstairs bedroom from car park without my husband. My mother was with us and we had her case as well.

Review 68:Beautiful setting. Lovely pools. Cooler pool was a bonus as had no water slide so was a peaceful place to soak. Well appointed apartment. Good airflow. No aircon but fans were great.

Review 69:The furniture and some of the fixtures were a bit shabby. Nothing that a few dollars could not fix

Review 70:The location. The fact you can come and go as you please. Good security.

Review 71:hard pillows half light bulbs blown difficulty getting out of back door shower rose needs replacing climbing up and down stairs (not good for elderly)

Review 72:Calm peaceful atmosphere Close proximity to beach Close to shops and Cafes Pools

Review 73:curtains in bedroom let to much light in as the ground lights were on till late. Not keen on two flights of steps. The 2nd bedroom was far to small no where even to put luggage. For the price we thought the unit was on the small side. Our garage space was very small

Review 74:Location, heated pool

Review 75:The kitchen appliances and utensils could do with a update everything is mix and match and not much hot water available to

Review 76:The pool was great as is the location staff were friendly and easy carparking very good rates for a great family holiday

Review 77:nothing...everything was positive.

Review 78:Raintrees is hidden away in a beautiful rainforest and is only a 5 minute walk along a tree lined path to beautiful Moffat .....home to an amazing surf beach and a choice of quality eating establishments Raintrees hits location, location, location every time.

Review 79:Had to enter via back door and not front. Difficult to get out of parking spot.

Review 80:Great location, good facilities, friendly staff, great place for family holiday

Review 81:The crockery and kitchen ware needed updating in the particular room we were in (they are all individually owned) as all plates and cups had chips and there was no salad bowl etc.

Review 82:The beach and a park with BBQ and playground is straight out in front of hotel. Bakery and convenience store right next door too. The pool and slide are really great (and heated) and our 3 year old son loved it. Staff are really friendly and helpfull.

Review 83:The unit were great but being picky the beds are old and uncomfortable for larger people.

Review 84:The kids loved the pool and slide. There is also a great playground just outside the units on the beach. The unit had washing machine and dyer which was really convenient with children. Managers were helpful & knowledgeable. We would certain stay again.

Review 85:The stairs in the room, if you have young children you really need a safety gate on the stairs.

Review 86:Loved the location, the pools, BBQ's, 2 bathrooms and the peace and quiet.

Review 87:The warm pool wasn't warm.

Review 88:Step out the front door and your in a mini rainforest. A couple of mintues walk and your on the beach. We only stayed a few days (wished it was more) so relaxing listening to the birds out the window, so tranquil. We had a bunch of (noisy) kids with us but it wasn't a problem.

Review 89:Spacious. Two houses for two nights, 13 people. Less than $80 each. Has washing machine/dryers. Excellent for cleaning up after TM. Nice decor. Owners are fabulous.

Review 90:One bedroom very small for a double, patio looked over pool area or front path. Private outlook onto the rainforest outlook would have been nice.

Review 91:Comfortable, close to beach, lovely staff. Roomy living area.

Review 92:Immediate beach access, close to riverside walks and other nice outdoor things to do, rooms set up very well for young kids, facilities not fancy but very functional making you feel comfortable using everything, heating was started before we arrived without asking, intuitive staff one step ahead of the guests with excellent people skills

Review 93:The tea cups are black stained needs to be replaced.

Review 94:A perfect place to relax.

Review 95:So close to the beach and shops

Review 96:Lots of stairs, but that can't be helped.

Review 97:Location. pool with slide for the youngest. Facilities in unit
