Reviews for Super Hotel Osaka Natural Hot Springs

Review 1:Room is small and packed, hard to move around if you have suitcase.

Review 2:The natural spring is the BEST!!!! I went every day for half an hour. Definitely worth it. The stuff is super polite.

Review 3:Location was rather far from subway station though bus stops were right in front of hotel . Especially convenient to take bus no. 88 from and to Osaka station

Review 4:Twin room was sizeable for us. Spa was good and clean.

Review 5:No closet to put your belongings, only a hole in the wall. No sky can be seen from the window, just ugly wall with some windows.

Review 6:Good location (close to International Congress Center), nice staff. Very quiet.

Review 7:Rooms were a little small but nevertheless well furnished and clean.

Review 8:For the price, they offer very good service. Very clean and proper rooms. Enjoyed the hot springs very much. The breakfast was also very good.

Review 9:The breakfast does not contain labels of what meat/fish/eggs/... it contains. Therefore if you do not eat everything it is difficult to find things to eat in the morning.

Review 10:Very Far from Jr train Not convenient if have big luggage because it is needed to walk about 10 mins to subway station

Review 11:Good Hot spring at the center of Osaka Friendly and helpful staffs Good Breakfast Clean Bed , safety with security code

Review 12:A little far from the JR lines, location overall seemed very out of the way from all things Osaka.

Review 13:Clean and comfortable hotel perfect for a business trip or a quick stay. Very beige, very clean, your average sorta hotel.

Review 14:Not a good location if you're looking for a big night out nearby. But easy train ride away from great sites.

Review 15:Fantastic onsen. Near a few restaurants. Quiet. Near a train station and a convenience store.

Review 16:This hotel is a little far away from train stations so you'll have to take the bus or walk a ways to get to one.

Review 17:Excellent staff service! Could speak English explained a lot of their facilities very well, and provide a warm greeting and farewell at the front desk everytime. They also give a lot of amenities like custom pillows, hot springs robes, bathroom salts etc every night.

Review 18:a little bit far away from subway station , have to walk like 5mins, and there is no elevator from subway underneath to ground exit , hard for people who carries big suitcase .

Review 19:nice service

Review 20:Pillows were too firm 2 hour breakfast service was short especially if you would like to sleep-in a while longer

Review 21:Location was near subway and was easy to get to from Kansai Airport Staff were courteous and very helpful Using the onsen was a great experience

Review 22:Nothing to really dislike

Review 23:Nothing to dislike, save that location was not central, but some may like that. Anyway, the subway station is only 5-10mins walk away and then Namba is just two stops down the line.

Review 24:Great value for money, with the best onsen I've been to in a hotel. Really friendly & helpful staff & in a convenient location, close to the subway

Review 25:On second day (Sep 03) at the morning around110:30, a big guy (housekeeping staff) knocked and opened my door very quickly without waiting my response. Luckly, I put the security bar, or scare me and my wife.

Review 26:Stayed 5 night at this hotel. Staffs at Front Office and Hot Spring are friendly, courtesy and always with smile. Enjoyed the hot spring every night. Will come back again.

Review 27:Need to make sure you come out of the right subway exit (#10) or you may be confused in getting to the hotel.

Review 28:Very nice to have hot spring on site. Staff are fluent in many foreign languages. You can pick your own pillow during your stay.

Review 29:I liked everything about the hotel. I think I would go back to Osaka to stay in this hotel again. Only one thing I would request is to have the names of the dishes on the menu card in English as well. That would just be the cherry on top.

Review 30:I loved everything about the hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing. Each and everyone of them are very warm and welcoming and I felt very much at home. Especially Haruki was very friendly and I felt very touched by her pleasant manners. I liked the hot spring also very much. The room was perfect for a solo traveler and it had everything I could ask for. The location is also very convenient. Perfect value for money.

Review 31:Lovely spa hotel with great facilities including extensive hot springs bath (onsen). Friendly staff, free gifts and conveniently close to the station.

Review 32:room is small, a little bit expensive

Review 33:free hot spring with breakfast, location is good enough, 5 mins walk from station. staffs are nice, easy to communicate.

