Reviews for Sunset View
Review 1:We really enjoyed the view from the balcony. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room met our expectations and were clean and comfortable.
Review 2:Very friendly and helpful staff and beautiful view they were happy to move our adult daughter to an up grade room at no extra cost as there was a crying baby next to her room most impressed
Review 3:Brother and sister need to communicate to each other.
Review 4:Everything. Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, great room, beautiful views, nice pool area, great services, very helpful.
Review 5:It is a beautiful place and a great location. Close to the town center, but far enough away to be quiet. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Hope to come back and stay for an extended time soon.
Review 6:We ate at the hotel one night but were a little disappointed with the choice and quality of the all day menu.
Review 7:The hotel is high up on the hill overlooking the village and the harbour, however the hotel offers transfers to and from the ferry terminal. Being up the hill offers fantastic views but it is a short walk in to the village for the tavernas. The hotel rooms have a small kitchenette with a stovetop, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and there is a reasonable Carefours within walking distance. The buffet breakfast is quite substantial with both hot and cold offerings that will please most people. There are plenty of deck chairs around the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar prices are quite reasonable.
Review 8:Sunset view is a very nice place to relax. Better than the pictures could describe. Nikos is a very nice host and very helpful. Thanks. I can recommend this place and our kids also loved the hotel and the pool.
Review 9:An absolutely beautiful hotel can not rave enough about it!!! Nikos and his staff were Outstanding! The view, breakfast and rooms were incredible and the pool was fantastic.
Review 10:nothing
Review 11:I stayed for 7 Nights at Sunset View in September. My Room was very spacious comfortable and very clean.. Wow what a view I had from my private Balcony. The most stunning Sunsets and looking over the water to watch the Ferries come into Port. The Breakfast was Perfect with lots of choices in a buffet style Very pleasant walk into Town. Staff were Fabulous and the Pool was superb..One of the best pools ever Sparkling clear and pristine. Thank You Sunset View for a wonderful stay with you.
Review 12:The hotel is a bit of a walk into town. It's not too bad in the daytime as the walk there is mostly by the water and the sight of the sea and the fishermen fixing their nets by their boats is quite charming. But at night the walk back to the hotel in the dark is rather dreary and I would advise people to take a taxi, which is only, if memory serves me well, less than five Euros. In my opinion, the inconvenience of having to take a taxi is not a bad trade off for the charm and the unique views provided by this charming hotel.
Review 13:The Sunset View Hotel is a quaint, typically Greek hotel built on the side of a small mountain with wonderful views of the coast. Our balcony faced the pool and beyond, half a kilometer perhaps, we could see the sea and to our left, a little further, the town rising in the distance. It was quite an enchanting sight which made us feel we were truly in a Greek island and embarking on a relaxing vacation. This was our second visit to Paros and in my opinion, the Sunset View is an excellent choice of hotel.
Review 14:Location....but on the other hand...you cant have a view like this without being located on this spot.... :-)
Review 15:View was amazing...also the staff...they would do anything to make you feel perfect....breakfast by the pool....we enjoyed every second in this hotel
Review 16:No fitness centre/gym A bit out of town but the wonderful views make up for this No official beach towels, a bit stingy with toiletries
Review 17:Great and friendly staff
Review 18:A beautiful hotel with a beautiful view of Paros. The walk from the main town got tiring, but in the end we didn't mind as it helped work off all that baklava haha Breaky was really great as well. Missing that fruit salad already
Review 19:The only bad thing was that there were a lot of Mosquitos near our room as we were next to the pool and they would swarm our room. I would ask for a room as high up as possible and away from the pool to avoid this. But this place was so amazing I would 100% come back and recommend this to everyone.
Review 20:I cannot believe how amazing this hotel was. It has got to be one of the nicest places I've stayed in. The view is incredible. The rooms and big with big beds. The pool is huge and it's only a short walk to the port town. I wish we stayed here longer.
Review 21:Bathroom was slightly out of date but always clean. Slightly far from the beach and town. Can walk there in 15 minutes or so, but your return to the hotel would be all uphill. I'd suggest renting an ATV for 40 euros a day (which is what we did...the staff even coordinated it being brought to and picked up from the hotel for us)
Review 22:Amazing room on a beautiful property. Paid for a basic room but instead received an amazing suite with a separate dining area, huge terrace with sun chairs, and a small kitchenette. Beautiful property, helpful and friendly staff.
Review 23:Everything about Sunset View is perfect! The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, the premises were beautiful and facilities absolutely perfect. My room could not have been any better with an incredible view across the harbour, and my own cooking facilities. It was very useful having a free taxi service to and from the port! The food was also wonderful (and the cocktails!) and all the staff were great! Not a bad thing I could say about the place, thank you so much for having me!
