Reviews for Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort, Goa

Review 1:Cost of food in the hotel was overpriced compared to outside restaurants. The food could be of a higher quality but overall it was ok.

Review 2:Great atmosphere in the hotel and friendly staff!

Review 3:The fact that they have staff who are can't hear & speak is something that really was great!! Its an excellent initiative taken up by them & kudos to the management for having incorporated this in a hospitality industry!

Review 4:I can't tell. Maybe a terrace or living room where to get Internet and work on mails... Internet complimentary for only one device.

Review 5:Staff helpful since the first minute. Clean and calm. Rooms are nice, with bathroom as in European standards. Close to the beach.

Review 6:On the expensive side. Rooms are now a little dated especially for the price they are charging.

Review 7:excellent staff especially service and restaurant staff. Front Desk Staff have scope to be better in terms of felicitation and response time and courteousness but Service staff more than made up for the cold front desk. Location is 11 on 10. breakfast was excellent on all days.

Review 8:I had breakfast the day I arrived and it was worse buffet I ever had in my life. Felt like I'm eating something left over from 3 years ago.

Review 9:I didn't like anything of the hotel, they made us to pay for new year party which we didn't attend.

Review 10:Forced to book for the most awful nye 'gala' dinner that cost6k+. The alcohol quality was awful. It was torturous to sit through- weran from there to a nearby pub to salvage our New year. Had to fightfor a refund. Avoid going there if you are planning a new year break.Free wifi only on one device - that too it didn't work well - theshacks on the beach had better wifi. Housekeeping - would take a coupleof calls to send a wine opener - ps : don't touch the complimentarywine. It is awful. Will think twice before staying in another lemontree property.

Review 11:Location and decor

Review 12:The dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Couldn't sleep the night, literally had to leave. The floor of my room hadn't been swept, the showers and bathroom had dirty floors, cushions looked like they'd been used to clean floors, just a god awful experience, and I was only there to sleep for a night. Filthy property, won't recommend to anyone.

Review 13:Nothing

Review 14:Room size is pretty small but then again it is a boutique hotel.

Review 15:Very good location. Walking distance from the main Candolim beach road. Friendly staff and great services. Well maintained and one of the best Asian restaurants in 'Republic of Noodles' is an added bonus.

Review 16:Taxes and and a "service charge" for staff added about 40% to the base price so the final bill was a nasty surprise. Spa and restaurant also quote prices without tax - we should have read the small print that mentioned these things

Review 17:Everything except the TV worked well and staff were friendly. Decor and layout of the hotel were better than most in Candolim and it's only 250 m from the sea

Review 18:Standard rooms small.Poolside small in relation to capacity.Noise intrusive from other nearby establishments. At time of visit repairs taking place which disrupted peace.Overpriced.

Review 19:Helpful,friendly and polite staff

Review 20:Some services were slow, got charged for meals that were not eaten/cooked properly. But overall very good.

Review 21:Staff were friendly, pool was idyllic - lovely tropical setting and the swim up bar was a fab touch!

Review 22:Hotel by itself does not live upto the standards of the brands, was given a horrible room during check-in and upon request was transferred to another room, which was smelling of some insecticide medicine and new paint. Had no choice but put up with all this. Overall a waste of money.

Review 23:Staff were helpful, drivers outside the hotel were decent and helped us check the place. Staff were too good and welcoming, even during breakfast took care of us really well. Only thing good about the hotel is the staff.

Review 24:The people renting the bikes outside the resort. Getting in and out of resort sometimes proved nightmare.

Review 25:The staff especially the ones serving at Cafe Citrus.

Review 26:Everything was perfect.

Review 27:Excellent place to relax & unwind....reasonably close to the beach, it has excellent facilities which are well maintained i.e. pool & gym. The breakfast spread was good & the kitchen team helped us in serving Jain options. Overall enjoyed our stay at the venue & will definitely visit again.

Review 28:Not enough English speaking staff. The ones who are fluent are great though.

Review 29:The staff are extremely helpful and very quick to rectify any errors in ordering food, or any usual things that can sometimes go wrong. They made the stay feel that little bit more special.

Review 30:The food is OK but very high priced.

Review 31:Location is very close to all the good beaches and markets. The staff is very very supportive and you can also rent a scooter just outside. Really enjoyed the stay with my family.

Review 32:The rate charged at checkout was more than what was quoted at booking . Com

Review 33:Excellent service There were many differently a led staff in the restaurant who went out of their way to provide excellent service. The breakfast was lovely with a good spread including freshly made waffles.t

Review 34:There was construction on half the hotel. The pool was great but all you heard were workers yelling, sawing, hammering, and general labor (All day long). Taxis outside the gate were a total rip off and the hotel car is double the price of that. Not much activity planned for guests (or any), no live music, neither treadmill worked in the fitness center.

Review 35:Staff was great, all around. Shower and bathroom was nice, good room with very comfy bed, walk to the beach (not the cleanest walk), the pool at the hotel is gorgeous, republic of noodles is really good. Outside of breakfast citrus restaurant isn't really worth the time. The heritage room pool area you can hear the ocean waves but you cant use that pool unless you book the heritage room/s. Cant say enough about the staff though, super helpful and will go out of their way to get you want you need. Puran and Ravi were exceptional. Couples friendly but there were plenty of kids for the few people staying there.

