Reviews for La Promenade

Review 1:The pool was freezing being in the shade most of the day and the one bedroom unit was a studio with no privacy

Review 2:Being so close to the water and a great view.

Review 3:Slamming doors and noisy guests. But that was only one bad day out of a two week stay. So not too bad.

Review 4:Location. So close to everything, shops, beaches, restaurants. Just wonderful.

Review 5:Kitchenette is very small, no stove, had to remove the microwave from bench top to get the cooker plate out.

Review 6:The resort is located right on the water!

Review 7:Room odour very offensive, spa in middle of room- no privacy from outside. Have paid the same rate for a self contained unit with beach -front views on Gold coast.

Review 8:View & position

Review 9:My concerns were the blinds were old and not very good at blocking morning sun. The airconditioner was very noisy. And the cooking facilities were very limited.

Review 10:The location, friendly staff, easy access to the unit etc. . I liked the view even though it was partly over the town.

Review 11:The roof top had no shelter on it so u couldn't stay for long . The two tv's didn't work the best. No ice in ice trays and no cold water in the refrigerator.

Review 12:The beb was very comfortable. Handy for all the shops.

Review 13:Our apartment looked over the street and there was quite a bit of traffic noise with the windows open. There is an air conditioner if you close windows in hot weather. Also there did not appear to be any wifi. Having travelled overseas and always able to get free wifi in accomodation, I don't understand why it is not generally available in Australia and certainly not free. Wifi has become a fairly basic travel requirement.

Review 14:Great location looking over the boardwalk and in close proximity to Bullcock St with its shops and restaurants. About a 10 minute walk to King's Beach. We were in 301 so had a nice view down the side of the building to the water. There was also access to a private roof area. There are basic self catering facilities including a fridge, microwave and two electric hot plates as well as crockery, cutlery and basic pots and cooking utensils.

Review 15:Bathtub/spa had the great view but was in the middle of the lounge room. A bit noisy, thought someone was making a cuppa early in the morning in our room, but must have been the apartment next door as all others in our apartment were still asleep.

Review 16:Location, great view from the room. Had all the necessities and was tidy. A nice attempt to keep the apartment looking new with modern furniture.

Review 17:The location was perfect. I felt relaxed as soon as I walked in. The water views, the balcony, the assortment of local shops, the markets on the Sunday in Caloundra. We had a lovely time. The spa in the room was also a bonus.

Review 18:No internet. Small and poky swimming pool. Silly spa bath in room. Overall feeling of old fashioned. Not great value for money

Review 19:Location and views are excellent. Spacious and clean rooms

Review 20:The floors were somewhat sticky and maybe could have done with a mop.

Review 21:Room had a beautiful view and location. Loved being able to look right out onto the water only metres away and enjoyed the spa being right in the middle of the room.

Review 22:Loved the water views, and the spa bath was a lovely addition on a rainy evening. It was great to have a restaurant handy for breakfast downstairs, as well. Our room was spacious and we are considering coming back some time for a longer stay! Short walk to the main street - this place had it all, for us.

Review 23:I can't complain.

Review 24:We really loved the ocean view from our room! Once we checked in and poped into the room, I started screaming because the scenery from the balcony was so amaizing! My husband was also very happy too, he told me that the room was more than great. The hotel is water fronted so we could hear the sound of wave and feel the bleeze all the time. We enjoyed the spa bath too. The shower had strong water pressure. The hotel is located in middle of shops and restaurants. It is very difficult to find a care park around this area but you will get free car park if you stay the hotel. How generous!

Review 25:the web site says on site parking, no mention that this parking for my unit is not under cover, I would not have stayed there if I knew this especially at this tome of year with the thunder storms

Review 26:Nothing.

Review 27:Fantastic view over the water, very quiet and clean. Staff were very friendly and happy. Great location with everything you need in a short walking distance. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony and a few ships sailing by. We lunched at Le Promenade down stairs and we enjoyed the food and scenery. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Will return!

Review 28:Clean, fresh smelling and awesome view over the water. Dated decor but hey, I didn't pay huge bucks so for the money, it was great. The pool was barely worth mentioning, just a tiny splash pool in a shady alcove near reception. Not welcoming but the beach is virtually at the door anyway.

Review 29:Advertised as executive apartment but was on ground floor adjacent to noisy lift and foyer. Privacy poor due to gaps in balcony blinds and security poor as all ground floor apartments shared open waterfront common area.

