Review 2:The breakfast
Review 3:The B&B is nicely decorated and very clean but the food in the Baytree restaurant is the star of the show - it's simply superb, one of the best meals we've ever had. We will definitely be back, fantastic food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff, top class !!
Review 4:Our room was right at the front so u could hear all road noise and bands playing! But it didn't affect our stay
Review 5:The value for money was excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing five star!!
Review 6:Nothing.
Review 7:In the middle of village with all the pubs, cafes, restaurants a few steps away. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room spotless and newly decorated.
Review 8:The extractor fan in the bathroom was quite noisy in the bathroom even after the light was switched off , but other that we had a very pleasant stay , would definitley recommend it .
Review 9:We liked it here as it was convienent to the hotel where we were attending a family wedding, staff were very pleasant when we arrived , room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable .Nice
Review 10:The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the décor gives a luxurious feel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect - right in the centre close to pubs and restaurants and the sights.
Review 11:Bar/restaurant downstairs created such a racket we were not able to sleep until well after 2am. Shouting, banging glasses, thumping tables, roaring men and squealing women, non stop, the entire night.
Review 12:Good car parking right outside
Review 13:Unable to get WIFI in room 6. As we're travelling from overseas, this was annoying as the free wifi was one of the reasons we chose this place.
Review 14:Other than wifi not working in our room, everything was great.
Review 15:Soap dispenser in shower was empty.
Review 16:A comfortable B and B with a nice breakfast. Good value for money when compared against other options in Carlingford.
Review 17:The Belvedere B@B is in a perfect location right in the middle of Carlingford, the room was very clean and comfortable, the best part was the breakfast which was made to order and served to our linen dressed table, great value for money this is our second time to stay here and it won't be our last. Would definitely recommend this B@B
Review 18:Very welcoming. Great location. Clean fresh rooms. Food great. Alround everything you could want.
Review 19:Everything. Lovely stay, friendly staff great breakfast.
Review 20:Wi-fi password given in room didn't seem to work
Review 21:Very helpful as I arrived earlier than the check-in time - they allowed me to check in an hour early. Staff very friendly too.
Review 22:The welcome we received was very disappointing. Our room wasn't ready which was fine with us but the attitude of the staff was not great. The room was adequate but the blow dryer did not work and the sugar bowl was empty. The breakfast was disappointing as they only serve sour dough bread which is baked on the premises and no alternative is offered.
Review 23:The location of the property was very good.
Review 24:There didn't appear to be a lift for prams or wheelchairs however this did not affect our enjoyment.
Review 25:Wonderful location and a great family run business. We visited mid week and we're delighted with the service, staff and value for money.
Review 26:Comfortable bed. Clean room. Water pressure in shower was good. Friendly staff. Restaurant downstairs was amazing- highly recommend the duck confit! Perfect for a weekend away.
Review 27:Opposite the b&b was one of the local pubs which was open to early hours of morning
Review 28:Excellent room ,very clean amd tidy . We had a meal in the restaurent downstairs which was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly .
Review 29:We loved our relaxing 2 night stay at Belvedere B&B recently. We had a great room overlooking the street and it was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights and the food was delicious and the best we had eaten during our travels in Ireland. Great breakfast also.
Review 30:room was very dusty, there was talcum powder on the bathroom floor and the wall from the previous guest, there was dirty toilet paper on the brush in the bathroom. My wife couldn't get an ordinary slice of toast with my breakfast, only sour dough bread (which I thought was delicious) and there was only one sausage and one slice of bacon with breakfast.
Review 31:the location, good atmosphere
Review 32:Parking can be difficult but we were lucky to land a spot nearby.
Review 33:Comfortable accomodation & lovely breakfast. In the heart of the medieval town within walking distance for exploring!
Review 34:Only a few minor things. The lock to the bathroom door was not working and tv had only one channel but with no sound. But it didn't matter too much as we were not there for the tv. Wifi signal was not the best but allowed you to escape the world and enjoy the scenery.
Review 35:The room was clean and comfortable. It had an ensuite bathroom. The breakfast had lots of options, using fresh and local ingredients and the owners were friendly. The hotel was located in centre of Carlingford perfect to explore the pretty town! We had brilliant weather so made for a good break.
Review 36:Room 5 "King Johns" you could hear a humming noise turning on and off all night which prevented me from sleeping . It sounds like a water pump !
Review 37:I loved the comfort of room and how clean / cosy it was.
Review 38:No bad experience, but more hanging space is in the process of being installed, which will improve the facilities.
Review 39:This is a modern, comfortable B&B in the pretty village of Carlingford, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Carlingford Lough. There is a lovely modern restaurant attached, with delicious breakfast options (included) and a wonderful menu of dishes to choose from for an evening meal. The owners are delightful and very helpful. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend, both the B&B and the restaurant.