Review 36:Rooms are just OK to not so OK. Break fast could have been better.

Review 37:Location is OK, close to beach, restaurants, & shops. Not very far from Panaji & old Goa. Good swimming pool.

Review 38:None

Review 39:Outstanding breakfast served till 12 noon each day, excellent swimming pool and spa, superb service and a very spacious, quiet room with highly efficient air conditioning.

Review 40:No wifi after 30 mts free , Make it free , it's not going to cost anything which is accountable in long run

Review 41:Everything , location, ambience, room comfort, cleanliness and the food

Review 42:Nothing at all!

Review 43:The location, the architecture and the 'non-living' environment was terrific but more than all this was the lovely service especially from over 20 'handicapped' ie: deaf/dumb waiters- very touching and warm! Thank you!

Review 44:The billing for the accommodation is not clear at all. When booking I thought I had a price to pay of 61,000 R but on check out it was 79,000 which is a big difference

Review 45:Excellent hotel facilities, comfortable, clean and friendly

Review 46:No atmosphere. Despite hotel being full we hardly saw anyone else apart from at breakfast. Two evenings there was live music which was very poor.

Review 47:Location and friendly staff.

Review 48:The beds were not comfortable as the mattress was lumpy. Not very clear about the imposition of service charge of over 10 percent or so besides other mandatory taxes and whether this is legally permissible?

Review 49:Good location- market and restaurants close by, Pleasant staff, Excellent breakfast, Quiet rooms on the backside, Close to the beach.

Review 50:No where to dry our clothes after washing. Various extra taxes on each drink or food bought (over four times the cost in supermarket)

Review 51:Peace, Staff, Breakfast, Swimming Pool, Available sunbeds with towels.

Review 52:Internal room decor needs a refresh otherwise no other negatives.

Review 53:Great ambience with a large pool, hammocks and coconut trees in the central courtyard. Easy access to the beach. Gives a perfect holiday feel. Located on the happening Candolim-Calungute street which has it's own charm in the evenings. Anjuna beach is about 30 mins drive and Night Clubs like LPK (10 mins), SinQ (3 mins) & Club cabana (20 mins) are an easy commute from the hotel. 'Red wok' - Thai resto-bar attached to the hotel serves amazing Thai food. Try their Veggie noodles (I can't recollect the name on the menu).

Review 54:The New Year party was a damp squib since we stayed from 29th Dec'14 to 1st Jan'15. The lady Master of Ceremonies was well below par in her performance. The rooms we got had no real view. Our kid's room had a wall outside it (Room No.217). The property is a bit short on green space and hence a bit constrictive. Not much you can do inside the hotel other than lounge around the pool.

Review 55:The location is in the heart of Candolim. The beach is a 10 min walking distance away. Lots of restaurants at a stone's throw. The area is buzzing with tourists, yet when you are inside the Hotel there is a enough peace & calm. Got parking for my car inside the property. Breakfast is from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, which was quite a pleasant surprise for late risers. The breakfast spread and quality was goood.

Review 56:Location was fantastic...Staff was excellent..Have to appreciate the Hotel for employing differently abled people to show how good they can be...Food was excellent

Review 57:The internet connection was probably the only thing that wasn't fantastic. You could browse for maybe half hour before it kicked you off and you'd have to re log on.

Review 58:Lovely property, well set out and really close to the beach...just a short walk. The staff were really friendly and the overall standard of the room was very high.

Review 59:Very touristic surrounding with aggressive vendors. The beach was not perfect, but okay.

Review 60:Nice resort, nice pool. Outstanding, polite staff.

Review 61:It's more like a three star, but rated as 4-star

Review 62:Nice small property not far from the beach

Review 63:The staff were exceptional, especially the deaf people who went out of their way to make our stay a good one We will definitely go back there

Review 64:Breakfast average Consistently having power cuts

Review 65:Room comfort

Review 66:Rooms small in size in old wing,

Review 67:The location is good, proximity to beach. Food was good, the staff @ restaurant were too good

Review 68:Super competent staff; brilliant location (250 mts from the Candolim beach); lovely pool; beautiful property overall.

Review 69:The location & authentic Portugal type resort.

Review 70:picture taken on arrival and passport photo copy

Review 71:resort have strange rules , unprofesional staff, millions of taxes

Review 72:bed and transport from tu airport

Review 73:Nothing to complain about.

Review 74:Attitude of Staff was excellent and welcoming

Review 75:Fungus and dampness and also

Review 76:The staff

Review 77:Everything was super , we stayed in the heritage section , the breakfast was amazing overall a super experience .

Review 78:Everything was just perfect!!

Review 79:Everything!!.... It was an awesome stay... Wonderful staff awesome location... Will b coming bk soon...

Review 80:Rooms smelled of smoke and the construction noise was bad

Review 81:Food and pool

Review 82:Very friendly staff always ready to help with a smile. Cleanliness of the property is to be applauded. The oriental restaurant food was yummy.

