Reviews for The Crown at Sherborne

Review 1:The whole Breakfast experience was not a good one for me. In my opinion they really need to up their game as far as the Continental breakfast is concerned and if one orders a poached egg on toast then the toast should be under the egg, the guest should not be expected to do the toast themselves! Also, the toaster was useless - it needs upgrading. Further, the breakfast room was absolutely freezing, thereby very unwelcoming.

Review 2:Bedroom was very tastefully decorated

Review 3:Room fronted onto the A30 - very noisy with window open. Deluxe double room had 1 hard upright chair only. Hanging rail was over the chair - barely room to pull the chair out.

Review 4:Property was very clean Staff very pleasant

Review 5:Room was a little chilly and couldn't get the radiator to come on. Pub is on a main road although the double glazing worked well at keeping the noise out

Review 6:Lovely room, spotlessly clean, nice modern ensuite

Review 7:Expected to pay £60 as quoted and had to pay £80 for an inferior room as they said that the rooms had been upgraded. They did not tell us until we arrived and we also phoned a week before. We were go to say we were not going to pay but they also had another couple that they had double booked and could not find another room for them in the area. We had no option. Not good practice. They tell you one thing to get you there and then on the day they have you trapped with expectations

Review 8:Clean and tidy

Review 9:The parking outside was very limited

Review 10:All the little extras like kettle tea coffee biscuits bottles of water good quality drinking mugs cotton wool etc... Friendliness of staff and home from home feel.

Review 11:The plumbing, probably the macerator, was noisy and disturbing to others in the night.

Review 12:The bed and the owner.Helpfulness over all enquiries over things to visit ,parking etc.

Review 13:Polyester pillows and duvet. Hopefully they will be able to decorate the entrance and corridors in the B and B to the same high standard that they have done for the bedrooms and the pub

Review 14:Ian and his wife were very welcoming, kind and helpful Well appointed bedroom, light spacious and comfortable with bright contemporary decor. Free tea and coffee and free WiFi excellent! Very good beer and home cooked food. Delicious sausages at breakfast. Overall a good pub stylishly renovated
