Reviews for Best Western The Grange at Oborne

Review 1:Staff were so efficient and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Rooms spacious, really clean and literally no noise could be heard from above or beside us! Peaceful location, modern facilities and overall a great night away! Would return without a doubt.

Review 2:nothing

Review 3:A lovely well run hotel in a beautiful area. We wanted a quiet room away from Xmas Parties - this request was taken notice of and peace ensued.

Review 4:it would be a good idea when busy times that GUESTS take a priority on times for booking dinners...so perhaps contact in advance to offer times for dinner....in case they have christmas parties - we were fine but originally expected to eat at 8.30 which is too late for my uncle

Review 5:all of it

Review 6:My companion found the bed very hard but a mattress topper fixed it. Shaded lights pretty but hopeless if you want to read.

Review 7:Pleasant large room, staff lovely, breakfast delicious and dinner tasty.

Review 8:"Music" in restaurant. Might there be a place for classical music? ....or something a little less supermarket background style,

Review 9:Friendly, helpful staff. Well thought-out comfort Very clean Spacious room

Review 10:The meal in the restaurant was lovely except I do feel pasta is always a very average option for vegetarians when there are so many lovely other dishes that can be made - most vegetarians eat pasta as a normal weekday meal .

Review 11:It was all beautifully comfortable with great service .

Review 12:Every member of staff extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. Every inch of the entire hotel is pristine and the food was well thought out and delicious!

Review 13:Needs duvets not old counter pain and blanket in the bed. Needs decoration everywhere. Very dated. Curtains in restaurant old colour scheme old furniture old. Resembles 30 years ago. Quality of sausages at breakfast poor are they local? Nothing special.

Review 14:Location and friendly staff

Review 15:The mattress on the bed could be more comfortable. We judge all beds to that of Premier Inn, who have the best.

Review 16:Helpful and polite staff; Good location, quality food and nice relaxing dinning and reception areas.

Review 17:The whole experience was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly and could not do enough to make our stay most enjoyable. The rooms were spotless with all the right facilities. The food and wine in the restaurant were superb.

Review 18:The attention we received from the Owner on arrival, was first class. Helped with bringing luggage from our car and nothing was too much of a problen

Review 19:The only criticism I have is the claim that there was wifi. In reality the wifi was extremely patchy and non-existent in most parts of the hotel. That's no problem in itself but it is misleading to suggest otherwise.

Review 20:Pretty much everything else.

Review 21:The bed was a little hard.

Review 22:This is a gem and feels like a family run business. The well trained staff were attentive but discrete and the breakfast was really good. The bathroom had a lovely walk in shower as well as a separate bath.

Review 23:Bathroom very basic, nowhere to put anything i.e. washbag or towels, one small rail. Very very basic toiletries. No mobile phone network in area and phone in room not working. Breakfast quite basic

Review 30:Spacious and comfortable room with doors opening on to terrace and a lovely garden, very peaceful and quiet setting. The food was delicious, and the service in the dining room and on reception also very friendly and efficient. It is so nice to be made to feel so welcome!

Review 31:Everything. Rural location was breathtaking. Friendly, attentive staff. The manager checked us in and directed our group (with senior traveler) to first floor room to avoid stairs for the elderly member. This was so thoughtful, and gracefully handled. I will be coming back!

Review 32:Nothing.

Review 33:Our room was large, plenty of space and well located. It had excellent views over the garden and a lovely balcony. The room and bathroom was very clean and the room temperature was good. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was easy to lie in. Breakfast was not disappointing, options are available for cooked, as well as Joyce, cereals and toast. Overall a great visit and would stay again.

Review 34:Inconsistent elements... all day food service supposedly available but was not offered when we arrived too late for lunch. Breakfast items offered one day but not the next. Plastic cups in bathroom.

Review 35:Friendly attentive but not overbearing service. Open fireplace, garden, village location. Laid back, serene.

Review 36:nothing not to like

Review 37:Absolutely delicious food. This should be Relais Chateaux, not Best Western. Super comfortable, intelligent rooms. Nice staff. The people who own this hotel, They 'get' it.

Review 76:Hotel very nice - staff very friendly - food excellent - also liked to be served breakfast rather that getting my own!!!

Review 77:Difficult to fault. The basin in the en suite had a rather stiff plug mechanism needing attention. There was rather a smelly single toilet downstairs which was evident when walking past.

Review 78:Wonderful peaceful quiet location. Staff were very genial and on the ball. Breakfasts were very nice. The bed was comfortable.

Review 79:I was very disappointed with the threadbare bits of carpet in the 'superior' room. The price I paid for one night would replace the carpet

Review 80:The hotel and location are fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful

Review 81:The hotel has an old fashioned grace and elegance with most friendly staff in a beautiful old building. The gardens are beautiful. A quintessential English hotel. It may not suite brash travelers from across the Atlantic

Review 82:Staff were very friendly but also very professional