Review 83:the breakfast needs to improve

Review 84:The pool and the whole feel of the resort

Review 85:None i could see or feel

Review 86:Cleanliness, prompt service, compliant staff, excellent food. Breakfast till 12 noon. Bikes for rent just outside the gate.

Review 87:tsaulise interneti kiirus

Review 88:Hea asukoht, suured ja mugavad toad/voodid, puhas, hea teenindus

Review 89:No free WiFi in rooms.

Review 90:Relaxing atmosphere with different restaurants on site for solo traveller

Review 91:Comfortable bed and large room

Review 92:Our bed was a combination of twin bed converted into double. Also there was no bath, only a shower.

Review 93:Super involved chef, chef vinayak was brilliant.

Review 94:Rooms are comfortable, good house keeping staff. Close to the beach and good location.

Review 95:Staff are very friendly.

Review 96:Overpowering citrus smell in room

Review 97:Very easy beach access Staff were super friendly/knowledgable Nice pool, well maintained

Review 98:Bed, WC, Mosquito problem

Review 99:Service, Food

Review 100:hotel location, amneteties ,comfort,staff

Review 101:Too much noise during the night

Review 102:Great restaurant on the premises, Republic of noodles

Review 103:Rooms are very cramped and clumsy no space at all no balcony sea is far off very small property could not enjoy and not with paying this much amount 6000 per day for such poor infrastructure

Review 104:We had an excellent stay. The staff overall were very helpful & professional. Sumit & Rohit in the management team were one of the best management teams that I have seen . On our first night we were upgraded to the Heritage Suite & on the next 2 nights to the Heritage Studio. It was an excellent part of our vacation & we will definitely be back. One more point worth mentioning is the voluntary ' no tipping ' policy being followed by all the staff .

Review 105:The WI-Fe system could have been open. It was a stress. All the trash along the path to Beach. Take a half day for a man to clean it all.

Review 106:Lots of restaurants along the street With excellent and good low cost meals.

Review 107:The room service - staff weren't always very helpful and the foodwasn't great. Need to be offered choice when ordering drinks E.G. weordered gin & tonics - would have been happy with Blue Riband butthe barman gave us Bombay Sapphire without warning (we didn't askfor it) - and we got a very, surprisingly expensive bill. Staff need tomake the bar prices clearer.

Review 108:Wonderful swimming pool. Great breakfast - lots of choice and we enjoyedhaving the Indian food as well as the omelettes One particular member ofstaff was very good - he served us at breakfast a few times and at thebar. He helped us to meet other guests who were there for the samewedding we were attending. We wish we'd asked for his name!

Review 109:The internet was for 30mins twice a day and terribly slow. My son couldn't finish his homework. Nearly all hotels bars and cafe offer free wifi 24/7 for some reason this hotel doesn't

Review 110:It was like Australia beach out the back of the hotel and Marrakech from the front, it had the ideal location. There are much cheaper hotels close by, but the Lemontree makes the perfect introduction to Goa...

Review 111:Could be a bit more inexpensive, considering the space. More insect repellent needed when raining!

Review 112:Very good experience, comforting and homely. Unlike a big hotel chain or large resort, simple pleasures and rustic charm. Great food!

Review 113:Bathrooms and room floor cd be more cleaner. Some lamps were not functioning in the room. Expensive restaurants if eating a-la-carte.

Review 114:The hotel provided all the amenities that a traveller needs. Good rooms and fast room and housekeeping service. Front desk was also very attentive. Breakfast was the best, keep it up.

Review 115:Tax, Tax, Tax.... Which is not clear when you book this hotel. End uppaying loads of tax!!!. Also the staff did not mention to us that ourpackage included all meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Emailconfirmation had only breakfast in it.

Review 116:Location, Location, Location.... Everything about this Hotel isperfect!!!!

Review 117:The access to the beach goes through an area that is little bit run-downand with some rubbish on the sides. It should be improved although itmight be that the case that there's nothing that the hotel can doabout it. The surroundings are also very crowded with a lot of shops andrestaurants along the street.

Review 118:The friendliness of the staff and the facilities of the hotel ingeneral.

Review 119:We absolutely loved the food at this resort. The grounds/pool werelovely. Friendly staff could not be more helpful and courteous.. Wouldtotally recommend the hotel, especially to relax and soak up a differentside of India.

Review 120:We were properly pampered. positive staff, especially the restaurant staff. Great bed. Great place. An oasis in the middle of the chaotic streets of candolim.

Review 121:Can't think of anything.

Review 122:Everything - friendly and courteous staff, good food, great, relaxing ambiance.

Review 123:I would suggest a common room or leisure room with board games maybe

Review 124:Very responsive staff, comfortable and clean room and comfortable grounds

Review 125:Norhing

Review 126:Super hotel for the price

Review 127:There are various good options available at the same price... I can say better than this

Review 128:Facilities and staff attitudes were fantastic.

Review 129:EXPENSIVE BUT WE DID STAY OVER A PEAK PERIOD

Review 130:EXCELLENT LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF, GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE

Review 131:lobby. Drab.

Review 132:The restaurant. Noodles republic. It served excellent food with a great service. We liked it immensely.
