Review 1：the hotel is very close to three mosques, the Imam at 5 o'clock wake you up and all the day shouting with praying!!!

Review 3：Breakfast needs to be upgraded, it does not matter if the price plus, the reception need to be more responsive and friendly. There is a tendency not to refund the excess payment by saying: return the money would be taken?

Review 11：Once came there to book the room for next day, and the frontdesk said that it was full. It was not even public holiday or weekend. But that's what she said. Now I,d rather to book via online booking than to come over directly.
Review 12：I appreciate the simple check-in given to guests booking via online (booking.com). I just need to tell my name and the staff quickly found my name on the list, note my ID, pay actual ammount as shown online no additional, and gave me the room key! That's it.
Review 13：The staff were not helpful at all, on 2 occasions refused to help me arrange a taxi from the hotel. My bed was dirty with other people's hair and bugs crawling in it, I asked them to change it and it seemed like too much hassle. Very dissapointed as I am travelling on a budget and had planned a comfortable a night.

Review 16：The windows are so thin and the room on the road-side was so noisy from the traffic outside you can barely even hear another person speaking in the same room as you unless they were almost shouting. The pillows are incredibly thin and you only get one, I don't normally require two pillows necessarily but it was so thin, my wife was getting a bad back, when we asked, could we have another pillow, we were told we had to pay for another. The staff were not particularly helpful when we were trying to ask about this on the phone, they put the phone down on us, however, it was no better when we eventually managed to speak to the manager, we were not given adequate pillows (for the price of this room you expect a pillow that is half decent and not to be asked to pay for one when they clearly have extra pillows available that would provide you with the basic comfort you expect in a hotel). We ordered some food from the menu in the room and they brought it to the room and charged us an extra fee which was not stated anywhere on the price list for room service (and the prices of the food on the room list was already more expensive than in the restaurant). The breakfast was awful and very minimal, we were offered soto ayam which is no good for us as we are vegetarians or toast, the jam was disgustingly sweet and even the tea and coffee was vile, (and we are quite used to the tea and coffee in Indonesia being different to what we have at home). It tasted like it was may be the tea/coffee re-heated from the day before....? The internet is only in reception. There are no English-speaking channels on the TV, not that you could hear the TV very well with all the traffic noise but it might help drown out some of the sound from outside.

Review 18：The room is big and clean, they have nice staff and the location of Hotel Semeru is great, near to Train Station, Bus Terminal, and not too far away from Kebun Raya and Botani Square mall.

Review 20：There was a discrepancy between booking.com and the hotel for an extra bed charge. They initially stuck with their "new" cost but then they called the manager and OK'd it. Breakfast was fantastic. They had soap and toothbrushes, which is appreciated.
Review 21：Some staff is less friendly, I once asked for assistance for laundry service and have been told that they will ring my room to tell about laundry service nearby. And no call at all from the staff. They should inform us at least eventhough there are no laundry service nearby, then we won't have to wait for hours.
Review 22：it is located near bogor train station, and from there you can just take angkotan and tell your directions. you can also take angkotan to go to Kebun Raya Bogor, Bogor Trade Mall and the wet market. It's worth the money.

Review 25：Bring a Basic knowledge of bahasa indonesia, as the hotel staff speaks only a little bit of English. Most guests are from Indonesia I think. They behave like its a five star hotel, including lobby boy ;) but it just isn't. Breakfast selection really limited. Everything was already cold at 9AM. Strange: Room was fan only, but window could not be openend. So it was really hot inside the room and i had difficulties to sleep
Review 26：Hotel staff really friendly they helped me to figure out the Angkot routes. Room was really big and clean. Check-In and Out took no time. Bed really comfortable. Good water pressure, bathroom quite large. They offer a room service at cheap prices but I didnt try it.

Review 71：The location was excellent, only a 10 or 15 minute walk from the main shopping areas. There are many good eateries located within a 3 or 4 minute walk. The staff were excellent and really helpful, One of them even took me out on 2 nights for somethings to eat! You're even welcome to use the kitchen facilities providing you wash up after you. Great service, great location!
Review 72：Some startup problems. Bed was made up incorrectly (sheey on top of blanket instead of reversely). Light on balcony could only be switched off by removing te light bulb. Bed side lamps very weak, only alternative was very bright main light. Nearby mosks start making calls from about 04.00 (or did I dream it?) A stiff walk to the railway station and the botanical gardens. There are lots of tiny minibuses but their system is totally incomprehensible so public transport is a problem in Bogor.

Review 76：I'm actually a British guy working in Jakarta and come down to Bogor sometimes for the weekend to see my fiance. Hotel Semeru is a good hotel for budget travellers. I've stayed there twice now, first in a standard room and then in a deluxe room and both are comfortable. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet is minimal but adequate for the price. The location is good enough, it's a small out of town hotel ideal for private vehicle or bike owners but it can be reached by Angkot from the train station so no problems.
Review 77：Said rooms had wifi, not true, only the lobby does. Staff speak little English and as it's far from the main attractions may be a problem for tourists. I wasold to go to the wrong bus station by the staff there. No toilet paper!

Review 84：The location is a little bit out of the way. We walked from thetrainstation, but in the middle of the day, that's a bit to hot. Butit's very easy and cheap to get a minivan or other transport to thetrainstation, busstation or Botanic Garden.