Review 30:Good location

Review 31:The location and view from balcony was great could not get any closed to the water.- Brilliant Close to restaurants and coffee shops great little cafe below on ground floor and excellent Thai restaurant across the road.

Review 32:Car park still had a car in it when we arrived. Used another car park advised staff. Did not know when park was empty to move our car back. Had to return from long walk to move car when other guests arrived. No probs just an inconvenience to the new guests.

Review 33:View. Handy for shops and walking. Had a wonderful time. Watched the boats and the birds. Loved the courtesy from the staff.

Review 34:While I don't use them having a spa bath between the bed and the lounge (no wall) was a little strange

Review 35:The view. Almost able to dangle our feet in the water from our balcony

Review 36:Pool was a bit small but this was not an issue really for this trip Waiters did not take orders at the table in the eatery on the boardwalk right next to the hotel

Review 37:Closeness to the water Eateries nearby on the water Staff lady was very accommodating and friendly Refurbishment

Review 38:The bed was awful, carpark ground would have been more comfortable. Unit was very clean and tidy but overall very tired.

Review 39:Great location, although noisy early Sunday mornings

Review 40:Small amount if traffic noise but given it was a long weekend and music festival was expected. 2 nd night, closed Windows and put aircon on and was all good

Review 41:Very clean, friendly staff, great location. Room request with view was filled.

Review 42:Need to cover the outside downstairs park light, paint it black, it's too bright all night inside unit 104 to see out or be on balcony at night

Review 43:Friendly reception, peaceful sound of the water below. Loved the ship activity out in the Pumicestone Passage nearby. The separate bathroom and toilet rooms, the spa and own washer and dryer. Friendly staff at café below, best views and close to walk everywhere.

Review 44:Our apartment was very bland. No paintings, no lamps, no rugs etc, making it feel very stark & uncomfortable. Parking was tight.

Review 45:Loved the position

Review 46:The pool is very small and not suitable for swimming. It's more of a plunge pool and only good for children to play in.

Review 47:Quiet, beautiful water views and close to the town.

Review 48:Great location, staff were very accommodating when we needed to change the dates of our stay at the last minute. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the view is amazing. Great value for money.

Review 49:They currently do not offer Wi-Fi - but I hear they are working on it

Review 50:Stayed in 2 different waterfront apartments - one on the 2nd floor and one on the top floor (which had its own roof patio). Rooms are as beautiful as the photos! Spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The mattresses were also stellar - we slept so well on them and woke up every morning naturally without feeling any bit of grogginess.

Review 51:Wasn't told no desk staff after 5. As phone was flat took 45 mins to gain entry on arrival at 5pm. Frustrating.

Review 52:Great location .caught fish from balcony.could walk the waterside to cafes etc.

Review 53:No room service. But not really an issue

Review 54:From when we walked in, the service and attention was absolutely wonderful. The room was just like the picture when I booked online. Perfect.

Review 55:I was disappointed that the cafe closed so early on the Saturday . I had arranged for friends to meet me there for a drink but it was closed.

Review 56:I loved the view ...looking out at the passage was just beautiful. It was centrally located for my needs

Review 57:Underground parking had a maximum height of 1.95 metres, which meant our Prado with roof racks didn't fit, so had to be left on street. That was the only negative though!! And would still stay there again, regardless :)

Review 58:Everything was lovely, great location.

Review 59:We like to sleep in, and the noise at the reception and lift was very loud unfortunately starting from 7. The batteries in the remote for the DVD need replacing.

Review 60:The location, apartment was very 'modern', clean and the bed very comfortable. i love the spa in the loungeroom and the ground floor outside seating was wonderful.

Review 61:Would have liked WIFI as I had to go elsewhere to use my lap top to check mail from home also my work schedules back in Texas. The TV was on the small size but we didn't watch much TV anyway

Review 62:Having a separate toilet not in the ensuite. Just loved the view so much also location as we walked all over the town area. Staff were great, very clean unit.

Review 63:Air conditioner blew hot air regardless of temp setting. There are no windows only a sliding door to the patio which isn't safe to leave open - very uncomfortable night spent in August.

Review 64:Location is great. Close to everything and the water view is awesome

Review 65:The room had been nicely refurbished but the paintwork made the room quite dark. We looked at another room on the ground floor which was very light and bright and would probably ask for that one next time

Review 66:This was our third stay at La Promenade. We choose it for its great location and convenience to a family member's retirement village. We also prefer this older style apartment block to the many multi-storey complexes around Caloundra. This time we stayed in a ground floor apartment overlooking the Passage, with beautiful views of the birdlife and glorious skies. It was a much better room than the first floor apartment we had on two previous occasions, which had not yet been renovated and had rather shabby furniture. We would certainly return.

