Review 1：We paid a fair bit of money given that we were there around NYE but it was worth it

Review 2：The vast hotel grounds have multiple pools, multiple bars, bike hire, chess boards and lots more. The staff were always helpful and we got a free upgrade to a superior Lombok hut with an outdoor bathroom/shower, which was great!

Review 3：Our first room was standard room the air con didn't work and the shower broke, they did fix shower straight away but we were moved to a different room which the air con did work and was upgraded free to a better room. You did have to walk down strairs to get to the bathroom and the shower was outside but was an experience!

Review 4：The location was good far from the bars but close enough to walk. Donkey ride from the port was an experience! The pillows in our room were amazing!

Review 5：Went out snorkelling which reception helped us organise with the onsite provider, had a great day and all staff on the boat were great, just a little surprised by the boat we went out on, wasn't in the best of shape, just not in keeping with the experience that the hotel offers.

Review 8：The pool was dirty and they never changed the towels. Also the roon was never cleaned. They just made the bed. The breakfast was exactly the same for allthe 7 days we have spent there.

Review 12：Our villa was rarely cleaned and there were mice running around at night - we had droppings on the floor which were never cleaned up over the week that we were there. A number of times the cleaning staff took our dirty towels but forgot to replace them leaving us in the shower with nothing to dry ourselves. The buffet breakfast was the same every day and was pretty average. We chose to stay here due to the pool facilities but there were never any sunbeds available to use - guests far outweighed the number of sunbeds. Further - we stayed in a traditional villa which had a steep staircase to the ground floor to access the outdoor bathroom - this was difficult as you had to duck your head to travel down the stairs safely and there was no landing at the top of the stairs which was very unsafe!

Review 16：The pool was filthy had fungus, slime and vomit in the pool and it was never cleaned during our stay. It was cloudy and needed more chemicals.

Review 22：Never seen a more beautiful pool. Delicious breakfast and superiour customer service. Room service food/ the restaurant is incredible and extremely affordable. The traditional lumbung hut room is well air-conditioned, extremely relaxing and cosy.

No airconditioning for breakfast so all fruit & water was warm. Lot of stray cats coming in & out. Outdoor movie wasn't free like I thought. $5.00 which included popcorn.

Review 24：Villa definitely worth it. Grateful we had our own clean pool & outdoor area (with fridge) to relax in. Bikes were fantastic even though I hadn't rode one for a long time. Managed to get around very easily. Not sure if it was extremely busy that I would like to contend with all other bike riders but my teenage kids loved it & beats the walking in the heat for sure.

Review 25：Great location right on the beach. They have the options of two pools-make sure to find the more hidden one in the back (we found it our last day). Beds are comfortable; facilities are clean. Woke up every am to paradise!

We had quite a rude person on the other end of the phone when we ordered room service. And all the food from the breakfast buffet to the in room dining was average to say the least especially for the money they charge. The pools were also very dirty.

Review 34：That the AC only worked part of the time and when the power went off and came back on the ac did not come on leaving the room to cook when you are away. The bathroom was very dirty and had many cob webs that did not get cleaned ever. The sheets had blood on them and made us wonder if they got changed regularly. It is on the main street but at the end so get a ride if you have large luggage. Oh and make sure you have the same deal as your firends because we paid more than our friends that paid on the same way and computer as we did minutes before us and they paid less. They would not match the price.

Review 36：Great location in main area that's close to restaurants, bars and beach. Walking distance to everything. Hired a bike and rode around the island in 1 1/2 hours at a leisurely pace. Pool bar and pool in general were great and staff were friendly. Breakfast had everything you could want. About a 10 min walk from the harbour where the boats drop you off - turn left off the beach. You can take the horse and cart if you like, but it is easily walked. Didn't have any problems with ATMs or changing money at the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel and it looks like one of the very few on this side of the island with a beach view. Also was upgraded upon arrival which was great.

