Reviews for Nikolas Hotel

Review 1:The hotel is dated (it must have looked amazing in the 80s). Breakfast: watered juice and a small cup of jam to share for 40 guests. there was not even enough plain bread for everybody. What's the point?

Review 2:Great location. 10-15 minutes to town by a very scenic walk. 2 minutes from a secluded private beach. Amazing veranda with view.

Review 3:Perfect location, very comfortable bad, excellent wifi in all areas, PERFECT breakfast area, very very beautiful view!! Available parking, close to main road, quiet but very close to the city center (7-8min walk).

Review 4:The guy that owned the hotel made no attempt to welcome us or speak to is during our stay. Beds were very uncomfortable, breakfast was just ok. Bathroom is in bad need of a revamp.

Review 5:Location and view were amazing. Free wifi was great.

Review 6:There were cockroaches in the corridors and in the rooms. The bathroom smells bad and the cleaning wasn't done perfectly.

Review 7:The view and the proximity with the Town The little beach near the hotel

Review 8:It is such a shame to be writing this, because in its day, this musthave been a lovely hotel. We booked and paid for 4 nights but onlystayed for 1 night moved elsewhere. However very little maintenance hasbeen carried out over the decades that the property is in a very rundown state. The bathrooms are disgusting. There is a window in thebathroom which opens on to an internal void which has the waste pipe forall floors running right down and the smell was disgusting. The plugsockets are so old that all plugs were loose and had to fiddle with themto get an electrical connection. Really, really dangerous. The rooms aresmall but adequate and beds are ok, but the hotel isvery tired lookingwith dark corridors and the smell of mothballs. Overall, the hotel isdesperate for a serious refurbishment.

Review 9:The sunset from the balcony is beautiful, but you can get that in manyplaces in Parikia.

Review 10:The wifi was not the best but I only say that if you are a traveller who needs constant access to wifi if you were like me and just need it to check Facebook, Instagram and email if you go to the lobby where they have a nice lounge section the wifi is readily available but in the room it dropped out quite often.

Review 11:The location was great an really quite convenient it was close enough that it was waking distance but not so close you were annoyed by any noise. If you are staying here and want to catch the bus to the hotel. There is a free council bus that is green and leaves from the port it runs till about 2:30pm ( you need to get off at the town hall or the Dimos stop) otherwise a taxi shouldn't cost more than 5 euro.

Review 12:I loved the roon with the balcony , the couple owner were absolute welcome and always helpfull just fews minutes off the town I recommend Nikolas hotel to anyone thanks u for the hospitality .

Review 13:Terrible shower, almost no hot water and no water pressure made it impossible wash hair properly. A bit of a walk to the harbor (walk along the waterside). Breakfast was really simple and slowly refilled. Owner did not seem to run the hotel with much care

Review 14:Nice view, both sea side during breakfast and mountain at night. Charming in it's own worn out way. Excellent wifi. Breakfast included

Review 15:The one downside it was a weekend and there were a lot of young people booked in. Continuous door slamming, banging on doors talking loudly.

Review 16:The manager/owner very pleasant and helpful. Went out of his way 2 take me 2 the port when no taxis were available.

Review 17:The best spot in Paros. 5 minutes walk to town yet on a hill so you felt away from it all. The seaview is the best I have ever seen. I could hear the waves lapping as I went to sleep. Also has a beach 1 minute walk away. Fab spot and kind hosts plus good breakfast overlooking the sea. It is a simple straightforward place to stay.

Review 18:The sea view

Review 19:The photos of the property are completely outdated. What you see is not what you get! Utterly disappointing.

Review 20:The location.

Review 21:Greek ospitality

Review 22:Amazing see view, located near the center but in a quiet place

Review 23:Spectacular view, close to the town yet very quiet. Friendly and accomodating personnel always available.

Review 24:The hard bed.

Review 25:The beautiful sea wiew from my balcony. Nice people who run the hotel.

Review 26:Close to Port Manager very friendly and helpful

Review 27:Great View from our room!!!!

Review 28:Dirty room with no air conditioned

Review 29:Only one thing the bed is too uncomfortable to sleep!

Review 30:Breakfast with sea view is amazing and the old-fashioned elevator surprise us!!!