Review 34:- Location not idea if you want to be in the action 10 mintues by train to central osaka - small room

Review 35:-Very Friendly Staff -Clean - Free Drinks - Great onsen facitlties nice natural hot springs

Review 36:room size is really too small for 2 persons, bathroom ventilation can be better

Review 37:very polite staffs, clean and silent hotel with hot spring facilities, easy check-in and check-out process, free juice in the morning, traffic is easy

Review 38:The room smells wired every time I came back from outside.

Review 39:1. The transportation is convenient. 2. There are convenient shops and restaurants nearby. 3. The staff are nice.

Review 40:The only thing I did not like was that there was no direct transportation from the hotel to Kansai International Airport.

Review 41:The onsen, the location, and the friendly staff.

Review 42:We ordered a double-bunk bed but they did not make up the top bunk for our use. We were asked to do it ourselves.

Review 43:Informative staff, public hot spring bath

Review 44:nothing

Review 45:The receptionists can speak good English and provide any information we need. Most impotant of all, the receptionists offer the best help for us, such as receiving the packages and translating Japanese we do not understand.

Review 46:bathroom is a bit too small

Review 47:The hotspring bath is awesome, staff were so friendly and helpful and the room itself was so clean albeit a little bit too small for size of the hotel.

Review 48:The onsen was a fantastic experience. While westerners like myself might be unsettled at first by the nudity aspect, you quickly get over it and enjoy a beautiful and relaxing experience. We followed our spa experience with a great massage at a great price. The staff was very helpful and kind. The facilities and location were also great. I will always come back to this hotel if they have availability!

Review 49:The endless walk through Awasa station, bags & stairs. Stairs only last section. Found closer route next day. Better directions would help greatly .

Review 50:Comfortable room. Facilities good. Staff good. Breakfast buffet good, western or Japenese.i

Review 51:The hot springs is small and crowded. Maybe because of the natural springs, the pool looks dirty. The temperature is too low. Room is extremely small, especially the bathroom. Check out time is 10 am. If you don't get out on time. They will charge you 500 yen per person. The whole hotel looks pretty cheap.

Review 52:The hidden gem is a local supermarket next to the hotel. So convienient and good place to take a look of local life. Super strong discount on deli food after 10 pm. We bought a big sashimi platter for only 400 yen. The range is complete and very local. If you are planing to take snacks, ingredient or cooking condiments back, this place is much better than the grocery stores in tourism spots which only sells unified stuff for tourists. The pillow is comfortable. And free drinks in the morning.

Review 53:some area is noisy, for example in hot springs too many travellers speak loudly. Hope the hotel give some travellers notice on the wall

Review 54:good services, nice staff, good location and comfortable place. You will feel relax

Review 55:I have to pay for my own breakfast, but still, it was totally worth it!

Review 56:Interestingly, going for breakfast at the hotel is something I look forward to every morning as the dishes available are really tasty and nutritious! In particular, the Japanese-style dishes that is.

Review 57:The location is a little bit out of the way, requiring 2 subway lines to get to Umeda or Namba stations (still decent food places near by though for dinner.) Onsen rules not entirely clear even with the instructions provided.

Review 58:Staff was very helpful, there was usually at least 2 helpful staff behind the desk (more often 3) and there are a range of pillows in the foyer if you don't like the one provided in your room (they do go quick though, so get in early.) Has it's own basement onsen (hotspring bath.)

Review 59:The location is a little far from the subway station.

Review 60:The onsen experience was great! After a long day traveling, it felt good to visit the onsen to have a good and relaxing bath :) The staffs are very welcoming and the room is clean and comfortable.

Review 61:I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful. I would especially like to mention the name of Ms. Momoe Yanagiuchi at the front desk who was exceptional in the way she took care of the guests.

Review 62:no bad experience

Review 63:The location of the hotel is excellent, near to Awaza station exit 9 and to Osaka Convention centre. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The comfort and the breakfast were good. Check-in and check-out were also very smooth.