Review 37：Unfortunately there was ants in the room, and as the bathroom is outside there was also a number of geekos above/around the toilet. It didn't bother us, but it may bother you if you are scared of insects and creepy crawlies. But I am sure all other hotels on the island have the same problem as it is a remote island so if you are travelling to the Gili islands you should expect this.

Review 38：We got upgraded on arrival to a private villa with a pool which was lovely. Breakfast was included in the price and there was a good selection. The hotel was one of the better hotels on the island and is at the end of the main strip, so close to other bars and restaurants, but far enough that you don't get all the noise from the bars late at night. We hired bikes from the hotel and they were really good to get around the island to snorkel at different locations.

Review 48：1. The room is so awful. Terrible: old furniture, ugly decoration, apparent infiltration on the walls. Nothing like the pictures showed on the web site. 2. The air conditioning was really bad inside the room and was not working properly. Was really hot. 3. The sink and the water tap were in very bad condition. 4. Every single thing has to be payed: bicycles from the hotel, any service in the spa, fitness classes and even to stay on the beach watching their movie exhibition (*old movie!) I thought that was not fair and not to much honest since they show these things in the hotel web site as part of the nice things that they offer. And since the price is quite high comparing with others on the same place, some of these things should be included.

Review 49：There were only 2 things that we liked at this hotel: 1. The breakfest was nice with a lot of options of fruit, bread, juice,... 2. One of the pools was nice. (*there were two and one of them was awful: old, ugly and not too clean).

Review 50：Villa room is a bit rundown and needs refurbishment. Hotel room was real nice but unfortunately the air condition was not serviced regularly. Had to sleep with no air conditioning. Tried to call all service numbers (ie housekeeping...frontdesk...bellboy) but there was no answer at 11pm.

Seriously, I think they need a renovation the room because the bathroom floor is very sleek and the rock floor is very sharp. But we enjoyed our night in Gili!

My husband badly injured,though treated by the in-house doctor but not enough since feel pain at his butt, can't walk properly, my vacation gone since cant enjoy much of it..the hotel not even offer a thorough check up to my husband. The doctor should be more meticulous in his treatment to patient..first the doctor just let my husband go without checking though already informed by my husband that there is a tear to the foot finger but ignored..if not for the scary bleeding when my husband tried to walk, they will let it go as if nothing happened. Until now my husband still feel the pain at his butt..not even a complimentary stay..the only thing they considered was the free meal n medical bills arranged by the manager..

Review 90：Mr Adam is an excellent manager of the resort I had an genuine issue to which he quickly rectified, the pool to the rear is well maintained and the gardens well manicured in this location too. Breakfast buffet great.

Review 91：staff were not too welcoming - it lacked that great Indonesian hospitality we have seen elsewhere. We realise that we were on a island but our room was full of ants! We would expect that from the huts accommodation on the island but not a hotel. Breakfast was good and a wide range (everything you would expect from a buffet breakfast) but service was slow and one day there was an event I believe so meant breakfast had to be moved to somewhere else after a particular time. This was fine however they got the timings completely wrong and half the hotel has to be shuttled back on forth to different places for about 30mins before we could even have breakfast. There was no apology either just an expectation to move.

Review 92：Location was ideal - far enough away from the busy harbour and bars yet close enough to enjoy it. Was a comfortable room. Pool was nice and great to relax after a day by the beach or skuba diving.

Review 93：A bit expensive, the door leading to the open air bathroom did not close properly so insects found their way easily into the room - one evening I discovered a big cockroach strolling on the bed!!

Review 95：The pool was full of algae and could have been cleaned better. If you leant on or sat near the edges it left green stains on your swimwear. If we used the pool closest to our room you couldn't charge to our room as it was considered a different hotel

Review 96：Beautiful rooms (we stayed on the Pearl of Trawangan side) with outdoor bathroom which was a novelty. Breakfast was nice, food at hotel was good and well priced. Great location, quiet at night but close enough to stroll down to any of the bars/restaurants without needing transport or a bike.

Review 97：The hut was awesome the staff put yellow umbrellas at our entrance for our honeymoon. It had an outdoor bathroom which was cool, amazing view from our balcony we could see the ocean and sunrises. Bartenders were great, staff was overall very attentive.