Review 31:We enjoyed our stay at Nikolas Hotel in Paros from May 20-24, 2014. Our room was #201 and it had a small fridge and was very clean. We had a balcony that hung out over the rugged rocks and the sounds of the sea were terrific and relaxing. You can watch the ferries and sailboats come and go. There is also a quiet beach just to the left, lots of waves and the water was lovely. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Helped with phone call and bus schedules, a very nice man. A great breakfast was included with the room. There was juice, coffee, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, olives, oranges, cereal, breads, jam and of course Greek yogurt. We took a cab to our hotel from the ferry port, cost 5 Euros. We used the local buses to tour around during the day. Terrific sunsets from our balcony. This was our second trip to Paros and love it. Lots of great places to eat, one of our favourites is Yiannoulis.

Review 32:Affordable place on the Mediterranean Sea with a great view of the sunset. What else could you ask for. Its a short walk into town. Closest place on the water. Great breakfast buffet.

Review 33:We were there for four days and the water only luke warm, grumpy owner, poor breakfast, coffee not hot and weak, milk is evaporated with water added, owner keeps control of heater remote, bathrooms the smallest and dirtiest we have seen in four months, cannot get away from the cigarette smoke and in general, the place is run down and in very poor condition.

Review 34:The view

Review 35:the bed was not very comfortable but the room size was good.

Review 36:the location, you can pay 7Euro from the port to the hotel or you can walk for about 7minutes, I prefer walking, it isn't difficult to arrive. Near all the restaurants and shops of Parikia. The view form the room was awesome specially the sunset.

Review 37:The beds were a bit too hard, so we solved it by using the winter blankets underneath the bedlinen. The wifi gets weaker the further from the elevator you get and sometimes falls out.

Review 38:Friendly staff and nice, clean and spacious room. Great location a little away from the crowded area, but still only 5 minutes walk to central area of Parikia. Also nice area to stay in if you will kitesurf at Pounta. Choose a room with sea view if you want to see the nice sunsets. We would definitely return to this hotel again.

Review 39:Around 10 minutes walk to the center. Not a problem for me, but some might consider it an issue.

Review 40:Really great view over the sea and fantastic sunset. Relatively basic rooms, but great value for money. Will definitely stay here again next time on Paros.

Review 41:Very old furniture in the rooms. Very old building. Old and rusty bathroom. Asked for double bed but was placed in two single bed room instead. Old and unconfortable mattresses.

Review 42:View. Proximity to Parikia town. Friendly staff.

Review 43:The hotel would definitely do with some refurbishment. I do not mind old hotels/furniture but e.g the mattresses should be changed every few years -and the one we slept on was very old!

Review 44:One of the best features of this hotel was the location -it was EXCELLENT. Just a few minutes from Paroikia citycentre and the Port, everything was easily accessible. Another good thing about it was the view which was, the least, breathtaking especially at sunsets!

Review 45:Want a nice and quiet holiday ? Found at Nikolas Hotel....located in a quiet place, not far from the center and with a wonderful view...with the sea feet and the sunset on the balcony ... do not think you want nothing more...Very friendly staff, very clean hotel, everything is nice...

Review 46:Dated decor - reminded me of the sixties. No safe in room. No transportfrom Port but only cost 5€ in taxi.

Review 47:Very good value. Good location, big hotel with superb view over the bayfrom our balcony, only 10 minutes walk from the centre. Friendly helpfulstaff. Lift to take heavy cases to upper floor. Free wifi.

Review 48:Interrupted WiFi connection (which worked, nevertheless)

Review 49:Beautiful sea view, big room, nice comfortable lobby, friendly owner. Itwas easy to find the place, and it's not really far from the port,10 min walk along the sea. The beach is very close to the hotel.

Review 50:Friendly & helpful staff & great location.

Review 51:The location, right on a cliff facing the sea is superb.

Review 52:great sea view

Review 53:nothing to dislkike

Review 54:location excellent - and given sea view room when mountain view room was booked (it was end of season)

Review 55:Excellent sea view

Review 56:Staff at night time was a little rude

Review 57:Great location and price

Review 58:od hotel style, old fashioned facilities

Review 59:good price nice views

Review 60:Amazing sea views! Very nice staff, clean and tidy

Review 61:The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. Decor very dated.
