Reviews for The Coachhouse

Review 1:Apart from the bad weather, there were no bad points.

Review 2:Staff very friendly. The accommodation was first class. The bed and pillows were FANTASTIC. We would recommend this accommodation.

Review 3:Could not fault this property. It was clean, spacious and contained everything we needed and a lot more. Dave the host was fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. Can't wait to go again.

Review 4:nothing

Review 5:Location - nicely situated for access to main routes but situated off the main road and nice and quiet and peaceful. Property had more than adequate facilities, was clean and comfortable.

Review 6:Very comfortable clean and all needs catered for. Very close to park, swimming pool and promenade within short walk, welcome pack and bottle of wine which was very unexpected and appreciated.

Review 7:Coat hooks would be nice downstairs to avoid draping jackets over dining chairs. A lamp in the upstairs hall would also be helpful. Instructions on recycling would avoid confusion. Minor details though and in no way affected our lovely stay.

Review 8:Relaxed and friendly host, helpful but not overbearing. Very clean accommodation with lovely beds, bedding and linen making for a very comfortable stay. Good location in walking distance to town.

Review 9:My husband says nothing and I have to agree, although I would suggest the sofa bed is used for the smaller/ light weight ones or an additional quilt to pad the actual mattress.

Review 10:We could not have been happier. My husband and I travelled with both sets of parents. We found David from the start of the booking to be of great help as we had to re-book due to illness. I could not recommend this venue or the hospitality of the owners high enough. Set up pack on arrival and a guided tour also so we could ask any questions. David and family on hand, but not intrusive. We would definitely return! Great location and I can see why families with children would love this. I was a little worried about food in the area having family who have visited for over 50 years, but... try the Toad Pub on the promenade, also recommended by David.

Review 11:Nothing!

Review 12:Everything - super owners couldn't do enough for is - even gave us a lift to a restaurant and brought us a selection of games! Facilities were great - lots of space for 6 people with lots of utensils, pans for cooking! Will definitely be staying again!!

Review 13:The TV was a little dated. Kept muting itself half way through the Murray match!

Review 14:The location was beautiful, Dave was lovely. We had never been to Wales before but thanks to a wonderful first time. We will return! Thank you

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:Everything we needed - warm, comfortable, and peaceful - free wi-fi. Lovely area to walk the dog a few steps away. Close to Eirias Park and all amenities. David and his family were perfect hosts, on hand to answer any questions, but never imposing.

Review 17:Beds were really uncomfortable and we ended up putting all duvets on sofa bed and all 5 of us sleeping there Could also do with additional wc

Review 18:Accomodation was very clean and tidy and had sufficient equipment for us family if 5

Review 19:Only the weather let this place down, and no one can do anything about that! Pets were allowed but there was an extra £10 charge which we had no choice but to pay but we did feel was a little expensive for one small dog for one night.

Review 20:We were greeted with a very warm welcome - David the owner was friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was even nicer than in the photos. There was delicious homemade welsh cakes, tea, cofree, milk and cereal provided. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Review 21:There was nothing to dislike about the cottage or the family that own the property. both very nice.

Review 22:My wife and I stayed at the Coach house for three nights with our large Labrador Monty. My married son and his wife stayed for a couple of nights too. there was plenty of room for us all and we enjoyed our time there. We really used the cottage as a base for walking in Snowdonia but after long days out we found the cottage to be welcoming and comforable

Review 23:The Coachhouse is in a great location, and close to ammenities. It was very clean, comfortable with everything you need for a break . It was brilliant that it catered for children with the lovely equipment in the garden. Would definately stay there again , Thank You.

Review 24:Friendly welcome from the owners, clean comfortable accomadation, comfortable beds, comfortable sofa's a well equipped kitchen plus welcome pack, everything you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. Plus free wi fi which my niece loved. Definately another visit will be planned.

Review 25:Booked the venue for one evening for a group of 4 friends, spotlessly clean and very warm and inviting with underfloor heating etc. Would certainly stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Review 30:David and his family are really friendly people. Our car broke down and he offered to help fix it and take us into town shopping!! Never had this level of service before, they really do go the extra mile to ensure your stay is wonderful. We will be back again (hopefully in a more reliable car!!!). Thanks guys x

Review 31:The single beds were too soft for me.