Review 64:the hotel room is small as expected in Japan

Review 65:The hot spring experience is good, the facility is a bit packed in sakura season but is still good. Location is also convenient close to metro station.

Review 66:The location is hard to get to, you will have to taxi due to it not being near any station. Quite a cramp room.

Review 67:The onsen is huge and luxurious, the wifi is fast.

Review 68:Although hotel was 10 min away from the subway station, its surroundings were not that great but no big deal. Room was comfortable enough but had a smell of smoke, even though we chose a non-smoking room.

Review 69:Guests can enjoy japanese-style bath with natural spring water (onsen) free of charge, a nice way to relax after a long day.

Review 70:Location may be a weak point for some as it requires some walking. Recommend taking taxi if you are coming from overseas

Review 71:My third time at this hotel. Very good overall, good facilities, quiet and clean. Had trouble with wi-fi so was moved to a nicer room. Will stay again.

Review 72:After 6 nights bed was playing up our backs, no guests with tattoos allowed in hot springs so I couldn't go in!

Review 73:Helpful staff, great coffee at breakfast, quiet room on upper floor. Laundry available for all. Only 10 min walk to Noda Station and less than that to subway Awaza. Shop located on corner too!

Review 74:800m far away from the subway, unreasonable rules for 3pm check in and 10am check out; quite small hot spring pool and hotel rooms; price is high compared to other similar hotels.

Review 75:rooms are clean and with natural hot spring

Review 76:Loved the hot springs access! Would have been a good experience even without that, though. Little room was clean and comfortable. Excellent WIFI. Generous, nice-quality toiletries provided. Quiet neighborhood (in spite of nearby highways) near a subway station, so got everywhere I wanted easily. Staff was very nice, though English skills were limited.

Review 77:amenities are poor, room smell not satisfying, pillow is strange (but perhaps a change is possible)

Review 78:Hot Springs Bath, stuff, location not bad, easy check out

Review 79:The staff could be trained more for faster check-in, but they are all friendly.

Review 80:Hot spring is helpful for relaxing the muscles, and the breakfast buffets taste really good.

Review 81:If my friends will trip the Osaka, I recommend this hotel--Super Hotel City Osaka & Natural Hot Springs. Rooms are not big, which is common in business hotels in Japan. But the place is clean and comfy. Staffs are nice and they try their very best to help you. And one of them can speak nice Chinese who is the girl from Taiwan. And the other one reception has a cordial talk with me.

Review 82:The room was a bit smaller than I'd expected.

Review 83:Staff were responsive and courteous at all times. The ability to select your own type of pillow was a great touch for someone who generally never gets a pillow they fully like in hotels. The hot springs are a must try.

Review 84:No complaints whatsoever. May have to walk a distance to the nearest JR station if using a railpass. Otherwise, taking private line, its pretty near to Awaza station and accessible.

Review 85:Single room was cosy and with very well-maintained facilities. Hot spring is pretty famous around the area and is open at convenient timings for all to use. Love the touch of healthy-living in this hotel, the benefits of its free-flow ion water are everywhere. Convenience of nearby eating places and conbinis as well.

Review 86:Small room, which is to be expected in Japan.

Review 87:Central location, near Awaza station, easy to travel to major tourist destinations on the Green or Pink subway lines, and easy transfer to JR lines as well. Good wifi, 7eleven close by for groceries. Free yukata each night.

Review 88:The twin bed was only the size of a single. The spa/onsen was filled past capacity, so was not enjoyable. You had to get an extra pillow immediately upon check-in as they were 'sold out' later.

Review 89:A busroute went directly to Osaka station.

Review 90:It's a bit of a walk from the train and if you have big luggage it's a bit of a hassle... It's also hard to find (though we did arrive at midnight) so more instructions would be lovely.

Review 91:Loved the onsen, the staff, the free drinks and the comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel had lots of maps and information about Osaka that was helpful for us.

Review 92:These rooms and beds are smaller than usual, even by Japanese standards. I highly doubt that two averaged-sized Westerners would fit in one bed. The bathrooms in the rooms stink like urine and mildew. They should try using some bleach. Inflexible cleaning schedule that makes no sense considering hotels all over the world have no problem accommodating guests who like to sleep in. Location is about a 10 minute walk to the train but nothing else nearby for tourists.

