Review 1：Nobody on reception when we arrived, a bar tender let us in and then refused to let us have our room until we paid him cash, room very small and archived, non en-suit, the toilet was on the floor below, bathroom couldn't find and nobody around to ask, had to shower at a family members house who we had gone to visit, when leaving nobody on reception again and had to get the cleaner to book us out and hand write a receipt , over all a very bad experience and wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy

Review 4：The hotel is very run down and not very clean . The pictures of the inside of the hotel are are not what the hotel looks like when you arrive the rooms are run down and very damp and cold . The hotel in its day must have been very good but not today . On our arrival we had to pay by cash there was no card machine working and then I went to the run down bar there was no draft beer just cans and a few bottles of spirits and that was it This hotel was the worst place that we have ever stayed in . Never again.

Review 9：Every night of me and my other half staying here, there were no beer in the pump. They were selling cans of beer for £3 per drink. 330ml can was £3, a bit expensive for a small can. The hotel charges a bit too much for the rooms as half of the things in the hotel that are advertised, dont even exist. Charge £5 for a full english and to be honest it isn't worth the price. Could go down the road and pay an extra pound and get a breakfast that is totally worth it.

There is nothing but your scabby room, a stinking bar downstairs & a fly ridden breakfast room! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone! This was a realy bad experience and none of what the guy told uswas made clear in this hotels booking rules, I am very worried abuthanding over card details to be photo-copied I reported this to my bankand stoped my card asap. Please be aware of this operation somthing isnot quite right at this hotel-

Review 27：I booked this hotel through booking.com. on arrival i was told that they have not taken the payment and i have to pay before checking in. Few days later i realised that they have charged me twice. after 100 calls and emails to booking.com and the hotel i managed to get my money back after 4-5 weeks. they made me go through so much hassle to get my money back. The staff are extremely rude, and unhelpful. specially the receptionist called gayan. The area is also not safe. we ware told by locals not to go out at night time. over all if you don't want any trouble stay away from this hotel.

Review 33：3.3 is wrong my rating is more like 0!! To start off we got there at the opening time of 2pm and there was nobody there! The person opening the hotel was over 30 minutes late and when we actually got in there they were working on the fire alarms so nothing but loud screaching from the alarms and the lobby looks like a skip! Very rude and under qualified staff, didn't have a clue what they were doing, only gave us a normal £40 room at first and told us that we were lying about getting a deluxe room on offer from booking, denied that they even used booking.com and then had to phone the boss, at least 8 people at the reception complaining at the time and the so called "manager" didn't have a clue what he was doing, left us waiting for 30 minutes after saying he will sort us out in a moment, carried on seeing to every other guest until my partner went up to the desk and then he was rude enough to reply with "what are you even on about?" when my partner asked when he was going to see to us! They say they have parking facilities yet there is a very small space capable of only just getting one car in as if there is two cars the first one cant even get out and is blocked in and thats £10 a day!! The room was absolutely disgusting, the toilet seat fell off and the lock on the toilet door came off in our hand, the main door to our "nice room" was kept shut with a front door lock which would of only needed someone to be a bit heavy handed and the door would of flung open, the walls were paper thin too, me and my partner didnt feel safe at all that night! To top it all off the so called "manager" (who should get the sack!) was out in the pub we went to getting heavily intoxicated, thought nothing off it as we presumed he was off duty and then when we got back to the hotel he was sat behind the desk less than 30 minutes after leaving the pub drunk! Anybody reading this review stay as far away from this hotel as possible!

Review 36：Locked front door and ringing every time you wanted to get in. 3rd floor up and room very basic, just a bed and a sink, a TV that didn't work, very small window with view which was okay but was suppose to be a deluxe room? Toilet up the hall and leaking shower on floor. Very shabby. Slats on bed came apart just from sitting on it. Reception staff tried to con another £56 by saying I had paid wrong through booking.com. We booked for 2 nights bit just stayed one.