Review 32:The landlord is very nice and welcoming. The cottage is very clean and as described online. Everything you need for a comfortable stay (Hair dryer, tissue, coffee, tea, milk, kettle, bath towels etc)**Remember to bring your own shampoo and bath gel** Brilliant location, it is walking distance to the town centre. Good speed wifi.

Review 36:What's not to say, a comfortable cottage, very friendly service, miles more than we expected for the price, we will be coming back again soon Many thanks Linda, Kaz & Jen

Review 37:Everything was perfect for us.

Review 38:The owner was very helpful right from the point of booking The Coach House. Great accommodation, exceptionally clean and tidy with off road parking too. 10 min walk from the beach, short drive to supermarkets. Great location overall. Very comfy beds. Small play area in the garden. Will certainly sleep 4 in comfort. 6 with the pull out sofa bed (nor needed by us). Will definitely be back again.

Review 39:Although the accommodation was nice it could be doing with a mirror in the bedrooms as all it has is a small cosmetic round mirror in the double room and one in the hall. The bathroom did have a large mirror but no nearby plug sockets. It's hard to blow dry & straighten your hair with a cosmetic mirror. We only stayed for 3 night which was fine but if you were to stay longer just be aware this place doesn't have a washing machine. The double bedroom could be doing with a chair for elderly people to sit on whilst getting dressed. A member of our party has arthritis and found it difficult to get dressed. I slept in the twin room but was informed that the mattress on the double bed has a large dip in it. The gate on the property drive could be removed to make it easier to park at the "guest" side as it's a sharp bend entering and parking on the property driveway. I'm not a complainer, I'm just an experienced traveler.. These little things being sorted would make the accommodation at 10/10.

Review 40:Nice modern open plan Livingroom and kitchen. The location is ideal for exploring North Wales. The single beds where extremely comfortable. We received a small welcome hamper of milk, welsh cakes and butter which is a nice welcoming gift :D

Review 41:Everything was very good. Great location and terrific value.

Review 42:Excellent home from home... Spotlessly clean in great location with welcoming owners.

Review 43:Trying to find the accommodation was a bit difficult.

Review 44:Location was fantastic, owners were very helpful and facilitates were clean and comfortable.

Review 45:Oven wouldn't work. Had to reorganise the planned dinner when we found after 1/2 hr that it was still cold.

Review 46:Good size for 4 people.

Review 47:Warm welcome. Clean and comfortable. Good location . Nice welcome pack

Review 48:This is a lovely property and was in an ideal location for our purpose (golf). Clean, comfortable and peaceful with good facilities.

Review 49:No 3G network signal so if you have tree uk network no chance for use it in side the cottage. WiFi sort most communication problems.

Review 50:All

Review 51:We had an amazing stay, beautiful cottage and the owners was lovely couldn't do enough and enjoyed a beer or 3 with them. Deffo be back.

Review 52:Everthing

Review 53:Nothing.

Review 54:Not a bad experience just needed a few more tools for cooking

Review 55:Cleanliness and warmth Attention to detail Hospitality of owners

Review 56:Lovely slef catering cottage, close to the beach and a stones throw away from Elis Park. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Review 57:Suited our two young grandchildren who were with us

Review 58:We absolutely loved it here! Could have stayed forever! Very welcoming and helpful! !

Review 73:Lovely cottage, immaculately clean. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.

Review 74:Nothing to dislike all things scored a10

Review 75:Friendly Owners, very clean and great facilities all at a great price.

Review 76:Great place for our family to stop over, like a home from home!

Review 77:Excellent location, clean, tidy, all round 10/10 Thanks

Review 78:Decor, cleanliness, the town, the owners.

Review 79:Good value for money and a very nice place to stay. This was my second time at Couch house so that definitely tells it all . I would definitely go back again.

Review 80:Excellent value for money, we were made to feel very welcome. We asked whether there was bed guard for out toddler, which there wasn't, but by the time we got back from a trip out, one had been purchased and installed.

Review 81:Very clean, well maintained cosy cottage. Great welcome pack inc fresh welsh cakes on arrival. Children loved feeding the chickens in the morning, owner very helpful. High beds, great for adults but not so much for small children who roll around! Having said that though we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Review 82:The accommodation was lovely a real home from home. The welcome pack was very good and the facilities were great, everything there you needed. Would definitely go again.

Review 83:As a self-catering option, it gave us more room to relax in than a standard hotel or Travelodge. Close to the town centre as well, but away from the traffic.