Review 98：Staff was unfriendly, breakfast was not on level of a four star hotel (bad fruit tasteless, no natural juices, toaster was not working....), even we were clients we did need to pay for the outdoors cinema and also for the activities in the swimming pool. We were already paying a lot for the hotel!!!!

Review 100：The breakfast has a good selection but it was disappointing - also look out for flies in the pancake batter! The beach area only has limited sunbeds so you will have to go early if you want one.

Review 101：Vila Ombak is beautifully designed with lots of chill places such as beds and hammocks outside and giant chess boards which look great and you can make use of if you so choose. We stayed in a deluxe room which has a bed/couch which really means a double bed each if you are sharing with a friend. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom has a small rock garden. The hidden pool and pool bar is perfect for relaxing or you can head across the road to the beach. Near the Pearl restaurant which we considered the best on the island. Also conveniently near ATMs and a shop.

Review 102：Highly disappointed with this place. Very expensive for what it was. Was advertised as a terrace room with lovely raised bamboo ceilings, instead was put downstairs in a dull concrete block. Was sick a few days, looked for room servIce menus or even drinks, neither, no mini bar, no room servIce menu. Got some laundry done before i left, few t shirts, few pairs of shorts and a few pairs of underwear, nearly $30 and i had to go find them after it was a day and a half late. There's better places for similar prices. I'll be going to Pearl next door next time. Shower gels were never filled, they ran out the second day. Definitely never again!

Review 113：I booked a superior terrace room. The pictures on your website for this particular room showed an upstairs loft room with balcony. When we arrived we were put in a ground floor room which did not have the same level of privacy this annoyed me because I specifically booked the superior terrace room judging by the pictures displayed on your website. This trip was for mine and my partners 5 year anniversary and the ground floor room did not deliver the experience I was expecting considering how much I was paying per night for the room. I feel the pictures on your website are misleading and should display all options to ensure customers are not feeling cheated when they arrive and are put in rooms that do not resemble the pictures on your website at the time of booking. At the least the ground floor room should be discounted and customers should be able to select which option they prefer.

Very disappointing of course! Also the mattresses on the sunbeds around the pools were revolting: dirty and full of white (water/sweat?) marks. Very unappetising. All in all the swimming pools are a disaster but the rest is fine.

Review 120：The hotel had overbooked our rooms so we stayed in a villa with private pool for one night. The villa was great, the pool was delightful and very clean. Fantastic buffet breakfast with lots of choice and delicious food. Very nice staff.

Review 121：Food, in general - including breakfast - was a little mainstream and bland but seafood grill was fresh and delicious. It was difficult to get a spot at the pool after 10am and the towel return policy was a little ridiculous. Food /drink and services were pricey.

Review 133：This will sound strange but got a free upgrade and not as good as original choice. Should have stayed with my original booking.

Review 134：Pools and breakfast fantastic. Garden surroundings were beautiful.

Review 135：The bed sunk in the middle and a few things in the room needed to be replaced e.g. the kettle and the lamps. Also, lighting in the room was really dim making it difficult to read and the bathroom was especially dark, no chance of reading on the toilet!!!

Review 136：Great location, great pools and grounds were well maintained, food and drinks were pretty good and well priced for this sort of establishment. Offers of bicycle rental, spa, movies etc. were great.

Review 137：The hotel location is great!, only a few minutes walking to many restaurants and convenient stores. My daughter and i stayed in the traditional lumbung hut. The room arrangement and decoration is like a traditional Lombok house, very unique and fun. We loved the outdoor bathroom; it was a new experience and a different feeling to shower under the stars with the cool breeze from the sea. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for pak Mada and his team! (just a note: i would not recommended this room for the elderly or those who has trouble going up/down the stairs).

Review 138：The pool at the front of the hotel didn't seem very clean

Review 139：Villa Ombak was great! The service was great, the room was lovely, the breakfast and pool snacks were also really nice! Great location, only a 10 minute walk to the busy restaurants and bars!