Review 24:Beautiful facility with stunning views. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Full featured and resort-like, no need to leave if you didn't want to!
Review 25:The hill back from town is a bit steep and not so pedestrian friendly. Buy a taxi and use a car / scooter. For a 9 night stay, the breakfast gets repetitive ..
Review 26:We liked the decor and the staff are great. Nikos is always super helpful and friendly. We ate regularly at the hotel and enjoyed the food. The port pick up is very useful and the location is very peaceful and scenic. We stayed in 3 different rooms and they were all very nice although pay up for a suite if you can they are well worth it.
Review 27:My only complaint is that the shower was small and merely blocked off by a curtain, which lead to water getting all over the bathroom floor each time we showered. There is a drain, but I feel that a real shower door would be an improvement.
Review 28:Sunset View was a very nice place to stay while in Paros, especially due to the short duration of our stay, and the fact that it was blazing hot when we were there (see: pool).View:We booked the 4-person apartment, even though we were only 2 people, because it was the only room in our price range with a view at the time of booking. It was worth it. Not only is the view from the pool deck and common areas expansive and beautiful, our balcony, even higher up, provided one of the best views we had during our entire trip to Greece. True to its name, the sunsets were remarkable, and a great way to begin each of our evenings out.Room:Our 4-person apartment was spacious and well-maintained. The kitchenette was nice, air conditioning strong, bed comfortable, and balcony large. There is no safe, another ding on this place, but the front desk claims to have a central safe you can use (we didn’t). The rooms were immaculately cleaned every day, and the dishes we used were washed.Location:Sunset View’s biggest challenge is location. There is probably no way to rival its port and sunset views, as well as beautiful pool, without being this removed from Parikia, but getting to the hotel took some effort. The hotel provides transfers (very quick) to and from the port, which was a very nice perk. However, it is a 15 minute walk to almost any restaurant, bar, or the port, and even further to some parts of the Old Town area. Walking back, almost all of this is uphill, including an extremely steep final hill from the main road. So there are tradeoffs. But once you are there, it is unbelievably relaxing to sit by the pool, where a waitress takes food and drink orders all day, eat their complimentary breakfast, and enjoy the sunset. Cabs to and from the hotel are also cheap, if the walk is too much.Overall, we definitely recommend staying at Sunset View while in Paros.
Review 29:Walking back from town in the dark is a little scary along the path up to the hotel - would suggest putting some lighting along the path!
Review 30:Views were amazing. Location from Parikia town was very easy to walk to town and back. Breakfast was brilliant by the pool with great selection. Staff were lovely and did everything they could to make us more comfortable. Will definitely stay again if we visit Paros
Review 31:The hotel was great overall but to be a little pedantic, while Breakfast was good it could have been better with a little more options
Review 32:The staff the location the view the rooms all exceeded out expectations. It is the perfect place for a visit to paros great value for money!!
Review 33:the road which we had to get across to go to town.
Review 34:lovley view and nice and quiet at night, super terrace area with our room.the room was very very clean.
Review 35:It was bit far away from town and beaches. You may need a car or scooter.
Review 36:Room and view from it was wonderful. Pool was very good and also the freakfast.
Review 37:A steep hill could be a problem for some but without it, you wouldn't get the beautiful view! The kitchinette area is very basic which did not invite us to us to use it, which was coupled by a strange set up of our balcony which didn't enable us to have a table either inside or on the balcony. However, I think this was unique of our apartment: all the others seemed to have a table and chair to sit around and eat/have a drink at night.
Review 38:Beautiful views and settings. Beautiful hotel. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff.
Review 39:nothing!
Review 40:Nice hotel, great stay! Very good located, the hotel is beautiful and the staff is very kind. We stayed for 2 days. When we arrived at Paros port, they came to pick us up. The manager of the hotel was very helpful. We enjoyed the stay! The views are awesome!!! Best hotel in Paros for sure
Review 41:From collection at the port to departure the all staff at the hotel were brilliant. The hotel is a little walk out of town but is therefore quiet and the elevation gives great views. The breakfast was very good as is the food menu.
Review 42:The staff were very welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. The view from our room was gorgeous. It really was a 'sunset view'. Was lovely and quiet. A very family oriented place.
Review 43:We stayed in the hotel after yachting, a group of 8 people and were fascinated by the hotel owner, Nikos, helpful team, well arranged and comfortable rooms, nice swimming pool, great view from and high level services. Breakfast was good with wide choice of meal and drinks. Perfect ratio price/quality. We were enjoying our days here and will be back for sure.
