Review 1：Aircondition was not working in our room. No big problem since the weather was cool at nights and it was easy to leave the balcony door open.

Review 6：Lack of staff. Only 4 staff, had to search for someone if you needed anything. Annya was great, but she had so much to do. The owner didn't speak any English, so difficult to communicate. No information available as what was available nearby. Had to try and find out from Annya, which we felt guilty about having to bother her all the time.

Review 8：There is to little staff, you have to wait hours for your diner and sometimes they serve you something else after long waiting. The staff is great and work very hard but the lady owner has a problem organizing well. Owner is very stressed, pity fot the staff they work very hard!

Review 10：Owner/manager seemed to favour clients from her homeland to the detriment of others. Service for the evening meal was extremely slow to the point where we left before the main course. Traffic on the road to Split is bad in high season.

Review 13：Aircon and fridge was not working - and it was 35 degrees Celcius! We had to sleep on the floor where the tiles where at least cooler than the bed. Wifi was so slow, that you might as well just give it up.

Review 15：When arriving at 6:00 o'clock pm, all the doors were closed both forreception and restaurant. We rang the bell and waited for 10 minutes butno answer. We called the hotel on the phone and finally somebody cameand open the door. After bad english apologise we were offered thebooked room and went to check it. Bad smell was coming from the bathroomand they said it is from the pipes and cannot do anything, but if wekeep the bathroom door closed we have no problem. Air conditioning wasvery poor and was hardly helping during the hot day. The little fridgewas also out of order and the drinks were warm. We had a very bad stayand when paying we had to pay extra 60 eur for which they said noinvoice can be issued. I refused to pay without an invoice and after anold women, probably the boss was consulted, they managed to issue aninvoice. Another one from their staff was chasing me in the parkingplace asking for extra payment for some wine missing from the minibar,after going back to check with her the minibar she adminited thatinittialy she checked a wrong room by mistake. I left the hotel Suncewith a very bad tased. I don't recommend this hotel.

Review 21：First night we couldnt get our sea view room with the balcony and we were very unhappy about it. But they gave us bigger room for first night (without balcony), moved all our staff, were very apologetic....finally i could say and bad word about service.

Review 22：Its very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Directly on a beach and very close to Split city. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Anything we needed they tried to help with. Balcony sea view is amazing. Excellent for quiet relaxing break.

Review 23：The staff are unorganised and not that helpful. I booked the suite with the best view as it was our anniversary, on arrival we were given a choice of a room (1 double bed with 3 of us) or a smaller suite with a side view, the room I requested was given to the proprietors family. Slooooooowwwww service, waited over an hour for a drink, the co-owner served himself?!! Took 3 hours in total to be served 2 drinks and a meal (just the one course!) Didn't go back for the rest of the holiday.

Review 24：Loved the Country, really no good points about the hotel. The only facility they provided (hair dryer) didn't work! The indoor pool was freezing cold, suitable for a penguin or polar bear. The "Gym" was a running machine. The sauna was chargeable.

Review 25：A friendly owner and a good position on the beach. It was very easy to get into Split to visit the Old Town. There were some good restaurants in walking distance.

Review 26：Surprisingly tiny room, too small even to open a suitcase (and staff claimed it to be the "large" one...) Two single beds: switching to a double bed room required a downgrade but with no price reduction (!) Poor breakfast buffet, featuring a few brownish apple slices, a single aged kiwi, a couple of sweetish pastries (carrying over the time we stayed) There was also something else like eggs but we didn't dare to try them.

Review 29：Choose this 3 star hotel for our 5 night break for its location right on the beach. It's a small friendly hotel . The owner speaks no English but two of her staff do & they are very helpful. Rooms were spotless with lovely ensuite & balcony overlooking the sea. It had everything we required for our stay. It's outside split but very easy to get bus in & out to Split a short walk from hotel. We ate at hotel one evening & the other evenings walked along the beach to a couple of lovely restaurants with beautiful idyllic settings. I would love to go again.

Review 30：Too many rules. Hidden charges. €15/hr for sauna. Pathetic 'swimming' pool. Smell from bathroom. Unhelpful staff. Noisy main road adjacent. General scruffiness of area. Poor breakfast.

Review 39：The staff are a marvellous asset to this hotel. Always courteous, very helpful and appropriately attentive. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy and the daily housekeeping was exceptionally thorough. The room was well equipped. The breakfast suited us, plenty of fresh fruit,cereals and yogurt, plus. the usual selection of meats, breads and croissants. Eggs were available to order. The breakfast service was again excellent from the staff. The pool area looked attractive although we did not use it, we save it for the next visit.

Review 41：Very clean and comfortable room with a large terrace and sea view, tasty breakfast and friendly owner. Wi-fi is very important for my job and it was excellent. Nice location only a few minutes from Split. If you don't have your own car, there is a bus station about 100-150m far from this nice hotel. I will come next summer with my friends.

