Review 1：Restaurant food reasonable but lacked variety and could improve the snacks available from the pool bar.

Review 2：Excellent location as a very pretty island but took a while to go into Rovinj as had to wait for the boat to load up luggage etc and generally long queues waiting to embark disembark each time . Hotel facilities good especially the large swimming pool.

Review 5：Not a fan of massive buffet dinners with people stuffing themselves like they hadn't eaten for days. Be careful on the adjacent island: since there are tourists that come for the day,for some reason they seem to refuse to use the facilities and some pretty spots and small paths are used as toilets (!!!!!). Other than that,everything was very clean.

Review 6：Great location,amazing views,lots of quiet and private spots on the shore,the Captain's club was awesome. The room was nice and clean. Buffett breakfast was pretty good.

Review 7：Air conditioning in room very poor so we turned it off and opened the patio door slightly instead which was much more effective. Staff on reception could have been a bit more friendlier and helpful and there was not enough information offered about excursions or places to see. Had to ask about everything but some available leaflets would have been handy as in other hotels we have visited have offered.

Review 13：We asked double bed on booking, but later we got confirmation of single beds so we contacted the hotel and they confirmed the double bed finally, but it was to single beds pushed together.. It was strange when i asked a corkscrew from room service on phone and they told me i can borrow one from the bar if i go for it. Also had to take our prosecco, glasses and cake to our room by ourselves without any help.

Review 15：It's a very big hotel so there were a lot of guests and with some people visiting the island it felt very congested at times. For instance even though we had no problem getting up early, you might lose out to your desired sunbathing spot due to the sheer volume of other guests! And beeakfast gets very busy after the first hour resulting in some queues for food!

Review 26：Did not understand why you had to pay for beach towel and chair/umbrella while at the beach since you pay so much for the hotel. The rooms could definitely use some renovations. You can tell they are old and have never had any updates. Room with balcony is also small, including the balcony.Would not recommend the grill or pizza place to eat...not really any other options for lunch but not worth the money!

Review 27：Everything was great overall. The beach is very rocky and not much beach room when traveling during the busy season. Did not understand why you had to pay for beach towel, chair/umbrella while at the beach since you pay so much for the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were great at the hotel and very worth it.

Review 30：Situated on a beautiful small island near Rovinj, this hotel is ideal for vacation with small children. The boat ride which takes 15 min. to and back from Rovinj was a big hit with the kids. The hotel was really nice, clean and confortable offering many possible activities for the kids and the adults as well.

Although poolside deck chairs reserved only for hotel guests, because there is no control were occupied by guests from outside of hotel. From the hotel restaurant food, fruit and beverages are taken out. Chefs from show cooking not prepare food properly. Reception desk staff were very good (Mr. Ivo). This hotel needs improvement to deserve four stars

Review 43：Hotel needs a 10 million euro update,staff need customer service training, as a "resort hotel" it is a failure by north american standards,when I contacted the hotel about a pair of pants I ledt behind they said I should arrange UPS to get them.. Review 45：We had half half board, sadly the food was shocking. The food was poor quality and tasteless, and the environment is very canteen style, clearly designed so you don't hang around too long. We had issues when we checked in, the lighting in our room didn't work. The guy on reception was really unhelpful and abnoxious (whilst we knew from other reviews that the staff there aren't into customer service, a lot of the staff were friendly and helpful) and he tried to give us a really poorly located room with vies of the conference centre. We insisted against this as we had paid for the superior room, and were then given a room with a view of the bay, and the lights worked!

Review 46：The location of the hotel is really great, whilst it is just the hotel that is on the island a lot of locals come over on the ferry as well to enjoy the beaches, which is clearly a great sign.

Review 50：The hotel was located on a island just a 15 minute ferry ride from the town of Rovinj. Although this sounds inconvenient it was anything but, as a complemtary ferry travelled to and from the island every hour between 6:00 and 00:00. Even without the ferry, the hotel offered everything that a holiday goer would need with restaurants, shops, wellness, 3 swimming pools and various bars. My girlfriend and I particularly enjoyed the small bar at the sea front (Captains club) where you could sit less than a metre from the water unobstructed watching boats go by and admire the spectacular views. If all of this didn't satisfy us ( which it did) we had the option to explore the town of rovinj with its beautiful night time scenery and lively atmosphere owing to the multiple restaurants right by the see front. There was a nice church located at the top of a central hill which was lit up at night and made for a nice postcard photograph whilst there were various boat tours on offer which we sadly didn't have time to fit in. Highly recommended hotel and destination!

