Reviews for Blue Waters Bed And Breakfast
Review 1:The road outside is quite busy and must be even busier in the summer so some of the rooms are a bit noisy.
Review 2:A pleasing and comfortable room which was beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches. Breakfast is plentiful and is served in the room.
Review 3:Good size room, clean, friendly staff. Located right next to the beach - couldn't see it from the venue but literally on the end of their very small road.
Review 4:Only that we are more used to a softer mattress.
Review 5:The breakfast served in our room was a GREAT touch. The shower room was excellent good size enclosure. A very clean room, good décor.
Review 6:The bed was excellent, the shower was strong and hot. Breakfast was much more than we expected: local bacon, eggs and sausages, excellent mushrooms, gracious and hospitable hosts. We were in Seaton when the Christmas lights were turned on - it was a bit of a magical night: some drinks at the local pub, singing carols in the square ..... December- so cold, damp and windy... but just lovely.
Review 7:Made me feel very at home. Wonderful to be served breakfast in your own room. Spacious room and very handy to be able to walk into the town for a meal within 5 minutes
Review 8:We got caught out by the 'breakfast isn't included in the price' misunderstanding - so had to stump up an extra £10 we weren't expecting (but it was very good) Mattresses were memory foam (we think) and quite a strange experience
Review 9:Clean, tidy, modern room We got there early and were allowed to access our room well before time Very friendly staff Some nice little touches around the place - DVDs / books to borrow, fresh milk Breakfast was very good
Review 10:Didn't like the sausage at breakfast but that's just a personal choice . Everything else was great
Review 11:The owners were very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble
Review 12:Nothing although my husband thought the shower could of been a bit more powerful but I thought it was fine...
Review 13:Breakfast was brilliant... Especially being served in our room, lovely fresh coffee, hot breakfast and hot toast too! Yum
Review 14:I was annoyed that there was a charge to pay by credit card as I had no option .I actually thought that a payment would have been taken before we arrived as Booking .com had credit card details,
Review 15:Conveniently located and comfortable.Breakfast in room.
Review 16:We stayed in the suite which was fantastic as it meant we could relax and sit in comfort watching tv on one of our nights after the drive down. The couple who run it Angela and Richard were very helpful as i left some clothing behind which they have kindly posted back and i hope to receive in the next couple of days.
Review 17:Nothing negative
Review 18:We had a friendly welcome from Angela on arrival, Our room was clean and comfortable. Lovely shower.Large breakfast which was excellent, also good choice of lighter options Would visit again.
Review 19:Nothing really - I guess the shower could've been warmer and more powerful but it suited my husband fine, so that's just me!
Review 20:The bed was super comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpful, was a bonus having breakfast served to the room (I could stay in my pjs!). Everything was spotlessly clean - big points for this! Also loved the personal touches like DVD library and the décor.
Review 21:Right on main road, very loud. No black out curtains in bedrooms and VERY bright street lamps right outside. People staying upstairs kept us (and small, tired children) awake until 1am - noise travelled. Had requested a travel cot and explained we would be arriving late, but it hadn't been put up for us. Had asked if could use the stove, but no matches were left for us. Breakfast requests were not all read properly - although what was produced was lovely. Very kind owner just unfortunate that we hit a busy time?
Review 22:Lovely large space & comfortable beds, could have been lovely if requests had been taken on board by the friendly owner; sea at end of road.
Review 23:Location of the property was a bit disappointing. Window looked out onto a building site.
Review 24:Very clean with huge bathroom. Excellent breakfast which kept us going all day.
Review 25:the room was very nice with a super king bed like our own. great location being near the sea front and town centre also a fantastic breakfast, and a very nice lady
Review 26:we would have preferred to eat when we were ready downstairs instead of booking a time slot to eat in the room (which was late anyway as everyone booked the same time!)
Review 27:Easy to find and lovely owners. Very comfy clean room with great tea/ coffee making facilities and Wi Fi
Review 28:It was a bit uncomfortable to have the breakfast served in our room.
Review 29:The quiet resort town of Seaton, with its unique pebble beach, is worth an overnight stay. The Blue Waters is a well-kept bed and breakfast with friendly and professional hosts.
Review 30:Location was excellent, close to all amenities with lovely walks along the river and esplanade. Our hosts were brilliant, very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast very good and our room was bright and airy with a good size shower, lovely comfy bed and good size wardrobe. Couldn't fault any of our stay.
Review 31:Warm friendly welcome. Gorgeous decor in our room which was also spotless Comfortable bed Delicious breakfast served in our room Very helpful and friendly owners
Review 32:Very friendly welcome and the room was very good. We did have to wait a while for our breakfast, (not a criticism), but it was excellent when it arrived.
