Reviews for The Coach House Skipton

Review 1:Was initially confused at the set up of hotel as you had to check in over the road.Hotel looked shabby from outside, flowers in window box dead, main entrance door difficult to open, hallway cluttered with a number of large bags of dirty laundry which were there throughout our short stay. Coffee machine in the room but no kettle! Felt that the charge of £120 a night should have included breakfast.

Review 2:Location and comfy bed.

Review 3:Nothing really, though to improve even further I wish the mattress had been a proper double one rather than two singles - I woke up several times having fallen into the gap! Breakfast was a little unorganised though they got there in the end. Only had a small snack however a lot more available if you had the time to stay which we didn't

Review 4:Staff were wonderful, room fabulous, they had thought of everything - even hair straighteners available, cleansing wipes in the bathroom - wonderful bath and hot water throughout our stay.

Review 5:Bit expensive considering breakfast was not included. Bath sealant mouldy needed replacing.

Review 6:Skipton is a lovely little town with plenty of bars and restaurants for a two day break. Bed really comfortable and staff very pleasant.

Review 7:Some bar noise, as room over the hotel bar, but it was a Saturday night, so what else would you expect.

Review 8:Lovely large room with a very comfortable 6 foot bed. Very deep bath, luxurious towels and quite opulent furnishings. Great location for Skipton centre.

Review 9:No advice before hand that there was no lift and the stairs are narrow and steep as it's an old building. No problem if you are sure of foot but would be a problem for some who have limited mobility.

Review 10:Something a bit different. Fab modern rooms, comfy bed, bathroom great. Bit odd having a coat stand rather than a wardrobe but unless you are staying more than a few days it works.

Review 11:Nothing - will definitely both return and recommend.

Review 12:Fabulous location, very friendly family run environment. Restaurant food and service exceptional. Would highly recommend eating at Napiers when staying here.

Review 13:Only one seat in the room even though it was the "Honeymoon Suite", No prior information given with regards to access to the hotel (the reception/staff was in a different hotel bar across the road). Different websites had different postcodes for the hotel. The water for the bath wasn't hot enough. TV was quite small for the room and too far from the bed (as there was no seating). Dressing gowns were a little too feminine for male occupants (Short and pinkish). Menu in the room was out of date and was a laminated large sheet menu. the tilting mechanism on the mirror was broken, so you couldn't tilt it to see yourself properly. Poor quality hangers in the wardrobe that couldn't always take the weight of our coats

Review 14:The bath in the room, Large Shower, Large window to look out from. nice soft dressing gowns. Shutters on the window. Food was great. Nice full length Mirror in the room. wardrobes in the corridor away from the bedroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 15:The friendliness of the two ladies in charge

Review 16:Friendly staff and great with children. Close to town centre, canal and Skipton castle. Around 20 minute drive to main attractions in South Dales.

Review 17:Continental breakfast quite bland. Sliced bread, little variety.

Review 18:Bar meals were good. Staff friendly and welcoming. Rooms basic but clean.

Review 19:Finding staff to check out Breakfast rubish dry bacon roll Too exspensive for the service

Review 20:Location

Review 21:Hotel and room smelt of stagnant water, room very small, black mould round shower cubicle, not worth anywhere near £250.

Review 22:Location.

Review 23:A little too cold in the night

Review 24:Interior is excellent & the food

Review 25:Stunning penthouse room, friendly and helpful staff, lovely restaurant

Review 26:Loud music from the wine bar and the lack of parking

Review 27:Lovely room and really comfortable bed
