This is a well-organized and attractive apartment village, sitting right across from the Adriatic Sea designed to exist in harmony with the Mediterranean coastline and the surrounding scenery.
There are 16 pavilions, a reception, a main building with an air-conditioned restaurant, cafe and an activity room. The self-catering apartments - for between 2 and 5 people - are colorful, practical and enhanced by the pine trees and other local flora outside your door or balcony.

Review 1：Only water is included for drink at diner, and unfortunately they offer mostly meat, more fish would be better. (But is was still good!) And there were no sockets (plug) next to the bed.

Review 2：Parking places are very good. The area is beautiful, the sea is close, and the sunsets are amazing. Wifi is free, but only in main buildings. The staff were kind. Breakfast and dinner were great. Super choice for this price!

Review 3：EVERYTHING within the resort comes at an additional price - EVERYTHING including the use of sun beds by the pool (the pool that you can only access if you're a paying guest) and KETCHUP. My husband asked for some ketchup to go with his daily portion of fries & we were DISGUSTED to find it on our itemised bill as an additional charge. Also encountered some unhelpful staff on reception. I'd asked to pay my balance in 2 separate instalments as I wasn't sure if there was a limit to how much I could spend in one go. They told me that this was 'impossible' which working in the hospitality industry myself I know is ridiculous.

Review 4：All UK customers will know what I mean if I describe this resort as a 'Centre Parcs by the sea'. There resort was spread across a lot of grounds and so you didn't feel on top of anyone. The facilities were great - ranging from LOADS of sporting activities to a small supermarket & ATM to a boat taxi service to the nearby town of Rovinj. Most of the staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The wrist band idea is also very useful - ie you charge extras like drinks, food or sports hire to your wrist band & pay in one go at the end of the week. Breakfast was v good - it catered for all tastes / diets. Good location - you can just about walk to Rovinj (if you're young & fit) but easily accessible via taxi & boat. About 45 Euro's to the airport in a taxi.

Review 9：The only thing missing was a/c, which they will most likely install until next year. The prices have increased quite a lot, so during the main season, it is rather pricey. Still room for improvement on breakfast/dinner food quality.

Review 10：We have been going to Villas Rubin for over 30 years and they have really made visible improvements in the last years. This time we have stayed in a double room, as all the apartments were sold out. The beaches are super nice, there is lots of natural shade available. Eventhough the resort was almost fully booked out, the beaches and restaurants did not feel crowded. It is great place for families, couples, or if you are a pet owner :) It is our favorite place to come for vacation, as everything is there in one place.

Review 11：In one sentence - Old resort with new swimming pool. Bad, unequipped and dirty rooms, without AC, without fridge. Note that all rooms are double-bed. For this money, I would expect at least little fridge in the room... Pictures on resort profile are inadequate and represent nice work of photo expert rather that reality of accommodation. Bad value for money.

Review 12：Nice ambient and resort location - surrounded with camping area, market is inside of resort so you can easily get anything you need. Long and romantic walking paths around...

Review 17：Many rooms do not have AC (which is not a secret, you can see it upon booking the room), and some of them are rather small. Theoretically double rooms are 20 sqm just like triple rooms, but in reality some of the double rooms are much smaller than that. We travelled with a baby, and asked for a baby crib in our double room, but the room was so small we could hardly move - the same was true for the bathroom. So make sure you rather book a triple room even with just a baby.

Review 18：Huge resort with nice and large beach area. The place is very calm, you can wander through the beach. It is an excellent choice for young couples, elderly couples, families and group of friends alike. Catering in the restaurant is superb, various meals are served for breakfast and dinner alike. Rooms are refurbished and nice. Varied water sport facilities. Neat and clean pool and beach area.

Review 25：Just great! We booked for economy room with half broad. First impression about room was looking on the building outside and it was not so nice... but it was wrong impression! Inside, rooms are recently renewed, and i'll say: great value for money!!. Same counts for restaurant and the pool: both are brand new. I'll not comment surrounding area: simply, it is beautiful. It is really like small village, put in the middle of forest. Lot of trees, very nice beach, lot of sport terrains. Must say: rooms are maybe a bit modest (better say simple) but who cares to stay in the room when you are there ) One tip: the city or Rovinj can be reached by walk, but do not recommend (we tried :) Better use your car and park anywhere in the town, and then take a short 10 min walk to old town;) Overall: we are really planning to get back next year!

Review 26：The room was pretty small for three adults, and the beds hadn't been put out for our arrival. Very little drawer space available, and the lighting could be better (bit harsh). There was evening entertainment on site (such as karaoke) which was pretty loud and could be easily heard from the room. Breakfasts are basic but plentiful from the buffet with little ripe fruit and water too far off boiling to make decent tea or coffee - and we were disturbed that they locked all the exit doors (fire safety???) with the exception of the main entrance. Food from the resort restaurants during the day and evening was also basic (advertised mozzarella was plastic-type cheese!) There also could be more toilets on site (two sets v close together on a huge site). Few lifeguards on duty for such a large stretch of beach. Good idea that wrist bands supplied could buy you items and food from resort but didn't function for all beach items, shops and kiosks meaning money still needs to be carried.