Review 33:Seaton wasn't for us but can't fault the B&B.
Review 34:Friendly host. Amazing breakfast in our room. Ridiculously comfortable bed. Great location from centre of town with easy access to South Coast Walking Path.
Review 35:Some road noise. Parking could be tricky at times, but we were OK. Would have liked muesli or similar in choices for breakfast.
Review 36:Good large room (room 3) and bathroom and comfortable bed. Large wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Generous breakfast delivered to room at requested time. Good location for all amenities in Seaton. Appreciated availability of fresh milk.
Review 37:We stayed here on the way back from our wedding. We were absolutely shattered and we got an amazing welcome. It was exactly what we needed; homely and comforting with really friendly staff. It was comfortable and clean and had an awesome breakfast served in your room :) we stayed there with all our friends and had an amazing time.
Review 38:Such a wonderful and homely b&b, thoroughly worth a visit! Couldn't have found a better place to stay, with a better breakfast! Lovely staff, super clean and warm!
Review 39:Watch out for the seagulls - they steal your chips!
Review 40:Within easy reach of seaside and supermarket and award winning fish and chips. Substantial breakfast served in your spacious room.
Review 41:Warm welcome nice room, comfy bed ,really good breakfast.cant fault. Seaton itself is a bit tired , but seems to be livening up . We enjoyed the trams ,the small ones are bloody uncomfortable though! But the scenery is lovely.!
Review 42:Noisy local seagulls during the night necessitated closed windows.
Review 43:Very pleasant hosts and a good sized room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were excellent with a good range of possibilities. Very close to the sea front with sufficient places to eat in the evening.
Review 44:Nothing at all! I am used to having breakfast in a communal room when I am a single traveller, that's all. This property is too small to warrant a dining room of it's own anyway.
Review 45:Very pleasant accommodation. Breakfast is served in each individual room, and was excellent and plentiful.
Review 46:Nothing
Review 47:Warm welcome. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast served in room big and well copked Bring binoculars wonderful bird life on estuary at low tide
Review 48:Lovely room- loved the seaside themed bits and bobs. Breakfast first rate as was the service. Lovely warm room on chilly day. Plenty of hot water. Good supply of tea and milk.
Review 49:We had a problem with the main door lock. My husband had gone for a walk and on returning couldn't get the key to open the door. I went down stairs to let him in and I couldn't open it from the inside. Had to phone the owner who we discovered does not live at the property. Her comment was that someone must have locked the door from the inside. The door is self locking when someone goes in which we knew but obviously someone else didn't. A sign telling people not to lock the door and why would be helpful. Very distressing and could be disastrous if there was a fire or a medical issue.
Review 50:Convenient location
Review 51:Very clean tidy and helpful people running it, it was one of the best places we have stayed in and would certainly go back again, thank you very much for the few days we were there.
Review 52:Nothing major just the bed was a firm one which suited my husband but was too firm for me, but as thus was just for one night it did not spoil my experience.
Review 53:The hostess was very friendly, the accommodation was excellent, clean and comfortable room. We were surprised at the low price compaired to others in the same vicinity.especially as the wonderful breakfast was included in this price.
Review 54:Breakfast is served in your room and the table is also ideal for a takeaway tea. Room is bright and airy with ample space. Our bathroom was very spacious.
Review 55:Slightly inaccurate as it is feedback rather than anything we did not like. We did mention these things to the owner The mirror in the bathroom is great for tall women or men not so good for me at 5foot 4. The small fridge in the hall hums really loudly. I got up and switched it off at 11 and back on at 6am. Minor moans really
Review 56:The room a nice size, it was clean and fresh, nice bedding and a comfortable bed. Lots of tea and coffee making facilities in the room a nice mug and fresh milk available. Hairdryer and tv as standard. The breakfast is lovely. I am fussy and hate greasy food it was looked to perfection ..yum!
Review 57:Ron and Angela were very obliging when it came to having to have a take away in room because my uncle was too unwell to. venture out for dinner. Comfortable a
Review 58:Not much to do in Seaton. First time visit.
Review 59:Nice big room with modern ensuite, freshly decorated. Good breakfasts served in room. Pleasant owners. Good location
Review 60:Parking was on the road side - luckily we managed to get a space close by.
Review 61:Unusual but acceptable layout. Much appreciated breakfast in room as standard, which many hotels can not manage.
Review 62:While it wasn't a problem for us, the only thing I would mention is the lack of a shaver point in the bathroom.