Review 43：Hotel is very pleasant, stylish and classy. We even had a nice meal in the hotel restaurant, very nice with suitable price. The reception staff is very polite and welcomed us warmly. Our room like the whole hotel is very clean and big enough. We loved the sound of the sea in the morning and we shall come back as soon as possible. Review 44：Location, 10 minutes away from Split. We had comfortable beds,good wifi. Hotel staff was very kind and helpfull. Breakfast was served very early on our demand and was very good. Hotel is extremly clean and furniture is rather new.

Review 47：We had booked a suite with a balcony and view on the sea. Instead, we got a room without a balcony and with a view on a staircase and a wall, and on the indoor swimming pool.( A room that is not even listed on the website). At the time of four arrival there was no other room available. The receptionist said we might be able to move to a proper room two nights later, which we refused- we stayed seven nights...AND in the end, we were charged the price of the room booked, though we asked for a discount. We tried to discuss it with the owner, but she did not even consider our arguments. This is the only reason we wouldn't go back, otherwise it is a nice hotel. Too much greed, too little generosity. Too bad :(.

Review 69：Hotel Sunce is a small family hotel. It has everything a guest could want. We enjoyed the delicious dishes from the restaurant and tempted wonderful local wines. Ms. Mira was very friendly and helpful, as well as rest of the staff. The room was very comfortable and clean and has a beautiful view of the sea. Highly recomended!

Review 70：Friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, large parking area, beautiful view from the balcony. Upon arrival we visited the restaurant of the hotel and enjoyed a wonderful evening. Breakfast, which is included in the price was very rich and tasty. We absolutely will be back! :)

Review 71：It is pretentious and overpriced. The settings is uncomfortable andunwelcomed. The staff is unfriendly and hardly speaks rudimentaryEnglish. If your room is on the second floor, prepare to drag yourluggage down to the first floor and then up the stairs to second.You'll be offered no assistance, and staff will get annoyed if youask them to bring you the beach umbrella. But they will lend you abeach towel for $4 a day. Don't dare to park your car properly onthe hotel's little parking lot, it will be blocked with nohesitation and you'll stack there at your on expense. They willalso do you a great favor by charging the customers in Euro or Dollarwith about 5% mark-up rate and with little disclosure in English that"you've been offered the choice of currencies and agree tochoose the conversion". That is false and ridiculous because theycommunicate English as well as we communicate Croatian. Stay away.There are many more family run places that will welcome your businessalong Croatian coast.

Review 73：Was a bit too far away from any town or centre of interest. Split was nearest town of any interest - approx. 8miles away. Buses were unreliable getting into Split. Didn't think it rated a four star.

Review 75：Many things were desappointing. Our room was the smallest room I´ve ever been in my life. It was even difficult to open the baggage inside. The shower was ridicously small too. I´m not exagerating, my complexion is absolutly normal. I don´t know if all the rooms are like this, but our room was like this. We wondered if we had been given a single room instead of a double. One of the three nights we spent there nobody cleaned and made the bed in our room. And finally when we went to pay the owner, a woman that don´t speak a word of english made the exchangue of kunas to euros in a extrange way that made it 15 euros more expensive. We tried to speak about this with her she didn´t answer. We had to take a ship to an island and we could´n´t spent a lot of time arguing with someone that also didn´t speak english... It was impossible.... (and it as not the tourist fare). on the other hand we were like fifteen minutes trying to pay because she didn´t know how to make the facture! It was a really horrible experience....

Review 78：We took the overnight ferry from Ancona so we arrived at 8:00 am hopingwe could stash our gear and dry out from the rain that seem to befollowing us across Europe. To our delight, Ita, who spoke excellentEnglish, put us at ease and ushered us down to the dining room so wecould have coffee and breakfast - She was so friendly and accommodatingthat we immediately knew we pick a great little hotel on the water just10 minutes from Split. While we waited for our room, we enjoyed a greatbreakfast prepared by Ita and walked a short distance to a local market.Our room was very clean and had an incredible patio overlooking the Adriatic. We stayed three nights at this small gem on the coast and were spoiled by Ita and the friendly service she provided. We ate dinner one night at the hotel, on the outdoor patio. The owner, Mira, was our chef and our meals were excellent. Mira doesn't speak English, but she tried hard to communicate when Ita wasn't there to translate. She was quite friendly to us and shared her home made liquor with us one evening. We did get to enjoy the private beach and bar due to the crazy May weather, but it looked inviting. Ita was so helpful with directions, ferry schedules and recommendations - it made our stay that much better.

Review 79：Great STAFF, very helpful!! Very nice and clean rooms, the breakfast was really good too! The hotel is MAYBE 5-10 minutes from Old Town but is nice because you are still very close but not in all of the super tourist traffic. Highly recommend this hotel, also ENGLISH friendly. Thanks for a great stay and I will stay again on my return.

Review 81：The staff were uniformly friendly and professional, the owner/manager personally keeping an eye on the business. Two of the staff spoke good English, although German seems more common in this part of Croatia. The beach is right in front of the hotel. he rooms on the first floor where we stayed had large terraces with easy chairs and a table and wonderful view to the island of Brac across the sea. They also have a small pool that could be useful off-season.