Review 53：The hotel was not 4* quality when comapred to other hotels in the istria region. Reception staff not to welcoming and feiendly but other staff very deiendly. Photos of rooms posted online where touched-up and did not look the same when we arrived. Paid for superior room with a sea-view and ended up with a first floor room and a view of the pool. Eventually they gave us a different room.

Review 74：No wi-fi in the room, and even the one in the lobby is not good during the rush hours. Make sure the room they put you in has the same features as advertised on the web site. If it says the sea view is a must, you must claim it. The parking arrangements are terrible - you must arrive at the pier at a specific time, then follow the shuttle bus to the free car park located very far from the pier, and then come back to the pier with the shuttle bus. Meanwhile, the pier car park is full of tourists' cars, but I was told this parking was "unofficial" (whatever it means). There are two alternatives: park at the paid parking nearby (only 85 kuna per day), or at the back of the adjacent Hotel Park for free, but at your own risk. The staff at the pier are not ftiendly, unlike advertised. In fact, they do not belong to the hotel, but to an outsourced tour agency.

Review 75：A perfect getaway place on an island,great water in the sea, nice beaches, go to Captain's Club - a very relaxing bar by the water, fantastic views, do not miss a walk around the other part of the island (connected by a walkway). Dinner meal is very good, one must try the pan fried beef liver, simply delicious!

Review 76：The hotel was nice but definitely more on the "resort" type of hotel. Be prepared to pay for every service the hotel has to offer -- the towels cost $4 dollars to rent for the beach, the kayaks cost money for the rental, and there is no wifi in the rooms (only in the lobby and it is so slow we could not even process our online check-in). The ferry service runs once on the hour and make sure to get there early as it fills up! What is nice is that at least the ferry service is free for guests... Overall, I would say that you are much better off finding another hotel and just traveling to the island one day if you want to see it. The island gets packed with people not staying at the hotel (plus all of the hotel guests) and tends to just feel overcrowded and dirty.

Review 77：The island is beautiful and we perched ourselves on a rock for the entire day--swimming, taking the sun, and eating some fruit and cheese we bought at the market the day before.

Review 79：The island location on which this resort hotel is built is visually magnificent, combined with car-free tranquility. We spent happy hours swimming in the warm crystal clear water off both beach and rocks. The self service food choice and quality were both outstanding. Having an after dinner drink on the pier as the sun set was an especially tranquil memory.

Review 82：You need a boat to get to a continent and back, the last boat leaves to the island at 0:30, so if you plan crazy nights, it's not the best choise to stay at. Review 86：Some staff attitudes, especially beach / pooside cafe bar staff, who made me feel insignificant and invisible. I waited over 20 minutes to be served a bottle of water on one occasion.It was as if the staff were deliberately ignoring me and had an ability to look straight through me whilst serving others. Only 2 places to eat in the evening and the buffet option closed at 9.30 pm. Lanterna Restaurant is the other option. Here i also experienced the feeling of being completely ignored for reasons i have still not worked out. Waited 20 minutes and had to ask for a menu. Waiter appeared surprised. Got menu then waited another 20 minutes while they attended to everybody else. Had to ask again whether we could be served as nobody came anywhere near us. We did visit on 2 other occasions and the service was fine, so this was inexplicable. Also, on the same night in the cocktail bar, we were asked , very rudely whether we had paid as we were leaving. I was not happy at being accused and felt quite paranoid by the end of all this. Staff were definitely having a bad night.

Review 87：Good location , only 15 minute boat to Rovinj and all its bars and cafes. This is necessary as the Island itself only has 2 eateries, one of which is a buffet that closes at 9.30pm. Plenty of activities available on the Island and beautiful location . Located next to another island, full of wild life and accessible by foot or on bikes. Rooms are well furnished, clean and spacious and our superior room had a view of the sea. Maid service excellent and friendly. Breakfast buffet extensive and catered for all tastes.

Review 88：The attitude of some of the guests. The cleaners cleaned the room well but left all dirty glasses and cups for the whole duration of our stay. Guests put their towels on sunbeds hours before using them. Before 9 all sunbeds were taken with not one person on them. Couldn't work the aircon but just opened the balcony door anyway. Paying for sunbeds on the beach.

The restaurant next to the hotel, Lanterna had the best food in Rovinj, excellent friendly waitor, live music and beautiful views. Croatian wine. Great breakfast.