Review 44:The situation, the pool, the amazing biew during the sunset, the rooms (nice, charming, lot of space), the food and drinks (good value for money). nikos the owner, and all his staff were very welcoming.
Review 45:We liked everything about this hotel. Some may find its location an issue, its located on a hill above the town, but this is what gives you the view, amazing.
Review 46:attentive staff, great views, spacious well maintained apartments, the best poolside snack bar ever. A good size swimming pool with spacious patio, a good place to spend a day soaking up the sun.
Review 47:The wifi was restricted to public areas only so didn't work within the rooms.
Review 48:Staff were excellent and happy to answer all questions we had about Paros, transfer to and from the port was available and easy to use, snack bar was open all day so could have lunches/dinners there if you didn't feel like heading into town, views were incredible.
Review 49:nothing great property
Review 50:beautiful property with amazing views of paros. we were travelling as a group of 5 friends. we had booked one room however when we checked in we were placed away from the property split over 2 rooms. the staff did apologize for this. they did put us in the same room back in the main building on the second night and it was lovely. pool, wifi and breakfast were great.
Review 51:The staff couldn't have been more helpful, we were sick and they really went out of their way to make sure we were okay. The views are stunning and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel
Review 52:The wi-fi wasn't as strong in the room as I would have liked, but I found this to be an issue in all of the Greek islands andhotels we stayed.
Review 53:Sunset View was, hands down, the best deal we found on the Greekislands. The rooms are gorgeous, with stunning views. The breakfast isfresh, delicious and plentiful. The pool is as beautiful and clean as itlooks. Beds are comfortable, and the a/c works so well. Above all,the service is second to none. Really wonderful staff (who speak greatEnglish) who go out of their way to make your stay memorable.
Review 54:Nothing that we didn't like.
Review 55:Stayed at Sunset View on previous visits to Paros. Excellent family run hotel nothing too much trouble to help you enjoy your stay.Wonderful views looking down over Parikia and the port watching the sun set from your balcony. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very well maintained pool and public areas.
Review 56:Very individual service and lovely rooms. About 10 min walk to Parikia city centre and harbour. Great place to enjoy the amazing sunset and to have a cold beer!
Review 57:Leaving
Review 58:We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in recommending Sunset View. The facilities were excellent and very clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. The superb location makes access to the town easy and the views across the bay are beautiful.
Review 59:We had a great time especially at sunset. The hotel has a spectacular location... The owners are always present and super helpful. Helped us arrange for everything we needed, making great recommendations for beaches, restaurants, drinks, etc...
Review 60:Nothing bad-- this hotel was perfect!
Review 61:I loved this hotel. First off, the rooms are gorgeous with amazing views. It is also spotless. (One day I walked in on the cleaning lady and she was fully scrubbing our room, not just a little organizing, but a full-blown scrub down.) The staff is incredible and helpful, and the location is ideal!
Review 62:Pillows need an upgrade too!! Very flat
Review 63:The pool area was very very nice. Also rides to and from the port were very helpful. The beds are AMAZING. They just updated all of the mattresses.
Review 64:I have nothing to claim here.
Review 65:Excellent location overlooking the bay with beautiful view. Skilled and very friendly staff and management. Very clean place with all amenities and services. Outstanding bed quality.
Review 66:The rooms at sunset are spacious, clean and comfortable. The view is simply breathtaking and the staff are amazing. Have never beeb treats with such respect and understanding. Massive thank you to Nikko ans his team.
Review 67:Good and helpful staff. Excellent view for sunset from the hotel. Good pickup service from the port. Good breakfast. They also provide good quality and value of money dinner.
Review 68:Nothing!!!
Review 69:Wonderful hotel with an amazing view from our room, and also Nikos and his staff are TOP (defeating other 5* hotel)!!! We are so happy we decided to stay here, because the hotel is very charming and feel so warm by its people. Eventhough Nikos had a mourning on the day we were there, he kept trying his best to keep his hotel run well and to make his clients happy, a very good hearted professional owner, we wish you all the best Nikos!!
Review 70:Nothing
Review 71:The way the hotel is managed is excellent, the staff will always try to accommodate you if possible. The location is superb and the view is gorgeous. The owner Nikos gives the hotel a personal touch by stopping to talk to his guests and making sure everything is ok.
Review 72:Everything about this hotel was perfect, the staff are amazing, the breakfast is vast and tasty, our rio and view were fantastic. This is a tourist category hotel, but delivers very high standards, in a lovely quiet spot.