Review 27：Lovely beaches right on your doorstep, with handy beach rentals on site like paddle boats and massages. Friendly staff who didn't make a fuss about our late arrival. Small shops and kiosks meant you didn't need to go off site for bottled water etc (although no notices in the rooms to tell you if the tap water was drinkable). Small balcony on room v handy for drying swim wear. Close parking available to room. We had a car so could easily go into Rovinj (4k away) and beautiful nature reserve a short drive away. Lots of great road side restaurants close drive away too.

Review 28：Comfortable, simple rooms. Good for a baby, because nothing dangerous. Very nice staff, attentive to our needs and courteous. Amazing location, great access to both seaside and parklands. Wonderful place for families. The hotel restaurant was superb with great food and great service.

Review 30：The position is optimal and the hotel staff is friendly! The sport arrangement is also good and the animation and actvities were funny.

Review 31：This is more of a glamour camping style resort. We didn't realize our room had no air conditioning so we were glad we brought a fan. It was very hot. There were a few bugs in the room at night, but the door to the patio was more like shutters so it was kind of "open" to the environment.

Review 32：Excellent location, lovely views, many amenities: pool, slides, restaurants, water front swimming and boating, evening entertainment. Our room was more like a little apartment with tiny sink and refrigerator.

Review 33：No wifi, just 3 spots in the compound and annoying authentication process. They don't clean the rooms properly during the stay. They charge for the swimmingpool, the umbrellas, sunbeds, etc... Basically all the nice stuff on the pictures is chargeable.

Review 64：Villas Rubin present themselves as pet friendly, but then you have only 2 meters where your dog can go into water, otherwise on 2 km of beaches it is not allowed. Also dogs cannot go in a lot of other places (restaurants, etc.). So, in my opinion, after you pay exorbitant fee for the dog, you get almost nothing in exchange. Also, the Rovinj vicinity is extremely expensive for all, food especially. Regarding food, I´ll call it gastronomic hell...

Review 65：Villas Rubin has surprisingly nice and clean apartments, and very nice environment - lots of shade and trees. The beaches and all vicinity was very clean and you can do really nice walk along see to Rovinj city.

Review 66：During our 8 night stay staff didn't clean our apartment (they declare daily cleaning). Apartment was renovated couple of years ago, but not maintained carefully. During night there were visible cockroaches. Whole resort was very amortized, swimming pool with dirty seawater. It is definitely not what I expected for the money they require.

Review 75：Our whole experience over two days was appallingly bad; probably our worst two nights anywhere in the world in the last 30 years. Hot rooms (no a/c or fan), noise all night from inconsiderate neighbours and traffic in the resort, dreadful food in the restaurant, no room number to help us locate our room (other guests kept trying our door), maids entering at 07:15 both mornings without warning, other staff who were unhelpful; this place is the pits.

Review 79：The ideal spot for family vacation with kids of all ages. The first two rows of appartments by the beach are absolutley perfect. Lots of walking and biking paths, many beaches and lots of shade. Sporting grounds and entertainment were available.

Review 80：When staying in Rubin Resort it is possible to walk to the Rovinj old town but it will take about an half an hour I suppose. We always took taxi. The beach is not for little babies, stones, no idea how slippery or deep it can be etc, just the way mother nature has made it, nobody to blame.

Review 81：The accommodation was perfect, we got rooms for five members of our family next to each other (like two little houses) just the way we had asked and we enjoyed the private space outside that was like a small backyard. The kitchen had all most basic equipment we needed to cook some meals made of the local products. The resort was clean and some distant singing of Croatian firemen during the Saturday evening did not disturb us. In general it was pleasantly quiet and at this time of year seemed to be not crowded. We used the sports grounds that were nice and the pool. The staff was nice and helpful.

Review 86：The housing place is overpriced for the comfort it has to offer. The apartment-house is small; furniture is old and worn-out; tv set is small andoutdated; kitchenette was equipped and clean, but we had to buy cleaningutensils ourselves (!) to keep it clean; frying pan was unusable(scraped teflon). There is no air-condition (we knew that) butconsidering the temperatures and air-flow within the house (noventilation) and expected comfort at that price range, it was greatlymissed. The atrium (veranda) is small, surrounded by 2m walls with noair-flow (much less the view) and it gets very hot; the parasol wasmissing at our house, and the staff confirmed that it is random fromhouse to house to have it (?). Washing machine is self-service,available at nearby camp, not at the location.

Review 87：We love the sea-side location around Villas Rubin and have been visitingthe place often in the past 30 years. Food-store is near and there aresome great restaurants nearby. The seaside area is well kept, clean andprovides lot of activities for guests.