Review 93:Great amenities especially for female guests. Not sure if male guests receive the special toiletries kits. Towels, linens, and robes were clean and replaced daily even if room wasn't cleaned. Free drinks from the vending machine is nice. They only provide one bottle of water per room which makes no sense if there are two guests. Some staff members are more friendly than others, but overall they are helpful. Toothbrush kit provided every day and unused kits can be returned for small snacks or flower/herb seeds.

Review 94:There is nothing much in this area so there's nothing to do after dark. Quite far from city center. Unless you dearly want to try out the spa, I would not recommend this place.

Review 95:The spa is not bad but too small and usually too crowded, especially in the changing area. They provide free drinks from the venting machine from 6.30am-9am. About 3 minutes walk from exit 9 of Awaza subway station.

Review 96:About 20 minutes walk to JR Noda station.

Review 97:Onsen downstairs with various choices and the welcoming skin care bag for ladies. Very warm greetings by staff for every morning. Very clean room and bathroom. 7-11 is just 30 seconds away.

Review 98:Everything was satisfying without location because underground station (Awaza) is situated quite far from the hotel. but it's possible to borrow bikes and the street is interesting from the hotel to the station.

Review 99:The location is a little bit out of the loop. There are some restaurants but for the more cosy places you have to travel so thats good to realise.

Review 100:The spa is small but nice, just enough to let you unwind.

Review 101:1) OMG FAR FROM OSAKA STATION! DAMN! 2) alittle dirty 3) Room super duper small, couldn't even open my luggages 4) toilet super small.

Review 102:1) Breakfast was good when only $8 SGD was aid. 2) Receptionist were friendly and helpful

Review 103:A little bit far distance from subway(Awaza) which takes around 10-15 minutes walking so I think its location might not be suitable for the elderly.

Review 104:Clean, nice and kindly staffs, welcome gifts when check in, good onsen, friendly hotel to the nature, free water at the lobby floor, many kinds of pillow you can choose at the front of reception desk. You could smell herbal odor when you come in the hotel which make you more fresh after a long trip.

Review 105:Bathroom was a little tight, but OK; location was a little out of the way, but only 10 minutes walk to the subway, and another 10 minutes to anywhere in central Osaka.

Review 106:Friendly and helpful staff; value for money; hot springs bathing; cleanliness; room was big compared with standard Japanese hotel rooms; nice comfortable pillow.

Review 107:the bathroom was not at clean as the last time i stayed at this hotel, could use a better cleaning around sink, tub etc

Review 108:good price, free wi-fi, liked the "public bath "onsen". Clean room.

Review 109:We had small double room which was really small (limited to space to put somewhere luggage).

Review 110:SPA facilities, professional staff, service overall (you can choose your own type of pillow).

Review 111:No double curtain in the room. Just a couple of hangers.

Review 112:The onsen (Japanese spa) open until 2 am!!!! Staff super-super helpful and welcoming (always smiling). Beauty welcome kit for the ladies. Eco attitude.

Review 113:Not very foreign friendly. Tv channels in rooms are only in Japaneselanguage (and there are about 60 of them). No international channels inEnglish, and even less likely to have any French, Spanish channel. Mostof labels are only in Japanese.

Review 114:Location is convenient, although not the most commercial area.Possibility to use the spa and relax for free with direct accessfrom the room.

Review 115:you can enjoy variety type of onsen and sauna. about 7 minute from subway station which is two stop from Namber. The room is a bit small but comfrortable and clean. Breakfast is satisfactory.

Review 116:Room is a bit small and you have to be nude to use the SPA facilities, there is no exception.

Review 117:Location, service, staff, almost everything was great! Osaka convention center is only 800 meters away from the hotel.

Review 118:We found dirty on the shower curtain. The reception agree to change it but it were not happen. The near subway has only the stair, it 's hard to carry big luggage.