Review 67:all was great, there is nothing bad I can say.

Review 68:Our stay was amazing and we will be decently back to stay with you again, we thank you for the lovely friendly greetings from your staff.

Review 69:As we stayed three nights it would have been helpful if the Tea/coffee/milk had of been replenished at least once.

Review 70:Love the location close to everything needed for a great stay in Caloundra

Review 71:The rooftop seemed bare and there was no shade, also the bbq didn't work so we couldn't cook our bbq breakfast.

Review 72:The view was amazing! The room was nice and spacious. Loved the spa but could only fit 1 person at a time.

Review 73:Dining and lounge furniture was not comfortable especially for being an executive suite and costing $180 per night.

Review 74:Location was great, bed was comfortable

Review 75:This unit had a lot of street noise, the blinds had to be drawn so that I wasn't being overlooked by units opposite. Maybe a unit facing the water would have reduced these problems.

Review 76:I liked the central location and position on the boardwalk with the restaurant next door. Spa bath a winner/

Review 77:The only thing I could fault is the roof top balcony having bird poo allover the floor and on the chairs as there is no roofing cover up there.

Review 78:The apartment and the views were amazing! We were so happy once we hadarrived and viewed the room as a lot of photo's look better than therooms do in real life. We stayed in room 302 if I remember correctly. Icannot wait to book my next weekend away here ! Perfect location, closeto the shops and Sunday Markets and the roof top balcony was beautiful.

Review 79:We have stayed here numerous times over many years but our room this time was very "tired "and badly in need of upgrading.- particularly the furniture ' '

Review 80:Breathtaking views and being able to wake up in the morning to see that view from that comfy bed outstanding! Breakfast in the cafe downstairs was delicious and the service down there was so fast!

Review 81:Coffee table, bedside tables etc in poor condition

Review 82:Great position and room to move. You can watch the ships go by from the balcony. Well stocked kitchen.

Review 83:All good, except furnishings a little tired in our unit.

Review 84:The location of the resort is great, right on the boardwalk along water, even better if you have a water view unit. Our unit was very spacious & the spa a treat. Great coffee across road. Would stay again.

Review 85:The location is perfect - you can park the car and walk everywhere. Our room was comfortable and stylish and made our weekend extremely memorable. The restaurant downstairs is exceptional.

Review 86:Our room 201 had a great view but overlooked a main street and was a bit noisy

Review 87:Great location, friendly staff that went the extra mile, beautiful water view and extremely comfortable apartment.

Review 88:The child upstairs running on the floor above us and the walls are not sound proof at all, noisy

Review 89:The view of the water and the layout being open plan.

Review 90:Room was very dirty, blinds were broken. Bed was not comfortable. Roof had mould on it.

Review 91:Having a spa in the room was great. The location was excellent, so close to everything.

Review 92:We were disappointed with the allocated parking as it was too narrow and the roof too low. It was a squeeze to get in and out of the car and the tailgate could not fully open.

Review 93:The room was great and we were impressed with the waters edge location and the views from our room.

Review 94:There were no negatives to my 8 day stay.

Review 95:I liked everything about my stay. Staff, location, comfort and price. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to all. Walking distance to everything.

Review 96:The location is convenient to the centre of Caloundra, although our room faced the street and truck noise in the morning woke us. We would choose the river side next time.

Review 97:We loved staying at La Promenade. Even though we arrived on Sunday when reception was closed it was easy to check in by phone. The room had a lovely view, was spacious and clean and bed was comfortable.

Review 98:We loved the wide views from the balcony down Pumicestone Passage and across the bar to the ocean - you feel that you could throw a fishing line into the water. Located at the beginning of the boardwalk we enjoyed walks along Bulcock Beach to Caloundra Headland. At the "back door" there is good walking access to shops and the Main Street of Caloundra.

Review 99:The children's room did not have the best security. And there was a ant nest in the bath.

Review 100:We liked that we could walk to Hogs Breath cafe and the view to wake up to.We will be back.

Review 101:The bright light outside. The lack of privacy with the patio proximity to the restaurant. The slippery shower floor. Only two towels? The impossible to use shampoo dispensers.

Review 102:Locality to restaurants and shopping.

