Reviews for Tourist Settlement Amarin
Review 1:The place is nice but there are a couple of things to be improved. Wi-fi is present only at the reception and at the bar/ restaurant nearby the pool. In my opinion a 4 * place should have wi-fi everywhere. Today being conected is a must for any tourist ,both for work and to have fresh info about the sorroundings.I understand it is quite difficult for such a huge place to have connection everywhere but this has to be solved somehow. Pillows for beds are very uncorfortable. One should pay for chairs at the pool and at he beach, which costs could honestly be inclueded in the package.
Review 2:Nice location.Good value for money. Nice and kind staff.
Review 3:The apartments did not have good views. Long walk from the car parking to apartment. Needed to run hot water for several minutes before we got some.
Review 4:Close to town.
Review 5:The pool area is open to anybody, even not stay at the tourist settlement. Poolside loungers / sun umbrellas are not included in the rate and are quite pricey (abt 3 euro per lounger / day and 4 euro per umbrella / day). On weekends the pool can get quite crowded.
Review 6:The position, the proximity with sea and beaches, the pool and the quality / variety of the breakfast.
Review 7:Evenings with that so-called animation team... We tried to run as far as possible, but they did a good job to be loud and tuneless. On the other hand, people seemed to enjoy it. So it's just my impression, perhaps.
Review 8:In fact we enjoyed everything. All facilities are well-developed, very cosy and neat environment, extremelly rich breakfast, and etc. Area is large enough to split the crowds. Very good option for a seaside rest when the temperature kicks +40 :)
Review 9:- check in was only possible after 3 pm - on the day of our departure we couldn't enter our apartment anymore since the key cards were reset automatically by the time of 10 am - the resort is very far away from the city centre - not sure if it's even part of ronvinj anymore
Review 10:Air con/heating didn't seem to work.unable to adjust. Unable to charge iPad/mobile phone when not in room. Old style TV, flat screen are so modern and cheap, why wouldn't you have them! Parking was a long walk to room, especially if getting home late at night. Breakfast was a long walk in the morning. We seemed to be a long way from all facilities, for the price!
Review 11:Breakfast was fantastic.
Review 12:- It is not an hotel, there are only apartments!- Chairs and umbrella at the swimming pool are daily charged 55 HRK ( about 7,3 EUR) - Internet coverage is limited to some areas and it was not working - service for breakfast and dinner was quite poor - air conditioning was not working yet (MAY)
Review 13:- Apartments are nice, if you look for an apartment solution
Review 14:The pictures of accommodation on booking do not quite match the actual apartment. The room is very small with barely any space between the furniture. The car is a necessity since it's approximately 6 km from Rovinj. WiFi only at the reception desk and restaurant with connection that's not the greatest. The quality of accommodation does not match the cost.
Review 15:Breakfast is phenomenal. Staff is very nice and helpful. There are enough facilities for sport activities. Decent beach.
Review 16:The air in the studio was stuffy, the window wasn't opened for quite some time obviously. And it was a real winter in there. It was early April and we could only warm it up from 14 to 16 °C. After several complaints we got an upgrade - larger, newer appartment closer to the sea.
Review 17:Breakfast is great, a lot of choice also for vegetarians. The restaurant has a nice view on the sea. After the upgrade (due to not functioning heating) we were very satisfied with the accomodation.
Review 18:Nothing that I particularly disliked more comments. Reception staff aren't the friendliest but were not as bad as some of the other reviews suggest. The resort is quite a way out of rovinj. This is a very family orientated place so be prepared for lots of kids. As I said not so much negative comments, just comments
Review 19:Rooms and all facilities are kept really clean. Especially considering the size of the place.
Review 20:Soft drinks were expensive and icecreme cost a bit more than in rovinj
Review 21:I have stayed here before in 2011 and I have seen a big improvement since then I found most of the staff friendly the odd one was a bit grumpy like the man on the ice cream stand. The resort was kept very clean and tidy. The apartment I stayed in was a bit dated but it had everything I needed so I was happy with that. I found the Amarin family friendly and yes you do have to pay for everything because it's not all inclusive and if you stayed in any other resort you would have to pay too.The food was good and the price was fair. I loved my stay at the Amarin and will be going back for sure.