Review 63:B&B is just 100 yards from the seafront but sheltered from the sea-winds with just a short walk into the town. Breakfast is served in your room which was quite cool and quirky. It was hearty and well cooked - Best poached eggs I've had for a long time. Plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biccys and fresh milk available in small fridges in the rooms and the hall. Large rooms and large en-suite with loads of hot water. Richard & Angela were friendly, informative and work hard to make this small B&B a success. I would certainly stay here again. Thanks guys! :)
Review 64:DVD player in TV didn't work, which was very disappointing for my daughter. Street lights despite good curtains meant the room never got really dark, and being on the street it was a little noisy.
Review 65:Close to beach and a good price.
Review 66:Nothing major would put a headboard on the bed so as not resting back on rail and also bigger towels
Review 67:Very easy to find, nice welcome and needs catered for, great pub also mentioned
Review 68:None
Review 69:Normally I hate or doesnt like to book a bed and breakfast because most of them not accomodating with kids but this B & B is the very best owner I met and mostly accomodate my kids without any problem. Facilities is very good and the breakfast was very delicious and complete:-)
Review 70:Absolutely nothing
Review 71:Another beautiful and comfortable room. Immaculately clean. Breakfast was lovely. Our hosts were very friendly and obliging and the B&B is very well placed for town and the beachfront.
Review 72:very small gripe as the breakfast were so good, but only white sliced on offer which was a little disappointing
Review 73:The room and bathroom were of very good size, very well appointed, warm, comfortable and well decorated, spotlessly clean with everything you could need. Absolutely excellent value for money and the owners were friendly and helpful.
Review 74:Nothing to put here
Review 75:The accommodation was top notch and great value for money. The host -Angela- excellent and friendly but not in your face. The breakfast was amazing. The place itself was lovely and clean. And I'm a clean freak. The town also had good eating places within walking distance. The beach was also good so what more could you want?
Review 76:We stayed in the suite that was extremely large, homely and very well maintained. The breakfast was excellent and was enjoyable to be able to eat it in the dining room/lounge.
Review 77:Nothing really. A large Tesco has been built almost opposite, but it's not a problem.
Review 78:We enjoyed eating breakfast in our room, not because we are unsociable but because it felt really relaxing and comfortable and we could take our time! Angela is very welcoming and friendly and helpful with regards to places to eat in the evening. And yes, The Ship at Axmouth is good value for money, pleasant surroundings and has a well balanced menu. We found plenty of space to park in the side street by the B and B. We only stayed for one night but would definitely book again if we are in the area.
Review 79:very minor quibbles TV could be larger Not the smartest area in Seaton
Review 80:Lovely bed Clean room with some character Superb breakfast included Incredible value for money Excellent tea/coffee making facilities - with fresh milk available
Review 81:nothing
Review 82:Food healthy plenteous Best Bed slept well Great sized room and ensuite plenty of light Decorations and pictures were well down and use of shells and bric brac and other things made rooms
Review 83:The room was very clean and very well furnished. supply of tea and coffee would last a week , wifi worked brilliantly, - the bed. So comfortable as for the breakfast. excellent, Great value and very highly recommended.
Review 84:Our two night break was great from the welcome on arrival to the end of our stay. The room was hotel standard and the breakfast excellent, and especially nice served in our room. A great base from which to tour the local area.
Review 85:Parking could be a problem in the high season. Breakfast in the room is not ideal
Review 86:Good location with excellent eating facilities close by. An older, well run, clean establishment with a good breakfast. Nearby town of Beer worth a visit
Review 87:Needs blackout blinds/curtains in bedroom.
Review 88:Friendly staff, very clean rooms, Mira shower, good quality breakfast served in your room, central location near seafront.
Review 89:Nothing, enjoyed the stay and B&B very much.
Review 90:Close to Lyme Regis and Jurasic coast without the traffic and higher cost of accomodation etc. Very good places to eat in close proximity and very welcoming hosts.
Review 91:A bit of traffic passes early in the evening although this did not bother us
Review 92:This B&B is very clean and comfortable. The owner is lovely and very friendly. The place is situated very centrally from many attractions in the area. Beer quarry caves are a must while here!
Review 93:+ Welcoming and friendly atmosphere. + The location is very good, just a few minutes walk from the beach; + The complimentary breakfast was ***superb***. It was cooked according to our choices from the menu (which has a great variety of options including a full English breakfast), and served directly to our room at the time we asked the night before. We really loved it. + The lady who runs the place is fantastic: very kind and welcoming, and she efficiently made sure that we had everything we needed. + There was a variety of DVDs, books and magazines available for browsing and borrowing at any time. + Free wifi (although we didn't use it, as we wanted to unplug ourselves and have a proper break)
Review 94:Absolutely nothing!