Review 84:There weren't any negatives during our stay.

Review 85:During correspondence with the Coach house it was mentioned that my daughter was celebrating her 17th birthday. On arrival there was a birthday cake and balloon-very thoughtful :-) The accommodation was excellent. Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The fact that when booking there wasn't any stipulation as to how long your stay needed to be was also a bonus, although wishing we had booked for longer.

Review 86:Unfortunately colwyn bay was closed!

Review 87:The cottage had every thing you needed including a warm welcome, a welcome pack and fresh eggs which the children helped to collect when feeding the resident chickens. We had a dog and the location was excellent. There was a nature reserve across the way, a park and the beach just 15mins walk. Central to lots of locations for walking and surrounding beaches to go exploring

Review 88:Lovely, warm welcome. Very clean cottage stocked with much appreciated essentials like tea and milk. Very convenient for visiting the coast. The children enjoyed playing on the trampoline and slide and exploring the adjacent nature reserve.

Review 89:Colwyn bay is a bit bland especially for children who like a beach but Llandudno is only a 10 min drive .

Review 90:Very clean and modern accommodation we couldn't have wanted any more the children loved it especially the chickens and trampoline and the Easter eggs on arrival . Excellent value for money close to shops and the beach,( not much of a beach at colwyn bay ) nearby Llandudno worth the 10 minute drive for a bit more life and the great orme . Would recommend to anyone .

Review 91:We were only there one night. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we were heading to Edinburgh.

Review 92:Great location, clean, comfortable, spacious, fantastic host, great value.

Review 93:We went to visit family, location of the coach house was just five minutes walk away, staff were great, they involved our children with feeding their chickens. Had trampoline, footballs etc for our children to play with.

Review 94:Not very cosy. Needs lamps and a rug in sitting room or a dimmer. bit disappointed that there wasnt a seperate garden for dogs to run in but owners garden which we shared. that was only negative.

Review 95:Owners very helpful. nice welcoming gifts with tea and coffee and milk.

Review 96:that we wernt staying longer. i loved it.

Review 97:Right from the outset,David was a wonderful host. The coach-house itself was large, warm and very well furnished. lovely bedrooms and such a quiet location yet 2 mins from town facilities. Really look forward to another stay.

Review 98:The only slight downside was the beds - my partner struggled to sleep in the single beds and the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable with the springs in the mattress

Review 99:The location was great - in the middle of the woods yet only minutes from the town centre and there were chickens in the garden which the kids loved. The cottage was spacious and warm with the underfloor heating, the kitchen was really well equipped, the Monopoly set kept the kids entertained, we had wifi, and there were lovely fluffy white towels in the bathroom. The owners were helpful and friendly. We'd definitely stay again.

Review 100:One of the beds on the small side if used by an adult but perfect for children.

Review 101:Great location for exploring North Wales. Peaceful setting with owners on hand to answer any questions. Lovely welcome pack and tea & coffee in the kitchen. Only stayed 2 nights but would stay longer next time!

Review 102:We were 1 night here. It was wonderfull day off. We had 2 floor cottage for 5 people. The accommodation was excellent , close to the beach and many more spectacular natural beauty. In the kitchen you can find everything that you will need. The owners are very kind and nice people. If we go to the Wells we will stay here.

Review 103:All perfect.

Review 104:The cottage is very cozy and also facilitied with everything you can think of, even the milk and corn for breakfast. The owner is very nice and helpful. The best hotel i have ever stayed.

Review 105:Difficulty locating cottage on arriving in Colwyn Bay. Two cottages on one site and the Coachhouse name not visible from the road. Very narrow one way lane from main road.

Review 106:Well equipped cottage with bedding and towels provided. Also butter, milk and welsh cakes on arrival. Underfloor heating when needed.Friendly family owned. Parking on site. Close to beaches and Snowdonia. Bus and train connections..

Review 107:Sat Nav was confused by the postcode, so some difficulty and time delay in finding The Coachhouse, but the owner came out to find us and lead us to our destination! Couldn't ask for more...

Review 108:I was able to book the Coachhouse for just one night to facilitate a visit to the Welsh Mountain Zoo, which is great considering many self catering cottages impose a 3 nights minimum stay. The service provided was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and flexible. The location of the Coachhouse was perfect for access to the town and the zoo.