Review 103:The room may not have been used for a while as had a musty smell to it. Whilst the lounge modern, it was most uncomfortable. We couldn't find the tv remote for the bedroom tv.

Review 104:Views wonderful and location perfect. Bed perfect for comfort. Air conditioner lovely. Perfect for self catering. Very clean.

Review 105:On the ground floor, all tenants had access to front of our room, no privacy, smokers, noisy, wood rot in trims, no door to maid bedroom, car park taken by other tenant even tho we were not permitted to take another.

Review 106:Location and view of the water

Review 107:not enough comfort in living room. no good for longer stays say 3 to 4 days ..cooking facilities poor ...

Review 108:location, under cover parking. fantastic view.

Review 109:That our room was beside the roadside & was very noisy There was no carpark space under the building & had to park at the back of the building which was unsafe. When we got to our room there was a half toilet roll on the holder it was used by other guests. Not enough towels in the room Very disappointed with our stay

Review 110:That it was beside the sea

Review 111:Spa in corner, really needs to be more private. No division of bedroom from lounge. No TV in 2nd bedroom. Would have liked more privacy(not happy to use spa while nana was watching TV).

Review 112:Beautiful views to die for. Perfect position to everything.

Review 113:Our apartment was showing signs of aging but was being planned for future renovation.

Review 114:This resort is excellently located with eateries, shops and clubs in easy walking distance. The staff are good at their job with an easy friendly attitude making for an enjoyable stay.

Review 115:A digital clock in the bedroom area would be helpful.

Review 116:Unit 203 was clean and had a great view. The bed was very comfortable. Leanne and Wendy were just delightful! Most welcoming and incredibly helpful!

Review 117:Refurbishment is a bit dodgy. Couch is really cheap and uncomfy and not enough room to sit for four guests (only one couch) and no chair.

Review 118:Location is superb. Café downstairs is excellent.

Review 119:Arrived on a Sunday. Closed. You have to read a small sign on the glassdoor on how to get in. I didn't see the sign, and went to the onsiteCafe to ask how to get in. They were very helpful, but annoyed that theyalways have to explain to people that they have to ring the number on asmall sign on the door. I rang that number and got given a code numberto open a Safe next to the door to find my key. I could have taken allthe keys in that Safe!

Review 120:Position only

Review 121:Internally the unit was terrible all broken walls plastered and not painted blinds all not working and broken, spa broken, not good condition. When I told staff they said well you booked the cheap one!

Review 122:Position of complex

Review 123:The bathroom needs some work.. Water goes EVERYWHERE when you shower...! And the shower head wasn't great. Also if it sleeps 4 people really needed a second lounge.

Review 124:The view is cracking !!

Review 125:Was a bit concerned about the tiles in he bathroom. When wet, they were extremely slippery. Water pressure wasn't good also.

Review 126:Location and value for money were top of our list.

Review 127:That there were 4 cockroaches hanging around lounge room and dining area which was pretty gross!!! I hate dirty cockroaches!!!

Review 128:Location was great, if we had a fishing rod we would have thrown a line off the balcony!

Review 129:Only thing that would have toped our stay, would off been brecky in bed, but apart from that. Really enjoyed our stay :)

Review 130:Clean, tidy, relaxing and quiet Central to all needs

Review 131:no security screens I don't like airconditioning too noisy for me but I do like to leave a door open would have been perfect if there had been security doors

Review 132:the location and the views

Review 133:The Spa was a bit of a waste of time, too small and in the middle of the room. The bed had a rubber sheet on it, very noisy. No door on the bedroom, was more of a studio apartment really.

Review 134:The apartment was lovely and spacious. The View, what can I say, gorgeous. This trip was for a relax and that's what we did, spent more time on the balcony relaxing and taking in the scenery than anything, just what I needed.

Review 135:More a studio than an executive one bedroom. Flimsy cheap furniture. Minimalism at its cold, sterile worst. Redeeming features were the view and a comfortable bed.

Review 136:Loved the location, view, cleanliness.

Review 137:Bit cold and had to buy blanket - found out that blankets were being dry cleaned and staff would have provided had they been asked.

Review 138:Close to everything we needed and quiet which is what we wanted.

Review 139:We felt for this price (in comparison with the competition) we could have been provided with Wi Fi and Breakfast Voucher perhaps

Review 140:Location, cleanliness and comfort. As the weather was particularly bad on that Saturday - and we were not sure if we could make it to Caloundra - we were kindly offered a full refund if we couldn't make it. Much appreciated.