Review 95:Our room was immaculately clean and very tastefully furnished. Plentiful supply of tea and coffee, wifi worked absolutely fine - but the piece de resistance was the bed. So comfortable and cosy! Topped off by a terrific breakfast. Great value and very highly recommended.
Review 96:room too hot at time needed to open windows causing issues with road noise from traffic
Review 97:breakfast served in your room location of sea front and town center from B & B
Review 98:The landlady wasn't very friendly and we had the feeling that we were a bother to her. The breakfast wasn't very good and it was served without love or interest. The bed was small and very lumpy. And during our stay our bed was not made once - that was definitely a first for us!
Review 99:We liked the fact that our room had it's own entrance from the street. It felt like a self-contained flat (we stayed in the groundfloor family room).
Review 100:Steep narrow staircase may be a problem for elderly or immobile people.
Review 101:Good welcome on arrival Very pleasant and helpful Landlady Good size room spotlessly clean. Excellent nights sleep. Breakfast served in room by Landlady. A very fair price. Highly reccomendable
Review 102:We were transit passengers. The rooms are friendly, DVD player, WiFi perfect. Breakfast very nice, served in our room. Pleasant location, only a corner to the beach. Parking free in the street. We would stay here again.
Review 103:Beds not made smart every day Towels not refreshed as and when required
Review 104:Size of rooms Breakfast served in rooms Clean presentation Caring owners Good location to explore area
Review 105:Shower in Rm 3 was clean and well appointed, but the cracking of part of the floor beneath the base was disconcerting.
Review 106:Clean room, with quirky and colourful décor. Hostess friendly, full of good advice, and genuinely hospitable. Breakfast brought to the room helped make the stay relaxing. Seaton itself has a quiet charm, and is within easy each of several of our tourist destinations - Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Golden Cap & St Gabriel.
Review 107:Coudn't open the windows. I think they had airconditioning on. There were also lots of nicknacks everywhere, which aren't to my taste, but maybe suit a British seaside destination. They could save themselves a lot of dusting!
Review 108:Very clean, very nice breakfast served in the room. Near the front and the harbour at the mouth of the Axe.
Review 109:Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. An excellent breakfast served in your room. Excellent location, 2 mins from beach and 5 mins from town. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.
Review 110:Accommodation worked really well for our family group. The owners were so, so lovely and could not be more helpful. Already booked again for next year. Thank you for your welcome and kindness xx
Review 111:Main rooms upstairs, some downstairs accommodation but would be difficult for some people with mobility problems. Limited parking.
Review 112:Easy to find, good location places to eat within walking distance. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, small enough to be homely. Would stay here again.
Review 113:Breakfast delivered in three stages - hard to do, I know but if delivering to rooms it would be good to have it arrive all at once. Would not, however, stop me from staying here again.
Review 114:Spacious, comfortable room - larger than most I've stayed in. Noticeably comfortable mattress. Lovely owner. Good breakfast delivered to room. Central location.
Review 115:Excellent family run B&B. Beautiful bathroom Good plentiful breakfast Comfy bed What more can one ask of a B&B within a stone throw of the sea and all amenities, Many thanks.
Review 116:the breakfast was fantastic its a must, bed was very comfortable, room was very clean. Angela and Richard are very helpful Just booked again, would highly recommend.
Review 117:To be very picky bed was too soft and covers too hot -purely personal note! Mini fridge was a little noisy but nice touch, could just unplug if not required Great little find highly recommended
Review 118:Pretty much all of it!
Review 119:Next to a busy road that had loads of cars speeding through the village late at night. Not a fault of the B&B but if you are a light sleeper, you may wish to keep away from Harbour Road!
Review 120:Very cosy room, large bed, large shower. Well organised and breakfast is served in the room - all home-cooked food too.
Review 121:Shower unit was quite small. Parking could be a problem when busy.
Review 122:Our first time in a B & B, found it friendly, clean, some thoughtful touches such as a bottle of water in the room, wine glasses too. Good choices at breakfast. Free WiFi. Plenty of local information, leaflets etc available.
Review 123:The shower was a little small for my man, though having the shower curtain wrap itself around him was such a laugh. Yet this was a minor detail.
Review 124:Lovely cheerful light room.liked having breakfast in our room. The hosts were very friendly and just made us feel home from home.breakfast was great and the bed comfortable, definitely recommend it.
Review 125:Sweet room, nice located at the beach of Seaton. I liked the fact that there was a tiny table in the room where breakfast is served.