Review 39：This was the dirtiest and most unorganised place we have ever witnessed. Rooms were not ready, door was broken and could not be locked. Curtains were falling off track and could not be closed. Breakfast was an hour late n cold and nasty. Reception and corridors filthy as were bathroom. No shower and tiles falling off en suite walls. Noise level was terrible and although paid for wi fi no access despite complaining. Breakfast had hair in it, felt sick. Room had to be changed twice but still dirty. No sheets or cleaning was done in two days we stayed there. Hotel staff were not friendly except for security guard who tried his best to make our breakfast as no other member of staff available. Would never go back there or recommend. Other guests felt the same! Very very disapointed.

Review 41：The staff are really welcome, Guy and Chris really made the stay very welcome... Breakfast was great and the room was more value than what I paid. People that stay here and slate it are clearly people that expect to pay bottom dollar prices and expect 5 star luxury. You certainly get what you pay for and the hotel has made many changes since all the recent bad reviews. I would strongly recommend this hotel for young families!

Review 42：The whole place was absolutely terrible, there was paint/wallpaper peeling off the walls, there was a half empty coke car left on our locker, the bath & skin was disgusting with dirt. The curtain pole feel down when we open the curtains. The doors of the rooms were like they had been kicked? Had to leave tap run for 27 mins before we got hot water, then the towels were all stained. The TV bracket was bearing hanging on the wall with all the cables hanging down. When we turner on the heater, it smelt so back we thought it would go on fire. When I went to pay they tried to changed me £99 rather than the £64 I have reserved it at. This place looks fantastic on the internet but is a totally different thing when your there. Please do not stay here, I can't understand how it's open, how did it get 3 stars.

Review 43：I paid for a cot in the room that never arrived, had to wait 20 minutes on the front step at 10pm with my young children to be let in, despite ringing the doorbell numerous times,and was eventually let in by another guest who happened to be passing by the door! The curtains were hanging off the rail and didn't shut properly and the provided towels smelt like stale cigarette smoke! Overall not happy!

Check- in took ages, even though we’d booked via booking .com a month before, the Manager and other staff member were trying to find the correct room, eventually got room 28. The reserved car parking is just on the frontage outside the hotel garage doors.2. The bedroom looked like the photos on website, ie colour scheme, red pillows white sheets & quilt cover, but not ironed. Freshly painted walls and ceiling, new burgundy carpet, but window would not close or lock. View of builder’s yard and church clock, quite handy as bedroom clock needs new battery!, although I had booked a “Deluxe Room With Sea View”. New TV aerial cable needed (I bought one from Poundland to get TV working).2 out of 4 wall sockets damaged, 6 gang extension dangling from TV mains cable, putting strain on plug and socket. (Fire safety contravention) Smoke detector missing from ceiling fitting (Fire safety contravention) Cups needed washing, full of dust and sand. No information on bar timings , breakfast timings routine or anything written down anywhere.3. Bathroom newly tiled, but needs the new grout cleaning from the tiles, wood panelled ceiling and door still covered in tobacco stains, just needs a wipe down with a wet cloth. 2 x brand new bath towels, 2 x brand new hand towels, 1 x brand new face cloth (?) but no bath mat for floor. Mismatched 1980s coloured bathroom suite (coffee bath, peach wc & sink) with new WC seat, that needs tightening up as it slides around on the pan and a bottle of bleach needed to remove stains in pan. Ok, its budget, but 2 x mini soaps, no other bath products, glasses or plastic cups? Window broken/damaged, stuck open with seals dangling in the wind and locking handle stuck open even if window had been able to close properly.4.

Review 73：I booked this through Booking.com nothing was mention about the sharing bathroom and it's even said deluxe ocean view room but we got conned to the rooms that no en-suite with no change bedding and dirty floor leaking wash sink curtain does not close up pillow with dirty mark door not close properly window with birds poo totally disgusting and scary. Booking.com need to looking into this website and update the detail pictures and cost of staying there, because I think we should not paid that price to you.

Someone came into my room at 7am (cleaner) although I think they were more scared than me. Breakfast teapot was filthy dirty with grime all over the lid and I'm not usually one to complain - it's being renovated at the moment but it's no excuse for such poor standards.