Review 119:Apply automatic check out. No need to contact reception. The hotel have ice machine and provide for free.

Review 120:- (minor) the access-code-door system is a little bit strange

Review 121:+ only a short walk from the metro station + free onsen usage + all equipment avaliable

Review 122:you can choose your own pillow. onsen staff were really helpful and polite. They recommend the best way to travel the city. :) free stuff in the vending machine every morning.

Review 123:I highly recommend this hotel for those travelling in Osaka. Though it's a 5-8minutes walk from Awaza Station but it's all worth it as you can relax and enjoy every night at the onsen. I compliment all the staff, they are all polite and friendly. Hope to see you again Super Hotel Osaka.

Review 124:Hotel should clearly mention on their website and on booking.com thatthey do not allow tattooed people in the hot spring due to ancientJapanese culture. We picked the hotel for the hot spring and ended upnot being able to use it. Rooms are very small, as it is known to be inJapan. Bathroom was also very compact, but stable hot water andamenities in the room. There is no phone in the room, only one in thehallway for entire floor. They give free bottle of water only if you optout for not having your room cleaned, but still they will give you oneset of towels and yukata in a bag. A word of advise: avoid the smallrestaurant called Barvida in the close vicinity, extremely expensive andportions can only be considered as sample size like a joke. Foraffordable food try convenience stores or ramen places. For decent foodgo to Shinsaibashi or Namba to eat to your heart's content. Also ifyou are travelling with big luggages, you can take Awaza station exit 4with an elevator, since the closest exit 9 does not have it.

Review 125:Wi-fi, bed, clean, neighborhood and environment, quiet area other thansome noisy guests who are mostly american born asian kids. Empty fridgeis a good idea since there is a 7-11 right next to hotel for continuoussupply of drinks. Some of the staff cannot speak English or can barelycommunicate, but all of them are extremely polite and crazy helpful. There is a coffee vending machine offering complimentary coffee from6.30 to 9.30. breakfast is quite good, it lacks fruits in the mix butthey still try to change the menu everyday a little bit.

Review 126:Rooms are a bit small, but it is just a minor issue. Still much better than a capsule hotel

Review 127:Close to metro stop, not far from Namba station and Osaka station, nice district with several restaurants and useful shops, clean, staff, hot springs

Review 128:The rooms and bathrooms are very small by western standards.

Review 129:The hot spring facilities are excellent. If you like onsen you will enjoy this hotel. I also enjoyed the Japanese style breakfast. Location is good. Very helpful and professional staff.

Review 130:We can't watch cable tv. All channels are in Japanese, there are no english subtitles.

Review 131:The pillows are very comfortable. The staff are courteous. They clean up the rooms all the time. They are very helpful in giving directions.

Review 132:you should only book the breakfast if you can make it out of your room not later than 9:00. No toilet brush in the bathroom

Review 133:pretty good onsen, bicycle rental for free, friendly and helpful service, very quiet, nice area

Review 134:The subway is a little far but still convenient. However, if you carry with a large luggage, the right exit of the subway might takes you some time the first time you arrive there. when you stays longer,it won't be a problem any more.

Review 135:The staff at the front desk are quite helpful. Most of them are very fluent in English and act very hospital to the guests. And the service offered by them was of high quality, like we can take the chance to choose the favorite pillow downstairs if there still left some and gave advice on the traffic lines. Better still, the hot spring is of course a plus based on the hotel fees, it’s worth the payment. The sanitation is pleasing as well. The nearest subway is about 5 minutes walk and nearyby there are many 7-11 and familly mart too.I would like to recommend it to my friends who want to pay a visit to Osaka.

Review 136:Staff is really good and so polite. Room small but that is japanese Style. To reach this hotel u must get the pink subway line to Awaza Then exit 9, when u out turn on r right till u find a 7eleven and Then u Will find it on r right.

Review 137:Room is just a bit small for two people, but manageable.

Review 138:The public bath in its own premise is very professionally run, well-organised and great for relaxing after a whole walking in the city. Buffet breakfast was good, room is comfortable. All Super hotels let customers choose their own pillow.