Review 73:I like all
Review 74:Everything was great, staff extreamly gentle, room big with amazing view, a little walk up and down the hill to arrive in town but the view and comfort of the hotel well worth the effort. Wiil go again with no doubt!!
Review 75:The only thing I don't like is the injustice of rating this hotel with a 10 as it deserves a much higher score!
Review 76:everything about this hotel was perfect! We told Nicholas that we were here to relax, and he took care of everything for us. From booking our massage by the pool to booking our whole day snorkeling trip, we could kick back and enjoy the day without worries. The facilities were superb (marble floors, firm bed, spacious bathroom)
Review 77:Bathroom is very small and facilities a bit dated. Car rental is necessary if you want to see other parts of the island.
Review 78:Great location - very close to the port and the hotel offers a free pick up service. The pool is lovely and the best place for viewing the sunset. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast spread. Excellent value for money.
Review 79:Hotel is located on a hill about 10-15 min walk into town. Taxis are about 4-7 Euro. This is the only drawback. But there is a public bus stop a few hundred metres away for lots of destinations on the island so this helps as you don't have to go into town to catch a bus to places like Naoussa, Lefkes or Pisa Livano.
Review 80:The hotel is well designed, spacious, with a good pool area and layout. The suite at the top of the hotel has a great balcony.
Review 81:Hard to find a criticism if not for the wifi connection quality that doesn't depend from the hotel with several hotspots but the overall island internet coverage. However, it works, you just need a bit of patience.
Review 82:Great architecture and design of the hotel complex with superb view on the bay; a lot of space in all public areas. Skilled and very sympathetic staff, helpful with any request. Excellent beds/mattress quality ensures top sleep! Spacious master bedroom with lots of storage space. Need of fresh beach towels? no problem, next morning they are ready. A garage to keep your rental car in the shadow. Lots of details in customers care, you feel really being a welcome guest here.
Review 83:The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel has a stunning pool area with amazing views, as the name suggests. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. By European standards the bathroom was a good size. Sunset View comes highly recommended!
Review 84:The beds are too hard. Breakfast OK but not more.
Review 85:The view was amazing, the room was nice. Nico and the Staffan was extremely serviceminded and kind. Relaxing no high music.
Review 86:Some staff members are not very professional and don t really know the answers of your questions regarding activities/hiking but anyway everyone is very friendly
Review 87:The jacuzzi, the situation of the rooms, nice hotel
Review 88:Paros is a lovely quiet island and Sunset View is the ideal place to enjoy the atmosphere. Nikos and his staff are fabulous hosts and are always willing to assist.
Review 89:very poor wifi(maybe because our room was far from reception) no tub or shower room everytime after you take a shower water is everywhere makes the bathroom totally a disaster.
Review 90:great location free pick up service from port good meal&pool overall it is good
Review 91:Amazing view!! The staff was amazing and super helpful, the room was big, clean and had everything we need. Location was perfect for getting to Parikia.
Review 92:This hotel has beautiful views, an amazing pool and excellent staff. Tastefully decorated and lovely food from the in house menu. We had a fantastic time here! Even collected and dropped at the port by the great staff. It's a little walk into the main part of town but definitely worth it for the lovely view from the hotel.
Review 93:The excellent service, good breakfast, comfortable amenities, lovely pool area with beautiful view all contributed to an exceptional and enjoyable atmosphere to return to.
Review 94:Limit choice for breakfast & hot food are not hot...
Review 95:Nikos, the owner & other staff are very friendly & helpful Panoramic view Newly renovated suite!
Review 96:Would be good to recommend guests bring small flash lights for walking at night.
Review 97:Family-run small hotel Fast wifi connection Lots of electrical outlets in room -- well lighted and very efficient kitchenette Great shower (water temp and pressure) Wonderful hosts -- relaxed and accommodating of all reasonable requests Great view of town and sunset Far enough from town that there's no noise, but close enough to walk to restaurants
Review 98:The walk uphill but at least it was exercise!
Review 99:Location, rooms. Family run hotel, with great service. Views are stunning across the town. Sunset are spectacular. Rooms well appointed and very clean. Gardens and pool excellent. Fantastic holiday we will return.
Review 100:The toilet needs upgrading. Did not sleep well because of the noisy fridge. Limited choices on the buffet breakfast. Would prefer fresh fruit rather than the jams and conserves.
Review 101:The view is stunning and the customer service is excellent. Good size room.
Review 102:The cats.........but Greece is full of the little beggars.
