Hotel Centrale is located in the fully refurbished and restored noble palace Lazio De Quiros, in the historic center of Alcamo, easily reachable from Palermo and Trapani.
The hotel will be your ideal base from to reach the most important tourist sites, like Segesta, Erice, Trapani, Selinunte and Palermo, and some beautiful seaside resorts, like the Zingaro Natural Reserve. The hotel provides dinghy cruises to several of these locations, and also to the Egadi Islands. The fishing town of Scopello, the crowed sandy beach of Castellammare del Golfo, are also nearby.
A shuttle service is available (on request) to reach the wonderful beach of Alcamo Marina.

Review 1：The only comment is minor. At breakfast there appears to be a bowl of hard boiled eggs. In fact, they are fresh eggs and behind the bowl is an egg cooker. Each of the two mornings we were there someone assumed the eggs were cooked and got a rude surprise on breaking the shell to peal the egg. A sign (with instructions) would be helpful!

Review 8：The room was extremely comfortable, clean and private.All facilities modern and effective to maintain comfort-good food. Air-conditioned which was essential to feeling relaxed. The Staff are incredibly friendly, polite and very helpful. Spoke good English, which was helpful for me.

Review 26：Our room was extremely spacious with full length doors and shutters leading to a balcony overlooking the street. The hotel is close to the main square with reserved on street parking outside the front of the hotel. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which had a good reasonably price menu. The food was good quality and the service good. Breakfast was plentiful with good choices.

Review 27：Limited parking, hotel does have aproximately 5 reserved yellow places with a possibility to use blue payed ones (free between 1pm-4pm and 6pm-8am)

Review 28：Hotel is located in the Alcamo city centre; very helpful and nice staff trying to help with anything you ask for, they can also recommend or make a trip plan around local countryside for you, just feel free to ask; rooms are clean with a daily service, TV (mostly with italian channels) and free WiFi is available; tipical mediterranean breakfast with plenty of sweets and cakes, you can also find some toasts, fresh bread, juice made of real fruits (not out of box one) and some meat and cheese as well, the best piece is a cup of coffee prepared in local bar which really makes the day perfect from its very begining :-)

Review 30：What we liked the most was the staff. They would go out of their way to help us with any questions we had with positive results. They are extremely nice, wonderful, beautiful, good-hearted people. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. We got to meet the owner of the hotel and he was also friendly and down-to-earth. We enjoyed talking with Elisa and the other girls at the front desk. We loved sweet Gabriela at the restaurant and also Chef Rocco; they made us feel like family. Review 33：The narrow lanes around the hotel can provide some excitement for drivers. However, the hotel provides several parking spaces right outside by postioning boards which are placed to prevent unauthorised parking. They are then moved to let guests park. Great system. The hotel is well located, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and boiled eggs a welcome addition. As always in Sicily, the staff were most helpful and courteous.

Review 37：Alcamo is a medium size town on a hill a few miles from the lovely Gulf of Castellammare and only a 25 minute-drive away from the airport of Palermo. For doing sightseeing and hanging out on beaches in Western Sicily it is the perfect place to stay, since it is in a central position, very close to the highway and all the interesting sites like Segesta, Erice, Selinunte, Mozia etc. as well as many beautiful beaches are within reach in less than an hour. Of course you should keep in mind that it is right in the historic center of Alcamo, it is no seaside hotel, however the sea can be seen from some balconies and the nearest beach is just a 10 min-drive away. The hospitality of the hotel staff is outstanding, they go out of their way to make everyone feel at home. Breakfast is abundant for Italy, a lot of excellent freshmade cakes and standard cereal, ham, eggs etc. Little bread, I noticed, however the bakery across the street offers the best Sicilian bread, not to mention the bar on the corner with the greatest, freshest and cheapest take-away food we found in the entire area. The restaurant of Hotel Centrale is very good, excellent fish, vegetables and other, but prices are rather high relative to the price of the rooms. The rooms are large, the bathrooms well equipped and very clean. Aircondition works very well. Hotel Centrale deserves its 4 stars by far and offers an incredibly low room rate relative to value.

Review 38：The hotel was modern and very clean. It was in the town centre and it was easy to park nearby. The rooms had a.c. and were very well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to go to the beach (nearest Alcamo Marina at only 7 km) but there were several other options to visit around. It was closed to the airport. I was concerned I booked a hotel inland instead of the beach but we were very happy of it afterwards, as the village is very nice and places near the beach didn't look as nice.

Review 39：We spend there 5 days and all of them were just great. Hotel is in centre of beautiful old city. We do not have any problem with parking as every day there was free parking place just in front of hotel. Staff was nice.

Review 40：Arrived by road from Corleone direction so really difficult to navigate through the narrow one way streets as satnav not working amongst buildings. Apparently much easier from the motorway direction!!

Review 53：Both the breakfast restaurant waiters nor the cleaners seemed to care tosmile. The hotel is in Alcamo, which on its own does not have much tooffer. The hotel has only 3/4 parking bays reserved and therefore areeasily filled up by the hotel guests. We were given a room that lookedpart of an apartment complex, having to go up one floor of steps toarrive to the room. This is cumbersome when having many bags and smallkids to carry around.

Review 54：The female receptionist was always smiling and very helpful. Thebreakfast was good and plentiful. The breakfast restaurant managerwas helpful too. The hotel is just a turn away from the village'smain street.

Review 56：Great place to stay. Alcamo is a city that's worth a look, despite what the major travel books say. The main piazza is very nice to have a glass of wine and gelato. Very nice breaky, excellent restaurant to have dinner (try their fish couscous, I couldn't get enough!), free parking. And despite what others have reviewed, this place isn't noisy at all. An excellent value for money! And quite luxurious in fact. Many wineries around and the secondary roads to Corleone and around are truly a must.

Review 57：It's reccomendable rather as a business hotel than as a holiday hotel. Alcamo is not a very nice location, but it is however 3 km from the beach.

The hotel iscomfortable and spacious and is located in the heart of Alcamo -- oneof the best locations in Sicily. My Zio Gaspere and Zia Bina liveright across the street from the hotel, which made it veryconvenient. We'll be back soon.