Review 40:Nothing bad to report. Might be a little noisy on weekends.
Review 41:The hosts & food were outstanding. Both hosts went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was great & the restaurant was outstanding.
Review 42:Having to leave.
Review 43:Very friendly hosts and welcoming. Very centrally located. Great food especially the sour dough toast. I asked if I could have Lobster for Dinner and it was brought in by boat that same evening. Wifi signal was great, overall, an excellent stay. Will definitely be returning.
Review 44:Nothing
Review 45:Connor is awesome. We arrived late (around 11pm) and he drove from his house to the b&b to get us checked in. I traveled Ireland for two weeks and stayed in a different b&b each night and this was by far the best experience. Room is huge, fresh paint, and very clean. All details were considered and there were even ear plugs left by the bed (although it was quiet and I didn't need them). Room and restaurant are beautiful. Fresh flowers on the table.
Review 46:We liked everything about The Belvedere.
Review 47:Friendly efficient staff. Very comfortable bed. Great food.Warm and cosy.Right in the centre of Carlingford. Couldn't get any better!!
Review 48:Missed going to the onsite award winning Baytree Restaurant Could have been more hanging space in our room
Review 49:Friendly and generous hosts Delicious breakfast Comfortable bed and room with modern touches Quiet but still central to the town
Review 50:Can't think of anything we didn't like
Review 51:The fish platter dinner on Friday night!!! at Magees. Our accommodation, the location and the breakfast were very good, and the staff fantastic and friendly.
Review 52:My only grip was that as the building is old it is impossible not to hear other guests moving around. We are light sleepers unfortunately and I would advise others to bring ear plugs if they are light sleepers too. Our bedroom had everything we needed including drinking water and lovely wine glasses (nice touch). Perhaps a couple of hooks in the (small-ish) bathroom would be useful.
Review 53:Excellent location. Host was lovely. Food was brilliant! Very sorry we didn't get to have dinner here because if breakfast was anything to go by we're sure it would have been fab.
Review 54:Bed was very uncomfortable and creaked everytime we turned. The room was freezing when we arrived and smelled as if it hadn't been used in a while and when we asked to have the heating put on the room, we were given a very surly response. The quality of the room was certainly not worth paying 90 euro a night.
Review 55:Breakfast was good and location was very central.
Review 56:No complaints.
Review 57:Friendly staff. Excellent service. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Loved the " butter stones"! Great value. We'll be back.
Review 58:I travel a lot and have stayed in far more fancy and certainly more expensive places than the Belvedere House, but I have never stayed any place more hospitable. The owner, Connor, and his staff are what make this place such a gem. The hospitality was so genuinely warm and personal; Connor even took time from his busy day to drive us out to his favorite hiking trail for a pre-dinner walk. My wife, friends, and I went to Carlingford for the sites and history, which by the way are great and much recommended, but we would go back just for the Belvedere. And that is despite the fact that Room 1 is so hard to pronounce.
Review 59:Location,food and staff excellent. Room was very good though didn't have a wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes but was not a problem as only there 2 nights. Would highly recommend. Would stay again
Review 60:The bed and bath were very clean, but the tables and lamps needed a dusting.
Review 61:Location was right in the middle of the restaurant and pub area which is great to meet the locals and enjoy Carlingford oysters. Breakfast was the best we had during our 10 day tour of the North and Mourne Coasts. Staff was friendly. We decided to stay an extra night.
Review 62:Location.comfortable bed.Great access to b+b.Excellent meal and breakfast in Baytree Restaurant. Friendly staff.Great atmosphere, made very welcome.
Review 63:Beautiful town with traditional Irish bars and streets. People very welcoming and polite. Belvedere was a cracking wee spot. Rooms were lovely, clean and welcoming with very comfortable beds. Chef even helped us with our bags to our room.
Review 64:Late bar across the road created quite a bit of noise before midnight. Wasn't so bad after 12 but room was very warm and we had to keep window closed to keep noise out. Wouldn't recommend if you have an early start but if not it's a lovely place to stay. Checkout at 11.30 was a bit early.
Review 65:Good location. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was very nice. On street parking was readily available.
Review 66:There was no wardrobe or hanging facilities for clothes but as we were only staying 1 night that didn't matter.
Review 67:To be honest I liked everything about it.
Review 68:A beautiful surprise, wasn't expecting such a warm house with lots of character. Lots of personal touches you don't get in the likes of the bigger hotels. Staff really helpful and good fun. Breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant is rated number one in the town
Review 69:a little bit too near a noisy pub but not a problem

Review 71:Renovations (paintwork) in the bathroom needed to be completed...