Review 22:When we arrived the room that we get was uncleaned, but after we get another room.
Review 23:The breakfast was good and the swimming pool area was wery clean and the water was also clean.
Review 24:We felt absolutely ripped off. Place is expensive and service is horrible, staff is unfriendly and ineffective. Rooms are warm and humid, interior is dated. The airconditioning can only be turned on or off, but doesn't really do anything anyway. Expect house keeping to just barge into the room while you're half naked in bed at 8:00 in the morning (not much you can do about it, because you can't lock your door). When they're alone in the room they're not much better. When we came back at the end of the day the room smelled of cigarettes, the floor was dirty, the dirty towels were still in te shower, even though that's where we were supposed to leave them to be replaced according to the note. The bed was put on order, though, I guess that's something. Reception personnel is unfriendly and honestly couldn't care less about whatever issue you have in the resort. Wifi coverage is horrible, even though staff will insist it's working fine. Don't complain about it, though, complaining is pointless as they will refuse to believe you. You need to pay for everything, even for seating and parasols at the swimming pool. Don't book excursions through the hotel. They work with an agency that takes a commission, which is fine of course, but it's cheaper if you book in the city.
Review 25:Fun team is fun Parking is free
Review 26:-
Review 27:Everything, from room to food and facilities.
Review 28:WIFI was not so good.
Review 29:Great breakfast and dinner. Close to beach. Apartments are clean and facility is quite new.
Review 30:Smjestaj- no value for money
Review 31:Bas nista
Review 32:Adorable holiday village, fantastic beach.
Review 33:A long walk from the town, approx 1 hour or a taxi for about 80 kina.
Review 34:Multiple pools and bars and sports facilities. Nice self contained units.
Review 35:Big complex with very modern units. Two great pools and the ocean. Fabulous buffet breakfast.
Review 36:Location, different types of beaches...
Review 37:Excellent breakfast was included in the price we paid - very good value for money. Clean apartment, and helpful staff in the reception.
Review 38:Had to Change the appartement, the first was full of ants, in the second one the toilet was leaking. The beds are not comfortable to sleep.
Review 39:Breakfast is rich and tasteful.
Review 40:There were ants allover our apartmant. It was really annoying. They were even in kitchen sink. The tv was not as it supposted to be. It should be flat tv, but it was old crt tv.
Review 41:Lot of thinks to do, near sea, beautiful beach, 3 really nice pools, excellent breakfast, excellent food at the restaurant.
Review 42:The major con is that nothing seems to be included in Amarin - you haveto pay for Internet connection (available only in few places), umbrellas& deckchairs and they're all quite expensive. Staff are notfriendly, they're very young and seem not to care that much abouttheir customers' satisfaction. Not even the receptionists asked usabout our staying at the end of our holiday! Booking a taxi from thereception ended up being extremely complicated, with only one taxicompany working in Rovinj (according to the receptionist) and no way tocontact them. Even if the breakfast included a huge variety of food, allthe fruit was tasteless and most of it looked as if it had gone off. Thedistance from the town is not at all as short as described in the hoteladvertisement - since it's not possible to walk to Rovinj, the busor taxi boat should have been free, while you have to pay for both ofthem and the boat is quite expensive. If you have a family, you'dend up paying a fortune to spend a night in town!
Review 43:Quiet resort with two nice swimming-pools. Lovely surroundings with alot of nature.
Review 44:Staff was not very friendly. Breakfast was decent; should be better in this price range. Beaches were terrible (to much rocks) and pool was very small.
Review 45:Settlement is very peaceful and quiet. Rooms are clean and comfortable. AC unit was fantastic - we didn't even feel those extremly hot nights.
Review 46:Room was a little small for 3 people, but ok
Review 47:Setting was beautiful. Breakfast was very very nice.
Review 48:Chek out at 10 am
Review 49:Nice and clean resort next to the see with 3 swimmingpools, nice restaurant to have breakfast / lunch or diner.
Review 50:confusion over the name at check in..staff not familiar with words "tourist settlement"
Review 51:location,facilities,breakfast