Review 103:Everything Poolside cocktails served by the 2 very attentive and lovelygirls from Transylvania, Nikos was always on site to help with anythingfrom more pillows to bus times. Dinners were good, breakfast was amazingand a very wide selection. The pool was just what was needed afterwalking from town to the hotel followed by cocktails and relaxation. Wasnice and quite all the time with exceptional views of teh sunset andsurrounding area. People have moaned about the walk from town to thehotel, its a hill up a road...........get over it and if you don'twant to walk you can get a taxi for about 5 Euros. A hotel I would stayat again without hesitation and recommend to anyone.
Review 104:Breakfast could be better.
Review 105:Fantastic view. Nice pool. Simple but comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Excellent quality-price ratio. We'll probably go back next year.
Review 106:There was nothing we didn't like.
Review 107:We loved everything about Sunset View! The friendly, attentive and efficient service from Nikos and his family - nothing was too much trouble. The extremely clean, nicely decorated and well maintained pool and public areas. The spacious tastefully decorated room with lovely large balcony. The lovely pool and poolside terraces with plenty of loungers, chairs, tables and a hot tub. The wonderful views over Parikia and the bay. The expertly made cocktails enjoyed by the pool watching the spectacular sunset. It could not have been nicer. Highly recommended.
Review 108:The view is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the hot water tub when it was a bit cool in autumn. The only disadvantage is that the city center is about 15 minutes walk away, but if you have a vehicle, it's not an issue.
Review 109:Sunset view has beautiful public space and the sunset view is amazing. The reservation staff namely Nikos was incredibly helpful and we couldn't have been more pleased with his service. The only reason I wouldn't stay here again is because the rooms need an upgrade. The beds were rock hard, could have just as easily been sleeping on the floor. Plus the pillows are flat and not comfortable. This definitely affected my experience at the hotel. Otherwise, beautiful.
Review 110:Great helpful staff Nice pool and jacuzzi Good pool bar with fresh cooked food Good wifi Great view Clean and comfy room Kitchen in the room is well enough equipped for you to prepare your own meals Walking distance from the hotel to Parikia
Review 111:Only a short 10 minute walk to town, a well-sized pool, lots of deck chairs to tan and relax on, great service, excellent food - breakfast was great. The menu has some great options.
Review 112:Hard beds, unusual shower, erratic hot water.
Review 113:Excellent pool, ample sun beds, chairs, tables, shady areas great view. Good varied breakfast, buffet style. Lovely caring staff. Expect basic style rooms for this price. Great having pick up and drop off to port included.linen changed daily.
Review 114:Great accommodation, with lovely pool facilities. The room was nice and clean and the kitchen had everything that we required. The wifi also worked in our room which was great. The staff were nice and friendly, and if you arrange it with them, they are happy to drop you down to the port when you depart. As Sunset view is about a 10min walk from town, you can get a taxi for 5 euro, which is a good idea at night as the area isn't very well lit up and it just feels safer to be in a taxi. During the day it feels nice and safe to walk everywhere.
Review 115:We had to move rooms during the 2 night stay due to over booking which was not ideal. There was insufficient signage directing us to the hotel from the road( which is very steep) and the matress was like a sack of potatoes. We did not sleep well.
Review 116:The music playlist of lovely acoustic songs made the atmosphere around the pool perfect! The manager 'nikos' was present every minute of the day and eager to help out. The exterior passage between rooms was stunning and we wished the interior areas had been updated to match.
Review 117:That we had to leave :)
Review 118:Is our second time at Sunset View and the reason is the polite staff , the amazing view , the super amazing pool and the clean room with the beautiful balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea and the Paroikia town.FREE transfer to/from Hotel , nice and homemade breakfast with a big variety to satisfy even the most picky person like me !This year the hotel has nice relaxing music by the pool and a really tasty cocktail list created by Nikos as per our request last year and believe me he didn't let us down. Sunset view hotel is a qurantee for a successful holiday in Paros ! A big Thank you to Nikos and his staff for making our holidays unforgettable , we will see u next year :)
Review 119:The hotel has an amazing view to the sea - it definitely lives up to its name -, the facilities are great and our room was perfect for a group of friends! The staff is hands-on and helped us with everything - from cruises to car renting. Special thanks to Nikos, the proprietor, whose kindness and pro-activity has have made the difference! I highly recommend it!
Review 120:Nothing. Stay here.
Review 121:We stayed at 5 hotels on our trip to Greece and the Sunset View stands out as the best. THe staff and especially Nick at the front desk was so helpful in suggesting sites to visit and even helped us with our rental car issue. The breakfast in the outdoor restaurant offered much selection and we took advantage of the daily happy hour at the pool.
